The Training Room... At Midnight...
Date of Scene: 18 October 2021
Location: Training Room
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Raven Darkholme, Clarice Ferguson, Lydia Dietrich

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Returning to the asteroid, one monitor was destroyed with a punch before Mystique left her room at a rapid, storming pace. Those in the hall knew exactly what that walk meant and cleared the way to the training room.

The first thirty minutes went without any kind of report from H & D, but at the forty minute mark the two started arguing in the main frame room, so that by the one hour mark it was H who sent the following message to Clarice, as the second, and Lydia, as the partner: Training room safeties removed, Mystique vitals reaching peek. Attempts to break program protocols failed, she's crafty that one!

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice's first act upon removing to the Asteroid - calling in a replacement for Mystique's monitor and making sure it was dropped off in the woman's room. She'd have to hook the thing up herself when she was ready, but it would be there and waiting for her. After that, she returned to her own room after that, trying to concentrate on her work, but not getting much done other than slowly sipping a glass of cognac to calm her own nerves. That she had her own concerns over how Kurt would feel about //her// going forward only serves to highlight the pain and anxiety she knows Raven must be suffering through.
Even if she does truly believe what she'd said earlier. Kurt is a kind and forgiving man. It would work itself out... eventually.
When she gets the message from H, she's probably only able to beat Lydia to the training room by virture of- well, cheating. She appears with a flash of purple energy just outside the door, reaching out to tap in her access code if the door doesn't slide open automatically.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia came back to the Asteroid herself after visiting Phoebe in the hospital, only to find that one of Mystique's monitors are missing and that she's apparently in the Training Room. She considers for a moment what could have possibly caused this and how to handle it.

She decides, in the end, to join Mystique in a bit of training, once she's burned off whatever it is that was bothering her, so she gets ready by putting on some workout shorts, a sports bra and a tank tee. She binds her hair up in a fuzzy ponytail and then it's just a matter of waiting an hour or so.

That hour never gets there as she's notified by H that Mystique has effectively locked herself in, and has turned off all the safety protocols. It's much worse than she expected.

She rushes over and meets Clarice at the door. "What happened?" she asks. She feels like she should be out of breath with how fast she ran, but, again, she doesn't actually need to breathe. She's still getting used to that fact.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The door is not only locked, but Clarice finds that her code won't open it.

"Workin on it is Boss Jr.," D says over the intercom in the small foyer room right before the training room. "Got the intercom to the training room working, trying to by pass, H... stop that, that won't get you in..."

"the code is fascinating!" H suddenly says.

They both hears a physical smack then D says, "Trying another route."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"We went to talk to Kurt," Clarice explains to Lydia. "He's... in a lot of pain, and doesn't approve of some of our lifestyle choices," she remarks in a dry voice. Which is a fun way of saying 'the murdering.'
To H & D she offers helpfully, "I could teleport in, if necessary. Any particular reason that would be ill-advised?" she asks them - holding out a hand to Lydia in preparation of blinking them both inside.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Oh dear," Lydia breathes quietly. That was a discussion long coming and it explains why Mystique has locked herself in the training room. "Hopefully we can get to her before she seriously injures herself." She reaches out to take Clarice's hand so that she can be blinked inside if need be.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Just as Clarice is about to use the cheaters method to enter, the door slides open.

Beyond the safety half circle inside the door, the weather is a hard core down pouring thunder and lightning storm. There are buildings that looks much like they're from a good hundred or more years ago, but there is no clear obvious sign of Mystique.

"Doors open," H states the obvious.

"Program will end in 3... 2.... 1...." D counts down and everything disappears.

Standing in the middle of the room is one crazed and pissed off looking Mystique, covered in blood and looking around for a moment like she can't figure out what just happened. She knew the twins would figure out eventually, but that was a damn sight sooner than she thought.

"What?" She asks toward the door.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Hey boss," Clarice says casually as she and Lydia stride into the room. At the sight of Mystique covered in blood, there's a brief glance towards Lydia because - yes. This //is// the first time she's seen Lydia around the presence of blood since the change, and wondering if she can handle that remains an open question in her mind.
"What's your kill count so far?" she asks, as she continues to move closer, as if nothing at all were amiss.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia wasn't expecting the scent of actual blood. She actually has to stop and close her eyes and count to ten to get herself under control from the urges that would draw her to it, and focus only on the blood. Thankfully she's been fed, and isn't hungry at all, so it's relatively easy to gain control of her instincts.

"I wish you wouldn't do this," she says, entering the room proper. "Hurt yourself like this. Punish yourself like this." She walks stiffly up to her lover, stuffing the urge to lick her clean down and away. Now's not the time for this. Once she gets there, she wraps her arms around Mystique and gives her a gentle, loving hut. "I heard what happened. I'm so sorry."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Swirling the daggers back into the tops of her boots, Mystique's eyes narrow very lightly at Clarice. "Forty-three," she answers then she is wrapped in Lydia's arms and the expression changes, softens and she sighs.

"I know you hate it Lydia, I don't know any other way to work it out. I've tried numerous things over the hundred years," she looks between the two of them. "Causing pain, feeling pain... it reminds me that I'm alive, and what I fight for."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Well. You know that I get that - to a degree," Clarice offers, giving Mystique a small, concerned smile. "And I don't blame you. But looking out for you is literally part of my job." Whatever she'd noticed of Lydia's reaction has been filed away, and hidden behind the worried expression she wears. "It's time to take a break, though, and get something to drink. Yeah?"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"I want to keep hugging you," Lydia says, releasing her lover and taking a few steps back, "But if I don't I'll end up doing something unseemly. You're irresistible." In more than one way. "I promise that once you wash up you're in store for a lot of comforting hugs and cuddles."

"But Clarice is right," she says, taking a few more steps back to the entrance. "It's time to take a break. Afterwards? I'll join you in here. See what this new body of mine is capable of."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
"H, make it rain," Mystique says to the roof and instantly the rain starts falling again because of course H & D are listening in. The rain starts to wash away the blood, giving Lydia some relief at last. After a moment she shifts her entire body and clothing, back to the jeans and sweater she had been wearing before and the blood is gone. There may be some wounds beneath the clothing, but they don't appear to be bleeding any more.

She doesn't really want to stop, she had almost reached that point of exhausted that would have allowed her to relax, but Clarice and Lydia were probably right. "Where do you want me to take my break?" she then asks, looking between them.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Don't matter to me, boss, so long as you let yourself recover a bit. It hasn't been //that// long since we pulled you out of the Deep, you know." And Clarice cannot afford to lose Mystique - for so many reasons. "We can kick everyone out of the bar and go get a drink. We can head back to your room. I can fuck off and leave you and Lydia to do your own thing..."
She gives Lydia a questioning look, to get her opinion on the subject.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia breathes easier now that the blood is gone. "The bar, I think," she says. If they were going to go back to her room she'd do it with Mystique alone, but she thinks that having Clarice around will help more.

She walks up to Mystique and gives her another hug, and this time a kiss before tugging on a hand. "C'mon. Let's get some liquor in you." She leads her out of the room, if willing. "Then after that, I've wanted to try one of those American Ninja Warrior obstacle courses, so you can watch me flail at that. Then after that, I'll give you a nice relaxing massage and then we'll cuddle until dawn."
