Two Riders
Date of Scene: 15 January 2022
Location: Shadowcrest Manor - Bristol Township
Synopsis: Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch meet. With Sara serving as mediator, it goes about as well as you'd expect.
Cast of Characters: Daniel Ketch, Sara Pezzini, Johnny Blaze

Daniel Ketch has posed:
All in all Daniel has not gotten a very good impression of the gathering. Sure, a couple big names there, but where are Superman and Captain America? They said an army of billions of angels were coming, which is completely hopeless.

Well, not for the Ghost Rider. But he just doesn't know how stop fighting.

At least the food was decent. Which is good, since he has barely eaten the last few days. He kinda zoned out when they started talking about using Ghost Buster tactics on the angels. Or maybe it was because of the cookies.

Now it is over. They are going to look for magical places or something. Which apparently they can't be blown up to deny the angels access to them or whatever. That suggestion, immediately rejected, was his contribution to the whole meeting.

Only good news was the angels are no longer attacking New Yorkers, which means he can return to his apartment without the Rider immediately taking over and racing to Manhattan. That was his plan, until he spots Sara on the way out.

"Hey," he greets the woman, "we talked before, and could barely introduce myself properly. Danny Ketch. You met the other guy. Still amazed he stopped to talk to you."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
As the meeting came to an end, the results were much like the first meeting they had held. Numerous ideas thrown out there, information shared, no real answers or conclusions, check back later. With something as big as the heavenly host knocking on New York's door however, there wouldn't be any easy answers.

Sara checked on Cael before picking herself up off the floor, gave Bear a scritch on the head, set her coffee cup with the other dirty dishes and prepared to head to the parking lot. She'd be taking Ceak's bike home and Cael would have the loaner car from SHIELD to take Bear in.

As Daniel address her however, she pauses and looks him over. "Oh right! Nice to meet you Danny. I'm Sara, in case he didn't share that part and just screamed about the Witchblade." She offer a nod and her hand once she realizes who he is. "He was pretty adamant about not giving your name and I'm sure he stopped to talk because of Witchblade, he tends to draw attention from the Riders."

Even as she says that, she glances around to see if she can spot Johnny again. He's not hard to miss, in fact he would stand out in any room really. Daniel did, not for entirely the same reasons, but there were similarities that were hard to miss.

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Nothing is ever hopeless.

They could send wave after wave, and as long as people are standing up for the good fight and -fighting- the good fight, then they have as good a chance as any. As nice as it would be to have them, people don't need Superman or Captain America or Iron Man or Batman or the other big names. They just need the will to keep on fighting.

God, Johnny sounds like Captain America when he talks.

Yet, with the meeting over, Johnny maintained where he had been staying, his eyes moving over to Sara moment. He leans off of the wall, with Sara able to easily identify Johnny as he approaches. Full leather get up, of the biker variety, with a patch on the back that says 'Hell's Angels' on it, meaning he was likely part of a gang, or he's a one man gang.

"Sara." He greets her as he approaches, then his eyes look at Danny. Long and hard. "Who are you?"

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"Perhaps," admits Daniel. He doesn't remember what the Rider does, although often, upon transforming back, he gets some information. When the Rider thinks it is important. "Maybe it is just few people try to talk with him, not that I blame them," he shrugs.

"Anyway, I am returning to New York and I will drop by Grand Central if..." he glances at Johnny and frowns. He remembers a few of the things the other man said during the meeting. "That depends who is asking," he replies to Johnny's question, turning to face him.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Well it seemed the Ghost Rider's did not have any kind of secret handshake, which meant they weren't part of some hidden club.

Sara offers Johnny a nod as he approached, one brow lifting slightly. She wasn't certain what she had expected of the moment these two met, the macho however made perfect sense... but that wouldn't stop her from making snarky comments.

"Okay, that was so testosterony, I think my ovaries skipped a beat," she states blandly as she looks between them. "This how it goes, size each other up and see who has the bigger..." she grins with the pause. "... Spirit."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny narrows his eyes at Daniel as they measure each other up. Johnny can -sense- the presence in Daniel, his eyes narowing with some hellfire seeming to glow in his eyes, the burning red flame of th ebeing behind his eyes. Though as they look at each other.

"Name's Johnny Blaze."

