Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Colleen Wing

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty had called up Colleen. It had been forever since she'd seen her friend. A lot had been going on, and frankly she felt guilty she hadn't made it over to Chinatown lately to see her. So it was Kitty had sent a text:

> Hey, I'm staying in Manhattan now. Want to come over? I'll order some great Indian and we can catch up. One Madison Park, just give the doorman your name and he'll get you up here ok. Say, 7pm? Come hungry!

Colleen Wing has posed:
The text was a suprise, but was well-recieved. It had been a while since she had heard from her close friend. A friend she trusted a lot more than most people in her life; a life that had taken them both in different directions. An invitation to for Indian food in Manhattan and in Madison Park: Did she say doorman? Colleen had heard she was spending a lot of time with a Mr. Warren Worthington, but had never confirmed this fact.

What does one wear to dinner in Madison Park? It was just eating in and with a close friend. A decision was made and after a doorman's escort Collen found herself outside the door, a soft knock given.

When greeted, Kitty would see Colleen standing in the doorway in a pair of form fitting jeans and an off the shoulder black shirt. "I brought beer." There is a warm smile given as the beer was held aloft. "It's still kind of cold?" Yet her arms quickly extend for an embrace.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The doorman saw Colleen over to an elevator which he unlocked with a key before sending her up. There was no need for knocking, because the elevator doors open into the penthouse itself, the elevator's only stop besides the ground level.

And Kitty is waiting there, wearing a pair of shorts and a deep blue tank top, very casual, and grinning ear to ear. "There you are," Kitty says, and practically tackles Colleen in her rush to hug her. "Man it's been too long. Which I feel guilty for," Kitty says with a sigh.

That they are in the obviously expensive penthouse isn't reflected in the hug. It could have been back in Colleen's dojo. Kitty doesn't let go for a little but, finally does. "Oh, nice. Come in, I can grab some frozen mugs for it if you want," she offers. "The food is already here," Kitty adds, waving Colleen to join her as she heads for the kitchen. Where enough Indian food to feed a small army is set out on the counters.

The embrace is returned, Colleen having buried her face inot the other girls' neck. Clearly she was not going to let go right away, holding her dear friend close to her. When released, Colleen moves to follow , taking her shoes off at the door out of habit of running a dojo and perhaps more so because she was in a place where she dare not walk upon with something that touched the city streets. "It smells delicious Kitty. You know you toom me from a night of guilty pleasure television and a pint of Ben and Jerry's.

Her barefoot steps take her into the kitchen where she waits by the counter, perhaps for direction of where to sit. "From a stray cat to a penthouse...i am impressed." She gives Kitty a smile and a wink. However, her mood swirches a bit as she looks over to her friend. "I suppose you heard about the dojo?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty gets them both plates so they can load them up as they like. "We can eat in the living room in front of the TV," she suggests as she starts spooning food onto her own plate. But she pauses to look at Colleen, a guilty look on her face. "I did. I'm sorry Colleen, I wish I could have been there. Was on a trip for my birthday, and didn't hear about it until well after it was over," she says with a sigh.

Kitty gets a container that will keep the naan good and warm, and brings sauces for the tasty bread with her towards the living room. One wall is all glass windows looking out over the city as the sun is setting in the distance. "Where are you staying now?" she asks.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Collen grabs a plate of her own and starts spooning the food onto it. A little sample of everything is taken, each having a it's own special place on her plate."Well with every end there is a new beginning right? I'll figure something out. I have been staying at Elektra's recently. She was nice enough to allow it while I plan my next steps.

She makes her way into the living room and towards a spot on the couch, sitting carefully in an obvious attmept to not spill anything at all. She forks some of the food into her mouth taking a moment to savor it before continuing. "I knew you would have been there had you known or were around. You are one of the few people in my life I can always depend on." She turns her attention fully to her friend, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Retaliation is swift is it not?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty settles in on the floor beside Colleen's feet, plate on the coffee table. She starts up What We Do In The Shadows on the television. "Oof. So it had something to do with... that stuff you were involved in?" Kitty says with a shake of her head.

"Well whatever I can do to help, you know I'm there for you. If you need a place to stay, if it doesn't work out there, I'm sure we can make some room here for you," Kitty offers.

She glances up towards the upstairs. "Warren's out, has late business meetings so not sure when he'll be back tonight. You haven't really had a chance to meet him yet have you. He's just... so great. really can't imagine life being any better than it has been since we got together last New Year's."

