Negasonic has posed:
It had to finally happen, Ellie has ventured outside of the Mansion. Specifically, she walked out into the backyard, and is caught quite off guard by the unimagineable affluence. Pool? Basketball court? Tennis court? What sort of cult did she wound up with...?

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna had been perched on the roof facing the backyard, why was the current ruler of Genosha doing so? It was quiet and no one could bother her as she sat there and sulked. She spotted Ellie however as the young mutant came out of the Mansion. A tilt of her head and the magnokinetic came floating down from on high to land lightly beside Ellie.

Lorna wore a pair of jeans, and a slightly heavier leather jacket to combat the New York chill that hadn't entirely lifted from the area. It was still early Spring, and compared to Genosha it was downright cold. "It's a lot, isn't it?" She offered softly, shoving her hands into her pockets as the wind swept through the backyard.

Negasonic has posed:
It will never get any easier to get used to the idea that the royal of your country could just show up and have words with you for Ellie, she just turns to stare in awe as Lorna descends from the roof, coming closer to her. "Very much so...your Highness," Ellie agrees, looking a bit uncomfortable as she's not quite sure how to carry herself in Lorna's presence.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna smiled weakly, and shrugged once as she stopped at a comfortable distance near Ellie. She toed the ground, her hands still shoved into her pockets. "Lorna, please... Here, that's all I am. I went to school here briefly, finished off my high school years.. trained and everything." She sighed softly, and glanced around the backyard.

"I wanted to talk to you.. and ask you, what you thought as a Genoshan. Do you think we should rebuild? Do you want to go back?"

Negasonic has posed:
"Lorna...?" Ellie tries as if to ensure nobody would jump her out of nowhere to punish her for speaking a royal's name. When that doesn't happen, she relaxes a bit, "huh? Cool. Lorna then...I'm Ellie," she introduces herself in turn, even though they already met while she was recovering in medbay. Maybe she just blanked out on it. "Oh..." the last thing Ellie expected is to anyone give a damn about her take of anything, particularly a royal.

"I don't see the point in rebuilding, it died, my family died, my friends died, and it's all because humans hate us. They destroyed Genosha with Magneto around, how are we going to accomplish anything with Magneto? I think if we rebuild, it will be destroyed again...I'll never forgive them for that."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna nodded, a smile briefly appearing on her features as Ellie used her name and she gestured with a hand forward. "Do you want to walk with me? You can see more of the grounds. The Mansion and everything here, was built by the Professor's family. Who was wealthy long before he turned this into a school." She offered, and if Ellie agreed to walk, Lorna would start forward, her boots crunching lightly on the new grass growth that had started as Spring took hold.

The smile faded as she started forward. "I am.. aware of that, painfully so. I too lost my friends, my father.." Her voice was carefully measured, soft. "And I agree that it's hard to want to restart when those responsible are still out there. They can do what they did all over again... surely, that means we shouldn't... it would put everyone that survived in danger again." She paused, and tilted her head up to look up at the sky.

"Regardless of who did it, humans directly or indirectly caused Genosha's destruction. Their hatred of us and those like us caused it." She glanced side long at Ellie. "But if we don't rebuild, where should those survivors go? Back to the humans that hated us? To countries that wanted them gone?" Her eyebrows knit together. "There are thousands left.. and if we fail to restart... we let their hatred of us win. Don't you think?"

Negasonic has posed:
"Err...if you want me to walk with you, sure," Ellie is all kinds of weirded out by even being extended the offer, Lorna was Magneto's daughter after all, a royalty, and Ellie was nothing. She follows along Lorna, keeping a safe distance from her. "It's a fucking crime we lost Magneto, he was the greatest hero of our time." She nods when Lorna doesn't argue with her point of view, "of course it's humans, they are the ones who enslaved us before Magneto liberated Genosha."

"I don't know...maybe we need to bring the pain to them...that way they don't win."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna nodded and started to step along the backyard, her footfalls were lighter than her metal toed shoes should have been. Even now, and here, where she was safe, magnetism was as natural as breathing to the green haired young woman. "The human made Sentinels slaughtered us in our homes, where we felt safe. Even if a human didn't order it, even if a human didn't pull the trigger... they were human made creations." She pursed her lips together briefly.