He tells him then. "Gave you mine, now give me yours." The lack of trust palpable, and despite Sara's sexual tension comments, which he doesn't really reply to.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Daniel frown stays, he can feel something odd in Johnny, and it is not just the usual 'must be magic' he can sometimes sense. The young man clenches his fist and he is about to throw a punch when Sara speaks and... yeah, except it is not really testosterone, but it is just as visceral.

He looks away, trying to think. Maybe think a reason not to give his name. But Sara knows, and it is not important anymore. "Ketch, Daniel Ketch," he looks back at Johnny and takes a step back, to let him stand at Sara's side. "I am not hitting on your girl; she invited me to come here."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Men. If this was a meeting of two women, sure there would be a lack of trust, and they would be looking each other over just as intently, but there likely wouldn't be this sense of invisible arm wrestling that these two were giving off. Years of reading body language changed her tactics however, Johnny was standing his ground and Daniel was getting close to fight or fight mode.

"Not his girl," she states first. "Yes indeed I did invite you here, to check out the Justice League Dark... both of you need to take it down a notch. We're all allies here, or you wouldn't both be here."

A normal person who knew what these two men were would likely start backing up, perhaps even make some phone calls to arrange back up, not Sara. Instead while she is talking, she puts herself between the two of them.

"Johnny, I met Danny here a few days ago," she offers. "He's been helping in New York with angels, just like you." Eyes shift to Danny. "Danny, Johnny has been around for a bit now, helped take out Michael on the sixth. You two have a lot in common." that was an understatement. "So... how about we get some coffee or a drink, and just... talk it out?"

Johnny Blaze has posed:
"Not my girl." Johnny says in perfect, almost creepy unison with Sara. "It's not him." Johnny tells Sara, looking Daniel in the eyes. "It's what he's got riding passenger."

Spirit of Vengeances rules 101. Before Zarathos was bound by Mephisto into imprisonment, he used to fight and occasionally defeat Ghost Rider's and absorb their essences. This is why Zarathos is unique among the Spirits of Vengeance. With that in mind...Zarathos doesn't like Daniel's passenger.

and from personal experience dealing with similar Spirits of Vengeance who were more interested in distributing pain and anguish than justice, Johnny wasn't a fan either. Though honestly, it's Sara that prevents this from turning into a wild brawl. They both wanted the same things: the end of the angel invasion.

A win for humanity.

Johnny huffs, but he nods. "Fine. Let's go then, Ketch."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
On the other hand the Spirit of Vengeance that thinks of himself being 18th Century Puritan Noble Kala (but really, he is not) knew Zarathos as a glorious champion of divine justice, and knew he fell into demonhood long ago. And he has forgotten. Mostly forgotten. Instinctively, he 'remembers'.

He also knows Johnny is Naomi's kid, and he was loyal to his previous host.

But Daniel is not the Spirit of Vengeance, and all he knows is Noble is being weird. Which is normal. And annoying. He takes a deep breath.

"I would go for more coffee, maybe something stronger," he glances at Johnny. "So you a biker from the old times? Harleys and... wait, Blaze. There was a stunt driver called Blaze."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Glancing around, Sara looks back first at Johnny, then over at Daniel. "This isn't my house, no idea if they have anything stronger or not, thus why I said coffee."

Yep, she's still standing between them because Witchblade is having a lovely discussion in her head about the passengers they /both/ carry, and since this is Zatanna's home, sanctum, whatever name she calls it, she's not wanting either of them to light up right now.

"You want to go a bar, we can go to a bar," she then comments, once again turning blue eyes to each of them. "But that means both you keep the chill and don't let the guests out, deal?"

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny keeps his full attention on Daniel. He doesn't look away from him, like an animal who has spotted an equally dangerous predator and is unwilling to turn it's back to him. He looks this man in the eyes, unknowing of the ties that binded them spiritually and unaware of the ties that binded the Spirits together. He watches him, like a hawk. Then he takes a deep breath almost in synchronity with Daniel.

"Something stronger." Johnny agrees. Though on the matter of his biking, he nods. "Yeah. used to ride a Harley. It broke. So I'm riding a newer bike model. A Yamaha." Johnny suggests, and his old stunt career is brought up, and Johnny frowns.

"Yeah, there was."

Sara's words are not deafened. "Bar." Johnny says only once. "Deal." Johnny tells her, a softer look given to the bearer of the Witchblade, then he shakes his head and zips up his jacket to start moving that way.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
Guests out, plural. Daniel tenses, then grunts in assent. There are a few questions, but truth is he doesn't want to answer questions himself. There is an army to fight, after all. But if the mages here are right, they are not killing anyone right now.

