Rebel Recruitment
Date of Scene: 11 October 2021
Location: Gotham Woods
Synopsis: A host of valiant adventurers answer the call of Gemworld's floundering rebellion.
Cast of Characters: Amy Winston, Achilles, Bart Allen, Terry O'Neil, Hercules, Meggan Puceanu, Kaida Connolly, Cassandra Cain, Victor Stone

Amy Winston has posed:
It all began with flyers scattered around. That eerily real looking picture of what could only be described as a fantasy princess in resplendent purple crystalline armor astride a pegasus and the words 'Are you skilled warrior, wizard, or adventurer? Do you stand against tyranny in all of its forms? Are you willing to fight for another world?' It reads like a LARP advertisement or some sort of AR marketing campaign for a new fantasy video game.

The location of the meet couldn't be more fitting either. In the forests outside of Gotham, the gloomy weather so typical for that city casts long shadows among the tall trees. Thick underbrush makes straying from the old and well worn paths difficult as one gets deeper into the forest until the towers of steel and glass in the distance are blocked out completely by the treetop canopy.

Deep in the heart of the woods, those following the crude map from the flyers will come to an open clearing at least one hundred meters across ringed by thick old trees and in the middle of the clearing, astride the very same pure white pegasus steed is the fairytale princess clad in purple crystalline armor from the flyer.

Achilles has posed:
Sure, Angelo isn't one to go examine this on his own, but it was suggested to him that he might go an investigate for a few reasons. Sure, SHIELD was curious about all of this, and whenever it's something that they aren't really sure of... they send someone like Angelo, with a few special ... tricks. Such as his inability to die.

What? Mom cheated. But he makes his way out there to the woods, taking his average car most of the way. When he realizes that he can't drive any closer, he parks and grabs his kit bag out of the trunk before slinging it over his shoulder and moving into the dense forested area.

Entering the clearing, he presents the sort of image one would not expect even if they had any guess as to his background and origin. He's wearing a simple thin black turtleneck and blue jeans along with biker boots. It's quite an unusual ensemble.

But with the large gym bag over one shoulder, he looks like he's expecting some sort of picnic at a campsite, rather than the purported rebellion coming up. "Well, I guess this is the place." he says when he sees the steed and rider.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen has read the info Conner had posted to the Outsiders, but this sounded so much like some of the games Bart has heard about from the classic RPGS, he had to dress the part. So Impulse does make it to the clearing for the meeting, but instead of his normal costume, he is dressed like Link, complete with practice sword and shield, but he is wearing his mask still, so he looks even goofier than normal.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Most people would consider that advertisement to be nothing more than absolute ya-ya, clearly some viral campaign to get people worked up about a new videogame or Amazon series or whatever.

That can't be said for the person who happens to be /the/ Cheshire Cat, for whom an armored princess astride a pegasus recruiting brave adventurers to help another world is perfectly plausible. You don't vanish into a black hole and traverse crazy planets, fight your way through Tartarus and then spend a few days in themyscira, and overall just /exist/ as a creature of chaos magic without having a rather broad and open mind.

The Rabbit Hole opens up and Vorpal steps through, dressed to the nines in his uniform (or at least the most recent design, there being something of a competition between Terry and Kara about who manages to get more costume redesigns in a year). That's when he notices that one of the gathered party members is Impulse.

Dressed as Link.

"Crap. Was there a dress code that I wasn't aware of, Impulse? I thought you couldn't go wrong with spandex..."

Hercules has posed:
The Call to Adventure takes many forms. Sometimes it is overt, a rallying cry in dire times, other times it is just the desire to see what is there byond the horizon, yet other times it is an old friend asking if you want to get on a boat with him and a bunch of other guys and go make poor choices.

This is to say that-

                                    HERCULES
                                PRINCE OF POWER

has answered less worthy causes than this!

So emerges the Lion of Olympus in his skirt, sash, and strappy sandels, adamantine club at his side, a look of-

Well, it was determination but then it was surprise! He had expected the picture to be so.. well, real.

This surprise faded when he spots a relation!

"Ho, Nephew!" booms the Scion of Zeus, arm held high and waved about with an abundance of enthusiasm.

Meggan Puceanu has posed:
Meggan was snared at the pegasus, though someone in fantastic purple gemstone armour inspires her to follow up in greater haste. Striking out onto the Internet might give a few fascinating hits on who the amazing artist is, or what they represent, and she ends up curled up in a coffee shop for far too long trying to determine the specifics. The forest location just checks one more box for the faerie empath, and she practically has to force herself to wait and show up fashionably on time instead of early. Really early wouldn't be cool.

