Synopsis: Soda and friendly chatter in the Rec room! Roxxi is excited about Monday!
Cast of Characters: Noriko Ashida, Rogue, Roxxi Smith, Michael Erickson, Laxmi Mallick

Noriko Ashida has posed:
This would normally be the time Noriko would be at work at Cosmic Bowling, probably spraying shoes and dreaming of eating all the hotdogs.  But ever since school started, Noriko hasn't been spotted at the alley.  Really ever since Jubilation Lee died and then not died.  Currently she's blurrily working through some tome of a book.  Yes, Noriko reads books.

It gets flung over her shoulder and ends up looking as if it lands perfectly.  A book that always lands on its 'feet' so to speak.  The truth of the matter is the guilt got to the speedster before impact of course.  See, it's a library book.  In fact the whole stack of them next to her are.  They all seem to be on the occult and vampire myth.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is in the Rec Room, having just arrived about five minutes ago. The Rec Room has a number of students in it because its a weekend and they're getting their precious video game time in on the main tv in the corner. That collection of teenagers are all glued to the tv and their telephones while Rogue stands in the kitchen area leaning against the counter and eating blueberries out of a cup. She's got her phone on the counter too and is in the middle of a text conversation with someone, while looking up at the teens playing games here and there, smirking at their trash talking.

Her right gloved hand goes up to her white bangs and she brushes them behind her right ear before she looks to the doorway and smiles as Nori is vissible. "Heya, Shocker." She greets the girl before popping a couple more blueberries in to her mouth.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi is not already in the rec room. Rather, she enters now, a look of awe clearly on youthful features. On her left hand, she wears an argyle sock puppet, to which she looks at and speaks in a subdued voice. "Muffins... this place is ah-MAZING!" Well, her voice had been subdued, at least, right up to the end. With her bare hand, she brushes finger through blue wisps of hair, not tamed by twin buns. She then begins to walk a slow circuit around the room, looking at just everything.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Nori looks up from the floor right in front of a couch and over at Rogue.  "Who?  Me?"  Her eyes roll towards Roxxi, "I swear I thought I bought every single bottle of that color."  The blue, presumably, given she also has blue hair.

In any case, "Hey," Noriko bounces back to greetings vaguely.  Her eyes flick right back to Roxxi and then specifically Muffins.  "..."  And then she looks to Rogue, and then Muffins.  "Hi?"  Nori raises a hand, blurrily wiggling her gauntleted fingers at Roxxi, perhaps trying to intercept her before any of the video game kids take notice of Muffins.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue sweeps her gaze over to where Roxxi is coming in to the room. She spies the girl and her puppet, but had heard about her before seeing her for the first time here and now. She summons up a smile for the new blue haired girl. "People really be likin' their sky hued doos these days." She notes in her southern accented drawl. Her eyes shoot back to Nori. "I think you're a trend setter, sugah." She says to the gauntlet-wearer.

Back to Rox though, Rogue smiles again. "I dig the sock buddy. What's his name?" She asks. "I'm Marie. Though most around here call me Rogue."

The boys on the video games haven't noticed the new girl yet as they're too lost in shooting at stuff.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
The vague observation of available hair dye by Nori gets an instantaneous smile from Roxxi. Green eyes shift over the similarly colored hair of the other teen. "Ooooh, no I lucked out! Yours looks so pretty... Hi!" She concludes. If she notices any of Nori's uncertainty, it doesn't show.
At the sound of the rollicking southern drawl, Roxxi's attention shifts from Nori, to Rogue. "I met someone blue, and he just looked so pretty.. Hi Marie, I'm Roxi." As tTogue asked after the puppet, the teen glanced absently at her hand. "Oh, that's just Muffins."

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"There are only so many colors," Noriko shrugs and tries not to look bothered by the shared taste. She squints softly at Roxxi as if openly trying to figure her out.  "If you're on something I know the RA's schedule and can sell it to you."  In Nori's mind, this is clearly an item of value to anyone who seems like they might be on drugs on campus.

"I'm Noriko," the girl says out of a remnant of some left over manners, a compulsion now really.  "Does...Muffins ever get hungry?"  Yep, Nori already went there, though the question is asked with odd sincerity, a genuine curiosity.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smiles at the answer about the puppet and nods her head gently once. "Nice t'meet ya, Muffins." She says before popping another blueberry in her mouth. Her eyes go between the two girls then and she grins. "I'd dye my whites blue too, t'fit in with ya'll, but every time t'try and dye'em the dye just washes out in a day or so." She exhales dramatically before wadding up the paper towel she had the blueberries on and turning to toss it in to the waste bin under the sink.

