Synopsis: Robin catches up to Atlin to figure out who she is, and why she's so interested in Amazonian artwork.
Cast of Characters: Carrie Kelley, Atlin

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The Casino was well wrapped up. The customers, dubious or not, were already out of the door and out of sight. Out of danger and vanished into the night. The police sirens weren't far off, and the stragglers of 'Zeus' were down and out along with him. Now as the time as Robin knew to get the heck out of dodge and let the police do their thing. Hopefully they'd do it RIGHT.

Having seen the other woman that was fighting snatch the vase, she follows after outside. The cooler night air hits with a fresh relief after that workout though she was thankfully still energized by it, too. Now she tries to keep sight of the woman racing to catch up to the taller Amazon. She wanted to know why that vase was so important.

Atlin has posed:
With the casino broken down, Atlin was away from the police rather swiftly. Without any really identity and her own limited knowledge...well, it raised more questions than she really wanted to deal with. That and her contact had asked her to stay out of trouble...something she'd somewhat failed at thus far! Keeping the vase tucked under her arms, the tanned woman in the business-wear that wasn't really cut for her lept deftly between rooftops and over obstacles as she made her way further and further under cover of darkness.

Where was she headed? Even Atlin wasn't quite sure yet. But -away- seemed like the best first bet right now!

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Robin leaps along the rooftops with the occasional aid of the grapple, but only when necessary. This was an old run she was far too familiar with. These rooftops were where she grew up. When they're far enough away she calls out, "It's okay to stop now!" In hopes the woman would. Just in case she keeps close though trying to catch a better sight of her now that they weren't in the mostly pitch of the Casino.

"Who *are* you?"

Atlin has posed:
If nothing else, Atlin wasn't expecting to be followed...not at this route anyway. When the voice calls out? She's already moving, shifting to coil and leap for the next rooftop only to turn and skid a little on her shoes before she turns to face the girl chasing her with a frown.

"You fought against that man's who thought himself a god...why do you follow me?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Robin lands easily looking quite a bit smaller than the woman she followed. She was. Even so she tips her head back to regard the now-stopped woman to flash her a vague smile. Given the way she spoke, the somewhat archaic formal nature, she opts to skip the slang and jokes for the moment when responding. "I'm one of the guardians of this city," she explains with a tip of her head. "And I'm curious to know why you were fighting him as well. I'm also curious about that vase... If you've a moment to explain," she adds, "We're far enough away now that the police won't bother us at all."

Atlin has posed:
It was perhaps a little judgemental, how assessing Atlin's gaze was as it swept up and down the other woman who looked similar in age to her...but was in quite the bright costume! There's a tilt of her head, a consideration for a moment as to how seriously she'd take the 'bird', but the Amazon nods slowly and shifts her stance, holding the vase against her midriff in front of her.

"This artwork belongs to my...family. That man stole it, looted it from somewhere...and he was a pretender, believing himself a false god."

A beat, the woman's shoulders shrug. "I found that...unpleasent."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Oh, yeah, he's a nutjob. I've met actual gods," Robin agrees with a solemn nod of her head. The suit was bright, yes, and yet somehow... She managed. It helped when the cape settled around her a bit as the exterior at least is black. Now that Atlin had stopped moving she could view the vase held by her to note the detail.

"Amazonian?" She inquires putting a few things together with a nod. "Yes, that should get back to where it belongs, then. The Thymescrian Embassy would probably be the place to start for that." Glancing back up to the taller woman she inclines her head toward her a single time. Not a bow but a nod of deference and acceptance of the story. "I'm Robin. Thanks for the help back there." Even if... well. They were there for different reasons.

Atlin has posed:
A blink, Atlin actually tilts her head at that. Not exactly the standard response in Man's world from someone at the mention of gods, but none the less the Amazon will take it. Holding the ceramics depicting the heroine close, the tanned girl lifts one hand to gesture to herself.

"I am Atlin," she offers in introduction returned, only a light blink of her features suggesting her suprise at being so easily guessed as an Amazon...but then, she was newly into the rest of the world...and they'd had one hell of an example of her people out there.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
At the apparent surprise Robin chuckles softly. "A pleasure to meet you, Atlin. Those of us who are in this line of business, as it were," she reaches up to tap the side of her mask in indication. "Are usually a bit more aware of what goes on in this world than others." It's offered as an explanation for her apparent knowledge of things that were more godly. A small one at least.

"Are you new to the city? Or just visiting in general to reclaim your homeland's property?"

Atlin has posed:
"I...see..." Atlin's lips are a frown, but perhaps the woman is simply a more serious sort? Truth be told, her preparations for coming to the broader world had quickly been found to be woeful, now the blonde wasn't entirely sure she knew nearly as much as she thought she did. "I am an Emissary," she speaks after a moment, biting her lip. "I was not sent to retrieve things like this, merely to see this world and protect our interests. But well.." She might...actually be blushing.

"Opportunity struck."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"There's no harm in taking an oportunity when you see it. Better than letting it pass by and regreting it later," Robin points out with a chuckle. "Well then. I'm glad you were able to get what you need. If you need help with anything else, I'd be happy to assist. Although I'm sure you're equally capable on your own," she adds with a knowing grin.

"It never hurts to have friends out here. And it's probably a good thing I ran into you tonight instead of my brothers. They're more enlightened than a lot of guys, but they do still tend to jump the gun at times."

Atlin has posed:
"Actually...there is something you can help me with." A pause, that frown shifts as she looks down to the treasure in her hand. "I...arrived here by train and am uncertain as to where I could find lodging for the evening." Yep, an amazon warrior meeting one of the Bat family...and she's asking for directions. Giving a little akward shift where she stands, the blonde shrugs her shoulders. "I would travel back to New York immediately, but I am to understand that the trains do not leave at a passenger's request."

Day 4, at least she was starting to figure out public transport!

Carrie Kelley has posed:
At that, Robin grins. "Yeah they tend to run on a schedule to get as many passengers as possible at one time. It's confusing if you're not from the city." Hell even city dwellers had trouble with the public transit half the time! Darn thing was always changing. "There is a hotel not too far from here. I know the owner. I can call in a favor and get you a room set up for the evening. Although," she adds pointing to the vase.

"It may look suspicious walking in with that. If you'd like I could bring it somewhere of your choosing to get at a later time."

Atlin has posed:
"Perhaps...a bag or something to hide it in?" Atlin muses, tilting her head to the side. She wasn't exactly some master thief either, clearly. Still having the vase taken from her wasn't something she was hugely keen on, but...it might work. "There is a location, an office in New York. If it can be sent there, I can collect it safely..." Even so, there's a moment of clear doubt and consideration as she looks down at the artwork. It had only just been found after all!

"Please make sure it gets there...or I will have to come find out why it did not."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"You have my word," Robin assures as she dips her head again. With that she extends her hands to take the vase, but allows Atlin to be the one to place it in her grasp. "I'll get you set up at the hotel and show you the way, too," she adds.
