Where In The World Is Mystique
Date of Scene: 20 September 2021
Location: China
Synopsis: Although Mystique was not found, clues were found and one really mangy woman might have more answers. Emergency evac to the asteroid for everyone!
Cast of Characters: Raven Darkholme, Clarice Ferguson, Lydia Dietrich, Rahne Sinclair

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Two days after the welcome home party for Lydia, Mystique informed Clarice that she was leaving the asteroid on a mission. No details were given other than she would check in daily. The first two days had gone as planned, the cobalt mutant checked in at asteroid time seven o'clock with nothing more than, 'I'm still working.'

At four in the morning, exactly nine hours later, the alarm on Clarice's phone sounded, echoed in Mystique's room from her computers, and in the mainframe room.

Mystique's GPS signal was gone.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
A sleepy groggy Clarice gropes for her phone, and blinking her eyes to try to clear them, looks at the screen. With Mystique away, she was running far more of the day-to-day operations of the Brotherhood, so it wasn't too surprising that some sort of alarm would waken her in the night.
GPS offline, she reads, as she tries to shake the cobwebs out of her mind. What does that mean? Mystique. GPS offline. Huh?
She rubs at her eyes, reads the message one more time - and it finally clicks. "Shit. SHIT." She starts kicking free of her blankets as she scrambles for her dresser in the dark, pulling on clothes at random. This has to be some sort of mistake, right? How could her GPS go down?

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
When Mystique is gone, Lydia spends her time at her apartment, studying the spellbooks that Hatshepsut gave her. She does go back to the Asteroid every once in a while. After all, nothing beats the waffle bar and the view. It's during this time when she's decided to steal one of Mystique's pillows to bring back to her apartment when the alarm goes off.

Setting the pillow down, she goes and opens up Mystique's computer. She's usually not one to pry, but when an alarm like this goes off, it's better to be informed and to contact Clarice in case she doesn't have her phone with her. Seeing that Mystique's GPS has disappeared a twinge of panic beats in her chest. Now she knows how Mystique felt when she went off grid.

Quickly getting out of her room, she rockets towards Clarice's. "Did you see the alert?" She asks, knocking on the door. "I'm coming with you." She knows that Clarice is going to go after her and she wants in.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
An announcement goes through Clarice's phone: Report to the mainframe room immediately!

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Theo and Pete are crashed out in Theo's room, they heard the alarm clear in their room... you don't miss that sound, but neither of them bother to wake up... teenagers.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
There's a moment when Clarice is kicking off the blankets when they seem kinda heavy. Almost as if something was in them, near the edge of the bed. It's a bit of a thump as the blankets fall, and a moment later the blankets start to look back up at Clarice over the edge.

Two eyes peek out of the blankets, as a rather confusedly awakened Rahne peeks up to see why exactly she's been evicted from the warm spot.

"Should ah be upset?" she asks, honestly wanting to know. She's in a partial hybrid form, and looking like she's about to audition for a children's tv series on space puppies.

Then she takes aminute to try and drag herself out of the blankets. Whatever's going on can wait til she's had the chance to free her legs. Probably.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Get dressed," Clarice answers Rahne simply. "Mystique is missing - her GPS is offline. It's never done that before - something's wrong." She's struggling into a pair of pants when she hears Lydia at the door. That was unexpected - she'd've expected her to be down in New York. "Door, open," she issues the simple voice command - allowing Lydia access to her and Theo's shared quarters.
She snags an armored vest, pulling it on as she emerges into the living room. "Lydia - can you jot down a quick note for Theo and Pete, that we're all out on business and we'll be in touch later?" she says simply, gesturing towards Theo's desk. There should be //something// to write with there, after all.
No need to worry the boys too much. Yet.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia nods to Clarice. "Of course." She hurries over to the desk and rummages around in it until she finds a sticky note and a pen. She quickly jots down a note that they're away on business, don't wreck the Asteroid, and turns back to Clarice.

She blinks when she sees her friend don the vest, which reminds her that she should probably put her own on. "Right," she says, stuffing down the growing panic. "I'll be right back. I've got to grab my vest."

