Cast of Characters: Tabitha Smith, Samuel Guthrie

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith does not knock on doors. She does occasionally announce her presence before opening the door though. In this particular case, Tabby decides to practice precision control by hitting the outside of Sam's door with a time bomb just strong enough to rattle the door and dull the sheen of the wood without causing any real damage, but loud enough to sound like it tried to blow the door off it's hinges.

She's learning how to manipulate the sounds of her explosions see and louder is easier than softer. A lot easier.

The door rattling is immediately followed by, "Hey! It worked!" A beat pause. "Sam? You in there?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks up from where he is at the desk, and startled at first, but shakes his head smiling abit when he realizes who and what it is "Yea, I am here, come on in Tabby." He calls out. He closes out the notebook he was writing in and turns towards the door, still sitting at the desk.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith opens the door and pokes her head in to locate him before coming in more fully and leaning against the wall near the door. "So... your name has come up in my conversations recently. Not that I really need a reason to blow up your door or anything."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Ah didn't go it, you can't prove it, and if Ah did no one saw it." Giving an answer he would expect her to give before smiling. He will motion to one of the chairs "Come on in, have a seat, whats up?"

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith walks over and flops into one of the recliners and props up her feet on one arm while she leans back on the other, propped on her elbows, "So I was mentioning that my job at Kord Industries is unlikely to have survived my absence..." She gets distracted by her own thoughts at this point and squniches up her mouth for a second before she looks at him, "Did you hear about the note when I left or were you left wondering what happened to Tabby too?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "I seen you had left a note you were going, but was beginning to wonder a bit. He walks over to a mini fridge and grabs himself a cheerwine, and one of her favorite sodas, seems old habits still control stocking his mini fridge. He offers her, her soda. "Figured if you needed help you would call at least me, or one of the guys."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith whews softly, "Okay. I was concerned that everybody had been worried when Jimmy said he never heard about me leaving a note." She snaps then points a finger at Sam. "Speaking of Jimmy... he mentioned that since Kord was unlike to want me back after I ghosted for what turned into a rather long time, that you might be able to help in the job department over the short term. As a resident I shouldn't be heading off into the city all the time and just mooching room and board..." Not that she hadn't given it some serious consideration. "so Salem Center's the best place to get one of course."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Yea, Ah put in a lot of applications got a job working at Harry's Bar back and bussing tables, but going to be learning to tend bar, and such. Ah thought about delivering pizzas, but gas would have been horrid in the truck."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods as she flops further into the seat and lets her arms and legs dangle over the arms of the chair, "That's what Jimmy said, that you could probably help me out with getting a job at Harry's." Another random thought makes her grimace, "Though maybe I shouldn't ask in case I'm a bad risk. Probably made Dougie look bad with Kord when I disappeared since he helped me get the job." This is followed by the heavy sigh of a Tabby who's briefly disappointed in herself.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Well, if anyone understands those around here disappearing for a while probably Harry. He might hire you but you mainly probably be washing dishes and such, not sure if you can wait tables or not with the booze laws." He admits

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith hmms, "Washing dishes... Sounds really boring. I do not do well with boredom as you might be aware." She twists around onto her stomach and tosses up a small bomb that explodes between the chair and the ceiling.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie grins a bit and says "Well, I know but I also know if your going to want to make some funds. He might be able to use you for waiting tables, might be able to get Jay the job washing dishes if he is interested.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith chuckles, "Waiting tables sounds like more interesting, if for no other reason than I can flirt with the cute guys and get more tips."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie grins and says "AS long as you make sure you know how to take care of the drunks without blowing off appendages or destroying the chairs and tables.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith gives Sam a mock surprised open mouthed stare then over-dramatically presses her hands to her chest and just blinks at him a moment before she finally says, "Me? Blow off appendages or destroy things? Why what ever would make you think I might do such a thing?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmmms and looks at her before simply saying "Boom Boom." He takes a sip of his soda, and smiles over at her, as fitting as his own code name be, they may never be one more suiting than hers.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith bursts out in a fit of giggles before she pushes up and swings her legs around properly in the recliner. "Point. What to do about the drunks without blowing them up. Break their fingers?" This is followed by another spell of playful blinking.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Please, you don't know?" He will stand up walk over to a shelf with some DVDs and pulls one out and says "Ready to learn how to work at a bar?" He holds up "Roadhouse"

