Synopsis: Lois and Jimmy chat over a
Cast of Characters: Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen

Lois Lane has posed:
While the Daily Planet isn't big on out-of-the-office work meetings, there are the times where they send employees off for a work-paid meal to increase morale and foster positive inter-office relationships. While most of the employees haven't arrived, the waitstaff has been warned more are on the way.

At one of the tables, Lois holds down the fort, sipping at a soda while glancing at messages on her phone and tapping away at the keys. Naturally... she's probably still working. It never fails.

Jimmy Olsen has posed:
It isn't long before a familiar face steps into the establishment. Jimmy Olsen. His tie is askew and he looks a bit disheveled, as if he's been running or exerting himself. He takes a moment to scan the area, catching his breath and grins widely when he spots Lois. "Miss Lane!"

Jimmy makes a beeline for her table. "Mind if I join you? Was hoping I'd run into you." Yup, as usual his energy level is pretty high.

Lois Lane has posed:
Looking up from her phone as the sound of her name, Lois smiles brightly. The phone is promptly stored out of the way, as she's certainly not about to be using her phone in a social situation unless it was an emergency... or if she really didn't want to be there. Since this was neither, the phone stays stowed.

"Plenty of room at this table, Jimmy. Of course I don't mind, take a seat. Clark's supposed to be coming but he was finishing something and when he says he'll 'just be a minute' he blinks and an hour has gone by."

Jimmy Olsen has posed:
Jimmy slides into the empty seat and leans forward with his elbows on the table. For some reason the light fragrance of apples clings to him. Green apples.

He brightens even more at hearing Clark's name. "Oh, good! I hope he makes it. Wanted to see him too. Actually I need your opinions on something. Specifically...Tony Stark. I have been trying to get a good picture of him and have had NO luck whatsoever. Heard he was going to be at the park today but it turned out to be a red herring."

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois takes a sip from the glass of soda in front of her. "Tony Stark I can probably help with. Given that I got the first interview after he announced he was running for president, I have a link there. I can probably at least find out his schedule or something and we can have you pop in for five minutes or so to snap a couple of pictures. He probably won't mind given I gave him a fair workup for that interview."

She nods at him. "If it weren't so sudden, I would have tried to snag you to come in for the interview. I really wasn't expecting it, but sometimes a name drop to the right people works. Never underestimate the power of networking. /Even/ in your social life."

Jimmy Olsen has posed:
Jimmy's eyes go wide and his grin broadens even more. "Really? Wow! That would be great, Miss Lane! I don't usually have trouble getting pictures of people but for some reason he's really difficult. I'd appreciate it!"

He considers a moment. "Yeah, networking is key for sure. And I'm pretty good at that but...well, I hate to admit it but Stark's out of my league." Jimmy eyes Lois. "So what do you think about his chance of winning? Do you think he has an edge over Lex?"

Lois Lane has posed:
"Janet Van Dyne is one of my dear friends, I've known her a couple of years now... she's dating Steve Rogers who I would say I consider a friend now. So I do have some connections in that cluster a little bit," Lois seems thoughtful. "I'll get you some more information for who to call over there. I imagine Stark's people will be wanting some positive press any time they can."

The thought of the overall campaign makes her wince. "Honestly I wish there was a third candidate. /Anyone/. Don't get me wrong, I think Tony Stark is incredibly intelligent and has great ideas. Do I think he'd work well as a president? I don't have faith in that yet. Big dreams, I just don't know that he's got the support structure in place to make it work for a government. A campaign isn't about just your presidential candidate, it's about who you've got backing you and what skilled people are in your toolbelt."

She taps on her glass with a fingertip. "Lex is not a good option though. But he's cunning, and people like that. Stark takes risks, Luther's risks are carefully calculated. He's got plans on top of plans. Could Lex run the country? Certainly. The things he might do under the nose of the American people though..." She shakes her head.

Jimmy Olsen has posed:
Jimmy listens intently, not interrupting once. He does nod a few times, contemplating Lois' words.

"Well, I'm still making up my mind. I just don't know. I do think that you're right though. A third candidate would be good. Maybe someone else will emerge. Never know. At this point anything could happen though. Do you have any inside info? Is there someone else out there that you think might throw their hat into the ring?"

Lois Lane has posed:
"Don't know that I have anyone specific that I know who would do it... but I'll tell you if someone runs and they /aren't/ a billionaire... they'll have a huge amount of voters just for that demographic. I have heard a lot of complaints about people who say that the government's just being bought out."

Lois frowns a little bit. "To be honest they've got a point. Both Stark and Luther have said that they're putting their businesses as assets in what they're doing."

Jimmy Olsen has posed:
Jimmy Olsen raises a brow and nods. "Yeah, I can see that. I guess it's nearly impossible for a regular guy...or gal to run. Which is a shame. I think--"

*BEEP*

Jimmy frowns and glances at his phone. "Uh oh. Gotta get back to the Planet. Sorry for eating and running although...I didn't eat. Thanks for the talk. And if Clark shows up tell him I'll catch up with him later."

Jimmy offers one more smile before standing and heading out the door.