She quickly hurries back to her and Mystique's room and finds her vest to don. Thankfully she's had enough lessons to know how to properly put it on, but she foregoes the pistols that Mystique had wanted her to train with.

Hurrying back to Clarice's room she says, "I'm ready."

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne shifts to human and just 'is' dressed. She has on clothing, where it came from exactly isn't clear, but she's never really needed to explain how her powers work because nobody's really asked. No armoured vest, but she doesn't really seem all that interested in one either.

Perking up slightly she watches as folks scurry about, then says, "Can ah help? Ah can probably help, unless Cr...Sabertooth be doin' the thing." She pauses, wondering if calling him Creepertooth would be insulting. Good save there.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Why do you think I needed you dressed? We might need a tracker. I'll send someone to grab you a vest," Clarice offers - opening a portal directly to the computer mainframe room rather than bothering with pelting through the halls of the Asteroid. Teleporters can be //so// lazy. She nods to her friends, gesturing them through before following as well.
"What the hell is going on?" she asks simply as she steps through. "There's Mister Creed right now?" she would feel better having him as back-up. But - for all she knows, he could be off on his own assignment right now.
And they do have Rahne to play tracker - she'd just rather have a little more heavy muscle with them. If someone or something took Mystique down, then...

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia hustles after Clarice as she opens the portal. She's never been in the mainframe room... never needed to. She looks with wide eyes at all the computer monitors keeping track of everything under the sun and then some, but mostly stays back out of the way. She wrings her hands in worry as she waits.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
"Ah cannee wear armour," Rahne says as she pops through portals with Lydia and Clary. "Tried when ah was startin' out. Es one o' th' reasons they dinnae put me on combat missions." She knows it's for her own safety. Really that's just part of being her though.

She's keeping up easily enough, but she really doesn't look like much. "Ah know, ah know. No armour. Le's go." She gives Lydia a big smile, already over her earlier 48 hour nap.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Sitting in the mainframe room is a very slender man wearing pajama's, fuzzy slippers and literally plugged into the computer. There are monitors everywhere, numerous keyboards in various places, and of course a massive mainframe behind a secure glass wall.

When Clarice appears the man's head turns toward her, when the other step through as well every screen in the room goes black. "What the..." he starts, standing up, still connected to the computers by a long cord straight into the back of his neck. "Right... okay... I need permission for them to be here before I can say anything."

He waits exactly three seconds, then whether Clarice nods or not, just starts talking. "Mystique went dark exactly eight minutes ago, last known location Zhaigezhuangcun, Guangyang District, Langfang, Hebei China." One of the computer screens lights up with a satellite image that zooms in to a busy street, cars moving along it, people on the sidewalks.

"Current time in Zhaigezhuangcun, Guangyang District, Langfang, Hebei China is eight o'eight in the morning." Another screen lights up from another angle, same street but showing a narrow ally with numerous small stalls almost completely blocking the way, then another monitor lights up to show the same street on the other side, the same alley but not quite as horribly narrow. "Last known location, motel off Yongzing Road."

As the report is given his eyes go completely white, at the end they return to normal. "Questions?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Permission from whom?" Clarice counters in a dry voice. "Mystique is away. I'm in charge. I think my bringing them counts as permission, don't you?" She's relieved when the guy starts talking. She didn't want to call and wake Magneto at this hour. I mean - who knows what //he// would do to help find Mystique?
And did they really need to call in //that// sort of firepower?
She watches the footage - a frown on her features. It's going to be busy and crowded - a lot of smells to try to sort out. "Anyone we can drag along as a translator?" she asks. If there are any witnesses as to what happened - she won't be able to understand a word they say. "And do we have any footage following her in the moments leading up to her signal going dark? Do we even know what face she was wearing?"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Do any of us speak Mandarin?" Lydia asks, echoing Clarice's concern. "Maybe we should take somebody who can speak with the locals." She takes a step back, though, when she realizes that Clarice has it all covered. She's just going to let Clarice do her job, since she knows what she's doing.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Given that Rahne knows similar secrets of the Xavier's crew and hasn't been blabbling, she just takes this in the same vein. Weird shit's happening, I don't understand most of it, and I should probably keep my mouth shut. Got it. Honestly this spy thing isn't so complicated when you boil it down.

