Lydia Dietrich has posed:
It's been a hectic week for Lydia. Between creating the binding circle, keeping an eye on Agnes, help setting up adult education coursework for Hope House, patrols, /and/ her book, she's barely had any time to breathe. So she decided that she was going to /make/ time and take today off.

To mark this occasion, she decided to wear nothing but a comfortable pair of sweats and a loose T-shirt, and bound her hair in a loose ponytail. Anybody that came to her with any kind of work got the Vampire Glare (tm) which caused them to back off.

Now, she's folded in one of those comfortable Queen Anne chairs with her feet folded up underneath her and a book in her lap. Not one of her spell books, though. It's Twilight. It's a terrible book, she knows, but it was comfort food when she was a tween, and she could certainly use the comfort.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Although Raven worried and fretted over where Lydia was going and what she was doing, the cobalt mutant wasn't one to shove her nose into her lovers business. She was aware there were things that Lydia did that she wasn't supposed to know about, or rather, didn't get to know about. To keep herself distracted, when she wasn't working, those few hours a day that no one needed her, she had been using the training room to stay in shape.

Returning now from one of those sessions, the door slid open and she entered. Wearing a black body suit with a pair of shorts and her usual thigh high boots, she'd pulled her flame red hair up into a ponytail to keep it out of her way. Draped around her shoulders was the towel she'd used to wipe sweat away, and in her right hand was a large bottle of water with ice in it.

"You look comfortable," she comments as the door slides closed behind her.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Mmm," Lydia says, agreeing. She pulls the bookmark from the back of the book to mark where she is in it and puts it down to get up to move over to her lover. Giving her a kiss she steps back and smiles at her. "Did you have a good workout?"

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The kiss is returned with a smile on Raven's face for Lydia coming over to her.

"I was going to give you a kiss where you sat, then go shower," she pretends to protest, as if that plan being ruins was just so horrible... would almost be believable were she not still grinning. "It was a good work out, yes. Did some weight training, then jogged around the Black Forest."

Her yellow eyes spy the book Lydia was reading, searching for the title and then regretting it. Nope, no comment about that. "How are you doing? Things going alright with... what ever it is you've been up to?" She then asks, walking toward the bedroom because a shower was going to be needed.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia follows Raven to the shower so she can watch. "Things are both terrible and wonderful," she says, leaning against the counter. "I spoke to an honest to goodness angel last night. He confirmed I had a soul." She can't help but grin at that. The question had been plaguing her ever since she had been turned.

"Of course," she amends. "This particular angel is the 'papal killer' and is directly responsible for murdering ten people. Horribly." She shakes her head, "I would feel sorry for it if it wasn't for that. We've got it bound so people are safe for the time being. We just need to get it out of the host and send it to... wherever. I don't think we've decided yet."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The clothing was all a part of Raven, save for the towel, so the towel is added to the dirty laundry and she just gets najed to step into the shower. She was just about to start the water going when Lydia commented about having a soul. She knew that Lydia had been religious and that sort of thing mattered.

"What made you think you didn't have a soul any more?" She had to ask, leaning against the shower door for a moment. "Of course you have a soul. You would feel remorse, guilt, morality without it." That's right, Raven knows very little about the soul or the religious connections to it.

"I read about the Papal Killer," she snorts. "They hung Pezzini and her team out to dry with that one, and it was an angel? An angel /in/ a mortal, and you listened to this angel because....?"

Now she turns to start the water. She was one of those people who could take a shower in under ten minutes, so that's what she did. If Lydia talked to her, she'd have to speak up over the water now.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia is silent for a moment as she worries at a lip. "A soul is the divine spark that elevates us over the animals," she explains, raising her voice to be heard over the water. "An animal can have a spirit, though. All living things have spirits, including us. But we also have a soul... the divine spark that allows us to accept God." She nods and gestures at Raven, "Or reject Them as the case may be."

"I thought that my magic was powered by my soul. That it sprung from my faith, and when I lost it...." She shakes her head. "I had to wonder. I /did/ die after all. Maybe my soul had left me, leaving me with my spirit and memories."

She chuckles. "I listened to this angel because angels are incapable of lying. It seemed incensed at the very idea that I didn't have a soul." She shrugs. "It's given me peace of mind."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Ten minutes, not a moment longer, and Raven steps out to grab a towel for her hair and her body.