The tall trees wrapped in perpetual gloom don't upset her, given it's almost home for someone raised in the rainy side of the universe -- see also, the sceptr'd isle, Britannia, the wettest grey island this side of the Faroes. The golden-haired girl brings her own light with her, practically and mildly radiant, lightly flitting along here or there with elegant ease on whatever path she can find. It's more a thought than anything else as she drifts in, and the smile on her face grows wide upon catching sight of pegasus, fantasy lady, several other interesting people already coming in.

"Ooh! Hullo!" is a welcome greeting, waving enthusiastically. She slinks a bit toward Terry, whom she knows quite well indeed. "Look at everyone who came! That's..." For once, it's safe to have her pointed ears visible, and thus they are.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Well, I never understood spandex as a fashion choice, personally!" Kaida states rather boldly from Terry's shoulder. She's in her usual baggy, custom made outfit with her bare mousey feet perched on Terry. She knew once she saw the flyer that this would at the very least be fun and if anyone questions her place there, they need only look to the shield at her back and the sword at her hip.

"I personally prefer looser fitting clothing that breathes and gives!" Kaida states as she leaps with a spin and lands before Terry with her shield out and her sword pointed toward Amy. She gives it a quick flourish before giving a few quick jabs forward and then raises the blade up to her face before flicking it to her side.

"Fear not! For I am here and I will defeat whatever evils might face your home! This here is my trusted ally, the Cheshire Cat! We shall face any evil and take down any foe!" She then gestures to Bart and nods, "Also Link from the Legend of Zelda is here, apparently. He can't talk much but he sure can make loud noises and break any evil pot or tall grass that might be in our way."

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Not Cass. The girl couldn't look goofy if she was dressed as a clown. It'd just be a clown that scared you and may have beat up your parents.

She isn't 'showing up'. She's scouting the terrain, and looking down on them in absolute silence. The edge of the clearing holds enough trees to let her have height, and she isn't going to win any contests of power in this crowd.

It never mattered, not to her. The little asian woman moves a little, then slips about. She takes the distraction of Vorpal arriving, to walk behind Hercules. She uses his blind spot and gets behind Meggan. Then she waits an instant, something Bart does drawing attention, and walks right up to Amy.

To anyone watching it would seem that she just appeared out of thin air. Still silent, she waits to be noticed.

Victor Stone has posed:
Victor Stone isn't normally the kind of guy to do this kind of thing. For one thing, he looks like an NFL linebacker decided to go as a robot for Halloween and only put together half the costume. Not exactly fantasy inspired. But maybe some of Terry's glitter has been getting up in his mental circuits, because when Terry showed him the flyer, Vic's first thought was "hey I'm a skilled warrior and adventurer!" Blame the unicorn kitties maybe. The food on Rann. The prior adventures through alternate dimensions. The recent Roomba football uprising. Things have been weird. What's a princess on a pegasus? Sounds like fun!

At any rate, he steps out of the Rabbit Hole after Terry, looking like himself, no fancy getup. Maybe they can claim it's shining armor. He looks around at the group and frowns slightly. "Well now I just feel under dressed," he says, eyeing Impulse as well.

Amy Winston has posed:
The glittering blonde princess on winged horseback surveys the gathered crowd. Violet eyes looking this way and that from one individual to another. "Oh wow! You came as Zelda!" She exclaims when her eyes reach Bart, momentarily shattering her regal presence. She apparently knows about video games, though not enough to get Link's name right.

Her eyes continue past the Cheschire Cat, the elven maiden, the living embodiment of Strength and his casual-wear warrior nephew, the small mouse, girl, and even the roguelike shadow who manages to get so close to her before she notices. For someone who has spent the last year of her life in Gemworld, all of these are more 'normal' sights than a video game character and ...a cyborg?!

"Oh my god, you are so cool!" She exclaims, staring at Victor for a moment before regaining her composure. Remember, Princess mode she thinks to herself.