"You know any Bar in the neighbor?" He asks, "I am from Brooklyn, and this area is all rich people houses." He heads out of the mansion anyway. They'll find a place, he is sure.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara is pretty sure she passed at least one bar on the way here, and given the neighborhood, it would likely be mostly empty. With the promise from each to keep their passengers in check, she moves to head out of the mansion as well. This place reminded her a lot of what Dick Grayson likely lived in, certainly matched the way the man celebrated his birthday, but those were thoughts for another time.

"About four miles up the road," she gestures once outside. "Little place there, or we can just go into Gotham." She looks between the two men one more time. Nope, she didn't trust their passengers at all.

"Actually, I think it's a good idea that both of you take the time to drive into Gotham," she finally states. "It'll give you both time to get some chill before we sit down and drink, also puts you both closer to a place to crash for the night if we drink too much."

She walks over to a motorcycle that Johnny would know as Cael's, not her own. "But I leave it up to you two to decide, the little place in ritz town, or Gotham."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Guests.

Johnny nods. "Yeah, there should be one a little bit north." Then Sara gives much more specific directions. "Yeah, something like that. Brooklyn or the place up north, doesn't matter much to me." Johnny turns and starts walking out of the Shadowcrest Manor, walking over to the aforementioned Yamaha VMAX that waited for him outside. Looks heavily modified, but Johnny mounts it and doesn't seem bothered with a helmet.

Maybe he'll get lucky and crash.

Though Johnny's attention shifts to Daniel. "Too many rich people houses for my liking."

"Brooklyn it is. Let's go." and Johnny turns on the engine, the beast roaring into the night as Johnny turns into a drift and starts to drive off that way.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"Yeah, lets get out of here. I guess Brooklyn is probably too far, I guess we will find a place along the way," because really, the only people that like Gotham are some Gothamites. Daniel's own motorcycle is something unclassifiable. Someone must have spent years modifying on that thing. It was probably a military vehicle at some point, given the armor plates. It must weight 500 lbs.

The engine sounds good, though. It is not even too loud. And although Daniel does have a helmet, he welcomes a few minutes ride to clear his head of the mystical crazy he has just heard about. Billions of angels, movies from the 80s as inspiration for tactics, multiple Ghost Riders. Hell. He really needs a drink.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara where's a helmet, she's not stupid. Even though Witchblade would likely armor her up should a crash actually happened, years of riding have put the habit in her mind to put that helmet /on/ her mind. Mounting up, she pulls out after the two Rider's, already muttering to herself just how much of a bad idea this really is. Take the two hot heads, literally hot, to a bar and get alcohol into them... smooth Pezzini, real smooth.

The ride isn't all that long, heading into Gotham. Sara wasn't exactly a regular in Gotham, in fact the entire time she was dating Dick, she only came to Gotham once for his birthday party, other wise she stayed in New York. Finding a bar was easy, Gotham was littered with them, some better than others of course, so she choose a decent one and parked. It was still a bad idea, but oh well.

Pulling the helmet off and laying it on the bike seat, she realized them it was Cael's helmet which made her chuckle.

"This place work for you two?" She asks, then immediately says. "Good, let's go inside. I'm buying."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
"That makes sense. Gotham it is. Pretty sure there's a pub down the way anyway." Johnny mentions with a bit of a shrug. Honestly? Johnny needs a really strong drink. Especially considering some the bullshittery the Justice League Dark has gotten up to. It's stressful, but it's part of the job. And truth be told?

Johnny loves every second of it. Though they all start to ride! He keeps riding and honestly? The peace and quiet of the open road is something that Johnny holds very close to his heart. He loves it.

He needs it.

He pulls into a parking spot, turning off his bike and dismounting, looking at Sara. He doesn't have time to answer before she says 'Good, lets go'. "You don't have to buy me everything, Sara." He tells her. "But I appreciate it." and he makes his way into the bar.

Daniel Ketch has posed:
There is something relaxing about driving a motorcycle. At least for Daniel. It is in his blood. He looks more comfortable when he takes off the helmet and joins Sara and Johnny. "We can take turns paying the rounds," he offers. He does need a strong drink himself, but will stick with beer since the ride back to Brooklyn is long and involves highways.

