Cast of Characters: Gwen Stacy, Bando George

Gwen Stacy has posed:
There was apparently no way to take this life of vigilantism out of Bando. Gwen had tried to nudge him, first when they had went against that gang on the building. She thought Bando would had gotten disheartened with how that family nearly got endangered. Or after when he came across smugglers near some ruins Gwen had chosen for them to train in. Sure, they had been ran off and while it was clear that Bando was a trouble magnet she also knew the best she could now was try to train him the best way she could.

And that meant coming out on patrol. Do or die! Well, hopefully not die, but you know ....!

Ghost Spider has been keeping an ear out of the police comms, using her spider-network for it, the AR tech on her mask shifting focus here and there, pointing to various alerts in the city. But tonight she was focused on Queens, sliding up alongside a building and sending Bando a message. "I am getting something." she tells him. She had given him an intercomm so they could communicate and no trouble like the one that happened with those smugglers could happen again. Now he'd know whether she hired some thugs to go after him or not!

"Bank. Couple of blocks down. Let's go." It's a classic to most superheroes. But had Bando actually attempted to stop a bank robbery? That's what they would find out.

Bando George has posed:
"A bank!?" Bando's mind goes to the movie heists that he's seen in the past. Machine guns, suicide vests, beautiful hostages! "So okay, um," he shakes his hands, and types back. "Okay, okay, so wait, it's already like, night time, so nobody's there, right?" That's a little less stress, though disappointing on the front of beautiful hostages to rescue.

He's not wearing any mask this time, mainly because he recently had his previous outfit a little destroyed. He does, however, have a painter's mask. That'll do. He starts making his way down the sidewalk, picking up to a jog.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"It all depends on how late they close. There's always the tellers, and the bank personnel." Maybe just not the beautiful customers that Bando is dreaming about! But Ghost Spider is already on the move, a web shot against an adjacent building and she 'flying' across the block, body swinging as she gains momentum to jump in the air and starts gaining speed while she travels through. It's not exactly far though. Just a couple of blocks.

But when Ghost Spider is arriving she notes there's a police barricade already. Mmmm, this might be a touch more complicated.. And who is that Captain shouting orders. It sound rather familiar...

It's when she arrives that she notes who it is. Captain Stacy. Or in this case, her father. But she can't go back now, not with Bando in tow. So ..., time to go face this. She lands in near the police.

"So, what's going on inside?" Is her tone a bit more respectful, back a bit more straight? Captain Stacy looks over. "Ghost Spider." a nod, "It's ..." and then he notes Bando coming in.

"Aren't you a bit young to be doing this?" eyes going from head to toe on the choice of 'hero' suit that Bando chose.

Bando George has posed:
Bando glances over to Ghost Spider. He's been had! "Me?" he asks through the painter's mask, being dressed in a black longsleeve shirt and black jeans. He does have the same utility belt that he had on earlier. "I was just um," he looks toward Gwen. "I'm really experienced," he declares. Lying isn't his strong suit, clearly. He looks back at the Captain, and back to her. Help!

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"Any other youngster around playing hero?" Captain Stacy replies. Harsh! But at least the man has a faint smile on his lips when he says those words, a glance to Gwen. "Besides Ghost Spider here. But what can I say? The city seems to be full of you people these days. Trying to be heroes. But you aren't the ones picking up the ones that get beat up, or worse, from the gutter." yes, he very much seems to be against vigilantism.

There doesn't seem to be much help coming from Ghost Spider. In fact she appears almost as if she had frozen up. For some reason. Decidedly weird considering she always have a comeback or two ready for anything. Intimidated? Maybe. Or something else...

Eventually the little standoff is broken down by a shout coming from the bank. "We want a van! No cops! And a way open to the airport! No cops or we start shooting hostages!" someone at one of the windows, masked, holding a man at gunpoint. Captain Stacy looks over with a frown. "This is what we are dealing with. They got in, one of the tellers activated the silent alarm so we surrounded the place. They took hostages and we *believe* there are at least 5 assailants inside, but we can't be sure. They are keeping the rooms dark. And we can't get in without endangering the hostages. So we are in a sort of stalemate."

Bando George has posed:
Bando's brow knits, honestly looking a bit put off. For someone who's usually so bouncy, that seemed to strike a nerve a little. "On it," he says, taking no heed at the veiled warning about heroes in the gutter. Fwump.

And he's gone. Well, all of him except the belt, which seems to have not gone with him this time. Nowhere to be seen on scene, he must have just teleported inside the bank.

"Hey, don't point guns at people," he declares, "Somebody could get hurt!" He is standing directly behind the bank robber. "And seriously, wait til the bank's empty at least, that way you don't have other people in danger." That's right, his surprise round is spent...lecturing the bank robber, and not even looking around to see where his allies are.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Oh shit.

Gwen was about to pipe up with a plan for them to go in. Maybe use Bando's teleportation to go on the back, unlock a door so she could slide in. But nah, he teleports right inside. And that danger sense of hers flares right up all of a sudden. Fantastic! She clearly needs to have a talk with the boy. Captain Stacy is still looking dumbfounded at what just happened when Gwen shoots a web up to the building. "Prepare to go in!" she says, the bounciness returning and she reaching over to pick a couple of smoke bombs from nearby before she throws herself up onto the building...

The robber looks .., surprised. But then that surprise round is spent talking. So he turns, still holding the gun to the hostage. "Stand back or I am gonna shoot his brains out! I swear to God!" the man's voice clearly violent, and desperate too.

There are more behind. The cock of a gun being primed is heard. Someone is pointing it at Bando.

