Madigan Belle has posed:
What can be said about Madi is that she definitely fits a cliche. She's a nerd, she wears glasses, and she's in a library. That's all on brand. Right now, with her sleeves coming down a bit over her hands, she's pulling on them with her fingers as she looks over a row of books. She may be deep in thought, what with how she's biting the tip of her tongue, her thinned eyebrows are furrowed, and she's got a small amount of squint to her eyes. "Okay, no, not that one, could be... no, okay. Hmmm. What about..." she's turning her head to look further down the aisle, "No. I might... that one though... yeah. That's probably what I'm looking for, but..."

Talking to herself, aloud, in a library might be some kind of cardinal sin, but she's doing it. Looking at a row of books higher than her small framed self can get, she moves forward with her crutch bracing her and her leg braces helping to keep her upright. She is reaching, and reaching, and can't quite get to the book she's after.

Hellboy has posed:
If a hush could fall over a library, it would as the front door opens. The clickety clack of keyboard keys and the incessent clicking of internet browsing and the flipping through pages and the soft conversations with the librarians--all of it ceases as the door reveals a patron. Deep, thumping footsteps muffled by carpet carry Hellboy across the floor. He follows the labels of the dewey decimal system like a pro, possibly because he's used to reading from before the internet was a thing.
He stands at the end of the row of books, nearly blocking out the light as he looms over Madi. His deep footsteps thump, thump, thump as he approaches her. He stands right next to her, towering as he looks down upon the cutely nerdy girl. "Excuse me," he growls in a deep voice. With his left hand, he carefully slides a book out and sets it in his stony right hand. The fingers of his Right Hand of Doom are extended like a shovel to hold the books he plops into them in layer after layer, stacking them up. They're nonfiction books along the lines of 'haunted this' or 'sacred that'. After loading his hand full, he turns and walks off, leaving Madi in peace.

Madigan Belle has posed:
Big, bright eyes, go wide as Madi turns her head to see... Hellboy? She looks him up and down, real quick, without hiding it. "Wow! Oh my goodness, you even have a tail? That's cool. I wish I had a tail. That'd be really convenient. Can you grab things with it? Are you able... oh, sorry." She scrunches up her face behind the glasses as she rambles on quickly, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to just immediately be asking about the tail, but you know, no brain lip barrier." She points to her head, then to her mouth, and then using her index finger points back and forth semi-quickly, "Just boom, out it spews. What book is that? Are you here for something in particular? This section is pretty esoteric, medieval architecture and torture devices, mostly. I mean, I was looking for the one up there, because it talks about mixing blood of supernatural beings in with mortals and what kind of wacko results occur." She chuckles a moment, and lets her head bop back and forth a moment with the laughter, "Just a passion of mine. You?"

Silence. For just long enough to give someone else a chance to speak before she pops back in with, "I'm Madigan. Madi, for short."

Hellboy has posed:
And off he walks, as specified. He does turn, however, and put his left index finger to his lips. "Shhh," he says in that deep voice that carries. "Library." He turns to face forward and continues that slow pace of his. He turns and walks farther into the library, likely to find somewhere quiet and isolated to sit and look through the books he's picked out.

Madigan Belle has posed:
"Wait, hey..." And Madigan pouts, furiously, at the shhing. Though she smiles soon after that, can't keep an optimist down. She starts to follow, distracted from whatever book she was seeking, and doing her slow movements after Hellboy. Her leg braces help her keep upright but she has to rock her hips while balancing with the one crutch to keep her movement going, this makes her slow to follow.

Once he finds a place isolated, and sitting, Madigan is there a few minutes later, she never losing track of him despite being far behind. Then she slumps into a seat next to him, probably some comfy chairs in a corner somewhere, and flbbbbbs with her lips in an exhale. "You go quick, I might've thought you were afraid of me. I'm not offended though, I can be scaaaAAaAAAAry." She holds up her hands, fingers in fake claw like positions as she waves them up and down, with her eyes wide, trying to be creepy. "So, your name is Library? You look like that fellow investigator person on the tv sometimes. I mean, are there a lot of big red people with your fashion statement wandering about? I think not."

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy smiles. "You talk faster than I can think," Hellboy says. "But you're super cute, so I'll allow it." He holds up the books in one hand he's stacked there. "You wanna help me find weird artifacts that might be real?"

Madigan Belle has posed:
Pausing a moment, Madigan quirks her mouth to the side then brings her hands down, "Well, I was going for scary. Jeeeeeez." She lets her eyes get big a moment in faux indignation. Then she smiles big, "Reading through books? Of course." She wonders, and taps her finger tip to her lower lip, "Are you looking for a second big arm? Or a second small arm? I mean, that's gotta be real tough on clothing fits. Couldn't even imagine. I find it hard enough to get clothes in my size that aren't in the teen section. And I'm, similarly armed."

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy smirks. "Very cute," he repeats. "I want assistance. I have people who help me find clothes that fit," he says, being appropriately vague about things. "You talk fast because you think fast, or are you just nervous?"