"So, heh," he starts, looking at Johnny. "You are a Ghost Rider. I read in the net there was one roaming the mid-west years ago, but nothing solid. Not that I really had time to investigate. I guess flaming skeletons on motorcycles are a bit too crazy for serious newspapers outside the big three cities."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
With a snort, Sara follows Johnny in, once again making sure she's between them. It's artfully done of course, not obvious and yet completely obvious.

"I'm buying for both of you," she retorts, taking a quick look around the room. Notice the exits, doors, windows, back hall, kitchen... note who else is in the room, bartender, waitress, two other customers at the bar, watching a game on the TV. She might not be a Gothamite, but she /is/ a New York Detective, and the habits that kept her alive before Witchblade are still useful with him.

"I can agree to taking turns," she then states, then picks a table away from the bar. Longer walk for the waitress, less likely to be overheard. "For New York, flaming skeletons are nothing. We've had aliens invade."

And now Sara pulls a sneaky... she orders each a beer and then a bottle of whiskey for the table. If there's too much alcohol, that's what motels were built for. Once beers and whiskey with glasses are on the table, she pours a bit of whiskey into each glass, picks one up and waits for the two of them to get right into it... which Daniel does not disappoint.

Johnny Blaze has posed:
"Rotating drinks, that I can do." Johnny informs the both of them. Somehow, Sara is sneaky enough to avoid identification by Johnny in the sense of ordering each a bear and a bottle of whiskey for the table, effectively probably covering the alcohol they're probably gonna get. At least until he sits down.

Getting a drink, he starts to sip at it. "Yeah. A Ghost Rider." He looks him in the eyes. "Can practically smell it on you that you're one too. Besides, nobody in their right minds would drive a bike like yours unless you were a Spirit like me."

Johnny shrugs then, though his attention falls on Sara. "Relax, by the way. We're probably not going to tear each other to pieces." He looks at Danny. "Not tonight, anyway. So, what's your story?"

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"The bike is his," comments Daniel, looking outside. Somehow the huge thing doesn't draw as much attention as it should. "It is a long story. Apparently the Rider has been in my family since the Eighteenth Century. I didn't get the full memo, I have been researching the past year, since my mother passed and I found out I was adopted. But there is not much one can find about supernatural events in library archives."

He shrugs. "I found the motorcycle in the Cypress Hills Cemetery. When my sister and I were chassed by assassins because we had interrupted a criminal deal by accident. She was injured, there was a lot of blood, and the bike..." he stalls and takes a whiskey shot. "Anyway, the Rider probably saved my life, but things went downhill from there."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The whiskey is the first thing Sara drinks, a couple of small sips then she sets the glass down and picks up the beer. She can already tell the tension is gone, but Johnny's assurance adds a little more confidence to her decision.

"I'm only going to add to this that you are both on the same side right now," once again blue eyes look between them. "So I'd greatly appreciate it if the two of you waited until after this heavenly host bullshite before you do decide to tear into each other. Maybe by then you'll realize you don't need to."

With a drink of the beer taken, she realizes that a lot of the violent thinking was actually coming from Johnny, or rather his passenger. Hopefully that would change.

"You're right that there's no open library with information like that," she then says to Daniel, her foot nudging Johnny under the table lightly. "But there's a /lot/ of libraries around here that aren't open to the public, if you catch my meaning. Might be some answers in there, if you stick around a bit, help out, join the Justice League Dark, help kick more angelic butt, all that good stuff."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny looks at Daniel. "I'm imagining." Though he frowns a little bit at the seemingly generational Ghost Rider business. He narrows his eyes. "Since the 18th century?" He starts to ponder, and looks as if he may ask a question, though honestly? He seems to silence himself a little bit. "Saved..." Johnny takes a deep breath. The violent thoughts are -definitely- coming from Zarathos and Johnny's holding him back.

"Well, maybe yours is different than mine. But if it saved your life, means you probably have - or had - something it wanted." He takes a breath. "The Rider saves lives, but it damns them too. Especially the host. It's probaby going to keep going downhill, man." He tells him. "But as long as you keep moving forward, you should be fine."

He smirks a little bit.

Though he turns his attention to Sara, as if to look at her for a moment. "We know." Johnny tells her with more of a straight face, though he takes a deep breath. He looks at Daniel then. "You would be welcome among the ranks."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"The Ghost Rider saves lives, yeah. And he almost never kills," which might surprise Johnny. "Something about it not being his... task. I don't know. Sometimes it feels he is not a real person, but some kind of machine, programmed for simple tasks and with little free will."

