Synopsis:	Monet goes to the Amazons to request to be trained and meets a Princess.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix is never nerverous. She is merely anticipatory. But on this occasion.. Yes, yes she is nervous. It's essentially only her control that means she's not showing it. Having made an appointment to speak on asking to be able to join the.. Classes at the embassy. And presuming such things are best done face to face. So upon having made an appointment, and finding out who she would be going to see..
    Well yes, there is nervousness. It's only oncein your life you get to meet someone that -is- perfect.

Diana Prince has posed:
The young woman is welcomed in the lobby by a receptionist named Gretta Candy. She's made to wait only a few minutes before a redheaded woman, tall and attractive, offers to take Monet back to see the Princess.

The walk through the center of the Embassy is one of seeing art and culture of the Amazons on the walls, and the sense of just how well kept this large old mansion in New York is.

Diana's office is accessed via two double doors, and when opened, the Princess is there, seated behind her desk with her eyes upon her laptop. Sun shines through the windows behind her, as she looks up to the arrival of her appointment. "Ah. Hello." Diana says, standing up. She's wearing white slacks and a red sweater with a slim fit to its design, a tall neck that goes up to the middle of her throat, and a golden chain around it that dangles down to her collar bone with a red gemstone set in to it. Diana's hair is tied back in to a loose pony tail that sways a bit as she stands. Her makeup is light, with red lipstick to match her sweater.

"It is so good to meet you, Miss St. Crois."

Diana offers her right hand, a warm smile upon stepping around the corner of her desk.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would go to bow her hands together. "Thank you, Ma'am." Cursing herself for having not reviewed protocols for interacting with nobility, nor that of Themyscirans. This was a dumb mistake have overlooked. She would take her hands together and bow once more.

"It is a privilege and anhonor to be in your presence, ah.. Princess?" She would offer tentatively in the sort of way of someone unsure that it was the right thing to use to call someone. Going to then move to take her hands to her sides and give a formal curtsy, the type which she had been taught from a young age for formal events. Her posture is perfect. From the etiquette she has been trained in, her maneuvers are perfect. Ritual and tradition are enough to calm her and let her focus once more.

Diana Prince has posed:
All of this is more common to Diana, than anyone understand such nobility protocols. It just makes her smile to Monet. "'Diana' is all I ask to be called by." She says in her naturally soothing tone of voice, laced with a thick Themysciran accent. Diana then motions to one of the chairs across from her place at her desk.

"Please, have a seat." She says then as she proceeds back toher own chair, to lower down upon its edge, her back kept straight as ever.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting today, Monet?" She asks then.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Thank you for having me here." Being told to use something more informal is a surprise, but M can work with it. At the request to take a seat, she does so, gliding down over to the chair almost literally - shifting her weight in the way someone who is using hovering to smooth going down to it to make the movement look more natural.

"I am.. With the X-Men and I lack extensive training in combat and tactics. The Amazons have by far the most skilled teachers available and you have a large number of members with enhanced strength. I.. I would request to be trained so that I can improve myself."

Issue with admitting she is not as skilled in something and that she needs help. Painful. But necessary.

Diana Prince has posed:
This response gets Diana to tilt her head ever so slightly toward the right a little. "I am confused..." She says then before waiting a moment. "The X-Men..." She starts. "They are a very capable team of Mutants with combative skills. Are they not ... training you?" She asks then of Monety.

"I have a number of connections to the group, and am on very friendly terms with Professor Xavier. So this is a little unexpected." She explains some.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Diana, "Forgive me. I.. Was told to get in contact with here to be instructed and I was.. Not aware that there were already formal contacts open." From her body language Monet is very, very frazzled with herself. Very, very frazzled. And takes a breath. A short, short breath.

"I.. Have only been with the team for a.. Short time and I have not had any trainingi n the use of my abilities in.. Combat before then. I must improve myself to ensure I am not a liability and to show that I am worthy fo the trust they give me."

Diana Prince has posed:
The Princess dips her chin in another pair of small nods to Monet. "Yes, well. AS for helping you with your abilities in martial training..." Diana turns to the left side of her desk to gather up a small business card from a wooden holder. She then offers it across the desk to her.

"This card has all the information regarding the Themysciran Arts Center that is just across the park from here. It is there that we are offering training to others. Our arena there, specifically, is setup for this sort of thing. We train in the mornings, and evenings. Myself, and the other Amazons who are assigned to help guard the Embassy, and its people." Diana shows a quick smile then.

"If this is something you desire, then it /is/ possible. But it is not easy, by any means. You have to be ready for an arduous shcedule, and ... no small amount of accepting physical obstacles."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Diana and clasp her hands together over and give a nod, "I seek.. To better myself in other ways. I see the ways that I have.. Failed due to my lack of knowledge and preparation and must work to ensure they do not happen again." She would bow her head once more to take the card.

Going to commit the contents of it to memory and then fold it over in a hand, inspecting it for signs of anything else upon it. "I am used to things not being easy. And I am willing to work and perform whatever is required to improve myself. Skill must be earned, it is not done lightly or without effort."

Diana Prince has posed:
The Princess rests her hands on the edge of her desk surface now in front of her. She shows a quick smile at this response from Monety before she nods once. "Well. It does help that you have connections to the X-Men, though now I am quite curious to contact Miss Grey and find out why she is not properly training her people."

This gets a grin to show on Diana's visage. "I am teasing, of course. Please, when you do go back to them, send them my well wishes. I am needing to speak with Miss Grey, and Professor Xavier sometime soon in fact."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Diana, her expression flat but lightly amused, "Of course. I shall pass ita long to Ms. Grey when I next see her. Thank you again for your time and I will contact the arts center shortly." And probably make sure she's present for more Danger Room drills while going on.

"Thank you for your time. It is appreciated."

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana gives a happy grin then to the other across from her. "Of course. It really is a pleasure to meet more of the X-Men team. They are a ... boon to Mutantkind, and a cause I wish to support more in the future, I hope."

She'll stand up moments later and offer to walk Monety back to the foyer of the Embassy. "I look forward to seeing each other again too. If this is a path you really wish to pursue, it should be one of... enriching experiences. I might be a bit biased in my opinions there though."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Thank you. It is appreciated. And.. I need to learn. To improve myself. One cannot attain things if one does not pursue them." She might normally have put 'perfection' there.. But with Diana, she can be honest and does nto need that shell.

"I look forwards to seeing you again, when I have shown signs of progress." Not 'if' she makes progress. She will. That there is surety in her voice.
