Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Clint Barton, Felicia Hardy

Clint Barton has posed:
It was quiet.

Too quiet.

New York City was the city that never sleeps. The city that always, always, -always- has something going on. Yet....there were no bank robberies, no grand heists, no giant monsters trying to knock every building down because it didn't appreciate what the city was doing to the water, no megalomaniacal scientist trying to blow up the entire city...

Just silence.

Even as Hawkeye, an Avenger, was walking through the streets of Chinatown, dressed decently casually in a black jacket, some nice jeans, decent shoes...all aspects that could make one pretty anonymous in a crowd.

He was thinking about stopping by that nice Ramen place. Honestly, he's surprised that he hasn't been summoned for a mission recently at all. Hopefully SHIELD still likes him.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
    It was loud.

    Too loud.

Felicia Hardy, The Black Cat and recent Avenger (trainee) had to escape the somewhat droll, mid-season holiday party. Dressed in a tight and small black dress that shows off much more skin than she normally prefers, Felicia slipped ouy of the party and has meandered her way into Chinatown.

A rumble in her tummy tells her that she requires a helping or two of some potstickers and something tempura.

Clint Barton has posed:
Holiday parties are...well, quite the occasion.

Clint was never one for them. Too many people, and he didn't have a ton of friends outside of Nat. So, as Clint moved along, he couldn't help but notice Felicia Hardy, dressed in something that she frankly looks uncomfortable in, regardless of how good she looks in it, and he seems to be on a collision course for her.

"Hey, haven't I seen you before?"

Clint attempts to address Felicia in a friendly 'look, its me!' kind of greeting. Honestly though, does Felicia care too much for greetings from random Avengers on the street?

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Stopping in her heels and turning her shoulder to find out where she might have heard her name from, Felicia finds Clint in front of her and she tilts her head back and straightens her back that little bit.

"Mister Haw- Barton, fancy meeting you." Felicia says with a tight smile, showing hints of her teeth between her lips. "I don't think we've been 'properly' introduced yet." She notes with a purposeful wink. Maybe she doesn't wish to discuss 'work' so openly, but maybe she needs to learn to not be so uptight about it?

Clint Barton has posed:
Clint seems to smirk at her a little bit, though he gives her a once over, a little bit shamelessly.

"Nice dress. Going to a fancy party?" He questions her. Of course, he tends to be relatively aware of -some- of the parties. He's not invited to all of them. Depends on how rich the party-runner is, but he notices her striaghten a little bit and he lifts a hand. "Ah, just call me Clint, wouldja? Only people who call me Mr. Barton is my bank." Clint smiles at her. "I don't think we've been properly introduced either, but call me Clint anyway." He teases her.

It would apepar that despite Felicia being respectful and not quite discussing 'work', Clint seems to be relatively relaxed about it. Doesn't help that he's a little bit of a flirt, but not in a gross or overbearing kind of way. Hopefully. The observer/receiver is the one who decides that. "You hungry? Great ramen place across the street."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"It is a nice dress, took long enough for someone to notice." Felicia says, the twinge of annoyance audible in her voice and the way her hands move deftly to readjust to make sure she stays modest or comfortable. She does look back to Clint, "Sure thing, Clint."

Looking over her shoulder across the street, Felicia shrugs her shoulders, "As long as there's a heater inside and I can get some sake." A weird way to say yes, but she's up for some noodles. "Lead the way." She invites as she turns and cocks out an elbow like a gentleman should for Clint to take.

Clint Barton has posed:
Clint chuckles a bit at Felicia's irritated comment, though he doesn't seem to mind it. Noticing her readjust, he actually seems to move into a position to cover her from wandering eyes. "Let me know if you need to wear my jacket as a waistcoat. Much as I'm sure you like your legs, some sick people in the world." Clint tells Felicia not as someone who has some kind of interest, but as a friend.

Avengers, former, trainee, or otherwise, need to look out for each other.

Though Clint nods to her. "Sounds great." She offers her arm and he takes it in his with no small amount of amusement. "I recommend the teriyaki, if you ask me. That meat with the noodles? To die for." He advises. "So, how've you been?"

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia wants to hide the smile from her face, but the idea Clint Barton is so down to earth and is walking with her arm in arm gives her a huge thrill, it's almost fairytale in its bizarreness. "Thank you for the offer, but I'm quite comfortable, just a smidgen chilly." She responds as they near the entrance.