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen smiles down at her friend, lighting kicking her with her barefoot almost out of habit and mild affection. "A lot has happened. A lot. I guess the best way to summarize it is: The Gloves are off the Hand." She says no more and idly forks at her food, poking it before selcting a piece. "I'll be fine. I am always am."

Her expression and tone change to one of more excirtment for Kitty. "I have only heard of him by name and even then I know little else. I do look forward to meeting him. Anyone who is able to keep you happy and safe if a winner in my book. You will have to tell me the story of how you met sometime. Or now? She winks

"I appreciate your offer Kitty. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I think I am in an okay place right now. Sharing a room at Elektra's with a young angry little teen who tried to kill me when we first met...well in her defense she did not know who I was." A bite is taken and she chews before reaching for a sip of the beer. "I'm not used to living with anyone."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde leans over against Colleen's leg as she eats. "Alright. Well, the offer is there if you need it, you know that," Kitty says, giving Colleen's leg a little bump of her head before leaning forward to not be messy as she eats.

Between bites, Kitty relays a bit of her history there. "Well, I knew him from when I was in school. He attended the same place when he was younger. Granted, there's a bit of an age difference. Not a huge one, he's 26. But so not like, at that time, anything was likely to happen. Plus I kind of had eyes for this other guy most of the time," Kitty says.

She nudges her food around her plate with the bread, thinking more about about the tale she's telling than she is about eating. "And, well, I was in the UK at school for a few years. Came back. And ran into him through the school. And... ah well, I just kind of felt like there was chemistry there. And he'd invited me to meet for lunch sometime I was in the city. And I got stuck in the blizzard on New Year's Eve, I had to work. Rolling out a new network infrastructure at Fisk Enterprise. So I called him up. Figured he'd be out partying. But he was home, and nothing to do. So I came over. And, well... wine and the snow outside and... yeah," Kitty says, looking down and smiling.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen seems completely invested in the tale of how Kitty and Warren came to be; a genuine interest in hearing about how her friend found true happiness. She shifts her leg slightly to allow for a more comfort leaning. However, after a moment a decision is made to join her friend on the floor, sitting beside Kitty and draping her leg over her friends casually. "Wine and snow. I should really try that sometime. I have found that rainm the view of an alley and Chinese take-out has not exactly set the mood for love to blossom."

A small laugh scapes her as she reaches for the beer once more. "I am really happy for you Kitty. You deserve everything you have. Mr. Worthington is a lucky man and I am sure he realizes that. If he doesn't, I will be the first to let him know." There is a shoulder nudge in jest given with her words.

"I know the offer will always be there Kitty. It's just hard for me. Hard for me to even accept a bed at Elektra's. I have never been one for charity. It's a pride thing. Honor." Her eyes slide to her again. "But I do realize for me to teach again and help the children, I first need to help myself."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde may have some other ideas how to help, but not the kind of thing she's going to bring up until she's had a chance to speak to Warren about it at least. "Hey, we've all been there," she says. "And he's great. He takes fantastic care of me, and I've known him long enough I know I can trust him. He's got a bit of a reputation of being a playboy. And he was when he was younger. But at the same time, he wasn't... bad about it? And those days are in his past," she says with a smile.

Kitty glances around the penthouse. "I'm still getting used to what his life is like in some ways. That is... well, I've SEEN women chase him for his money. I just... that isn't why I'm here. And I never want to give him a reason to doubt that, you know?"

Colleen Wing has posed:
"He knows that Kitty. Trust me he knows that. You are different. And if he cannot see that then he is a fool. And you would never associate with a fool." Logic over Indian food. "It is going to be a completely different life for you than you could have ever imagined and you will fit into it like a princess." She tips her beer to her friend before sipping. "The stray cat has become a an Aristo-cat. Well done Kitty." She smiles and takes a sip before lowering the bottle.

"If you complete what he is looking for, and I am sure you do, he will give you little reason for you not to trust him."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"I do trust him. Never have doubted him," Kitty says with a warm smile. And then she digs back into her food, while on the screen the vampires in New Zealand begin getting into their antics.

The pair enjoy their Indian food, and Colleen gets to pick a second movie. And there are plenty of leftovers for her to take back with her. The food is from one of the better Indian restaurants in the city, so it seems like Kitty has at least adjusted to Warren's lifestyle that much.
