Cast of Characters: Heather Danielson, Susan Sullivan

Heather Danielson has posed:
It's a nice cool afternoon in Central Park. The sun is out, and so it might feel a touch warmer than it might otherwise seem. It's one last hurrah for people wanting to spend time outdoors. The changing colors of the leaves sets the stage for a beautiful autumn day.

Heather is out here today, dressed in a windbreaker over workout clothes. This as she is out for a jog through the park. With her metabolism, she is able to push herself harder, longer... so it's not a jog. It is a dead run that she is charging through the jogging paths of the park. Her breathing grows heavy, but not past that as her body recovers even as she pushes it. Sometimes, she hates her healing factor. Sometimes she loves it.

But the fact that she needs to eat so much to fuel her powers is both a blessing and a curse. So she passes by a food cart.. and then skids to a stop as soon as the smell of the food reaches her nostrils. She turns to face the cart and smiles as she finds herself drawn back. It's an older man.. Giuseppe who sells gyro's in the park... and so she prepares to get a couple of those fantastic snacks.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
It is right around there, paused from her run, that Heather may spot a woman in a hoodie and black jeans doing something that looks like Tai Chi. She's bundled up and also wearing a skull-themed gas mask. The sun pours down on her, and there's a squirrel sniffing around at her feet, just being a squirrel as if she's nothing to fear. The whole sight is a mixture of juxtapositions and odd, out of place elements. At one point, a distant dog barking spooks the squirrel who runs up the woman's body. This distracts her.
"Hey!" she says, playfully. "I'm not a tree," she adds, carefully and gently scooping up the surprised squirrel and carrying it to a tree. With some coaxing, she gets the squirrel to transfer over to the bark. It just looks profoundly confused before rushing up into the many branches. The woman goes back to where she was and resumes her slow martial arts.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Tai Chi. Something Heather has heard of and known about. She doesn't perform it herself.. she's been learning some of the more basic defensive routines. Well, defensive only as in putting down one's attacker is the best way to defend others at times. She's hired an ex Mossad operative to teach her some of his Krav Maga lately, and that has given her some appreciation of other techniques.

She gets her two overfilled gyros, pay for them... and turns to carry them over towards the Tai Chi practitioner. She finds a bench and sits down to set her gyro's down before picking one back up and taking a large bite. As she does so, she studies the girl in the gas mask. The squirrel trick makes her smile however... but she's not exactly subtle about observing.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
The woman's eyes close as she's watched. A bird flies down to land on her head, then takes off as the woman unexpectedly moves. She's just...a part of the park as far as the nature in the park is concerned. Without stopping her movements, she asks, "Is one of those for me?"

Heather Danielson has posed:
Chewing, Heather swallows forcefully so that she can respond. She opens her mouth, then blushes and reaches for a bottle of water to take a gulp and wash down the large oversized bite. Then she finally responds, "I suppose it -could- be. I can always go get another one. Do you like lamb and feta with tomatoes and other sauce? Greek food is amazing." she adds.

Then she takes another bite of her first gyro and gestures to the spare one. "You are welcome to it if you are hungry." she adds generously.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
The woman stops and faces her watcher. She shakes her head and softly says, "No, thank you. I just didn't want to be rude if you bought me one. Your metabolism must be the envy of all your friends. I wish I could eat that much and still look as good as you do."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"And I wish that I could get away with not having to eat so much all the time." offers Heather. I mean sure, she enjoys eating. But there are times when she can't last very long without needing -something-.

She takes another large bite, washing it down after chewing thoroughly. But she reaches to move the second gyor to make some space. "You're welcome to join me if you like. But again, I don't want you to feel pressured to join me. I must admit to curiosity about one or two things."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
The other moves with a bit of a jog to the bench and sits where offered. "Thank you," she says, cheerfully. "I wouldn't turn down such a kind offer. It feels like everyone's so quick to push people away. A kind woman like you? I'll happily take an invitation to sit and talk." She pulls her legs up into the bench with her and sits in a lotus position. "Do you have a very active lifestyle, or does your metabolism just run super hot?" she asks, curious about the other.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Lifting one hand, Heather wobbles it back and forth, "A little from column A, a little from column B." she adds before she shrugs and offers a hand, "Heather." she says, "My name that is."

"May I ask about..." she begins, gesturing to the gas mask. "It's not like the air out here is dangerous... well, not more than usual in New York."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Demona," Demona says, bowing without shaking Heather's hand. "Other people can find me a little unsettling. I have something akin to a skin condition, let's say. Besides, this helps keep my face warm." She smiles so broadly, it's visible in her very expressive eyes.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Chuckling, Heather matches the smile with one of her own. It might be unusual, but that smile is not much like the one she uses when she is modeling. There are smiles for the cameras, and then smiles for pure happiness that she finds when talking to people. She -loves- meeting new people. She especially loves when they have no idea who she is. That's rare these days.