"Thank you all for coming." Princess Amethyst begins. "I was not really sure how to go about recruiting and was not sure the flyers would be effective, but it seems they were! I will get right to the point, I come from a world called Nilaa, some call it Gemworld because of the Great Houses named for Gemstones. I am Amaya the Princess Amethyst, a princess in name only. In truth I am an exile. Amethyst used to be first among the houses of Gemworld before we and all of the other houses were brought low by the treachery of a villainous tyrant of House Opal who styles himself 'Dark Opal' It's a dumb name, but his threat is very real, his forces incredibly strong, and our rebellion is in tatters. This world is full of heroes, but most of Nilaa's heroes have fallen. So I am seeking those who would be willing to accompany me back to Nilaa and fight. This isn't going to be a short or easy fight, it is truly asking a lot, but I have no other options left in order to free Nilaa.

Amaya stops to take a breath because, well it's a long speech. "Travel between worlds is possible though. I actually grew up on this world so that Dark Opal couldn't reach me and have adopted parents here, so travel back and forth is very possible. Now, if you want to talk away, I won't blame you but if you still wish to fight, please tell me your name and how you think you can help the Rebellion."

Achilles has posed:
You see, Angelo, aka Achilles was just here to investigate and such. The presence of a relative however... makes him roll his eyes. He's never really had the best of relations with the divine side of the family. I mean... think about it, his Great Great Great Uncle is Hades, and he cannot die. For a time there, it felt like Hades was just trying all sorts of new ways to see if anything stuck. Spoiler alert, it didn't..

But the story -does- tug at his heart... damnit. So he steps forward and offers, "I've fought in more wars than most people can count. If you are staging a rebellion against superior forces, you are going to need an -experienced- soldier."

He gestures to Hercules and says, "My distant Uncle here Herakles.." yes, he pronounces it the old way, "Can likely vouch for my experience..." A pause and he adds, "What I am saying, to sum it up is, I am in if you will have me."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over to the lady on the pegasus and says "The princesses is Zelda, I'm dressed as Link, It is a common error, but while Link is the hero it is all about saving Zelda, and her world. I mean like when we go save your world, even though we are fighting it would be the legend of Amaya, cause if you tried putting all the heroes names in it would be the Legend, of Cheshire, Kaida, Cyborg, Hercules, Cass, Meggan,  Agent Tampambulos and Impulse.. And see for anyone but me that just takes to long to say." He then looks over to Terry. "Well it is an adventure to another relm, I thought this was better than blue shorts, and a blue shirt with a rabbit eared mask. I mean the backpack might come in handy, but I usually just run back to get stuff, I might have forgot.

Hercules has posed:
As Amaya exposits, Hercules approaches to proper, conversational distance with a mounted person. "Please," he bade of his distant Nephew, "Hercules. She needs no glory from such as I and I would offer her none." the relations of the divine are tranquil for none, otherwise Hercules would be amongst Olympians and not so motly a crew.

"Fear not, Princess! Ever is this world abundant with Heroes and now more than ever are they up to the trials of their new adventures wherever they might be held!"

Meggan Puceanu has posed:
"Bit of a tosser, that Dark Opal, isn't he? Like, at least be 'black opal' or 'fire opal.' Even that's a bit..." Handwobbling to imply her opinion of that, Meggan bounces on her heels, listening quite intently to every element of the story being woven as a right proper adventure. "That's all clear enough to follow. Nilaa needs help for its people and is there anything specific we ought to know about House Opal's forces? That might help us figure out what you need a bit better."

Her pale jade eyes brighten considerably, and she breaks into a smile when Angelo steps forward. "How cool is that? Hey, you. And... wait, you're actually Herakles? Nice to meet you, we're sort of roundabout related. This keeps getting better and better." Pale sheet of golden hair flooding off her shoulder when she tilts her head, her face is haloed in a faint, suffused light despite the forest being entirely awash in darkness. She taps her fingers as Bart names them off, and breaks into that sunshine-bright smile. "Got the fighters in the party all figured out, have we? Crackin' good for us. Rogues or maybe ranger, bard, that's giving us a good spread altogether."

She combs her fingers through her bangs, and then adds at a quick clip to dismiss any attention her way, "Right, I'm Meggan and I can be whatever's needed. Friendly face, fighter, this sod's right-hand person to get through a gate? You need a dragon, I can be a dragon."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"That's because, Kaida dear, you are a berzerker swordfighter, your gear restrictions are different from mine from the rulebook point of view. I'm an acrobat- baggy stuff is the last thing you want to wear when you're propelling your body in defiance of the laws of physics, for one tangle means you're going to break something. And on the plus side, it flatters the figure- ask Nightwing."

Meggan gets a grin and a wave, "Oh hey there, stranger! Fancy meeting you in this merry gathering of adventurers..." and they both get derailed because Herakles.

