Cast of Characters: Tynan Ireton, Felicia Hardy, Jonathan Sims, Mairin Moran

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Well, its fairly late in the night on a Sunday. Ty is at the bar, nursing a glass of whiskey as she watches the crowd a bit. The woman is a bit tired after doing a job last night. It seems she's starting to fall behind, but Ty expected as much when it comes to magic. Its a new skill, and well, she's not the most educated person. She sighs a bit. Mairin is already casting fireballs. Great...

Ty sips her whiskey, and stretches out a bit. She breathes in, and takes an inventory in her head of stuff she's going to need, as well as ideas she needs to think of on how to use her new skills. Corvex did show a huge hole in her current skills. The lack to be able to detect magical threats, and assess them. Something she's going to have to work on.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Walking outside, or patrolling out side, or whatever a burglar does on the streets the night after pulling off one hell of a heist, Felicia is doing it. She's walking down the sidewalk wearing a pair of tight blue jeans with a white v-neck on under a tan leather jacket. Her shoes match the tan color of her jacket and she is smiling the unrequited smile of success as she spots a place that peaks her curiosity.

Felicia, wearing her blonde wig again steps into the bar and takes a deep breath of the air to try and get a quick lay of the place. You can learn a lot about the place your in based just on the first smell. Or so Luscious taught her after her dad went away.

Felicia finds it, slightly dank, but there's a taste of old cigarette smoke that can't be scrubbed out of the walls no matter how hard the owners might have tried. And she realizes then, this is a place for her. Clapping once and sliding the tips of her fingers into the utterly useless minipockets of her pants, she makes her way to the bar and claims a seat, pulling her phone out of her jacket pocket and setting it on the bartop before asking the bartender for their favorite drink to make.

Stealing a glance, Felicia spots Tynan, and gives the woman a smile and a nod of her forehead, just being courteous.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head back a bit, being friendly. As for the drinks, very few people go for any real mixed drinks here. The people here have seen so much crazy that they just try to kill the braincells that house those memories in most case. Felicia would notice that there is a chair at the bar that /nobody/ even goes near. Its the Owner's chair, even though it's just another stool at the bar. Either way, no sitting there!

Ty has some thoughts on her mind about what she's going to work on, but the problem she's having is figure out how to get it to work. Her thoughts on her next project is how to make a wave similar to radar or sonar with magic to sense people, intents, magical abilities, and other little details. To somebody like her, that info is worth more then the price of losing several jobs.

The woman sips her whiskey again, wondering if yesterday, she should have attacked. Nah, there were too many unknowns, not to mention, if it was a useelie, she had nothing on her that could have harmed it. The woman shakes her head. Pain in the arse jobs like that may end up becoming a norm for her...

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia is ever curious, as she was waiting on her drink to be made, she bats her eyes at the bartender, patiently, but trying to put that 'blonde girl' pressure on. Maybe get her drink a touch faster. Maybe not, but it can't hurt to flirt a little.

Her eyes are quickly locked onto Tynan, the woman shaking her head, and seemingly having an incredible brain wave, deep in thought about something that must be terribly important for her to have a physical reaction to it.

With a heavy thump, Felicia drops herself and her rear onto the stool next to Tynan.

"Evening cutie. That's a hell of a-" Felicia pauses, holds up her finger to her lips and purses them in thought before she squints her crystal blue eyes and then widens them in remembrance, "I want to guess boy issue, but no, you're too calm for that, so it must be work problem. Is that a work issue you're ruminating so vigorously on? Maybe I could help if you'd like."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head. "Neither here nor there.", she says. "Its not work, nor a romance issue. Not really dealing with the romance stuff until I'm in a good spot at work, which won't be for awhile.", she tells. The woman stretches a little bit. "Its a school issue. Trying to come up with an idea, but finding it hard to do.", she says. The woman shakes her head a little bit.