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith grins at the movie, "Now what girl would voluntarily pass up a Swayze movie with her ex?" She crosses her ankles in front of her, "Do I get popcorn? Or are we treating this like a formal training session?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Oh I think we can muster a bit of popcorn, and maybe even a candy bar or two, you still a kit kat fan?"

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods, "Hells yes. Kit-kit is my jam. So... I was joking about breaking fingers but I actually haven't seen this movie, so I am happy to watch with you."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over, and gets food "Ok, this actually has the most important thing to know about working in a bar for real. "Be nice, till it is time not to be nice, and when it is time not to be nice, try to take it outside.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith flutters her eyes again, "Pretend to be a helpless little girl and ask some strong man to take the drunk out for me?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Na, I don't think you could do that, more like escort them out with an arm bar or something if you have to before whooping that asss."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith smirks, "You don't think I could pretend to be helpless? Or you don't think I should?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie says, "I don't think you could if some guy is pissing you off." He tells her with a smile "Tabby, hon, Ah know ya more than most folks here, but when your aggravated subtle is not your friend.""

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith demonstrates exactly what he's talking about by tossing off a bb-sized plasmoid at his chest, "Subtle is not my friend unless I'm picking pockets."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and will dust the smoke off his chest "Yes, but that's not when your pissed off, some drunk grabbed your ass." He reminds her.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith wrinkles up her nose as she pictures it in her head, "And we're sure breaking fingers isn't the right answer?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie shakes his head a bit and says "Not in the bar while your working, off duty, or outside, sure, I can see it easily." He smiles over at her.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods and mutters, "I can work on my temper I guess" before she settles into her popcorn to watch the most excellent Patrick Swayze do his thing on screen.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles over to her, as they watch the movie, much but kicking happening in said movie. A few classic lines, and even a bit of romance.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith is of the easily excited persuasion. She spends the next almost two hours bouncing in her seat and actually Woohoos! any time Swayze shows more than an average amount of skin or punches someone really hard. When the credits roll, Tabby bounces out of her seat and moves toward Sam in what looks like a hug heading his way.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and will accept the hug, and says "Thought you would like that one, Dalton is a bad bad man." He tells her with a grin.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith tosses her arms around his neck and grins against his cheek. "Okay. So you've gotta help me with my temper too then. It's still pretty out of control." Not everybody would notice but he can feel Tabby go serious against him in that moment as some thought occurs to her. She hugs really tight and clings maybe a hair too long to be holding onto your ex who is dating someone else, but when she pushes back there's nothing but that classic I'm always okay Tabby smile. "Really great movie. Thanks. So... training, temper training... job interview? Wow. I'm asking a lot these days, ain't I?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "You will always be my friend, and Ah will always be there for you." He hmms and stands and gets a piece of paper and writes down an address "That's where Ah will be if not here, probably, Alexis and my place. She ain't been back out here since had an incident a while back.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith takes the paper and tucks it in a pocket after a glance, "Sorry I didn't let you know where I was when I was away. I... my phone broke pretty early on and it took me a while to get my hands on a replacement."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to that and says "Well it happens Ah would like to have known what was up, but as Ah said learned to trust you. Oh did I tell you Alexis got back into the country recently?" HE asks her

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith heads for the door, "Don't remember hearing it but that's no guarantee you didn't say it. Glad she's back. I'm sure she was missed." She pulls the door open, "Let me know when you want to train, okay?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "If you want to you can give me a hollar to you know." He offers her a smile, but does wonder quietly at something.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith grins, "Or a rattle of the doors?" There's something just a teeny bit forced in that grin for a second but then it's gone and so is Tabby as the door closes behind her.