"Ah speak Gellic," she says, probably meaning Gaelic, but she's got these issues with words being said and that whole Google Translate accent. Then, "Cannae even talk English when ah be trackin' though. Dog form." Which is ...worse than normal? Sometimes it's difficult to really tell.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
H's eyes go white again and as they do, a woman that looks exactly like him, except she has breasts, walks into the room through a door at the back.

"I'm D," she says, already wearing a complete set of tactical gear with a coat over it. "I speak every language known to man."

H reaches over and grabs her hand, "No, not you. Mystique was very specific, you don't go on missions."

D glare at him, "I'm just going to translate. There isn't anyone else."

H's frowns deepens, then he reaches up to check something on the back of D's neck, then he sighs, "Fine, but you know your protocols."

D nods and looks to Clarice, as she does H's eyes go white again. "We do not know the face Mystique was wearing, or the mission she was on. The footage of that area from up to an hour before the signal was lost offers no indications of anything out of ordinary. H is presently going back, hour by hour, looking for indications, signs or clues. This process takes time."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Great," Clarice mutters. "So we need to find out if anyone saw anything unusual - and if anything smells at all like Mystique." Even though she ceases to smell like Mystique when she changes. "This'll be fun." She pulls on a coat she'd grabbed, to cover her tactical vest, while she studies D uncertainly. "We got jackets lying around for you and Lydia, so we don't look like we're looking for trouble?" For whatever good that'll do them. "Try to recall Mister Creed and have Ritz teleport him to our location. And I need to take an ima-" She glances towards Lyida, then sighs. "Fuck it. No point, is there?"
Once D is suitably armored, she'll open the portal to bring them through, though she keeps D always in her line of sight, ready to teleport the woman back to the Asteroid on a moment's notice. If Mystique had ordered her to never go into the field, she was too valuable an asset to risk - and teleporting her back to safety has to stay a priority.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia blanches when Clarice looks at her and just kind of gives up on being stealth. "I have an idea," she says. "I'll be right back." She hustles out of the mainframe room and is gone for about five minutes, when she gets back she has a pillow case in hand and a jacket over her vest. "Okay. Hopefully this works."

She concentrates for a moment, and all of her ectoplasm condenses into a foot in diameter ball, which she slips the pillow case over. It keeps the glow from being too bright, but now it looks like she's got one of those glow-in-the-dark balloons floating next to her. She lets out a disappointed sigh. "Well, it was worth a try."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
D steps out with Clarice, and slides a pair of sunglasses on as she does. It becomes obvious instantly that D does not get out much, her skin is white, not Caucasian... WHITE. Morning in China, not a horrible thing really, the sun however, that seems to bother her so the hood on the jacket goes up. Behind the glasses her eyes go solid wide

Numerous people on the streets note the purple portal and immediately chose another direction to go, chattering quietly. In fact the people stepping out, the obvious mutant that Lydia is, even for early in the morning when people are all trying to get to work... they seem to be looking for another way to go rather quickly. The people in the cars seems to speed up a little to get out of the area.

D tilts her head slightly. "This might be a problem," she whispers to the three women. "They are genuinely terrified. I am tapping into local cameras as we speak, and there is already a call going out of mutants in this area. We will need to move quickly, Blink local authorities will be dispatched."

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne says nothing. Why? Because she's not Rahne anymore. She's already shifted into full wolf-form, looking for all the world like a red dog that's about four times the size of what you'd expect it to be. Through the portal like a shot, this is why she can't wear armoured vests or tactical suits.

Then she's sniffing the air, the world around her to take in and adapt to. She's fast, moving around the area before even anyone is fully set up. And before they can tell her to get moving, she's moving.

A glance behind to tell them to keep up is all they get.

She's near an alley, the scent of Mystique leading her this direction, getting stronger as she goes. Standard tracking at this point, though she's not really thinking so much as acting. She scatters people, crowded alley or no, as she is going after the scent!

It also seems to be generally in the direction of the hotel on record, if folks are using their GPS's to look at the map.