Of course some of the gamers have noticed Roxxi now and are glancing over at her and her puppet, and of course they're not too sure what to make of that... but this is Mutant High, weird stuff is pretty normal...

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi remained all smiles. She grinned as Norriko spoke, clearly bemused. "On something? Like drugs?" She didn't keep her voice down, but she wasn't shouting it either. "I'm not on drugs." She laughed shaking her head. As the other teen asked after Muffins, Roxxi only continued to laugh and grin. "Oh no, socks don't eat!" She admonished with a 'you're silly' tone.
Returning her attention to Rogue, shaking her head quickly. "Oh no, your hair is so pretty just like that!" She reassures the other woman quickly. She hasn't seemed to notice the boys playing video games. She has, however, noticed the soda fountain. "Are we allowed to have some?"

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"Just highlight them something new every day when you get bored,"  Noriko tosses a highlighter at Rogue without warning.  Nori gets bored a lot.  Look, it's electric blue!

Noriko's eyes snap back to Roxxi.  "How boring.  You aren't on drugs, and named socks don't eat?  I guess it saves on the cleanup."  She looks over to the soda fountain and then nods.  That's when she spots the boys spotting Roxxi and gives them a dirty look, for good measure.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is smiling back over at Roxxi and her compliment about her hair. "Well thank ya, Miss." She says to her in response for it. The question about the soda fountain has Rogue looking back over at it. "Yeah, have at it. We try'n let the new kids have as much as they want, but once we get used t'ya being around here, we might put the kaibash on ya drinkin' tons'a the stuff." She says with a grin before the highlighter is triggering Rogue's danger sense.

She reaches a hand up no-look and catches it with a quiet slap as it lands i nher palm. She then sweeps it around and looks at it.

Big smirk.

"Thanks, Nori." She says to the teen with a glance her way. "Where's Jubilee? How is she doin'?" She asks then.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Eyes pinch together with a mildly hurt expression at being called boring. Roxxi holds up her hand gloved with Muffins, and turns out her wrist. She then pulls back the cuff of the sock so his 'insides' or rather lack there off, can be seen. "No stomach." Quickly, perhaps to keep the other teen from thinking her too boring, she adds, "But he talks!"
Once at the Soda fountain, she takes a moment to find the cups. Once she has one though, she goes down the line, adding a little of each flavor. She looks over her shoulder as Rogue catches the highlighter. "'I won't hog it all, I promise. Sharing is caring!"

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"You're new?"  Shouldn't Nori know?  She purses her lips at her own lack of awareness.  "Well, welcome.  You don't have to have a stomach to enjoy food you know.  Tastebuds...buuut, it sounds like he doesn't have them."  The speedster concludes.

As Roxxi gets preoccupied with the soda fountain, Noriko says to Rogue, "She's asleep."  Unnaturally.  As for how she's doing, Noriko pipes up, "Good.  Oh...you would have laughed at this.  Logan things that she might have glamoured some students into doing her hair and nails.  That was pretty great."

Michael Erickson has posed:
Speaking of new people, a man in a well-tailored if gray suit enters, one hand in the pocket of his slacks - looking as though he might be there for a business meeting, or some other reason that would make him absolutely out of place. Of course, this would be Michael, who may or may not be known as the lone Shi'ar who came out of nowhere - or, at least, from a direction other than that of the /other/ Shi'ar who arrived to attack the house not too long ago. Or maybe he's just another blandly handsome white dude showing up in the mansion's halls. Who knows.

When he enters the rec room he pauses to about the place, taking it in. The faces here. Some of whom he knows, or at least has just met. But he says nothing, instead standing just to one side of the doorway, peering at one of the televisions on the other side of the expansive space. Xavier's kids sure got lots of room to blow off steam. From his expression, he seems quietly impressed.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smiles at the sight of Roxxi doing a full flavor blast with the soda machine, something she's done once or twice herself... But her eyes go over to Nori and the Jubilee explanation which gets mixed results out of the Belle. She feels bad for Jues, but doesn't have any idea what to do to help her. "Logan... knows about what is all goin' on then?" She asks. "He's been around for forever... did he have any suggestions? Useful ideas?" She asks as she reaches for her bottle of tea on the counter by her phone.

Michael just appearing has Rogue looking over at him. She killed a bunch of Shi'ar reacently... so its still kinda strange having one just hanging out here.

