Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Roxxi Smith, Robert Marksman, Logan Howlett, Madelyne Pryor

Roxxi Smith has posed:
It isn't quite Evening, but after school on a Thursday night. Roxxi managed to conjole Logan into driving her to Bushwick, or better known as Mutant Town. The Mission? Finding a Halloween costume. Yes, she waited almost to last minute, but she's never had a costume before, not one that was new. They'd been poorly home-made, or threadbare hand-me-downs
So there she was, with Beast Boy Green space buns, and her otherwise typical attire of cargo pants, boots, and a Misfits tee. She skipped out of a store, searching for her escort, a small shopping bag in hand. Certainly not big enough for a costume.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman is out and about in the neighborhood. He has stopped at the Mootant town, and grabbed some food and a milkshake. So now, he is sitting at one of the outside table, relaxing people watching. As he sees this or that person he offers a nod or a wave.

Logan Howlett has posed:
For the most part as Roxxi shopped, Logan got himself a milkshake, checked out a store or two, and was now sitting on the hood of his truck, smoking a cigar and sipping at the shake. When it came to the students, it didn't take much for them to cajole him into any thing. Trips to town, rides to stores, even chaperoning random dates and keeping a distance so they could actually have a date. Some would say that make him a sucker, but he put it all down to actually caring and trying to give these kids a some what normal life.

He wore his usual, a pair of jeans and brown hiking boots. A white tshirt tucked in with a red and black flannel over the top. Since it was fall, he added his leather jacket for the warmth.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor is dressed in comfortable alt attire: A biker jacket, her black Superman T shirt, nice tight faded jeans and thigh high boots with block heels you can actually run in. She's wearing black ray bans, and she has a nostril stud on the left side of her nose. Being ironic, she wears an official (c) White Wolf Camarilla ankh, for a touch of trash when she LARPED as a teen back in Metropolis.
She's just gotten done moving in. Mutant town still has high rents due to the effects of gentrification, but she was able to find an OK studio off near Atlantic Avenue and the C line. She has to be able to commute out to JFK to keep working for Summers freight.
But right now, its time to hunt for a coffee shop and take a break.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi slips past Mootant Milkshakes and skids to a halt. Mm, Milkshake, now there was a plan. Before she did that, she'd first have to check in with the babysitter. She turned to the parking lot and spotted the be-flanneled man perched on the hood of his truck.
Roxxi started her engines once more when the flash of red hair caught her eye. Green eyes peered curiously at Madelyne for a moment, taking in her cool appearance, before offering a frenetic wave. She then continued towards the truck, calling out to Logan before she even made it halfway. "Should I be a Unicorn or Harley Quinn?"

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman looks over the rough guy the young girl and the red head. He has perhaps seen the rough guy around a few times, but the others are new. He will just keep an eye on them for now, said eyes hidden behind his sunglasses.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor takes a seat at Mootant Milkshakes a gets a mocha caffeine superbomb. She finds a seat at a table, and pulls out her Ipad. She lowers her shades and checks out Roxxi. Why was the girl waving at her? Of course, she also immediately recognizes the famous Wolverine. She finger wiggles back to Roxxi.

Logan Howlett has posed:
Of course Logan's eyes are drawn to the red head and in that exact same moment he is sliding off the hood of the truck, leaving the shake sitting there. Scent and visual say Jean, scream Jean, but body language, walk and clothing say not. This was definitely something to keep an eye on, watch from a distance, but be ready because there was no way to be certain what was going on.

"Well kid," he calls back to Roxxi, turning blue eyes to look her way before slowly starting to walk in her direction. His very nature screamed something wasn't right, so he wanted to get himself to the kid quickly without alarming her. "Which sounds like more fun to ya, or are ya down to those two choices and just looking for votes?"

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi may have a few screws loose, but her situational awareness is excellent. She turns to look over at the tables once more. Robert does not get spared the sunrise smile and hyper wave, as he receives his own random greeting. As do an elderly couple with a yappy terrier mix. Roxxi almost stops at the dog, but remembers she's talking to Logan. Of minor note is the argyle sock draped from a belt loop.    "The last one. Votes!" Roxxi tells Logan with a bright laugh.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman 's phone beeps, and he pulls it out looking at it. He sighs and puts his food back into the container, nods to the girl as he stands up. He heads over towards the clinic walking inside it.