I am tapping into local cameras as we speak, and there is already a call going out of mutants in this area. We will need to move quickly, Blink local authorities will be dispatched."

The people in the ally do scatter, trying to get in behind their own stalls, deliberately looking away to they don't 'see' the people passing by, or the dog, or anything that is happening... plausible deniability engaged.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
The alley itself is narrow and absolutely loaded. Businesses, carts and tents and people camping and people living, they crowd it up and down. It's going to be difficult to move, let alone keep a tactical formation.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"If you need to step away from us to get a word in with any of the locals - I'll keep my eye on you so I can teleport you clear," Clarice offers 'D' in a quiet voice, even as they follow on Rahne's heels. "Stay in front of me, D," she adds simply. Clarice's trained gaze begins scanning the area, looking for anything out of place - any signs of surveillance, or a struggle. Any signs that anyone was armed - or that they seemed out of place. Anyone moving against the flow of traffic, or dressed in a way out of the usual. Any abandoned bags or parcels. Anyone standing still when the others were moving - those were the sorts of things that alerted you to trouble, and that you could learn to spot with the right training.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia steps out of the portal onto the streets, ecto-balloon bobbing along behind her. D's warning of the police heading towards them causes her to hurry after Rahne and Claire. She's scanning the area, too, but she doesn't have the trained kind of eye that Claire does. Mostly she's there in case things go south. Her shields are good against weapons fire, as was proven the last time she was out in the field.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
The alley is such that you simply cannot walk side by side. It's single file or nothing, though the presence of a major predator is freaking some people the f out.

She runs ahead, dashing down the alley. On the trail, it's a damn good thing that the wolf girl is easy to see, because she's really moving.

A moment later she stops at the entrance to some kind of hotel, at the far end of an alley. Details to come, but she offiially flops her canine butt down right there.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
There is one camera at the end of the alley, just above the motel door. The people down the alley refuse to even acknowledge the group is there, and when D tried to talk to one was told go away in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese and Korean, just to be sure she got it... go away.

In the the lobby of the old run down motel there is an old man sitting on the love seat by the counter, sound asleep. Behind the counter is an even older woman, she looks as if she might be well over a hundred years old. She doesn't seem shocked, upset, or even phased by the dog sitting down in the lobby, she just stares at it, then at the people who come in with it.

"No vacancy," she said in English if an accent thick enough you might need a machete to get through it.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"We're looking for a friend - she's not answering her phone, you see," Clarice answers calmly as the group enter the lobby. It's a damned inconvenience to not be able to describe the friend in question - but such was life with Mystique. "We're wondering if you saw anything unusual. We can make it worth your while, if it helps us out." She nods towards D to translate her words, as she tries as casually as possible to take up a position that allows her to watch the woman, the 'sleeping' man, D, and her friends.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia takes her ectobaloon and hides it behind her back, as if that was the only thing that made them stand out. Not the wolf. Not the purple lady. Not the pure white lady either. Yup. That'll help. She fidgets in the back, looking around to see if she can spot some kind of clue.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne doesn't even understand the lady. Her accent is too strong to comprehend, so she kind of looks like a dog for a moment, listening to the others talk. Wonders a moment if this is what it's like when people talk to her, but honestly when she first came to America these people were AWFUL. You ever try to listen to a Detroit accent? Now try it when you're used to Scots.

She sniffs, then lowers her nose and sniffs the ground. Then she meanders about a little, sniffing things until she pokes her nose into a stairway off the main lobby. Which she starts to climb, permission or no. Apparently she's going that direction.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
D translates starts to translate what Clarice said but the old woman waves her off.

"I understanding her," she barks, then throws a cup at the old man who just grunts, opens one eye, raises a brow, then goes back to sleep. "Worthless men." She then snorts.