"Besides, I can't bring work up when I'm drinking. Leads to too many issues.", she says. The woman sighs a bit more as she finishes her whiskey, tapping the bar for another. "And you look too nice to be in a dive like this. Any reason why you're slumming it?", she asks.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I can respect that." Felicia says, giving the bartender a upnod with her chin and a motion towards Tynan and her drink. "Her next one is on me too." Felicia then turns to look back at Tynan and props her head up with her arm and elbow on the bar. "Then, I can offer to help talk school. I've been out a little while, but I have a pretty good memory. You know with two plus two still equaling four." Felicia smiles and shows off a few of her pristine teeth, looking quite comfortable. "I'm here just grabbing a drink after a great night like last night. That was a wild ride."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head a little bit. "Just toying with some ideas in my head, but not able to really focus them into a solid working idea. There's usually a few people that I could talk to about it, but none are available tonight.", she tells. Ty gets her glass, and looks at Chas a moment, and shakes her head a little bit. Chas puts the whiskey away . "Besides, I got a job to do tomorrow that I needs my wits for.", she tells. The woman stretches a little bit. "Unless you're looking to hire me for something.", she says.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I thought we weren't discussing work..." Felicia says with a lift of her eyebrow and then a look back to Chas as he brings over her a drink, it's a simple Jack and Coke with a cherry on the ice. "Oh, perfect." She says with a smile as she takes it up, takes a sip and then picks up a cherry and plucks the stem out after biting the fruit with her teeth. "I don't even know what you do, to be fair. So... what could I hire you to do?"

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head a little bit. "I've just had people come here looking to hire me for stuff.", she says. "Thought for a second you were one of them. Since you don't know what I do, its best to leave it as that.", she says. The woman grabs the glass, and takes a sip of the new whiskey. Its'll probably be her last drink of the night, given she's nursing her 4 glass. "And both my bosses don't want me to discuss what I do unless people already know what I can do. To be fair, they're not exactly the most trusting of people."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"Nope, I'm really just here for a drink, and you looked like you could use a friend, so here I am. Being friendly." Felicia says, closing her eyes and flashing that bubbly sort of grin again. "We all need people." She admits and turns back to her drink and takes another sip, this one longer and causing her shoulders to shudder from the burn.

"Whoooo." She coos softly. "And trust, is not something that comes easy. Not any more. With all these aliens and clones and robots and wild shit going on in the world. No one is genuine and if they are, they usually have the darkest most damaging secrets. So I've noticed."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty takes a second to focus her mind. She watches Felicia, and then starts to mimick her actions and motions, almost flawlessly. Each action the Felicia makes, regardless of how small it is, is mimicked almost half a second later. Just how is Ty able to do that? Who knows..."Yup. They do."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia blinks once and her eyebrows furrow softly over her head, and she then cants her head, "You copying me?" The thief asks, considering doing something outrageously flexible just to put Tynan in a bind, but she doesn't, and instead, "You've got a talent there..." Felicia notes.

"You're not like, reading my mind are you?" Felicia asks, lifting her hand, as if she were looking into a mirror and wanted to touch it.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Felicia would quickly notice that Ty's actions arn't mirrored actions, but direct copies of hers. Right hand for right hand. "Nope. Besides, even if I could read minds, many mannerisms are subconciously done to the point that a person doesn't even know when they're doing them.", she tells. The woman even cants her head in the same direction...