"You livin' here now, Mistah?" She asks him as she raises her bottle up to her lips for a sip.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi fills her cup with a variety of different flavors. She turns back around, grinning at the others. Since she has no idea who Jubilee is, or what's ailing her, Roxxi can only try and smile sympathetically.

oxxi notices Michael enter, about the same time as Roxxi. By now, she's stripped Muffins, and tucked him into a belt loop. "Hi, uh..Hi!" She tries to recall the man's name, but coming up short, concludes with a second hello.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"Well he made her promise to go tell Jean and he was really upset about the nails and the hair...He took her RA keys.  He didn't know.  I think I'm going to find some experts.  But like, I don't know, is it really that bad?  She's dead now.  It's not like it was easy to get that way and...what would be involved with changing to anything else?"  Noriko chews on her lower lip in thought.

"Hey does Muffins know anything about vampires?"  Noriko must think he's the brains of the operation.  Her eyes flicker over to Michael and then suddenly she appears seated on the couch with a soda in hand herself.  She uses her leg to visibly, slowly, scoooot the tower of books over to make more room around her immediate area.

Michael gets a glance, then another one.

Michael Erickson has posed:
"Me?" Rogue's question just gets her an innocent smile, fluttering lashes - and then Michael chuckles, pushing off from the wall. "No. I've been asked to teach, at least as a guest and for a short time. Sort of a test case, galactic politics, combat training, that sort of thing. Let the students have a good grasp of what's going on, albeit primarily in another galaxy. Prepare them for dealing with my people." A nod to Noriko and Roxxi. "Hello there. And hello again, in your case, miss Roxxi." See, he got /her/ name.

Back to Rogue. "Anyway I thought it might be best if I showed up and got people used to me in something other than battle armor, soaked with the blood of my own people." Because that's how he was seen the other week. He killed a fair number of Shi'ar himself.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue stands there in the little kitchen area near to the fridge and center island. She holds her drink in her black gloved right hand, her other on her hip. She watches Nori for a moment before glancing to Roxxi again. The boys near the gaming console and television are cheering about some wicked kills, or whatever they say to describe their gaming silliness!

At Michael, Rogue smiles. "That might actually be a great class for you... but you better be ready t'get mobbed. I imagine a lotta these crazy kids are gonna wanna know what all is up there and what all is going on out there..." In space of course, oh how she hates space.

Another sip of her drink is had then and Rogue leans against the counter again. She looks to Nori and shows a soft frown. "I don't buy all that vampire crap. I have seen dead people, and she's not dead. That's all just movie crap..." She's being stubborn about it, clearly. She doesn't want her friend to be 'dead' or 'undead' for that matter!

"Do me a favor though and don't go searchin' for other vampires without someone like me, or Logan with ya, okay?" She says, glancing to Roxxi again. "This probably isn't the weirdest conversation you'll hear outta this place..." She tells the new girl with a slight smile.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi still hadn't noticed the boys playing video games, so it was just as well they hadn't noticed her, with Muffins. At Nori's question, she looks down at her hip, where Muffins hung limply from a belt loop. "Only what we've seen in movies.." Gaze tracked between Nori and Rogue, as the currently blue-haired Roxxi tried to fill in the blanks of the conversation. "There someone named Jubilee, and..she's a vampire?" She guessed. "Oh it's not too weird." She reassured Rogue with a broad smile.
Still by the soda fountains, Roxxi pulled down a second cup, and looked over her shoulder at Michael. "You want a soda? Coke?" No idea what his name is, but hey, remembered the drink.

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
There's the sound of rhythmic ringing coming from the hall, and then through the door as Laxmi enters, dressed in her usual sari-silk garb, with a pair of anklets adorned with many small bells on her legs, jingling away. "Hey, Christie?" the young teacher calls in a bright voice. "Mr. Drake was looking for you - something about an extra credit assignment?"
The girl, who had transluscent skin through which veins could be clearly glimpsed, looks up in surprise and nods - darting for the door as Laxmi steps out of the way. Glancing around at those present, she nods a greeting to Noriko, Roxxi, Rogue and Michael. "It looks like you've been settling in well," she says warmly as she starts to approach the teen at the soda machine. "I hope everyone's been kind, and welcoming?"

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko is seated at a couch surrounded two stacks of library books on the floor next to her legs.  She is drinking a soda.  Or rather drank one in two seconds flat and is now chewing on the ice.

