Synopsis: Boonsri and her dad are building shopping when Arsenal stops a pickpocket
Cast of Characters: Boonsri Chietsonkrit, Roy Harper

Boonsri Chietsonkrit has posed:
Kingston is an odd blend of old Gotham and new Gotham. On the one hand, there are new and up to date business buildings with ritzy lights oddly contrasting with gothic architecture. On the other hand, there are structures that should probably have been condemned and removed a couple years ago but somehow linger on. Similarly, the businesses are a classically American hodge podge of eastern and western alongside each other such as the Kane Building as an exquisite model of western capitalism in the vicinity of the likes of Pho Gedda Bout It and Sushi Yushu.

Boonsri is walking down the sidewalk her hands in her trench pockets next to a slightly taller man with similar albeit hard chiselled features. A handlebar mustache rests beneath his nose and his hair resembles that American military style nicknamed the airhog, shaved on the sides and allowed to grow out on the crown where it is brushed back to stand on its own. Dark piercing eyes seem to warn other pedestrians not to trifle with this hard bodied couple for beneath that military jacket there ripples a hard toned frame. Calloused knuckles attest to that.

The duo come to light before an abandoned but reasonably intact two story building across from Sushi Yushu where they converse in a tongue that some might recognize as Thai. Perhaps obscure enough in Gotham where the Vietnamese and Han are the more prevalent Asian communities.

Roy Harper has posed:
An abandoned building is Roy's jam right now. He came here to be alone. There's a short abutment wall extending from the building supporting some semblance of grassy dirt in a mostly failed attempt to give the area some sort of suburban appearance. The grass is, at the moment, covered in snow but were it not it would be brown and dry and poorly maintained.

Sitting on the abutment, his back resting against the building and his legs extended out along the low wall, is Roy. He's wearing jeans and old beat-up Dockers, and a leather jacket is zipped all the way up against the cold. He's holding a small bottle of Captain Morgan in his hands, staring at it intently as his breath feathers out into the cold Gotham air. He definitely doesn't look old enough to buy booze, so who knows how he got it. He rubs a thumb absently along the bottle's label, staring at it like it was a sparring partner rather than a beverage.

Boonsri Chietsonkrit has posed:
The older Thai man nods absently as Boonsri steps towards the building where she points at one place and gushes enthusiastically before pointing at another, arms spreading wide in an encompassing manner. The man hrms and gesticulates slightly as he replies in calming tones to which Boonsri replies with furrowed brows, arms folding.

When a small group strolls by, the duo approach the building to vacate the sidewalk. It's morning, and it's Sunday. People are as likely walking to breakfast as to Sunday Service.

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy's gaze shifts to look at the two who seem to be involved in some conversation regarding the empty building. Maybe they're scouting locations for a new business. They should probably pick somewhere other than Gotham. Somewhere far away from Gotham.

Then the young man's eyes move toward the group of people walking along the sidewalk. His is an observant nature and in Gotham City who knows what shenanigans even a casual Sunday-morning crowd can get up to. Once the crowd passes by, Roy's attention returns to the two possible building shoppers. It pulls his attention from the sealed rum bottle, but his thumbs still glide over its surface absently.

Boonsri Chietsonkrit has posed:
A few moments later, the man feels his pockets and rounds to yell at the group!

They haven't gotten far, but they have a headstart on Boonsri as she takes off after them like the crack of a whip! She's not even five and a half feet in height, but she hauls ass like a sprinter down the sidewalk after the pickpockets!

Roy Harper has posed:
For the love of God, can't a depressed guy just sit down and break his six-month sobriety streak in peace in this town. Well it /is/ Gotham, after all. So yeah, no that isn't going to happen. As the pickpocket's path takes him closer and closer to Roy, the kid has a decision to make. He looks down at his sealed, unopened rum bottle, then at the thief, then at the bottle, then at the thief, then at the bo...well, you get the idea.

With a heavy sigh, Roy stands up from the low abutment that he was relaxing on and WHIPS THE FUCKING BOTTLE AT THE PICKPOCKET'S HEAD! It's a sudden, vicious, violent act that is utterly devoid of mercy. First off, he's Arsenal. His aim is perfect. That bottle shatters into a hundred pieces on the side of the runner's head. Second, the would-be thief goes down on the ground, not unconscious but very dazed -- and very smelling of rum.

Roy sits back down on the low wall and lets out another sigh. "You owe me twenty bucks," he says rhetorically to the dazed, semi-conscious thief.

Boonsri Chietsonkrit has posed:
The short track star almost stumbled over the suddenly dropped pick pocket, whose accomplices do in fact stumble and take stock of their new situation in confused fashion!

Boonsri hastily scampers over to pry her dad's wallet from his grasp before rising to confront the duo. Squaring herself up, she shoves the wallet into a pocket inside her coat and balls her fists. One of them goes to step up and is promptly greeted with a combat boot to the mouth before he gets in reach!

Odds dwindling, that sends them packing, comrade abandoned as Boonsri returns to where she was at a leisurely pace.

Roy Harper has posed:
When combat ensues Roy doesn't even so much as bother standing up. He's a trained warrior and he can tell this girl is /more/ than capable of handling herself against this chump. He watches with no small satisfaction as she high-kicks the idiot into next week.

"Nice kick," he says offhandedly. His tone is not exactly enthusiastic, but it's friendly enough for someone who was about to make a major mistake five minutes ago.

Boonsri Chietsonkrit has posed:
The small fry peers over at Roy with a gaze that is something more than dark eyed. Her eyes are like drops of ink within white. She and her dad both regard Roy for a moment before she replies,"Nice throw."

She'll rejoin her dad and inquire over,"Do you know anything about this building?"

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy gets up off the abutment again. It's probably best to get out of here before GCPD shows up. Oliver won't be happy if he has to send his lawyers to Gotham again to get Roy out of jail. He glances at the rum-soaked pickpocket, then at the building shoppers, then at the small crowd who definitely is filming him on various cell phones. Shit. He strolls away at a quick pace.