Which makes the offer to join the Justice League 'Dark' (why 'dark'?) a little strange. "Why would anyone have something like a Ghost Rider in a 'team'? That guy is not team player, he is like a... mad warrior you point in one direction, hoping he does more good than harm."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Another drink of the beer and Sara offers Daniel a smirk.

"Tactical advantage to sending something flaming at the enemy while the stealthy types use that distraction to get where they need to go," she states plainly. "There's another tactical advantage, heavy hitters like the two of you and myself, are rare. Individually, we can't be everywhere at once, but with three of us? Think about that from the stand point of a leader trying to protect as many of the people under his or her command as he or she can, three heavy hitters damn near impossible to damage."

A slight shrug of her shoulders is offered then, "Or perhaps I'm just thinking like a tactical leader and talking about my ass." She nudges Johnny under the table again then offers him a hint of a grin. "My perfect ass."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
"Your ass aside-" Johnny gives a pointed look at Sara, followed by a little bit of a grin, his attention shifts to Daniel for a moment. "It can be grappled. Vengenace isn't blind." He tells Daniel with a bit of a frown. "I've grappled mine long enough that we've come to a slow understanding, but that doesn't make the situation any better. But your Spirit is already different from mine, because mine -will- kill." Johnny looks Danny in the eyes then.

"Don't know how you got something that doesn't kill, only punishes, but count yourself lucky. Maybe we're on two different scales of Ghost Rider, but that doesn't change anything. If he needs to be pointed, then point him in the right direction and hope either you or the Rider learn."

He takes a breath. "I wasn't a team player. Then I got on a team." He tells him then, though he looks over at Sara. "Difficult, not impossible." At least the Witchblade seemingly was. Johnny's been riding long enough to know when he's gonna get hurt in a fight, either as the Ghost Rider or...well, as himself. But she was right. "But, she's right. Heavy hitters, sure." He shrugs then. Though nudged under the table, he nudges her right back.

"But, we'd be honored to have you join us, Daniel. Even learn to work together."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"You talked with him," he notes to Sara. Daniel reaches for the beer now, letting the whiskey set down into a pleasant buzz. "Few have managed to have a normal conversation with him... Blade did, I think, but he is not much of a team player either. But I think this invasion makes necessary for all of us to work together."

Which means he will. The Rider? Who knows?

That Johnny's spirit is different is interesting, and surprises Daniel for a second. But then again, why should they be the same? Appearance hints they are the same kind of creature, but they could be as different as two humans can be different. Which means they could be dealing with two completely different persons with the same powerset. Of course... because nothing could ever be simple about the Spirit of Vengeance. Spirits. Two of them. And now he has to wonder if there are more somewhere.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara nods to that statement, she had in fact talked to him. It had even been a real conversation, not like when she talked to the other one, or tried to talk to the other one. Her blue eyes shift to Johnny for a moment, there were differences alright.

"I met Noble before I met Daniel," she offers calmly. "Was a decent conversation, and he is very protective of Daniel here... but it wasn't enough for me to see if he was a team player or not, but something tells me... he's not, just like..." nope, she won't say the name, she'll just gestures at Johnny. "... isn't really a team player."

Looking between then a moment she adds, "It means that you two have to keep them in check, just like I have to keep Witchblade in check. That said, I have to admit, all the whispering in my head from him over all this tells me, I'd be honored to work with both of you, and both of them."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny looks at Daniel, though his gaze turns to Sara upon talking with Noble Kale. He takes a deep breath. "It's either we work together, or the humanity suddenly goes extinct. I suppose it's as good a reason as any for a bunch of anti-team players to come together." Johnny suggests with a bit of a grin as he takes a sip of his beer. Though as for if there's more? Well...Johnny knows the answer to that question.

Even met a few of them.

Though he looks at Sara for a moment as she suggests she even met Noble Kale. "Must have been friendly if you're still alive." Johnny suggests then. He knows she can take care of herself. But sometimes, depending on the Rider, the raw power of the Ghost Rider can cause serious damage.

Though he hums a moment. "Yeah. Team player." He takes a deep breath. "Thanks Sara. It's appreciated."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
The way they talk about Johnny's Rider makes Daniel think maybe he got a nice one. Noble never attacks innocents, although he has been known to injure some people that stand in his way or shoots him (like Brooklyn cops) that are not criminals. But he has never used hellfire or the penance stare in any policemen or regular citizen.