"The teriyaki and noodles, Clint, if I didn't know better, I'd guess you read my profiles." She notes in a hushed tone, a gkance with a deeper meaning hidden in her oceanic blues. Felicia pauses to tap her chin with her free hand, "Not much going on since Christmas, kinda getting used to my new life, a new relationship and a new job roughly the same time can be so, tumultuous. Y'know?"

Clint Barton has posed:
Clint nods. "Sure thing. If you get cold, just lemme know. I actually kinda like winter, reminds me that there are things other than unbearably warm in the world. Why I hate the bahamas." He tells Felicia with a bit of sarcastic humor in his tone. Though as they near the entrance, Clint looks at Felicia and he smirks. "I've read you're file a little bit, only the first couple of pages."

-Pages-?

Though Clint smirks at her. "Sounds like you've got a lot going on, Felicia. Hope you had a good Christmas. New Job?" He questions her. Though he leaves the topic of her new life and relationship out of it. He figures she'll tell him about her personal life when she feels like it.

"Believe, me, I know. Its a crazy time. Any exciting New Years plans?" He tells her as he asks for a table for two. They are quickly led to a nice corner booth.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Claiming a seat, Felicia does seem to be unbothered by her attire being a bit out of place, or she's so used to it that she's unphased where most might feel hoity or vulnerable. "Yeah, new job, with you guys, and being on the straight and narrow, like... nevermind." She sighs softly as she leans forward onto her elbows, sliding her face into her hands.

"I haven't even begun to look at all the invites to various parties, because I'm not sure P-G is interested in going to any. I'm sure she'd rather have a night off, or at least be available to go help others." A peek into her personal life wasn't that hard to achieve it seems.

Clint Barton has posed:
Claiming his seat opposite of Felicia, he gets a menu and he seems to be looking it over. "Damn, they have shrimp here too? I here shrimp at these neat bar and grills are pretty tasty, actually." He informs of Felicia, though he seems to smirk a little bit as she leans forward on her elbows attempting to explain to Clint her present situation. "No, I getcha. I was mostly just being sarcastic." He winks at her playfully.

She talks about PG and his head tilts. "Huh, didn't know you and PG were a thing. Thought she was a bit on the 'talk to me and I break you' side of the relationship spectrum." Clint suggests, though he shrugs. "Huh, the more you know."

He looks at the menu. "Hmmm...you know, they name crab legs after Hulk and it makes me wonder if the rest of us are gonna get menu items named after us."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Fekicis laughs at Clint's comment about PG and leans back in her chair, hands ending up in her lap, "I stumbled across her on a dating site, so maybe she can still surprise people." The thief smirks before moving onto the next thought.

"I'm willing to bet a lot of money that SOMEONE out there offers Captain America Pies, Iron Man deep fry, and Boneless Hawkeye Wings." Felicia leans forward, pressing her luck and wallet to dare Clint, just a little.

Clint Barton has posed:
"She was on a -dating site-?" Clint questions Felicia. "She realizes she probably could've flirted with someone and they'd be around her finger, right?" Clint is a little picky about his romantic partners, but he's not stupid. He knows bombshell when he sees it. "But I'm glad you two seem to have ended up together. I hope everything is going well on that front." Clint says with a kind smile, though he moves onto the next thought with her.

She makes a bet.

A bet.

"Tell you what, find me somewhere that has -specifically- those menu items and you got yourself a deal." Clint was no Tony Stark, but he decently knows how to save his money.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I hope 'was' is correct." Felicia says with a slight sorrowful sort of smile, the kind of smile that doesn't quite reach the eyes. But instead there's a bet to be had and Felicia never plays fair when she has the chance.

"You're on old man, whats the wager, money or an awful embarrassing sort of dare?" She asks, eyebrows lifting up on her forehead in the joy of contest.

Clint Barton has posed:
"Probably is."

Clint shrugs a little bit, though he notices the sorrowful sort of smile on Felicia's face, but decides, for the moment, not to pursue that train of thought. Instead, Clint decides to simply maintain the attention on the wager, and the archer hums largely to himself. "Tell you what....loser has to do a dare of the winner's choosing. It can be embarassing, downright gross, or awesome as hell. Just as long as its a dare and the winner has to decide the dare and the loser has -no choice- but to do it."

He extends a hand across the table then to Felicia.

"Deal?"

The pair then laugh, and proceed to enjoy a lovely meal together. Sometimes, friendship is hard to come by.