Some where in the background the sound of a television can be heard, but the old woman isn't paying attention to it, she is looking at the people and wolf in her lobby. "You want 'merican lady," she then says. "Yes? Tall, blonde, grumpy, asking too many questions about Beijing Power Plant?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"When was the 'merican lady' here?" Clarice asks, her gaze going to where Rahne has disappeared into a stairwell. "Spectra," Clarice murmurs, nodding her head in that direction. She didn't much like the idea of any of their people going out of sight without some sort of back-up.
Of course, she doesn't like sending someone so untrained after Rahne as her backup. But sometimes you work with the team you have.
    "What happened to her?"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia nods her head at Clarice, "On it." She makes her way around Clarice, placing a hand on her shoulder, briefly, and follows Rahne up the stairs. She gives the wolf a bit of space to do her thing, but always keeps her within eyesight.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Up the stairs is a short, dirty hall with exactly six door, then another flight of stairs. The scent trail that Rahne is following leads right to the last room at the end of the hall, by the window and the stairs. The door is presently shut and locked.

The old woman looks at Clarice, no... she stares at her. Her expression clearly reads 'how dare you ask me anything' then she holds out her hand, palm up.

"You pay for info-mation," she states bluntly. "Otherwise I know nothing."

The old man stirs slightly, one eyes opens to look at Clarice blurrily. Then he sits up straight real quick, both eyes open and starts muttering in Mandurian. This makes the old woman start muttering back, and then in a moment they are yelling at each other.

It all happens so fast that D is focused on hearing it all before beginning to translate, it's almost as if she is downloading everything they are saying to play back in a moment.

"Go home old woman!" The man finally yells which makes her snort and walk out the back door. He looks over at Clarice again, standing slowly. "You need to go. They come for you, is a trap." Then he shoots through the door like someone lit his old ass on fire.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
The moment that she's out of sight of the strange old lady, Rahne shapeshifts. She's into a hybrid form now, but not the cute one that she uses around the Asteroid. This is much closer to an actual movie werewolf, with a muzzle and a hunched posture, digitigrade legs and a body covering of reddish-brown fur.

"Stairs are hard," she admits, then proceeds to where the scent is leading her. She looks at Lydia, hoping that she doesn't scare the woman. This isn't her pretty cute wolfgirl self. This is for work.

She continues snuffling though, looking for the trail. It's not as easy in this form, but again...stairs.

Then she's looking at the door. And she begins to growl, not really needing to say out loud that this is the path.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice grits her teeth. One the one hand - these guys know something - and she wants to go after them. On the other hand - Rahne and Lydia might be in danger. She splits the difference, tossing a javelin first after the old man, then after the woman, trying to teleport them up to the asteroid into holding cells. There is no fucking time for niceities here.
Then she's on the comms, whether or not her javelins hit their marks. "They're saying it's a trap. Where are you? Hold position, we're coming for you." She gestures D to proceed up the stairs ahead of her, as the pair pelt up the stairs in pursuit of their companions.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia starts for a moment when Rahne shifts into this hybrid form. She's not afraid. This is /Rahne/ after all regardless of what form she wears, but this is a new one to her. She nods when Rahne informs her that stairs are kind of hard for a wolf. "That makes sense," she says.

She follows the hybrid up to the door. "We found the room where the scent trail leads," she says over the comms. "Waiting for you to show up before we try anything."

Once warned about the trap, she cautiously walks up to the door and leans her ear against it to see if she can hear anything on the other side.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The old woman had a head start, so Clarice managed to get the door into a holding cell, the old man however... pop, he's on the asteroid cursing in Mandurian. There's no resistance to that sort of thing by the common people of China, especially when you're old and, even if your ass is on fire, you can't move that quickly.

Upstairs the door remain closed, not a sound can be heard either in the hall, or the room, in fact it is very, very quiet.

Just as Clarice and D get up the stairs, at the window a woman appears. She looks like she was drug through mud, hair knotted and tangled up, honestly the sight could be frightening to the average person. She waves like crazy and points down, waves and points down, waves and then she drops down out of sight.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne isn't necessarily waiting. What Lydia does is her decision, but Rahne isn't in the best of mental states when she's like this.

There's a reason that Rahne keeps this form locked away. In this one, the wolf is dominant. And the wolf is a hunter. So the Hunter looks at Lydia, then at the door, and then she abruptly moves Lydia out of the way by reaching out and grabbing the door itself.