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia's eyes widen and then a hint of a devious smile flashes across her face briefly before her hand rises up to point an index finger at her own nose and she slowly starts to push it up into a nostril, stopping before breaching the threshold, wanting to see Tynan copy her that far. "Color me impressed." Felicia says with a bewildered look and a thought of working with this woman crossing into her mind. A second high skilled thief could make her a true legend.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head, and relaxes a bit. Her mimicking stops. "Yeah, its a cute party trick.", she tells. The woman finishes her whiskey, and breathes out. She's drank enough that the burn isn't noticable anymore. "I better not drink anymore tonight. The burn is gone.", she tells. Tynan stretches out, her joints popping a bit. "And copying too much can be a real pain.", she tells.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I'm sure." Felicia says with a smirk, as she picks up her tumbler and throws it back with her head, finishing off her cocktail and reaching in to grab the last cherry and eating that with the stem set on the bar top. "Mind if I pay for your drinks? I had a job I didn't expect last night that went far better than I dreamt of." The woman smiles and pulls out a one hundred dollar bill and stands up from her chair. "I might ask you for some work sometime. Never know when a nice copy cat is needed around the office." Felicia says with a wink before she starts towards the door.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head a bit. "Aye, just let me know a little bit ahead of time. I do have to have time to get used to certain movements, if you're going to have me copy something.", she tells. The woman stretches out a bit, and looks to Chas a bit. "I guess its cool.", she says. The woman stretches out a bit.

Jonathan Sims has posed:
Jon comes out of the /back/ door of the Magician, looking down at his phone as he goes like every damn millenial ever. He's still dressed like a damn punk, because he didn't actually bother to change, because there's fifty things to do and he'll worry about that later. So it might be an odd impression of the man, wearing ripped and patched jeans with safety pins and studs, a black t-shirt with the anarchy symbol on it, and an oversized dark green cardigan over that. He needs his cardigan, okay?

He stops at the bar, to tap it gently. "Can I get a coffee?" he asks of the bartender. "Nothing in it, just the coffee." He idly pulls out a fifty and hands it over. "Whole thing goes in the till." As if that's just. An every day occurence to him.

Then he actually looks up and scans the room, tilting his head.

Mairin Moran has posed:
Mairin glides into the Magician, her satchel full nearly to bursting with books and some kind of various oddly shaped bulky bulges that can't be identified. She immediatly stops, looks around then sighs and walks up to the bar, giving a wave to Ty. "Hey Ty, Hey Chas... Is John not here?" It's a rhetorical question and Chas treats it as such.

When she takes a seat, her eyes find Jon and they narrow in a fit of trying to remember, but she can't for the life of her remember the name and has totally forgotten he gave her a card.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty blinks a little bit as she sees Mairin. THe woman takes a deep breath. "I need that whiskey again...Merlin's little daughter is back.", she sighs as she shakes her head. The merc just puts her head on the bar. Yeah, Mairin isn't helping her mentality right now. Bad Rabbit! No carrots tonight! "I think I need to start a new tab, name, Mairin!", she declares.

Jonathan Sims has posed:
"John's busy," the other Jon says, frowning at his phone and then tucking it away. He exchanges a glance with Chas as he receives the coffee and then the big man nods and goes to leave through the back door Jon just came through. It's late enough that that won't cause /too/ much of a problem.

Jon sighs, eying both Mairin and Tynan and then the bar. "Can I get either of you anything?" Well, who the hell /else/ was going to do it?

Mairin Moran has posed:
"What have I done to you lately?" Mairin asks Ty, but the smile on her face carries through her voice even if her fellow apprentice isn't looking. "Although... I don't mind the idea of being Merlin's daughter." She looks back to Jon and shakes her head. "No thanks. Except maybe some water." She gives him another good long look. "You were here the other evening... When I was talking to Nettie, weren't you? Jon?" She's fairly certain that's the right name.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty looks at Mairin a bit. "Who was throwing fireballs last night? I can't even get the beginner level stuff done yet, and you're throwing fireballs.", she points out. "I don't even have a starting point on any spells yet.", she tells. The woman sighs a bit. "Just give me the bottle of whiskey, and charge Mairin for it!", she tells.

Jonathan Sims has posed:
Said Jon nods. "Jonathan Sims," he says. "The Archivist." Oh, he's doing it again. "We met the other day. "He picks up the coffee and then blinks slowly at the women.

"Oh good lord," he mutters. "Is this some kind of... magician's apprentice spat?" He raises a brow. He looks... tired. Too tired to have walked into the bar on people arguing about throwing fireballs, given the days he's been having.

Suddenly, he knows /exactly/ how John feels much of the time.