"Movies count!  Everything counts," the speedster asides quickly to Roxxi and limp Muffins.  "Jubilation.  She's my roommate, and my girlfriend.  And yeah.  I think she's a vampire or something that needs to eat blood at the very least...is nocturnal."  Though Noriko looks over to Rogue and takes a deep breath.  "She was dead," she says gravely.  "I promise I will invite you and Logan to go vampire hunting," she says only a moment later with a smirk.

"I was thinking I would look for some nerd who might be able to help first.  They're always helping out in the movies and stuff, so there's got to be at least one that exists who I can consult...But she is waking up, and I should get going.  We'll talk later."  And with a wiggle of her gauntlets to Muffins (right in his face, yes Nori does appear to squat down to his height), she is gone, the door closing in her wake.

Michael Erickson has posed:
He's going to speak to Rogue's words - really, he planned on it - but then someone speaks up and admits that she's dating a vampire and he just...shuts up and watches them. Until Noriko takes her leave.

Then he looks back to Rogue. "You should attend the combat classes. You're a tough ol' girl for sure, but it's always good to know what weapons and techniques a potential enemy brings. The Majestrix will keep you from trouble from the Empire at large, but the former Majestor has friends, and I have no doubt you'll hear from them soon enough."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue watches Noriko make her move to go. She exhales and shakes her head. "I hope she's tellin' the truth. Last thing we need is 'vampire' becoming a pluralized word around here..." Her bottle is recapped and sat back down on the counter. She smiles to Roxxi and then looks to Laxmi when she strides in, looking like she's challenging Ororo on the classiest teacher at Xavier's.

"She seems t'be settlin' in good. Found the soda machine." She says with a grin.

Michael's words draws her attention to him. She affords him a sweet smile. "Sugah... I already got some'a the best combat trainin' in the world up here..." She states in a flirty voice, raising her gloved hand up to tap the side of her head twice with her pointer fingertip. "I don't care who maybe comin' around me, but if they're comin' with the intent t'pick a fight, they're gonna regret it, somethin' fierce." She grins at this and pauses her ego for a moment.

"That bein' said, I'll admit, I'm curious what might come next from your people, if anythin' at all..."

Aliens. Vampires. What else could happen?

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi giggled as Nori left. Definitely silly, that one. As Laxmi took Nori's place in front of Roxxi, she smiled brightly. "Oh yeah, everyone is super dooper nice!" She gushes, as she fills a second cup, this time with just coke. She then added, as if it was some monumental occurrence. "I have my own room! I've never had my own room before."
Not really sure if Michael had answered or not, she walks his soda over and holds it out. "It's coke." She informed him with a bright smile. The blue-haired teen then turned back to Rogue, head tilted to the side. "You mean, there really //is// a vampire here?!"

Michael Erickson has posed:
"That's great," Michael replies, nodding Rogue's way. The smile isn't mirrored, but he's not going take any bait. "Some of the best combat training in the world - but it's only /this/ world, isn't it? Which would be my point." The man in the gray suit shrugs. "But I guess that's up to you. I made the offer." A flicker of a smile, then, and then he shrugs to Laxmi.

"Better than I hoped," he tells the woman in the bells and silks. "I feel like maybe people are a little overconfident, but they don't know what I know, and they don't know the scale of things. That's been a constant throughout though. And it's not like people don't have a right to feel their victory. It was impressive elsewhere, and all the more so here."

Roxxi offers him a coke, then, and he takes it with a smile. "Thank you."

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
"I'm afraid I missed out on the victory," Laxmi remarks. "Well - it's for the best, really. I'm not a combatant myself. I did hear a little about it - but I was hired after all that."
Her attention shifts from Michael, back to Roxxi as she adds with warmth, "I'm so glad to hear you're doing well, and I hope you'll enjoy the classes as well. When you do get around to choosing your course work - if you want any classes on music or dance, I'd be happy to take you on as a student," she invites, moving to takes a seat at the soda-bar, and finally putting the ringing of her anklets to rest. A faint frown pulls at her lips at the talk of the 'vampire' on campus as she adds, "I've been hearing some rumors about that, as well. But... I suppose we oughtn't gossip about other students." No matter how disturbing the news?

Rogue has posed:
Rogue keeps her green eyed gaze upon the Shi'ar in his fine suit. She smirks quickly at him. "I'll come check it all out, once its goin' on. Don't worry, ya already peaked my interest, I was just playin' hard t'get." She grins quickly before her stare goes over to Roxxi and Lax. "There is... apparently. Jubilation Lee. She's been a great friend'a mine since I got here when I was 18. She's a bit younger than me, probably your age, Rox." She nods to the new girl. "But... somethin' happened t'her right about the time his people barged in here--" She motions to Michael.