Bando George has posed:
Bando hears the cock of the gun /just/ as he was about to yeet that gun away from the bank robber. Oh yeah, the captain did say there were more, didn't he? He slowly turns, raising his hands. "Okay, so, I think I just mentioned that pointing guns at people is bad," he confesses. He glances around the bank territory, and his heart races a little against his desire. Or maybe it was all that coffee he drank earlier.

Whatever the reason, he holds his hands in the air for several seconds, before his next impulsive decision The gun disappears in Fwump. Where'd it go? Well, Bando's not precisely sure, but outside the bank, there's the clatter as a pistol hits the ground. Of course, there's a few others still present to deal with. But Bando? He just keeps his hands up, as if he had nothing to do with it. Not that it would take a rocket science degree to figure out.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"I am going to do more than just pointing it at you, kid.." And true to his word the robber's finger is just on it's way to squeezing the trigger when it ..., just disappears. Right on the nick of time too because a shot is heard outside! The same gun? Most likely. Did it hit anyone? Who knows.

At least *one* person that wasn't hit though. And that's Gwen. She takes the distraction that Bando created to go swinging in hard. Literally! The window behind the original robber is heard breaking up and Ghost Spider is in!

She is already in mid-flight into the room, those long legs sweeping around the robber's neck while one foot deftly kicks the man's gun away and she rolls to the floor, using the momentum of her rolling legs to throw the man *hard* against a wall. That's some impressive strength!

"Don't let them shoot!" Ghost Spider speaks out! One of the men lets go of the hostage they were holding and focuses on Bando, pointing at his general direction (and to Gwen), starting to shoot.

The other retreats back, still holding the hostage. "God damn superheroes..., I told you Steve! We should had went with the bank in Hell's Kitchen!"

Bando George has posed:
"You probably should have!" Bando agress with the man telling Steve his feedback.

He spins back toward the hostage holder, and *Fwump* the gun disappears from his hand, and into Bando's. He waggles it proudly. "I think you dropped--," he's cut off as the crack of the gun shoots his newly acquired weapon right out of his hand. "Whoa!" he drops to the ground, looking back at the man who shot at him. "He tried to shoot me!" he announces to Gwen, as if she didn't already know.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
That shot came real close to dropping the kid. Gwen notices it, frowning under that mask and with an impressive feat of athleticism she rolls up to her feet in a flash, another web coming out her wrist and wrapping around the man's hand and gun before it can shoot again. Not that she is done, she jumping over a long table that no human would have any business being able to, one foot used for propelling herself forward as she almost literally flies towards the man that is now trying to unstuck his gun.

Her knee connects with the man's face with a *crunch*, sending him sprawling back and onto the floor, knocked out.

The other that Bando disarmed? He lifts his hands up, surrendering. "Uh, no need to hit me.. I am good." he gets to his knees, then to the floor, hands behind his back as if ready to be arrested. He knows the drill. Most likely he as been in prison a few times!

Gwen looks sharply back at Bando. "What were you thinking?" she hisses. "Coming in here without a plan.." oh, she is angry alright.

Bando George has posed:
Bando's eyes go wide, looking up at the more seasoned crime fighter. "Plan?" Is that an English word? "There were people in trouble! I figured we should save him, and..." well, he doesn't want to admit that he let himself be goaded by the tone of Captain Stacy. Even if it wasn't THAT much of a goading. He picks himself up off the floor. "We did it!" he offers a hopeful explanation, though his eyes have a little bit of an apology to them, since things did seem to work out fairly well. Surely his hidden face is grimacing.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
With the last robber setting himself so well to be arrested Gwen obliges by tying his hands with webbing, gesturing for the hostages to make their way out of the bank. "Go. Someone will be waiting outside."

"It was only dumb luck that you weren't shot. You could had been killed." masked face turning to Bando and she shaking her head. "I don't recall you talking about being impervious to bullets when you were talking about your powers." the tone continuing serious. And maybe a touch frustrated.

"This is not all sparkly unicorns and saving people out of trouble without a care in life!" Her tone getting a pitch higher while she is talking. "People get hurt in real life, and killed if we aren't careful and responsible about what we are doing out here!" did Bando pinch a nerve on Gwen? Maybe.

"So you better think real well what you want to do from here on out. You are one step away from getting killed if you continue like this." woah!

Bando George has posed:
"Sorry!" Bando grunts out a noise of frustration. "I thought if we go in quick, they don't have time to prepare and get stuff together and... I don't know! I thought it'd be super fast, and they'd all just sit there with their mouths hanging open for a second or so, and I could just yeet their guns out into the street before they knew what was happening!" He shakes his hand. "That actually hurt, too," he admits. "Felt like when you hit a baseball with a metal bat. Kinda." He runs his hands through his hair, clearly realizing now that it was all terrible idea, even as he defends his actions.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"Come on. Lets get out of here.." Gwen isn't happy. Oh no she isn't. But she seems to be done discussing. For now. It most likely will return soon enough. She makes her way over to the doorway, rubbing at the top of her head as she glances about. It's true that they got everyone out safe, at least today. But how long will that hold? There's a sense of guilt on those shoulders. It's clear she has lost people in the past.

"Da-" pause, "Captain Stacy, it's done. We will be on our way now."

She looks to see if Bando comes out and then it's time to go.

The Captain nods at Ghost Spider then at the kid. "Well, I will be damned. Seems like we will all be home in time for dinner still." he nods at Bando before moving to continue organizing the rest of the cops, they taking the robbers into custody.

Bando George has posed:
Bando does follow as Gwen leads the way outside. When he hears Captain Stacy, he decides to take it as a small compliment. At least someone is kind of thankful. He nods, giving a polite mock salute, but doesn't dare say anything to add to the thin ice he's already skating on. Instead, he just waits for Ghost Spider's lead on the direction they are heading.