"If it brings you peace of mind, love," she offers, wrapping the towel around her hair and head before looking up at Lydia with a smile. "Then I'm glad you got a change to talk to this angel. I don't have to understand it, that you do and it makes you comfortable, that's all that matters."

The body towel is used to dry herself, not bothering to wrap it around herself or anything once she's gotten herself dried off. She won't go into how she doesn't believe any of that, that the soul and spirit or whatever... were no more connected to a deity than it was a rock in the Sahara Desert. She knows that Lydia's faith is important to her, so she just accepts it as what the woman believes.

"Is there anything I can do to help with the various things your doing?" She then offers, tossing the towel into the hamper before wandering into the bedroom to find a real pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt to put on. Real clothing, because she liked the way the softer materials felt against her skin.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia is silent as she watches her girlfriend dry herself. Something so mundane shouldn't be so sexy, but God damn, Raven is sexy. She knows that Raven is an atheist, which is why she really doesn't talk about her religion with her. It's one of the few gaps between them, but they have a comfortable understanding of each other.

When Raven is done drying, she lifts herself up off the counter and embraces her, one hand doing a little bit of wandering. "I love looking at you," she says, voice husky. "I could watch you for hours." She leans in for a deep kiss, before breaking contact.

She licks her lips to savor Raven's taste and makes her way back to the living room. "You wouldn't happen to know where the Morlocks are, would you?" she asks. "There's a nest of vampires somewhere underneath Queens that we need to find before they hurt more people. I was thinking that if anybody would know where they're at it would be them."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Knowing that Lydia is watching her, even before she spoke, Raven makes sure to saunter slowly with a swing to her hips and offer up the best views. When the kiss comes it is more than welcomed, her own hands caressing over Lydia's cool body without pause or hesitation, and ending on her rump. Pressing herself against her lover she savors the deep kiss to the very last moment of it.

"Are you trying to soften me up to pump me for information?" she teases, one brow lifting but the smile makes it clear that not only is she in a good mood, but she's joking. "Cause it'll take more than a really, really good kiss to get information out of me."

With a wiggle of her brows, she decides to stay right there, pressed against Lydia as she continues. "I know a great deal about the Mutant Underground, including the ways in and out, their leader, etc. They are a private, secretive group though..." she pauses there. "... are you looking to contact them for information about these vampires under New York?"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Oh, I can pump you with something alright," Lydia growls suggestively, letting a tentacle of ectoplasm curl around Raven's leg. She's happy to stay there, too, pressed up against her. It's been too long since they've had any real time alone, and she's going to cherish every minute of it.

"Yes," she says. "Or maybe a map of the area or something, if they don't know. I'm thinking we can bring something to barter with, but I'm not entirely sure what they'd want."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Strong hands caress up Lydia's back to the shoulders, then one slowly works its way back down to give her rump a squeeze, while pulling her in closer. They could have been talking about blood, gore, and viscera and Raven would still be feeling her lover up.

"Careful now lover," she warns in a softly purred tone. "I could pump you full of things as well..."

She's asking questions, Raven draws her mind back to the Morlocks. "There's a process," she offers, tone still heated like her body, but at least she's talking about the right thing. "First I have to let them know someone is interested in bartering with them for information, then they decide if it's worth it or not. I can't just take people down there and show them around, that's a risk to their safety and against their rules. But I will send them the message."

Now Raven leans to kiss Lydia passionately, attempting to guide her toward the bed in little steps. If she's denied that movement, she'll accept and just continue the kiss until she needs to breath again.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia gets a little half lidded, "Promises," she teases. More seriously, "Okay. Let's get the process rolling on this, but I don't want this to be a big Brotherhood production, though." She lets herself be scooted along until the backs of her knees bump the bed. "I feel bad using you like this to begin with, so I want to keep it small, okay?"

She giggles as she topples over onto the bed, but doesn't lose her grip on Raven, taking her with her. "Oh my," she says. "Look at what happened. Whatever shall we do?"

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Raven topples with Lydia onto the bed, which was her plan all along, but she laughs a little over her lover's words.

"Not everything I do involves Brotherhood Lydia," she offers quietly, starting to kiss along the woman's neck lightly. "You aren't using me... yet," she then adds in a more sultry tone.

"Don't worry about the Brotherhood or their involvement," she whispers against that beautiful neck before nibbling a little. "This is just between you and I, and whom ever you need to tell to hunt the vampires."