Madigan Belle has posed:
"Nervous?" Madi scoffs a bit at that, and just laughs a little, shaking her head, "Is there a reason to be nervous? Ever? I mean, you are super cool looking. Not to be ... you know, what's the phrase, skin deep and all, but skin is super interesting all on its own. Inside and out." She pauses and then offers, "I don't talk -that- fast, I just talk kinda fast. Like I said, brain lips problem. You know, you think something, and then there's the whole sloooooooooowwwwwwiiiiiinnnnnnng down" she extends the word out as long as she can, before continuing, "Process so that you can determine. Good, bad? Do it, don't do it? Say it don't say it? I just go the efficient route, and BAM. Talking."

Then she beams a moment, "You think I'm cute? I love compliments, so I'll take it." She points her finger right at Hellboy, and does one of those finger gun things with a wink that are so cool when cowboys do it.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy furrows his heavy brow a bit as he tries to follow all of the words that Madi has dumped on him. He looks more weighed down by that than the books. He reaches out with his left hand and gently wraps it entirely around her finger-gun hand. "Hey," he says, pinning her with his powerful gaze. "Don't let it go to your head. Super cute only goes so far." He lets go of her hand and lifts up the stack of books. "You want to help or not?"

Madigan Belle has posed:
With Hellboy's hand coming over her own, Madigan looks at it curiously. She's turning her head to the side and looks over the hand around her own, "Yep, definitely bigger." Then she looks up from the hands and says, "Yes. I'll help. I was just trying to guess at the helping, anything I'd be looking for specifically? I'm a pretty quick reader." She says, using her free hand to push up on her classes, and saying, "Nerd." Directed at herself.

Hellboy has posed:
"I told you," Hellboy says, much more slowly than the girl had been talking. "Relics, artifacts, haunted items, or whatever else along those lines that might be real. I have a personal project I'm working on."

Madigan Belle has posed:
"Uh, yeah, I remember that." Madigan smirks after talking, "I was just wondering if it was specific to something? You know, like armor, or a sword, or a real old... coffee pot, or something specific like that. So, it sounds like, no, just anything that might of really existed." She holds out a hand, "Start passin' the books. Are those the only books you need looked through?"

Hellboy has posed:
"I actually need it to still exist," Hellboy says, picking up a book and handing it to her. "If you know of other books that might help, I'm willing to look. This isn't an easy quest. I just picked books that looked like they maybe should have something to do with it based on titles." He shrugs. "I might not be the best person to do research." He lifts another book off the pile and puts it on his lap. He has to do almost everything with his left hand. His right hand is currently loaded with books (and would almost certainly tear, crush, or otherwise destroy library property).

Madigan Belle has posed:
There's a soft, "Oooooooooh, it's a life or death quest?" Madigan asks Hellboy as she turns to him, easily distracted, and she lets her mouth open up, jaw literally dropping, with her eyes opening up some more in aww. "That is -so- cool." With that she looks at the book in front of her and starts flipping through the pages, getting through dozens of pages in a handful of seconds. "So, what do you like to do when you aren't, you know, investigating your own mortality?" Her hands, despite the speed, move through the pages with some easy finesse that doesn't risk tearing. "Do you want to just memorize all the various artifacts and then review with you at the end? There's already some showing some signs of realness but nothing like an eternal life chalice or something. I'm not very up on the right lingo for this stuff."

Hellboy has posed:
"That's not what this is," Hellboy says, calmly. He stops trying to turn the pages in his book one at a time. "I'm not dying," he says. "I'm already immortal." He furrows his brow and looks up toward her. "Wait, you're already finding things? How?"

Madigan Belle has posed:
"Ummm, cross referencing like, the book information with everything else I know." Madigan mentions, as if 'duh' and she looks back, flipping through a few more dozen pages, "Yeah, like, there's probably a ton of books here that could get us some more information on these things. I have 3 likely options in the once formerly Roman area, but we'd really want to make sure that they haven't been sold, or auctioned off someplace. You know?" And she quirks her mouth back and forth before asking, "You are immortal? Neat. Like, really immortal, or immortal until slain?" She tries raising her voice into a more airy voice to make her question more dramatic.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy thumps the arm of the chair softly with his left hand's knuckle a couple times. "Let's assume I'm not going to be slain," he says. He gestures with his head, filed horns indicating at the book. "How confident would you be that the things you're finding are real?" he asks. "Because I'm having to spend my own money tracking down each one."

Madigan Belle has posed:
There's a shrug of her shoulders, "I dunno. 87.65 percent? Or, there abouts. I mean... at least they were real at one point in time, or another. There's a lot between when some of these things were around and now." Madigan quirks her mouth to the side, and she wonders, "I... uh, could help, ya know. I got like... wads of cash. Not sure any of these do... things, if that's what you are looking for, but I've got those 3 that probably existed. There's a lot more in the book, but some of them are just... well, made up, or other things not from that time frame but later and then thought to be old. Yeah. That kind of stuff is everywhere."