"-- There's been so much goin' on we haven't had the time t'really look in to it. But... I mean, she's here, she's not bitin' anyone's neck... that we know of. Even Nori, who is quite close t'her seems to be just fine still too. So yeah, Jubilee's got a big pink heart and ya shouldn't fear her, vampire or not..."

She hopes anyway. Rogue's phone buzzes on the counter and she picks it up to read it. "Mm... my ride's here." She announces then as she turns toward the double doors that lead out to the hall. "Ya'll enjoy the rest of your night. Try not t'fill it up with soda." She smiles to Roxxi again before waving on her way out.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxy grinned as she handed Michael his soda, then padded back to the bar to sit next to Laxmi. All things considered, she didn't look too troubled to hear about her undead classmate. "Oh, well that's neat." She remarked with a smile. Then as Rogue made her preparations to leave, the teen smiled brighter and waved. "Bye!"

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
//Neat//? Laxmi doesn't comment - but just for a moment, her disbelief shows on her features at the thought of an undead classmate being 'neat.' "Enjoy your evening out!" Laxmi calls after Rogue brightly. It's a much safer topic, after all, than any remarks on undead students.

Michael Erickson has posed:
Rogue gets a pleasant smirk from Erickson as she makes her way past him; he turns back to the remaining women and gives them both a nod. "I should probably go myself," Michael says. "Walk around a bit more and get back to the city. It's good to see you both, though."

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxy, once again completely oblivious to subtleties, doesn't take note of Laxmi's expression. Instead, she peers at Michael as the nameless stranger makes to follow out Rogue. "You sure do a lot of walking, Mister. Say, wait! Before you go!" She almost spilled her soda as a sudden thought struck her. "Can I take your class too?" A pause, remembering that Lami had ade an offer herself, Rpxxi slaps her forhead. "Oh, and yours too."

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
"You're welcome to take any of my classes, of course," Laxmi answers with a smile. "But first you have to tell me what you're interested in learning - so I know where to enroll you. Strings, wood winds, percussion, dance...?" she asks - amusement playing across her features, as she turns her attention back to Michael.
"Have a pleasant evening!" she calls after him. "I hope you don't have any trouble getting back to the city."

Michael Erickson has posed:
"Sure," Michael tells Roxxi with a nod. "I assume everyone's going to be asked to at least take some of them. Glad you got here, too - take care of yourself." A nod to Laxmi. "Miss Mallick." And then off he goes.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxy watches as Michael leaves. She then returns her attention to Laxmi. Presumably, most of the boys have continued with their gaming, not worried about the blue-haired girl with the sock puppet. "Oh, dance probably. I took ballet while I was in training for gymnastics competitions. " She squirmed about in her chair, pulling one arm behind her to stretch as she fidgeted. Despite her soda, Roxxi was starting to look a bit glassy-eyed.

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
"Admittedly, I'm not very good at ballet - but I believe there's a ballet studio not far from here if you want to continue that form of dance, specifically. I'm best at Kathak dance - which is a traditional art form from India. But I've also studied modern and contemporary dance," Laxmi explains. "If any of those interest you at all."

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxy nods as she takes a long sip of her soda. "Oh yeah. Those all sound great!" She says cheerfully, perhaps not realizing she should pick one. Or not, if Laxmi taught some sort of fusion. "I'm all refistered and everything. I should be getting my class list Monday, I think."

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
"Well - we'll get you into a dance class," Laxmi promises with a laugh - then she adds a little enticingly, "When you do Kathak dance, though, you get to dress like this." She gestures gracefully towards her current attire, flashing Roxxi a broad smile. "But I suppose this sort of dress is not for everyone."
More's the pity, in her mind.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi's eyes grow as round as saucers. "Oh, I would lo--" A yawn cuts through the middle of a word, but she picks right back up. "-ve to dress like that." She finishes her soda, then looks at Loxmi. "I should likely head back to my room. Did I tell you we have our own room?!"

Laxmi Mallick has posed:
"You did - and I'm delighted to hear that," Laxmi answers with warmth, and a dash of amusement. "Please do take care of yourself - and I'll see you in classes, yes?" she answers. "And don't forget to make plenty of friends as well!" she adds encouragingly. After all, with the difficult life Roxxi has lived - the girl will need the added support.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
"I'm so excited for Monday!" Said by the only teen ever. Roxxi then beamed and diverted to the kitchen area long enough to deal with her cup. She then waves at Laxmi, as she darts from the rec room.