But she actually laughs softly and shakes her head, "It keeps... your face warm." she intones, "That is unusual. I'm weird, if the air feels warm on my skin, it's too hot. If it feels cool, it's perfect."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"I don't eat much," Demona says in the understatement of the century. "I guess that's the difference between our metabolisms, huh?" She shrugs. "That's also why I don't shake hands with people often. My hands are always super cold. I like to try to not wig people out."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Nodding her head, Heather smirks, "My daddy always called me the Human Heater." She shrugs, "It can be snowing out and my hands will be warm. But... that was even before my metabolism went off the charts. Must be the nordic blood, eh?" she asks as she stuffs the last bite of that first gyro into her mouth and chews with cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"You're like Elsa," Demona says. "Cold doesn't bother either of you." She smirks. "You have ice powers?" she asks.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Shaking her head, Heather laughs, "No. I do like making snowmen though." she adds with a shrug, "And I wish I had a kid sister. Only child here." she adds as she swallows and reaches for gyro number two. "Ice powers would be awesome though, wouldn't they?" she adds

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Probably!" Demona says. "When I was growing up, I always wanted to be Belle, only be more involved in my dad's weird inventions. I'm an artificer, not an ice mage," she clarifies with a smile. "If you ever want to make a snowman, I will absolutely join you for that, time permitting."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Assuming there's snow to work with." offers Heather. She shakes her head and chuckles before taking another bite. "I feel like I hit the super power lotto though." she admits with a shrug, "Super healing and super strength. I may not look it, but I can lift several tons over my head... not without some pain, but pain I can deal with. It heals so fast it's like it never hurt in the first place."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Woah!" Demona says. "You're a super hero? That's so cool! I'm just kind of a mechanic and engineer and stuff. I would love to build something like Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, but he's a bit beyond my tech level, tools-wise."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"I also think that the only way to really make a ton of money, is to have a ton of money to spend on whatever it is will make you that money. It's a sad truth that it costs money to make money. But.. I'm no businesswoman." admits Heather, "I was lucky enough to market my way into the Titans though."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Okay," Demona says. "You're a rich Titan." She puts on a bit of sass as she crosses her arms. "Are you showing off, right now?" she asks, playfully.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Er.. that wasn't the intent, no." says Heather as she shakes her head. "Just sayin' that I had good fortune in things." she sighs and shrugs, "I apologize if I sounded boastful. So tell me Demona, what can I do to help you out?" she asks.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Demona is taken aback by the request. "I mean," Demona says, hesitantly. "That's kind of a big question," she admits. "There's a lot of things I want, but not much I need. I'd love to have access to a big, well-equipped makerspace, I would love to meet Cyborg, I kind of want to make super gear for someone...but really, I don't NEED anything."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Fair point." offers Heather with a shrug, "I'm not exactly in the market for super gear. But... do you have any examples or designs for stuff you could make if you had access to funds and a lab?" she asks.

"As for Cyborg, I could ask him, but I can't speak for the guy."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Yeah, fair," Demona says. She considers. "Honestly, all I've done is prop duplication on my own. I did some reverse-engineering on something vaguely similar to an arc reactor, but that's not really my design." She shrugs. "I'm not sure. The need hasn't presented itself, nor the equipment, so I haven't really given it too much thought. Is there anything YOU need that I could make?"

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Well, about the only thing I could think of that'd be helpful to me is some way to do clothing changes on the fly. Like something that can turn into my uniform or street clothes when needed." suggests Heather. Yes, the fashion model wants to be able to stop shopping? Weird.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Demona considers for a moment. "I guess you could use holograms," she says. "I don't know how those work, and I am NOT good with software, but that's about the only thing I can think of that will get you what you want on the fly." She looks Heather in the eyes and says, "I'm willing to give it a shot. It'd test my limits, but if I don't keep growing and learning, I'll be left behind."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Wincing, Heather shakes her head, "Holograms sound okay. Right up until they turn off and you're naked in front of a thousand camera phones." she remarks. "But if you had some way to work with.. oh what's it called.. programmable matter or nanotech... I know, that's super expensive cutting edge stuff. I could help with funding though. My career has given me more than enough money, and I'd love to use it to help someone achieve something."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"I don't know how you'd project holograms while naked," Demona says, tilting her head to the side, trying to picture it. "You'd have to have probably a full-body suit, honestly. Nano-bots would be fun to work with. Or microbots. Not microscopic in scale. The texture would be hard to change, but if you are okay with wearing a suit to help them orient themselves, I think I could figure out how to do that. Ooh!" she says. "I think I could make artificial chromatophores, too! You could color-coordinated in your microbot outfit! It might look like angular sequins all the time. Very scifi look."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Head tilting, Heather snickers, "Fair point about the holograms. Yeah... they'd need some surface to work from. See? This is why I am not the science type. I just punch things, get shot, and do PR." she states as she shakes her head. "But you tell me what you need for the work, research, and production, and I'll fund it."

She reaches into a pocket and pulls out a business card. HEATHER DANIELSON, TITAN, PHILANTHROPIST... with email and phone number attached. This is handed over.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Demona takes it. "Do you mind if I bring in some people to form a think tank if I don't spread your contact info around?" she asks. "Like I said, I'm going to need help with software."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Sure. Bring in your own people and I'd love to meet'em. Maybe we can be a whole side company. Hell, maybe we could start a company selling custom uniforms to the hero community." suggests Heather as her brain starts dreaming

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Yeah!" Demona says. She pulls out her phone and enthusiastically enters Heather's contact info off the card. "You're the first person to really make me feel excited in a while," she says. "I'll talk to my people and get a meeting set up. We'll try to figure out a prototype." She hops up from her seat, seemingly without using her legs. She waves. "I'm going to get started on this right away!" she says. "It was nice meeting you, Heather!"

Heather Danielson has posed:
Grinning, Heather finishes her second Gyro. She loves the girl's enthusiasm. One of her favorite things is making people excited like that. So she lifts a hand to wave. "Nice meeting you too. Don't hesitate to call me."
