Cast of Characters: Kay Fury, Thomas Blake

Kay Fury has posed:
Normally Kay wouldn't make with villainy while getting used to a new place, that kind of being akin to shitting where you sleep, but let's be honest here. She's bored. The hotel that Thor got her a room in can only offer so much in the way of entertainment and she's been to all the places near it more than once, leaving her with very little in the way of fun. So she has snuck out, donned her costume in an alley, and has gone out to make with some destruction of personal property (yeah, that's pretty much rookie-level villainy, but that's what she's in the mood for, at the moment).

Currently, the redhead is in one of the slummier sections of the Big Apple, working out her frustrations and boredom on some abandoned vehicles, yelling at the top of her lungs as she puts fists to metal. A few of the homeless who make this neighborhood their home have peeked over in her direction but have decided to leave well enough alone, the few who have watched deciding prudence dictates that they butt the fuck out.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake was in the area, not for anything so basic as mayhem. He's a pro. A previous client turned up and Thomas was able to recover a substantial fee for a little side job in Africa. Thomas required payment as he had lived through the job and the client wisely swallowed his disappointment and paid, then paid some more. Then he got his face punched in anyway. Perched on a brick wall Catman asks, earnestly, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

Catman ignores people. He does not let anyone tell him when to butt the fuck out. Besides... this woman is magnificent. He could watch her throw cars all day. The 'appreciation' registers through the mask.

Kay Fury has posed:
Knockout turns as she is about to swing a punch through a windshield, her expression of surprise-turned-annoyance as her own mask only covers her eyes and brows. "What the fuck does it look like I'm doing?" Yeah, she was already peeved, boredom something that wears thin on her, but the way this... man has spoken to her has her downright pissed off. Glancing at him in a up-down manner, very obvious due to how exaggerated she does so, her mouth held in something of a smirk. "Who are you?"

Her arms fold under her chest as she waits for the stranger to introduce himself, her head angled to the left as she adds, "You're not one of those heroes I've read about since my arrival here, are you?" She means to Earth, but it could be assumed she is implying she's from another country instead of another planet.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake makes a small choking sound at being mistaken for a hero. He jumps down from the wall. "I am Catman, call me Thomas. Judging by what I just took money for, not a hero. As for what you're doing... you're either looking for a fight... or working through some problem. Of that problem is anger or man hating, I'll let you be. If it's loneliness or lack of fun in your life... I might be able to help. You're the most beautiful Weapon of Mass Destruction I've ever met." He drops down off the wall and approaches slowly. He tries to get a scent of her, seeking more information on her. Any trace of meth or PCP to account for the strength?

Kay Fury has posed:
Thomas won't smell anything like that upon her. Kay's just... strong. Very strong. One of the boons from having come from where she did and the kind of training she took part in while one of the Female Furies. If his sense of smell is strong enough he might pick up on the slight sweat that has built upon her skin, but yeah. Of all the things she's guilty of, being a druggie is one of the few things she isn't.

Knockout steps closer, her brow lifting slightly higher, the right now arched as she takes him in more fully. "They call me Knockout where I am from, but I have been going by Kay here." The compliment on her looks has her slightly taken aback. "I am? I... well. Thank you?" The gratitude is voiced as a question as she's not quite sure how to take it. "You're rather nice looking, yourself."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake extends a hand. No drugs, meta or Mutant. "You're welcome. I'm guessing... boredom is your problem. New to town, no friends. I have a couple new friends (okay one and he still isn't sure she won't kill him.)" He waits to see if she takes the hand of not. Most cultures... oh screw it. "Where are you from Kay?" He pulls his mask off. Only fair. Hers doesn't cover that much.

Kay Fury has posed:
Knockout doesn't take the hand but rather clasps Thomas' forearm in the manner often associated with warriors. "Yes. I'm bored. I made a... friend, I suppose you could say," she answers with a shrug, "who was nice enough to help me with housing temporarily, but I really haven't gone out of my to meet anyone since then." This is where she hesitates. Should she be honest about where she used to call home, or should she continue the half-truths she tells Thor when he asks her about her situation. "I would rather not say where I am from just now, Thomas. Forgive me for that, but I think it's best if I hold off on divulging others in that kind of information just now."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods. "Nothing to apologize for, Kay. Listen, I have a place. Want to come back for coffee or a snack? We can talk. I'm not usually the friendly sort but... I had a couple very good days and I think we might hit it off. You like omelettes?" Warrior... not a mark on that skin and she shows a lot of it. She must be hard to hurt or hard to hit. "Maybe we can put together something for you to do?"

Kay Fury has posed:
Knockout frowns. Should she go with him? She isn't sure but eventually shrugs to herself. "Sure. What harm could going with you cause, after all." Thomas isn't a threat, or so she's assuming, and she's not really in any hurry to go back to her room where she'd just sit and watch TV while eatning entirely too much room service. "I am not sure if I know what an... omlette is." Okay. Another hint as to the fact that she's not from around here, but it could just be a matter of her being somewhere where such a food item gets called something else. As for the last? Well. "As much as I would... take you up on that," she says with something of a snicker, "I probably should hold off."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake retrieves his attache case and a trench coat from his former perch, shooing a homeless man away. He hands the coat over to Knockout. Catman pulls his own cape off, sticks it in the case, reverses his shirt and tucks his mask under it. He reveals three ugly jagged scars on his chest matching his emblem.