Mairin Moran has posed:
Mairin nods once to Jon but turns to Ty with a sympathetic expression. "I'll gladly buy you a drink, Ty. I'm sure it's just that Nettie knew I needed to have something... Anything. You already have your guns and swords and bike... And what do I have? A tiny ball of fire I'm not even sure I could do again if you asked me?"

That might be a bit of a fib, she's completely confident she could do it again. But Ty needs the boost. And she doesn't mention the Disintigrtion ray either because quite frankly she doesn't *want* to do that again.

"Trust me, you're better prepared for pretty much anything than I am."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
"Fat load of good that did me last night. I don't have cold iron, or spells to cover my arse when I have to deal with a fae.", Ty says. And the woman might be starting to slur a little bit. "I's really did a great job of dealing with the redcap. Oh, so well done. Just stand there with the shield up that may or may not works. I needs more whiskey before we talk about dis.", she says.

Jonathan Sims has posed:
Jon sighs and pulls down the bottle, then hands it over to Tynan. It's against his better judgement, but if Mairin's going to pay for it--hell, if Mairin won't /he/ will.

"So in my day job I actually... well. People talk to me. Tell me their problems. So." He hands over two glasses as well. "What happened last night?"

Mairin Moran has posed:
"Well..." Mairin starts, letting Ty pour her drink. "You remember when Nettie left? Apparently she had some reagents to gather. She told us to meet her at the shop, when we got there she was hurt and sent us to ge the last reagent by ourselves." She glances to Ty, "We both thought it was kind of a test of sorts. We had to trek through a bog at night to get some flowers."

She pushes the whisky glass away politely, and motions for a glass of water instead as Ty finishes.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty just grabs the bottle, and pushes the glass to Mairin. She frowns a bit. "Well, we succeeded, and Nettie had gotten a shapeshifter to take the form of a Redcap fae. Not a true Redcap, but well, I don't have any magic yet, but I had my MP5. Brass and copper doesn't work on Fae. Little miss La Faye here goes, and fireballs the shapeshifter.", she tells.Ty takes a long pull. "I havn't even gotten to the gathering enough energy to cast a spell yet."

Mairin Moran has posed:
Mairin shrugs just slightly to Jon. But talks to Ty. "But you kept me safe so that I *could* fireball the shapeshifter." It's a sentance she never thought in a million years that she would utter, and she knows it's just the first of many to fit that description. "I wouldn't have even ogtten there without you to lead me there."

Jonathan Sims has posed:
Jon rubs at his face for a moment. Picks up his coffee and takes a long drink. After a moment, "She's right." He nodded to Mairin. "You need defensive people involved in things as well as offensive."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head a bit. "I'm the mercenary. You're the Civilian. Think how it makes me look when a Civvie saves me from something so...tiny.", she hisses. THe woman takes a longer pull. "I was only doing my job.", she hisses. The woman mutters a bit.

Mairin Moran has posed:
"You were," Mairin agrees, leaving aside that she probably can't be considered a civvie any longer. "And you did it well. Even Nettie said so." She looks to Jon for some kind of back up. Helping people emotionally isn't her forte. "Just think how much better than me you're going to be when you *are* using magic on top of everything you know."

Jonathan Sims has posed:
"It's not a competition," Jon says. Then he pauses, and adds, slowly, "...Unless it is? I'm... not entirely aware of what's going on with Nettie and all of that."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty starts to say something, but takes a drink of the whiskey instead. She falls forward, and starts sleeping on the bar....Yup. She had a few tonight.

Mairin Moran has posed:
Mairin rubs Ty's back gently, her expression genuinly sympathetic. If there's one thing she knows about, it's feeling inadiquate.

She looks at Jon, "I'll make sure she get to the shop ok. Unless there's somehwere here she can stay?"

Jonathan Sims has posed:
"Umm... not at the moment, I don't think?" Jon goes to be sure the whiskey's paid for, and that the place is closed up as Chas asked, and then he'll head for his own chance to change and sleep.
