Peggy Carter has posed:
After the meeting with Jemma, Peggy really couldn't focus the rest of the day. Half excited, and half just the generalized nausea that is going to be an off and on part of life for the next few months. Without any pressing work on her desk, she decided to take off early. She sent him a message saying she was going back to the house and she'd see him at home when he gets free.

That means she's had about two hours to figure out what would agree with her stomach and cook something. Her beef and guiness stew is one of the few things she does consistently well, and with the winter chill quickly coming on, it warms the kitchen nicely. So, that's what she's been working on. She must have changed and showered when she got home as well, because she's in her warm flannel pajamas and his warm winter robe. It's all comfort things tonight, it seems.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel's SUV pulls into the driveway right on time, even with his recent assignments he managed to break away and get home in good time. Walking through the kitchen door he takes a deep inhale and smiles. "Beef and Guiness stew?" he asks as if the smell weren't immediately recognizable after all these years. Seeing her in her robe and PJs he glances at his suit remarking. "I like where your head's at," he says undoing his tie. "Anything I can help with in here or can I go dress to match?"

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Well, I did steal your robe. It was chilly and it smelled like you... But I'm sure you can find something else and your slippers are near the heater." Old habits, especially when early winter came on. She always used to make certain his slippers were laid out right next to the radiator and his robe hanging over top, so they were nice and warm when they got out of bed in the cold early mornings. Peggy grins back to him. "But there is one thing you can do first..." She then reaches out, grabbing the lapel of his jacket and draggnig him in close for a very deep, rather long good evening kiss.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"What would I do without you?" Daniel muses at the little kindnesses like heated slippers and good stew that made coming home all the more wonderful. By how he smirks when she mentions there's one thing he can do, he's likely guessed what she had in mind and he gladly returns the kiss relaxing into it and letting the stress of the day fall away. When it breaks he's relaxed if in need of breath. "Mmm, glad I could help out," he says still close enough their lips are almost touching. He gives her a second smaller kiss before he pries himself away to go change. "So what got you home early tonight? Not that I'm complaining," he calls back to her as he drifts off towards the bedroom.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"That's what I needed, handsome. Go get comfortable. The stew still should simmer a while..." The longer it cooked, the better it got. When she's done it in the past, she's often let it go all day in a slow cooker, so she's not in any rush to take it off the stove after only an hour so. She smiles at that second kiss but then does willingly let him go. However, she pops the lid on the food and turns it down to low so it is just simmering, before she turns on the ball of her foot and follows him.

She leans in the doorway of their bedroom, arms crossed over her chest, just blatantly watching him as he starts to get changed. "I... finally did get to see Jemma. I promised you I would. And she... confirmed matters. After that, my head just wasn't in the office, honestly. Though she's delighted for both of us."

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel is just taking off his shirt when Peggy arrives to peer at him and share the news. His dark eyes brighten at the confirmation, shirt set down on the bed before he makes his way over to Peggy hands resting on her arms. "Really?" he asks. "That's great, and everything's okay... so far?" the latter question born of a spy's instinct to be ready for the other shoe to drop, despite the excitement that radiates from him.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"So... so far, yes. I mean, it's quite early on. She wants to do more tests but, considering how quickly we managed to... Ah, get ourselves in this predicament," A very happy one, from the smile on her lips, "She suspects that I truly am just back to every inch of who I was at 29 and things should go smoothly. She didn't seem overly worried so... I'll take that as a good sign." Peggy is grinning, thrilled to give him the good news.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Smiling at the mention of getting themselves into their current predicament, Daniel teases "Did you tell her you started it?" In truth he can't remember who did but he could imagine Jemma blushing at anything more than the basic medical details. "Good to have confirmation on the changes," he agrees before smiling. "And despite this being our child things are shaping up to look fantastically normal."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"*I* started it?? Daniel Sousa, I do believe we share some equal blame in our... celebrations. And I didn't go into exact... Details, with Jemma. We're both ladies and it was a little, ah... Awkward to discuss my possible indiscretions with my own husband when we weren't quite... Necessarily planning on this, quite yet." Peggy is still being rather British about the matter, a blush rising on her cheeks as she remembers the awkward dance of a conversation she and Jemma did around the whole thing. She then clears her throat, straightening her shoulders a bit more. "But yes, so far, perfectly normal. Maybe we can do ONE thing normally, for once."

Daniel Sousa has posed:
There's that tone he was looking for, that the blush brings a smile to his lips as he leans in and kisses her. "Okay, you're right we were definitely /both/ to blame," he relents with an amused twinkle in his eye. "I can imagine that had to be an /interesting/ conversation between the two of you. I imagine the combined Britishness had people driving on the wrong side of the road for miles around."

His teasing expression softens though to one of sincere contentment and joy. "And I figure we're about due for normal. It's a nice change of pace."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"You keep this up, and the stew is going to wait far, far longer while we remember why we are *both* to blame about this one." Peggy murmurs softly, even as she teases her for that blush and gives the kiss. She leans in to return it, fingertips warmly resting against his bare chest. She really is quite tempted to push him back on the bed. But then his expression is softening. She lets her other hand come up to gently cup his cheek. "We... really are over due. I don't want to jinx it, but we *did* get through this perfectly fine once before. And... medical technology has come so much farther..."

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"Well... the stew is better when it's had more time to simmer," Daniel says as he feels Peggy's hand on his chest. Really is it any wonder how these two ended up in their current situation?

Though the touch to his cheek and the soft words bring him to back into the moment. "I don't want to jinx it either but I'm hopeful about this, knowing it's going to be just like normal, with the tech and people we have behind us, I think it'll be all okay."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"...Day at a time. Just like before. But we have a lot of help, and Jemma's agreed to keep a close eye on things but also not to tell anyone until we're ready. This... possibly other than timing, we couldn't be in a better situation. We can do this." Peggy seems to say it to reassure herself as much as him, but she believes it too.

And then, since he hasn't quite started to get dressed again, she does gently push him back towards the bed, a certain hunger in her eyes. Dinner could certainly wait a little longer.