"Revenge can only do so much. It won't put a roof over our people's heads, it won't feed them they're hungry, or pick them up when they are knocked down. Genosha was a beacon of hope for our kind..." She fell silent, and she glanced at Ellie.

"I won't say that we shouldn't get revenge or bring those responsible to justice. Because we know that no one else will. However..." She hesitated and exhaled a breath. "But their goal was to destroy us, if we never rebuild then they have well and truly won.. they will have succeeded in what they set out to do."

Negasonic has posed:
"I was put through the Mutate Bonding process, I've been a slave since I was 6..." Ellie says coldly to Lorna, "they are absolutely to blame. They were pissed Magneto set us free. All of us who were made their slaves..." there's a momentary freakish golden reddish glow in her eyes as she hisses, "there's not a worse feeling in the entire world than being robbed of your free will. I will have my revenge."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna paused in her steps to look toward Ellie, and she turned toward the young mutant. She nodded, listening, and held out her hands before her. "My father survived Auschwitz. He lived through years of torture, and slave-labor. He saw death everywhere.." She lifted her gaze to Ellie again, letting her hands fall away.

"He hunted down Nazis into the sixties. He told me about that, once.." She swallowed thickly. Her father didn't want nor like to share what had happened to him. But she had gotten a few details here, or there.

"They wanted to kill him and my family because they were Jewish. That same hate created the Sentinel program. The same hate and fear that made the mutate bonding process.." She murmured softly. "But he didn't stop living either, Ellie. My father never stopped trying to rebuild. He had me.. decades after the horrors. He could never let them go, and he lived with those nightmares until he died.. But he didn't stop trying to live for others either.."

Negasonic has posed:
Ellie turns to face Lorna, nodding at her, "I learned about that in school, Nazis were real nasty people." But she does look somewhat surprised to learn Magneto actually experienced it, but she doesn't dare to ask about it. "I'm glad he hunted those bastards," she concludes, "told you he was the best hero ever."

She doesn't say much for the last bit of motivational offered, having her own issues that she hasn't quite come to terms with quite yet. "Yeah, he was pretty awesome. I hope to meet the asshole responsible for his death one day..."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna shoved her hands into her pockets. "Most Nazis never saw a day in court. Many even escaped to the US, they died of old age in their homes here.. hired onto the Space program. Those scientists that worked in Genosha before my father came into power?" She shook her head, pursing her lips together. "I wouldn't be surprised to hear the same happened to those that escaped." She exhaled a breath and her shoulders slumped.

"I want justice for what happened to our people, for what happened to my father.. But I haven't found anything. I have spent hours searching, going to others for information... And they've found nothing. Not a single thing." Lorna began to walk once more, her steps slow and measured.

"I have to try to rebuild in the meantime, Ellie. Even with the risk, the danger.. There are kids that have no where else to go. Genosha has always been their home. And I have to give them one, and do my best to protect them."

Negasonic has posed:
"I know, and it sucks," Ellie murmurs, "this world sucks." She then looks up at Lorna and looks rather determined, as she offers, "if you ever need someone to help with revenge, I want to be in on it."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna inclined her head again, glancing side long at Ellie. "I will let you know when I know anything concrete." She murmured softly, her voice a soft and carefully measured timbre. She glanced back to the yard around them, now the trees and a glimpse of the lake not too far away was visible on the horizon.

"Scott is going to be putting together a team of people to patrol Hammer Bay and to make sure that those that remain there are safe... Do you want to go back? I fully understand if its too much... too painful to return."

Negasonic has posed:
Ellie looks quite shaken at the offer, as she takes a moment, and eventually murmurs, "I'm...I'm not sure I can do it. I'm still...erm...," she pauses, and wincing, she eventually admits, "I have nightmares every night...I don't think it's a good idea."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna stopped once more, reaching out a hand to Ellie and to settle on the younger mutant's shoulder if allowed. "I do too." She whispered softly. "Everytime I close my eyes. I still have panic attacks. I've had to leave multiple meetings to find somewhere to hide because I can't let people see me break down. To be violently ill all over again." She pursed her lips.

"You take what time you need Ellie, do to whatever you need to do. I'm here for you, if you ever want to talk, or not talk about it.. Okay?"