"Wait. /The/ Herakles?" the Cheshire cat says, eyes widening. "Ooh...I need to get your autograph after this is said and done. And you're related to him?" he glances at Angelo, "That's cool." Eyes back to the big guy, "You know, a whole bunch of us visited Queen Hippolyta last month."

But there are things that need to be said and perils to be braved. Terry doesn't get the opportunity to point out that, from the cosplay aspect alone, Impulse is singularly well-suited to play Link. He's got the hair. But as the princess speaks her request, the Cheshire cat nods and glances at Victor, and then ove at Kaida, "Well. I'm in. As Meggan said, that Dark Opal sounds like a tosser. That's the kind of name a cadre of dissafected poseurs would choose as their band name. And their music would probably suck. I shall join your quest to rid your world of his reign- and the inevitable bargain-bin CD."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"When I'm done with him he'll be the B***h Opal!" Kaida adds to Meggan's little talk about names. She nods and slides her sword away before looking to Terry and rolling her eyes, "I'm not a berzerker swordfighter! I'm just the best fighter!" She then blinks and looks over at Bart before huffing and putting her hands on her hips.

"You are the worst Link cosplayer!" She nods her head, "You only get to say 'HA!' and 'Hiyaah!'" And she jumps about making swinging motions with her hand as if she were still holding a blade. She then laughs and blinks.

"Hercules?!" She is suddenly at Hercules feet, moving at speed that the eye might have trouble following. She leaps up to his face and considers a she eyes him, "I don't know. You might be tougher than me. Maybe." She considers and then waves to Angelo in passing before rushing over to Meggan suddenly. Once more she leaps and looks Meggan over as she does, considering her.

"Are you one of those dragons that hides in human form?"

Cassandra Cain has posed:
A deep breath is the answer from the rogue. Not Rogue, she's not coming, though I can see how that might get confusing.

Her face, exposed and unmasked, is just a face. She looks normal, if tough. She shifts to watch each person as they speak, and there's something in her that says that she's invested in every, single, word.

Complete attention. It's rare in this world.

"Cassandra," her voice says. Then her eyes glance back to the Princess. And she simply stands still, so still that eyes would slip past her. Even standing in the open. This woman could go anywhere.

Victor Stone has posed:
Vic brightens visibly at 'so cool.' It always gives him a little lift, when someone thinks he's 'cool' rather than a monster. Maybe he'll even get over his Issues one day. Probably not, but maybe. Then he frowns slightly as he listens. Okay, it /sounds/ silly because of the gemstones, but if you ignore all that... well. He nods in firm agreement with Terry. "I'm Victor Stone, or Cyborg, and if Terry and Kaida are in then I'm in. Titans don't shy away from a hard fight, or a long one. Although I think I'd be an artificer, so we'll have to go with an expanded rulebook." He grins. "Not sure even the chrome can compete with /Hercules/ for sheer strength."

It continues to be really cool, that however much he sometimes dislikes what he's become since the accident, he now gets to do things like have the Cheshire Cat as a friend and meet literal Hercules and go on adventures to fantasy worlds. And... people who can be dragons. Also cool.

Amy Winston has posed:
Amaya's eyebrows raise when Angelo informs her he has been through countless wars, that is certainly a selling point where forming a rebellion is concerned. Her biggest worry with the flyers was that she would just attract a bunch of game geeks and cosplayers who couldn't actually swing a sword. "I would be very glad to have someone with such experience." She agrees.

The princess' head nods slowly as she listens to Bart explain the differences between Link and Zelda. The Legend of Amaya does have a nice ring to it though "I am not so helpless as that princess though." She informs Bart with a smile, as a purple crystalline sword manifests out of thin air in her hand. She probably doesn't know about the games where Zelda becomes Sheik and is a badass warrior.

Hercules' introduction raises Amaya's eyebrows as well, even she knows that name from her childhood on Earth. It's a showstopper, really. "If you are the Hercules of legend, there are few better I could hope for to answer this call, welcome."

There is a moment when Amaya seems a bit confused as to what a 'tosser' is but seems to work it out from context with the rest of the remarks about Dark Opal. She pauses to consider the question about Dark Opal's forces. "They are many and varied. Legions of shock troops similar to what you might call orcs, trolls, and even giants. Powerful magic users of other houses bent to his will, some willingly, others less so. But more frightening, he has made many pacts with dark realms and the entities that dwell within from beyond Nilaa, which is how he managed to get the upper hand in the first place." There is another pause when the elfin woman says that she can be anything, including a dragon. "Wow. That's... amazing." Is all Amaya can manage for a moment. "Even in Nilaa, dragons are rare and powerful creatures." And then as much a curious Earth girl as a would be Rebel Princess she asks, "Can you show us?" It's not that she doesn't believe her, she just wants to see a dragon.

