| Synopsis: | Colossus emerges from a magic mushroom cave located beneath a lighthouse just west of Liverpool. He got word back to Xavier's that he needed assistance and a pickup to bring him home. Then he encountered trouble. Warpath arrived and assisted in a combat situation. They faced off against Hurricane, Crossbow, Knight, and Mauler. The villains were trying to assassinate Fiona McMurdo, an English engineer. They wanted to kill her for reasons undisclosed. The villains were routed, Fiona saved, and the heroes returned to the mansion. |

BEFORE:
His cold osmium steel body rose from the channel. Heavy footfalls crushing into the sand as he walked upon the shore. Before him stood the harbor of Liverpool. Above, the night sky was overcast and dreary; a light mist fell upon his already wet metallic skin. The sand crunched beneath his water filled boots as he crossed the shallow beach to the concrete's edge. There, he stood, his 7'7" vantage point allowed him to spot the central building among the stacks of multicolored cargo containers. Knowing that he would find a telephone there, he pressed on.
The harbor was alive with activity. Cargo containers were being relocated, placed upon ships, and taken off other ships. Steel towers held cranes which were manned and tasked with the job of ensuring that commerce continued. Colossus moved quickly between the containers as he made his way to the central building. He didn't want to be spotted, nor did he wish to set off alarms which would draw unnecessary attention. He only wanted to place a call. His red and yellow costume atop his monolithic frame of organic steel blended well with the random colors of the shipping containers as well as the raw steel of the harbor. It afforded him plenty of cover. This allowed him to go undetected and enter the central building of the shipping facility. There, he found a phone and placed the call to Xavier's Mansion in Salem Center, Westchester County, New York. The place he calls his home. A student answered and Colossus was brief, telling the youth of his situation and his need for retrieval. Further, that he would be located just to the south of the shipyard and await pickup. The student made haste to find someone in charge who could handle said need?
The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray.
NOW:
South of the shipyard never happened. Instead, Colossus waited inside the central building till the coast was clear? this took longer than he hoped as several land transport vehicles arrived. Thus delayed his departure. He stood in the shadows watching through windows for quite a while.
When seeing his opportunity, he emerged from the building and made haste to clear the shipyard. He didn?t get far.
Colossus witnessed a high-speed chase between a subcompact car and several metahumans. The subcompact was damaged by a crossbow bolt to the tire and careened out of control to slam into a shipping container. As the villains closed in, a blonde woman emerged from the vehicle and ran around the corner to find where Colossus was standing. He quickly told the woman that he was here to help and to stay behind him. He turned to face the villains. ( see link for layout of scene: https://www.owlbear.rodeo/game/p_y7DwcMm )

There are 4 distinct assailants who seem to be facing off against Colossus. One, wearing green garb and holding a crossbow ( https://comicvine.gamespot.com/crossbow/4005-31646/ ) is seen crouched upon a shipping container taking aim toward either Colossus himself, or the blonde woman ( http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix7/kilgoreslaughter.htm#Fiona ) taking cover behind Colossus.
Colossus challenges in his annoyed, heavy Russian accent, "STAND DOWN, OR BE BROKEN. THIS WOMAN IS UNDER MY PROTECTION!"
The closes assailant to Colossus appears to be dressed as a knight ( https://comicvine.gamespot.com/knight/4005-15298/ ), and has a sword extended from his right forearm. He states in an English accented voice, "Nay, silver knight. You shall be slain as shall be the girl whose under my contract to kill!"
The man in blue and white, who is standing on a patch of ice ( https://comicvine.gamespot.com/mauler/4005-13921/ ) states, also in an English accent, "Mate, just give it up, you're surrounded."
The man in black and yellow ( https://comicvine.gamespot.com/hurricane/4005-25197/ ) who stands at a distance to the northwest of Colossus says nothing, however, his powers are quite active ? displaying a whirlwind around him. As if he controls air or something.

The combatants are surrounded by many shipping containers and at a great distance there are shipyard workers who are starting to take notice of the situation. Yet, those bystanders are at quite a distance and out of the danger zone. James Proudstar arrives in the little black Quinjet, under stealth features and swoops in for what was advertised as a quick run to the pong to pick up his exes brother. But when is life ever that cut and dried?
He arrives at the coordinates and can see Clossus in an old fashion standoff, so he in very X-Men fashion does nothing, well, not immediately. Jim, stay cloaked and lands the plane a bit off where he can approach on foot and use the shadows and terrain to his advantage. Jim is a a hunter and these blustering cattle are clearly prey. He lets Colossus keep the attention of him while James comes in from behind. He doesn't think it's going to go well in the negotiation terms but you never can tell, so he moves in behind the one in the air, quietly carefully, lifting a one of the immense containers ready to smack him in the head with it at the first sign of things going south.