Logan Howlett has posed:
Reaching Roxxi, Logan offers her a smile as he falls into step with her toward Mootant Milkshakes.

"Well, if you're just looking for votes," he ponders, keeping his eyes on not-Jean. "Harley's not really a good choice, so my vote would be Unicorn. You getting a shake?"

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor tells the waitress that she will cover Logan and Roxxi's drinks. She makes a come hither to the couple, pointing at the two open seats at her table.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi can feel... It's not quite tension, but a sort of coiled readiness, from Logan. She squints at him quizzically but mostly stays on topic as far as their conversation goes. "You don't think Harley's good? But she's not a bad guy anymore!" She announces, spinning on the ball of one foot in a sudden pirouette. "Well, okay, maybe a unicorn. And yes, milkshake and french fries!"
Roxxi, despite her effusive manner, remains alert to their surroundings, and it doesn't take long to hone in on the gesturing redhead. Nose crinkles as Roxxi tugs on Logan's arm. "She kinda looks like the Head Mistress!" The teen observes, after a better look at the other woman.

Logan Howlett has posed:
Logan glances to Roxxi a moment at the tug on his arm, "More than looks like her," he comments quietly, then at the gesture from her, starts to head that way.

"May be true that Harley's not bad any more, but her 'costume'," there is a pause here for his brain to find the appropriate word to use with an eighteen year old girl that isn't the word slutty. "Not somethin I think a young lady should be wearing."

Before reaching the table where Madelyne sits, a few feet away, he stops and keeps Roxxi from stepping past as well. "Got a name?" He asks, trying not to sound like he's already judging the woman, but he is. That was Jean sitting there, but he knew it wasn't.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor smiles delightedly. "That's a good question to ask, Mr. Logan. I'm one of your new students. My name is Madelyne Pryor. I think I'll be in some of your classes in the upcoming term. You can both call me Madelyne or Maddie. And no, I'm not, never have been and never will be Jean Grey. You're from the school and didn't call out "Jean!" so, plus 10 points. I am a real girl. Please, sit down. And hi! What's your name?" This last is directed to Roxxie.

Roxxi Smith has posed:
"Ooooooh!" Roxxi draws out exaggeratingly. "Not that outfit. the //ooold// one. The bodysuit, with the jester hat!" Roxxi likes the retro look. She falls quiet, however, as Logan stops at the redhead's table.
Roxxi mostly doesn't listen to what's being said, scuffing her booted toe against the ground. However, as Maddie introduces herself, the green-haired teen tunes back in. She offers a bright smile, and extends a hand for a vigorous shake if Madelyne takes it.
"Hi Maddie! I'm Roxxi." Roxxi then sits, perhaps to Logan's chagrin.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor takes it vigrously. "Pleased to meet you Roxxie. You mean like what Harley Quinn wore when she was dating the Joker? You go for it. Or do your own mix. Don't let anyone police your sartorial choices. I sure as hell don't. Just be aware of what you're trying to communicate. Is this for a Halloween party?"

Logan Howlett has posed:
The hair on the back of Logan's neck stands up. He loathed so much that this woman knew his name, but then again he should expect it by this point in life. There were a few places left where he wasn't recognized, Bushwick would not be one of them.

"Old one?" He says to Roxxi then, for the moment focusing on that. "Definitely go as Harley then."

Stepping over to the table now, he pulls the chair Roxxi chose so she is as far from Madelyne as possible and still be at the table, while he settles into one without care of how close he is or not. "Knew you weren't Jean," he then says to Madelyne. "Look the same, smell the same, still ain't her, which is pretty damn obvious. Say you're headed to the school huh?"