The cat is an acrobat and the mouse the self-proclaimed best fighter except maybe Hercules. Amaya watches the reactions of all present to the most storied of arrivals, this is already far better than she had dared to hope.

Her eyes linger on Cassandra for a few moments and she nods. "Welcome Cassandra." Not much really needs to be said, she's already demonstrated her skills to great effect.

When Cyborg repeats Terry's refference to a rulebook, the princess finally cants her head to one side and asks, "I'm sorry, rulebook? Expanded rulebook?" Clearly Amaya has never played D&D.

Achilles has posed:
Glancing to the others, Angelo shrugs his shoulders, "Sorry. Everyone was so polite. I go by Angelo. I am an operative of SHIELD. But before that I have lived hundreds of lives, and used just about every form of weapon from the bronze age forward."

He sets down his bag and the clink of metal and plastics jingling together can be heard, "I brought as much weapons and gear as I could fit into the trunk of my car. I... have some for my own personal use. But I could outfit a small squad of soldiers with modern firearms such as the sort that SHIELD uses. I even brought three ICER pistols which are nonlethal."

That said, he rolls his neck and since this is time for show-and-tell... he sends the mental command to cause his armor and shield to depart their tiny storage compartments.. the Hephaestus-forged items appearing on his body... ancient Bronze and Leather hoplite styled armor, a helm without the big horse hair stuff... and a circular shield on his arm. "I should be well prepared for what is to come."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over to Cass, and will ask "Need me to go grab anything for you?" He looks at his sword and shield and says "I probably should have found something besides a prop shop for these." He says and taps the weapon and shield together, they are metal but yea not true weapon quality. He then looks over to Kaida, and says "I was quiet for a whole three minutes, do you know how hard that is?" He looks over to Amaya and says "Depending on when your plan on going I might be able to bring Superboy and the other Outsiders, but you got out Martial artist supreme and the fastest cosplayer in the east."

Hercules has posed:
The Lion of Olympus becomes slightly busy. "Yes, but please, Hercules." he insists with a broad, warm smile as he turns to face Meggan, lips splitting open, cheeks rising up causing his eyes to narrow just so, a light seeming to twinkle within them. "You know, I keep suggesting reunions for just this situation-" he begins, Meggan is spared a moment of crushing, familial warmth by the interdiction of Cheshire.

"None other than he himself. As I said however, pleas, H-" ippolyta?!

His demeanor shifts from the mien of a warm and patient celebrity to one of a very interested individual. "Truly? Yes.. How, how is-" The one that got away, or, more precisely, the one that he was driven away from by a jealous, vindictive half-mother scorned goddess.

Suddenly, Reepicheep! Hercules wonders momentarily if he has stumbled into a fable already! The mousewoman is a whirlwind unto herself and gone before he can further voice anything but "Yes!" almost thankful.

Turning to regard Amaya once more, "I am exactly he and as has been said by others, I say as well. You have my vow that we will see your home liberated of villainy no matter the forces arrayed against us."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Are you the Cassandra of Troy?" Vorpal asks, when Cassandra quietly introduces herself. With Hercules and his relative there, can you blame him for making that connection? "This seems to be quite a gathering... yes, of course, Hippolyta. She is doing fine. You can ask me about the trip later..." Vorpal is, of course, intent on asking a few things himself. Myth says that Herakles murdered Hippolyta while trying to get her magic girdle. Other myths say that her death was completely accidental and the result of a ploy by Hera to further complicate things in the Impossible Tasks. Obviously, reports of Polly's deaths have been greatly exaggerated, since she feasted the Titans for helping save Themyscira against the armies of Ixion, bringing an end to the edict that no man may set foot on Paradise Island.

"Oh, do be a dragon, Meggan! But only if you'll let me fly on you while I shout 'Falkor' at the sky. That is a contractual obligation..." glancing back at the princess, he grins. "My compatriots have spoken, and so we will join you. I am the Cheshire Cat, by the way. I do a lot of things. Some of them involve involve magic, others involve clawing people, and some - the best- involve glitter. And as for rulebooks... well. I can tell you all about them after this adventure is done."