The creaking metallic noises of the shipping container being lifted, coupled with the contents of the container shifting draws attention of the crouching crossbow welding villain. He turns and spots the threat. He yelps, "THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!" as he dives between the shipping containers (even closer toward James' position). He gets off a shot, however the quarrel is launched into the shipping container that James holds. It pierces the container with the sharp metal tip. The Crossbow (villain) disappears into the darkness between the shipping containers, and James would be able to see him if it weren't for the next event.
Hurricane, surrounded by his winds, turns to see James. He announces, "I'll take care of em!" and he rises from his low hover to get a better vantage before casting his electrical attack which arc's across the distance to the container that James holds. Electricity, being Electricity arcs not only to the container that James holds, but also to the containers below and to the side. The electrical attack will be conducted through the container and into James himself and then down to the containers below James.
The Knight turns to see what's going on. When this happens. Colossus charges the would-be sword-bearing assailant. Colossus grabs the man's shoulder and then he flings the Knight like a ragdoll. The Knight is hurled toward the Mauler's position.
The Mauler erects an ice wall that the Knight slams into. This protects the Mauler from the attack. The Mauler states, "You're going to have to work harder than that, Colossus!" and he begins backpedaling.

James Proudstar sighs and reacts with his trademark efficiency and directness. He lifts into the air at the first sign of alarm, the darkness can't hide Crossbow from his attention, he also has the villains scent so there is little they can do to hide. But Hurricane is the primary threat. And while leaving the ground insulates him from the electrical attack he still has the threat to deal with launching himself at the Assailant wielding his container like a bat.

Hurricane is an easy target. He was expecting James to go down. And when James smacks him with the shipping container, he is sent sailing across the shipyard. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" He slams against another set of shipping containers and is rendered unconscious.
Meanwhile, Colossus charges the ice wall, slamming against the back of the Knight, shattering the wall and tackling the Mauler.
The Crossbow climbs a shipping container and lines up the shot on Fiona who is ducked down against the far shipping container. He mutters, "These buffoons' have no clue what they're doing.. I will claim the contract."

It's a beautiful shot, it really is. Perfect head shot, right through the eye, easy kill. If it ever gets there. James moves through the air easily and interposes himself between Crossbow and Fiona, he doesn't even let the crossbow bounce off his bullet proof hide. He plucks the bolt from the air and snaps it making eye contact with Crossbow, "Run."

Crossbow launched the quarrel. He thought for sure he would have landed the contract. Instead, the blur of the Native American appeared in the line of sight and fire, and snatched the quarrel out of the sky. His eyes refocus on James, hearing the intent and nature of James' word, Crossbow knows he's bested. He's only a man in a suit with a crossbow, and James has displayed some significant powers. Crossbow turns and begins running directly west, away from the conflict zone. Leaping from container to container to try and escape.
Just to the south of James, Colossus (knelt over the villain) rends Mauler's super suit. Ripping it from the villain's body. Colossus intones, "I warned you! Now look who has fallen."
Yet, just to the left flank of Colossus, the Knight approaches with his sword drawn and swings to strike Colossus in the back. The sword shatters. The Knight freezes, knowing that he just screwed up.
Behind James, Fiona remains huddled, she looks up and watches the various other exchanges, and is amazed by the size and power of her protectors.

James Proudstar leans down with the sort of casual ease a normal human reserves a 5lb bag of sugar, he heft a 55 gallon steel drum filled with some random liquid and whistles at the Knight, "Here, hold this." He tosses the drum at the knights center of mass, pauses to nod at the girl and then hefts a medium size rock, he takes aim and throws it football style it at the fleeing Crossbow, catching them in mid leap to the next line of containers. "Never said I'd let you go." He smiles and nods, "Typical Colossus, always making friends. You ready to leave or do we have more business?" James is not dressed in the gaudy style of outfits the X-Men usually find so appealing. he's wearing a dark sweater and a pair of rugged dark jeans, raw denim, On his feet are a pair of workboots also black. "Long time, no see, are you staying for the holidays?"

The Knight is taken out, knocked several yards away.
Crossbow is popped by the rock and goes down, sliding off the top of a container, then falling 20 feet to the ground below. Unconscious.
Colossus turns to just see the Knight knocked far away. He drops the Mauler and turns to see James. He smiles, "Good to see you, Warpath. I am done here... Once we see that she is okay and off."
Fiona stands and brushes herself off. "That was amazing.", is remarked in an English accented voice.

James Proudstar shrugs as he considers, "Four assailants under five minutes... It was pretty good but I'm sure Cyclops would have found something to deduct points for." He gives Colossus a grin and nods his heads towards where he parked the quinjet, "This way, I'm parked over there, someplace we can drop you?"

After seeing to the safety of Fiona and the sudden arrival of the police, Colossus made a hasty retreat to join James in the quinjet where they would depart for the Xavier Mansion. During the flight, Colossus shared his story that he participated in a battle with other X-Men then he woke up in a magic mushroom cave beneath a lighthouse close to Liverpool. Turns out, he's been gone for a few months. He also shares that he's unable to shift back to normal form. It's clear that he's concerned about his own absence and even looks more forward to getting back home.
They soon arrive back at the X-Mansion. Colossus thanks James for his assistance many more times, and then he breaks from James to seek out others.