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi nods emphatically at Maddie's sage word. "Oh no. Muffins and me love to dress our own way. We never listen to anybody!" She then pauses for breath before continuing. "I mean, now that I have more clothes, it's easier."
As her chair gets pulled, Roxxie laughs and clings to the sides of the chair. "Hey! So if you look like, and smell like the headmistress, do you have the same, power?" It still felt odd for the teen, to speak openly about such things. "I think someone told me she was a powerful psychic."

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor sips her mocha bomb. "I'm a little bit of a peculiar situation. Can I call you Logan? I fucking *adore* that when you look at me, you don't see Jean. Its not her fault that I was created off of her genetic template - I love being an attractive red head - but when people call me Jean, it feels like they are erasing me." In response to Roxxie - "Hank McCoy is running tests on me, but yeah, I'm largely a telekine and telepath. Its been kind of mind blowing but I dig it. Of course, I'm no where near as good as her, since she's had her powers most of her life. But I'm me. I already have a degree, but I want to develop my own style with my mutant powers. And I don't have a code name yet. I think I might want to be back end support. I'm more of an infrastructure person - you guys need a professional pilot for that big black plane of yours."

Logan Howlett has posed:
Logan waves the waitress over to get Roxxi's order, he just goes for some coffee this time. The shake on the hood of his truck will melt, he doesn't care. The cigar had gone out, but it stays in hand in case he wants to light it again, which most likely won't happen as Roxxi is there. He's an ass, but never to the kids.

"It's my name, so... sure." He replies, crossing his leg, right ankle to left knee. "It ain't intentional for people to not know, ain't their fault you look like someone they know, and sure in the f...ick doesn't erase you. Just a mistake, they happen. Ya nothin like Jean, despite the look."

Glancing to Roxxi a moment, noting her body language and relaxed state, he seems to attempt to relax a little himself... but really the man is never relaxed in public. "Ororo and Rogue both pilot the Black Bird, but another pilot's never a bad thing. It'll take a bit before you join the team though. Gotta have full control of your abilities, hours of training with the team, stupid fucking uniforms." He didn't catch his own language there, that opinion needed the F bomb. "All that is possible of course."

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi stares at Maddie as the other woman speaks, jaw hanging a little lax. She's still only a student, and while she knows //of// the X-men, their connection with the school is still a bit vague. Nonetheless, she listens, enrapt.
As Logan tries to curb his language, the teen can only giggle. Having been a street kid for a bit over a year, she'd heard so much worse. She grins at her chaperone and leans over for a spontaneous side hug.
"What's your degree in?" She asks Madelyne, her thought process as linear as a butterfly's flight path.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor smiles again and laughs at Logan's comment about costumes. "I'll wear what I want, and it might not be a good idea for me to be throwing punches with the spandex crowd. I'll leave that to you professionals. I just want to understand what I can do so I don't hurt people and things around me and be able to handle myself. We'll see where things go. Have you heard of someone named 'Nathaniel Essex'?"

Logan Howlett has posed:
The side hug makes Logan raise one brow, not entirely certain what it was for, but he'll take it. Kids get away with that sort of things, without so much as making him twitch. However, at the mention of Essex, he sits up straighter as he sneers, almost growling but he manages to keep that in check.

"Yeeeah," he mutters darkly. "I know about Essex. Under normal circumstances I'd say that's not the sort of thing to talk about around the kids, but Roxxi here is an adult by law, so feel free."

Roxxi Smith has posed:
Roxxi might be an adult by law, but she had the attention span of a kitten. She also had no idea of whom they were speaking. So she waited long enough to get her fries in a shake, and it was while she was eating said snacks, that she spotted another store with costumes. This one, with the harlequin-styled unitard displayed in the window.
Taking fries and shake with her, she leaped to her feet, "I think I'll try that store!" She announced. She then paused only long enough to wave, and then shout 'Bye Maddie!' over her shoulder as Roxxi rushed for the next Shop.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor finger wiggles to Roxxi. She stands up and settles the bill. "I need to get moving myself. See you in Westchester, both of you. Its better that we don't talk this Essex crap in public. Be seeing you, Logan. Take care, Roxxi!" With that she heads to the C train.