She's in the midst of tearing it off of the hinges when the woman in feces shows up. Rahne recoils, the scent almost too much to bear, and snarls untl she drops out of sight.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice barrels up the stairs and into the hallway - just as the woman gestures, and drops out of sight. "What the hell even," she mutters to herself.
There's not a lot of time for decisions here - but whatever was behind that door? Apparently it was too much for Mystique to handle. Were they close enough on her heels that Mystique would still be there? Could they risk it - knowing it was a trap, and they were expecting and equipped for mutants?
    Shit.
She starts towards the window. A lead was still a lead after all. "Let's see what she knows." She tries to slide the window open - but if it doesn't budge, she'll just blink the glass away.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia takes a step back from the door, looking like she's ready to open it when Rahne beats her to the punch. But then there's the sight of the woman in the window. She isn't sure what she's trying to tell them. It might be that there are people downstairs who are coming up to get them, so she pops the ectoballoon and sets up a glowing green shield that covers the entire hallway. Nobody is going to get through that.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
It all happens at once. As the door is ripped off the hinges gas starts blowing into the hall from every vent and the room itself. Clarice moves to open the window, but it doesn't budge forcing her to blink the glass out as if it was never there.. The sound of doors slamming upstairs and downstairs can be heard. As if that wasn't enough, because surely that would take care of any human or mutant, darts shoot out of the walls, hundreds of them, from ceiling to floor. So much over kill.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne currently stands at seven feet tall and masses around two hundred pounds. She does not look like normal Rahne. So when Clarice breezes past her like it was nothing, she actually smiles. Most people couldn't do that. She does try to be less frightening for Lydia, of course. Seriously, these aren't the people who should be afraid.

But with everything that suddenly happens, Rahne's enhanced reflexes spring into use. She instantly moves to cover the closest person to her with her body and the door, hoping that she can try to keep ..try to fix...anything..so many darts, the gas is ..why didn't I scent that?

Just keep one of them safe. And the closest person is...Lydia.

Mating instinct screams for her to help Clarice though. :(

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
At least the open window gives the gas somewhere to go - but Clarice doesn't take the time to even consider that. The first thing she needs to do is get her people out of danger. And the highest priority was D. She wasn't sure if Mystique had ordered her to stay out of the field because she was too untrained, too valuable, or knew too much - maybe it was a combination. Either way, the first javelin she tosses goes for D - charged to blink her safely back to the Asteroid - and directly into the medical bay. The second javelin goes for Lydia - she doesn't have the training that Rahne would have. She summons a portal to try to block and redirect the darts - not realizing they're coming from both sides, as the third javelin goes for Rahne.
And as she gets riddled with the darts and starts to fall, she tries to blink herself back to the Asteroid.
Did she get everyone? Had she lost any of her people? ...no wonder they got Mystique.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
When the gas starts pouring in, Lydia immediately envelopes the four of them into a bubble. "Get D back to the asteroid!" she shouts, but Clarice is already one step ahead of her. Then she tumbles down under a mass of furry wolf hybrid, but still somehow manages to keep the shield up. However when she suddenly appears in the med bay she lets out an uncharacteristic, "FUCK!"

She gets up off the floor and starts pacing, worry now taking over. She's not there to provide her shields for whatever might come, and now feels completely useless. She could be so much help, but she understands why Clarice did what she did. It still stings.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The javelins fly. D doesn't have time to do anything, she is shot up pretty good with those darts and pop, she's in Medbay. The darts fly, sticking into Lydia's ectoplasm and body, and pop, she's in Medbay. Rahne is large, very large, and that means more darts managing to penetrate her body and pop, she's in Medbay.

The minute the window was gone, the filthy woman on the other side springs through and manages to cling to Clarice, even holds her up, to get through that portal with her and make sure she's not left behind to die.

The darts were laced with a strong sedative, strong enough to knock out an elephant in fact, so what ends up occurring is that all four of the Brotherhood land in the medbay and in seconds are out cold. The fifth, unexpected guest, stands there looks at the doctor's with a huge nervous smile.

"I have information about Mystique," she says, holding up her hands. "Please don't kill me."