Meggan Puceanu has posed:
"I just might be! But a nice one either way." Meggan enthuses, her tumbling golden hair pulled over to her shoulder, and she beams at Kaida's impressive leap. "It's so very nice to see someone enthusiastic about their role and their skills. She doesn't seem at all aware of the risk of being swept into a hug or it doesn't bother her in the least; probably the latter. A distinct lack of hostility accommodating the impulse probably might net Hercules a hug of his own if he dares to do it later. "Excellent, there are so many wonderfully kind and heroic people here, this cannot help but turn out well. It's bound not to be a jolly walk in the park with that sort of strength assembled in Nilaa, but..."

"Pick a colour?" she asks of Terry, skipping a a glance at him. "The sky is no trouble, if I can't fly then I'm dead or impersonating a rock." True fact, that. The forest is only so large, gaps between the trees there to accommodate mighty Greek gods of strength and Cheshire Cats. Monstrously large cryptids might cleave a little too close to actual Titans of ancient Greek myth to be wise. But it really doesn't take any time at all for her to curtsy politely to Amaya, and make a halfway decent showing of it. Her hands slip up to her brow as she rises.

By the time she touches her hair, her skin transforms to iridescent scales, and her mortal form is but an illusory shell, cascading away in a breath. Heartbeat later, wings fold tightly to the long ridge of a draconic spine. All that mass comes from somewhere. Where? Who knows, but becoming taller than a giraffe while seated is altogether an effort not to knock anyone over. Especially with that long tail curled around ferociously sharp talons studding her feet. She is altogether a dragon of mostly western stylings, distinguishably different from the lindwurm or the eastern monarchs, and embellished a wee bit like a certain fantasy series here or there.

"The best of Cheshire Cats," she agrees in sibilant tones. The liquid moonlight and shadows deflect off the innate gold she'd naturally pick, though getting her colour cue from anyone automatically settles her hue to that. Don't you dare say polka dot. She honestly would.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Cass shakes her head to Bart. Terry's own comment to her gets a stare. Asian features look back, and she raises an eyebrow just the tiniest bit.

She then slips back a few steps and vanishes. She doesn't do much of anything, just...steps backward until nobody's looking at her anymore. There's so many much more interesting people here, and that makes her life ridiculously easy at times.

Then she's just elsewhere, where nobody's bothering to look, and fades into the background. For all that this is a meeting, she's not doing much meeting.

If she watches the dragon, then she does it from the back. Rogues do it from behind. Or in this case, from where they're not likely to be breated fire upon.

Victor Stone has posed:
Vic /stares/ at Meggan's transformation, not in any sort of leering sense but just in a 'wow' sort of sense. That's impressive, and he is suitably impressed. "Well, we've got a dragon, I think we're set."

Then Victor grins at Amaya. "I joke a lot. What 'artificer' really means is that most of what I do is technological. Sonic blasts from my arms, lasers and electricity, rockets in my shoe. I've got advanced senses, and I'm strong and fast and tough." He bangs a fist onto his chrome chest. "The jokes and the charm's all natural, though."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Staring at the things happening around her, Kaida takes this opportunity to leap to Terry's shoulder and sit down. She watches the various people speak and then points to herself, "As was said earlier, I'm Kaida!" She nods her head and then looks over at Meggan as it seems she's about to see a dragon.

"Holy crap!" She declares as she watches Meggan transform and then Kaida leans over toward Terry and shifty eyes as she states, "Don't tell Gar, but I think she does it better than him."

Amy Winston has posed:
No matter how many times you see a dragon, it is never any less impressive, someone transforming into a dragon, especially so when a person transforms into one. "Wow." Is all she can say for a moment. "That is even more amazing than I imagined. This really could be a game changer for Nilaa." In that maybe they have a chance. Hope has been in short supply lately.

She looks over those assembled. "Thank you all of you, really. To pledge yourselves to a strange world that is not your own. Really it means a lot. Before I show you Nilaa though, there is one other task that needs to be done. There were five other Rebels with me, fleeing Dark Opal's forces, when I arrived. They were taken by a group Superboy told me is called the DEO. We need to get them back."

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Cassandra places a hand on Amy's shoulder. She's not going anywhere, and the request....yes. She'll help. Though she may not be the most powerful, it's possible she could even give Megan a run for her money on breaking into places and finding missing Rebels.

This will happen. And you never know, there might even be some heavy hitters around in case things go sideways.
