Cast of Characters: Phoebe Beacon, Tim Drake

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe just needed to rest a little bit, she considered. It wasn't that her body had ejected two semiautomatic 9mm slugs from her stomach while she pushed her physical powers and prowess to the limit, and was traveling back towards her home neighborhood.

A few blocks before, she had to stop. She'd turned her jacket inside-out so that it looked like a black jacket with grayish trim to it. Her domino and lower mask were stuffed into the pocket he had stitched between fabric, and she was walking at a medium-slow pace.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake will spot her from the roof tops, not finding the other two yet, he will move ahead of her into an alleyway. He sets things up so when she gets to the alley he bangs against a trash can, and there is an RR from light on the wall, while Tim stands in the dark.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
The girl stops, taking a few steps backwards as the bang on the trashcan gets her attention -- and then she spots the bright RR in light on the wall, and she goes

"... oh!" -- and then stands awkwardly "... is this about the boat?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake steps out of the shadows, and says "I heard there were some ladies getting shot at and perhaps hit, did not expect Ravanger was the one hit." He will tell her motioning her on over to him.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"I'm going to gue Ravanger was not the one with the rainbow powers." Beacon replies quietly, and she walks over. "It's already healed over. I just have a couple of holes I've got to sew in my jacket." she points out to him.

She lifts her jacket, showing her side where the two bullets would have gone in.

"... also met Diana. She's... not entirely encouraging me to show off the healing prowess. Is it a bad idea for me to be out trying to fight crime then?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Without training yes, you want to do this you have to learn to not get shot, you heal and that's good, but we don't want to find the limits of that power. I've known a few people who have done the hero thing without powers, but it takes a lot of work and practice."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Eh. I suppose this is where the 'it only looks easy because you worked your butt off at it before' part comes in, yeah?" Phoebe gives a gloomy sort of admission. "I mean, you don't appear to have any weird powers. I can only assume that's... kinda the normal for your... team?" she asks, haltingly, trying not to sound too nosy.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "People say Batman can turn into a bat, turning into a robin a lot less spooky." He offers not confirming or denying things. "And Gotham has a lot of very bad people you luckily have not encountered any of them.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"... I have. Not all bad guys are like the ones you fight, Red." Beacon replies quietly, and she rubs the back of her head before she hops up to sit on some discarded crates.

"So... what do you think? Should I even be out there?" she asks of him, "... or is it too dangerous, in case someone fins out about my powers?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her and says "Well as an adult, I should say you should not be out super heroing it is dangerous and yes if someone like Two Face learned about you it could be bad. If your wanting to, I would say work on your training more, and if you are wanting to train.... " he think about it a minute "I can help."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
The girl pauses a moment, looking over to Tim as she considers, and she shrugs, drawing her shoulders up.

"So, you already know who I am beneath the mask." she states quietly. "You don't happen to know about my dad, do you?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake has looked into oh yes, it is part of what he does, and he may even know more about her than she does in some ways. He nods his head and says Mr. Beacon was a hero, but that means you need to consider this even more so.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Posthumously promoted to Captain Beacon." she states, and she frowns a moment, rubbing the back of her head. "So. Yeah. I found out a little before my dad died that I could do this. I thought maybe it meant I was supposed to be something more, to /do/ something more.... but it's hard when you still have to do your calculus homework before you can head out. What about you? How old were you when you started on this, Red?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her about your age, but was taken through some serious training before I was allowed on the streets. Tell me though if something happens to you what happens to your mom?" He asks her, wanting to make sure she is facing some of the hard facts.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Nothing will happen. I'm not out after people like The Joker. I'm there for the goons and lowlifes, I'm there for healing the homeless. That's what I want to do. But when someone yells for help -- how can I not chance it?" the girl questions, trying to steer away from bringing up her mother.. but then she closes her eyes. "... I already have to sneak out of the house."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her and says "A foot and a half higher maybe two foot." He looks down at the bullet holed coat. He looks from there to right between her eyes. He does not speak again for a moment letting that fill in for her.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
And it's not like Phoebe didn't realize the risks. "Yeah, well... you... make a good point." she says quietly, rubbing the back of her head as she closes her eyes, then looks down at the pavement, discouraged. And she reaches into the backwards fanny-pack she was using in lieu of a utility belt, and she takes out the extendable staff that Red Robin had given her the last they spoke, and she offers it back to him.

"Maybe it's better if this Beacon keeps to blogging."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Keep it, you may need it, even if you do not go out, it is better to have it. If you want to do this you need to keep training, and working at it. As I said maybe able to help with the training"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"No, it's like you said -- what happens to my mom if something happens to me? Or if they find out where I am? What kinda bad guy wouldn't want a magical healer on their team? And it's not like I can turn it off, either. Even now you're standing cloe enough to me that you probably feel just realy happy, really good, with your body healing just by being near me. It's not a life I wanted to lead. I never know if my friends like me for me, or if they like me because my powers make them feel good." she states, and then just pauses, and huff.

"S-sorry, oversharing. I get nervous." she explains quietly.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smiles a bit and says "Well, keep the staff never hurts to have something to surprise someone. And you can still help people if you want to be the Superhero doc I can call you when someone needs help, maybe ever show ya my teams base.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Is it as pretty as the embassy I got sent to hang out at?" Phoebe asks, trying to summon up a smile. "... thank you for that. I think that's the first time I've had bruises that lasted more than an hour." she jokes.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smirks a bit and says "Na, pretty sure the Amazon's keep a prettier place than mine. mine is more function or appearance." He will admit. "Are you supposed to go back to them?

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"I'm pretty sure I'm welcome to. Cass was nice, and it was... interesting tobe able to talk to someone about my powers. They also offered to help me find out where I actually come from... but I don't know how that'll work. I mean, I was left with a liquor store clerk by two people they've never seen and have never been seen since. Pretty sure after fourteen years, they don't really care about me."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake shrugs a bit and says "While a liquor store is an odd choice, they may have done it thinking you would better off in the system than with them, and to be honest seems it has turned out ok?

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"... sometimes I wonder," Phoebe admits, "only in context of my powers. My parents, as far as I'm concerned, are the Beacons." she states with a little more force behind the statement, and she rubs the back of her head. "So.. why did you take an interest in me, of all things?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "You care about Gotham, and unlike most your trying to shine a light on the good side lifting people up. It is something the city could use a bit more of.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"But is that enough?" Phoebe questions, "Is it enough to just care? I have these powers, but what good are they if I can't do stuff with them?" she protests in a rather teenage whine, and then dramatically flops back.

    "I just wanna be useful."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well healing hurt heros would be something useful, you consider doctors and paramedics usefull don't you?" He ooffers her with a smile."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"... that's not what I meant. Besides, if suddenly hurt heroes start lining up outside my skylight, my mom's going to have a *lot* of questions." the teen replies, and she sits up.

"All right, done with the dramatics, now that I've got that outta my system...."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "I can contact you to help some. If you want more training let me know, and as I told IMP, always keep bus or train fair in your shoe."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Got one better." the girl states, and pulls out her wallet, holding up --

    "Railpass."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "Good girl, remember think like a boy scout the more prepared you are the better in most all things.