He ponders that while he finishes his beer and asks for another round. His turn to pay.

"Right. I will be at Central Station most of the... well, until this is over, and if the Ghost Rider doesn't go rampaging through armies of angels and gets killed."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara finishes off her beer, then settles on sipping the whiskey. What doesn't get consumed will be taken home, Cael preferred whiskey, she'd finish it off.

"Well, right now it's about keeping the damn angels from hurting innocent people," she snorts. "They aren't attacking unless attacked, but we all know it won't stay that way."

She glances over at Johnny. "Noble was actually quite considerate, but he could sense Witchblade as readily as he was sensed and known by him. We're an interesting bunch, we all have our passengers to deal with."

Blue eyes shift back to Daniel, "I've been staying out of Manhattan, Witchblade draws the angels like moths to flames, or so we both believe, and the last thing I want is to draw them out for fighting when Sims has said don't do that."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny nods softly to Daniel. "Yeah. We'll know where to find you then, it's our headquarters throughout all of this angel invasion bullshit." Johnny smiles a little bit at Daniel, though he nods. "Believe me, Daniel. It's -very- difficult to kill a Ghost Rider. Nearly impossible, actually." Because only a specific kind of weapon can even physically harm them. Though that's not saying the right amount of magic can't hurt them.

Johnny's eyes turn to Sara then, sipping on the whiskey after his beer bottle is left empty. Though his eyes rest on Sara, he hums for a moment. "True, but we are running out of opportunities to avoid fighting. No doubt soon, the angels will be on the offensive when Michael arrives."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"Right, it is not as if they have not killed many already," and that makes Noble very demanding. He demands vengeance, but without the immediate threat of people dying, Daniel can keep him caged. "But they managed to hurt the Rider enough he couldn't heal quickly and had to leave Manhattan for a while." That is when Sara found him. Shortly after the angels stopped attacking and the Rider let Daniel return to recover in the void.

"So, what is your story, Blaze?" He asks, asking the older man directly.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
There it was. Sara had been waiting for Daniel to ask Johnny to share, after all he had already told a bit about himself. Turning her head slowly, she nudged him a little more under the table, her expression reading 'fess up' at the man. Even as she gives him that look, she slides the whiskey bottle his way just in case.

"Noble looked pretty beat up," she admits with a slight nod. "I wondered, but I wasn't going to add, 'Hey, you look pretty fucked up, want help?' to a first meeting."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Johnny seems to go silent as Daniel manages to strike him at his heart. Tell him about himself. Why would he? Can Ketch be trusted? Is it possible for two Ghost Riders to truly rely on one another? It's a competitive field.

*bump*.

Johnny looks at Sara as she nudges him a little bit more under the table, looking at her with a 'yeah, yeah, get off my back about it' kind of look to her, before he sighs. "Sold my soul to try and save my father's life."

Daniel Ketch has posed:
"What?" Of all things, Daniel didn't expect that. Sold what? How does that even make sense? "To a demon?" Because he knows a little about that kind of thing. But why does that have anything to do with the Ghost Riders?

But it looks like Johnny doesn't want to talk about it. Maybe Sara's kicks will make him talk, but really, Daniel is not comfortable forcing a confession out of anyone.

"You know what? I don't think it is important now," he decides, standing up after finishing his second beer. "I am going back to New York. We will see each other soon. And if we are still here in a month, maybe we can talk about this again."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
As Johnny just spits out the worst possible part, with no explanation or additional comment, Sara just stares at him like snakes sprouted from his forehead and slithered across his face. What could she possibly say? That wasn't exactly what she had in mind for sharing, you start small and work up to 'sold my soul' stuff.

She finally blinks and looks back to Daniel. "You have my number, if you need anything... a place to crash, food, clothing, someone to talk to, more alcohol, /anything/ at all... call me." She stands then and offers her hand to him. "It was nice to meet you Daniel, let's hope the next time we meet is in a friendlier situation."

Johnny Blaze has posed:
Well, it looks like Johnny's people skills haven't brushed off at all. Was that intentional for him to do that? Who knows, who could say? Though as he watches Daniel's myriad of reactions. "Something like that." Johnny sips his whiskey, and he watches as Daniel starts to get up and announces his departure.

"Take care, Danny. Call if you need us."

and Johnny is going back to his whiskey like nothing even happened. Though he looks at Daniel, almost an apology in is eyes, but he doesn't voice it.
