Date of Scene: 28 March 2020
Location: Wayne Towers Penthouse
Synopsis: Chatting about family and other issues.
Cast of Characters: Carrie Kelley, Damian Wayne

Carrie Kelley has posed:
After breakfast left plenty of time to do whatever one opted to do during Spring Break. Carrie had been around the penthouse awhile as well though she had opted to make a few phone calls, and then inform Damian, "We're going out for awhile. Civilian attire please."

Her own was usually very lounge-around-the-house which also made it good for impromptu workout sessions or yoga stretches when she felt she'd been working on her laptop for too long. This time? She was wearing a stylish yellow sundress with strappy sandals, and her hair was swept back with a barette on either side. A small white wide brimmed hat that she had prepped to wear as well. It wasn't super dressed up but it did make her look far less a 'peasant' as Damian might label her.

She's adjusting a tennis bracelet on one wrist while waiting for Damian by the door. They weren't REAL diamonds, but Swarovski crystals. All the shine without the same dime behind them.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian had been occupying his time outside of school, he'd been looking over the dossier that Dick had given him, over and over again.

As the call to dress for the outside came, he in fact did. Black slacks, black dress shoes, and a smashing red dress shirt with black tie. Yes, he quite preferred this style of dressing over a t-shirt and shorts, as so many of his age group enjoyed.

As he walks down the stairs of the penthouse, he sees Carrie, in her getup, and seems very impressed. "What are we doing?" He asks, a little short, but then again, so is he.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley glances over toward Damian with a slight nod of apparent approval at his attire. Really she wasn't worried about his fashion sense though; he seemed to have that rather well in hand. A final tug on her bracelet is given to swing the clasp around to the other side where it's hidden, and she tips her head toward the door. "We're going shopping, mostly, but really it's so that you can be seen outside doing some social things. Magazines and newspapers *love* following after rich families during Spring Break to see how the upper crust lives. Besides, it'd be good to get some fresh air and it's actually warm today. I've had the doorman downstairs pull one of the convertables out of the garage."

"We can stop by the Manor on the way back to check over the progress of the construction as well. Let you see the grounds. And I can show you were the secondary entrances an exits to the cave are," she adds with a little grin knowing that he might like *that* part of the outing.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Like clockwork, Damian had already started rolling his eyes at the explanation about the tabloids loving to follow families like his around. He merely gives a shrug of his shoulders though as that bit ends.

Once Carrie starts talking about the Cave though...that is a whole different story. He was suddenly aglow with enthusiasm. "Okay then, let us away." He says, pretty much raring to go.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley grins as she knew he would enjoy that part of it. "Yeah, I'm not a fan of shopping myself," she admits with a roll of her shoulders as she hits the button for the elevator. Stepping inside, and turning again she waits for him to enter too so they can descend. As they begin to do so she continues, "But it's important to keep up a secret identity, too. If you're not really anyone important it's fine to fly under the radar. You're a Wayne though. In Gotham City... They're almost the founders of the city. Not quite, but you get my drift. People expect the Waynes to be here. To be seen on occasion. To give some cheery remark or another."

The elevator is quick as it always is, and when they reach the bottom floor she flips up her hat to slide it on completing the look. It was almost as if she were going to a garden tea party or something. Walking across the lobby the doorman spots them and hurries to open the door with a bright smile.

"Ms. Wayne! The Ferrari is ready for you. Good to see you in Gotham again!"

a politely amused laugh comes as Carrie reaches out to lightly pat his arm in a friendly fashion. "Oh, Michael, thank you! Please, though--You know I didn't take my fathers name. Just Carrie, please. And of course you know Damian, right?" She asks glancing back to indicate the youngest Wayne.

"Ah, yes, of course!" The forties-something man looks just a bit flustered but happy enough, and tips his hat at the pair. "Enjoy your outing!"

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian's head rears a bit as Michael calls Carrie: Ms. Wayne. The revelation was certainly...weird. "Thank you." He comments, keeping up appearances. As they make their way out, Damian glances behind themselves, to Michael, and back to Carrie.

Once they were in the car, however, he let loose. "Ms. Wayne?" He asks, wanting an explanation to all of that.

Luckily for Carrie, he wouldn't make a violent play here. Not in the open, and not with anyone watching who could see his face.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley expected as much. At least he waits until they start driving away which is fine with her. A glance is cast from the corner of her eye at him with a single solitary nod. "Caroline Keene Kelley-Wayne," She explains. "Technically." The explanation pauses breifly as she shifts into higher gear to expertly weave through traffic.

"Bruce adopted me several years ago. It was the easiest way to explain why a young woman was hanging around him so much without pretending some ridiculous relationship. Besides, it helped to establish a firm identity for me here."

There's a pause before she adds, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before. There were other more important things for us to focus on and then it just seemed kind of weird to bring up out of the blue."

Damian Wayne has posed:
Slumping in his chair, Damian seems to stew in this revelation. "Any other children I do not know of? I do hope he uses a prophylactic when he had a tryst." Yep, that's right. Damian openly admitted that he hoped his dad wraps his tool.

"Anything else I should know beforehand?" Bow that he knows about it, and that the questions are now more than a hypothetical.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley chuckles faintly at that though she can't help but shudder just a little bit at mention of... "Ew. Not a mental image I needed." Her head shakes lightly. "So far as I know, just us. Dick, Tim, and me." There's a long pause before she adds, "And one other, but he hasn't been around in awhile. The second Robin. Jason Todd." There's a strange tone to her voice at this... It was a difficult topic after all.

"Anyway. How's school been going? I know you're just using it to socialize."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Good, the last thing I need is a blood sibling hopping around as well. Since he apparently adopts everyone under the sun."

Damian keeps his eyes peering out to the window as they keep moving. Gotham in the daytime was a might but different than Gotham in the daytime. "School is fine." He says, not expounding more yet. He would make her work for more info it seems. Of course, not like Damian ever had an interested family member before. It was expected to excel at everything he was being taught.
