Mary Bromfield has posed:
Well, last night was pretty productive for Mary. She got her article published about those 1% Drug Dealers, she met Spider-Man, and more importantly she met Peter Parker. Though she stayed up late enough that she's dragging a bit today...

Fortunately, she works as a barista!

So, getting through the day's classes and her shift at work, she comes in through the door, shouting, "Hey guys, I'm home!" Because there's something she wants to do on a Thursday night. And that something, is Critical Role!

Not like there's a pack of brothers that are going to mess with this plan or anything...

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson looks over from the tv. "Eugene, Pedro, and Freddy are out playing Minecraft. The folks are out at Urgent Care with Darla. They said she got conjunction-itus. Welcome home sis," Billy sums up somewhat listlessly. He doesn't even show interest at the mention of Minecraft. "You ever see 'The Awesomes'? It's great. This guy wants to be a superhero and no one take hims seriously... despite being a legacy. It's pretty funny." Bitter? Nah.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary blinks, and looks at Billy, "Hey, what's wrong?" She walks over and sits down by Billy, setting her backpack down on the floor. She's not too worried about Darla, just because... well, if Billy is being sulky than she's not too bad.

"Wait, you're not the fourth Minecrafter? You always play that with those three, and I know you don't like //my// games." She looks over at Billy, "Seriously, what is it?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson looks at his sister and says, "I was at the zoo and these ninjas, had a battle. Mary, it was horrible. Swords and cutting. They were all... This lightning... I'm sorry I gave it to you guys. It's a curse. Especially Darla. I just didn't want to fight the Seven Deadly Enemies alone. I was selfish. But... I'm never sharing the lightning with you guys again. Be normal."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary blinks, "Wait, what? Back up, Billy... what was going on that you were fighting ninjas?" She looks confused at Billy, then sighs, "Okay, take it back a bit. What happened?" She flips into Den Mother mode, looking at Billy with an expectant look.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson smirks. "It wasn't a fight. You know the tiger I talk to? Tawny? I was there last night talking to him about all this and the next thing I know these guys run into me and pull swords, and stars, and guns and are shooting at me. That doesn't work but one of them threw a grenade into Tawny's pen and I flew down there but couldn't find it, so I grabbed him and flew a mile high, When I came back they were lying there..." He shrugs. "Then I got sick and didn't investigate further. Some hero."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary shakes her head, "Wow, Billy, I'm sorry..." She places a hand on Billy's shoulder, "Sounds like it was pretty intense. Did you talk to Freddy about it?" Because, well, sure she's the Den Mother, but she knows Freddy is his BFF. There's no judgment in her voice, since... well, yeah, Billy's younger than she is, and she doesn't know how //she'd// react, either.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson gets up. He stands away from the tv and wall unit. "I'm going out to fly a little. Itried telling them about it... but... what's the use?" He softly says the word. Lightning booms and Shazam looks down at Mary. "Thanks for listening. I'm sorry I'm a jerk sometimes. Maybe Frank and Rose haven't domesticated me yet." The man in red walks to the window.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary pauses, "Hey, wait up!" She gets up and walks after Shazam, "I think the last thing you need to do is be alone, Bi... Shazam." She catches herself, then stands there defiantly, "And I wanted to show you something. It's... kinda important."

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam winces at the lightning. He runs his hands over his body. Nope, not Billy. He looks over at Mary and adjusts for her increased height. "How did... but... the staff... yeah we got to talk! How did you do that?" He walks around her, boggling slightly. "You andme were the only ones to take red for our colors. I wonder why that was?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary grins, "I don't know, but isn't it great? I mean, I thought it'd be good, since now we could fight villainy at the same time, right? Or at different times, since what if we were separated?" She twirls a bit, then laughs, "I don't know, but hey, I wanted you to know that you're not in this alone. I mean, you never were, but I can help you." She pauses, and then looks at Shazam, her voice growing more serious, "What happened wasn't your fault. It really wasn't." And she's speaking with the Wisdom of Solomon there.

Cheater. But she means well for him.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam shakes his head. "I don't know how you got around using the staff. But you always do what you set your mind on. Achilles channels the courage of Mary. I... why did you get that dopey skirt? No I mean you look marvelous but, you have to fly... " He rubs his forehead. "Do you want to fly around? You should practice that. Take your phone with you. GPS is great for directions."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary chuckles, "I have the Modesty of Minerva, little brother. Also, I have shorts on under this. Sheesh!" She grins and nods, "And yeah, we should definitely fly around a bit, some fresh air will help clear your head." With that, she moves over towards the window, "I, um, did a little flying last night. Not much, but those drug dealers didn't expect me. Neither did Spider-Man."

Wait, she met Spidey!!!

Billy Batson has posed:
You don't pull on Superman's cape but Mary doesn't get the same courtesy. "Wait, you met Spidey?" Lady Shazam for a day and she's showing him up? No way. "And stop the little brother stuff. I look older and I've been doing this gig longer. Trust me. It is not as easy as it looks. Wait! You got flying down already? It took me... " He rubs the back of his neck furiously then brightens. "Okay, let's got for a flight, I can introduce you to Fire and Looker... I work with them a lot."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, apparently enjoying the fact that she took Shazam by a bit of surprise, "Yeah, he's very nice. Even gave me a lift back last night since I was back to being Mary then. I didn't want to give up the secret identity, so... yeah." She hops out the window and nimbly flies upward, spinning around, "Wow, Fire and Looker? That'd be cool, I'd love to meet them!" She grins, saving the dignity of being Lady Shazam for just having fun with Shazam. And well... it does seem to have gotten Billy out of his funk, so Mission Accomplished.

Besides, Critical Role is going to be on streaming later. Family is always more important!
