Joan Wright has posed:
Joan is a long way from home. But considering the prospect of some events making the New York Area very busy for Damage Control in the near future, the company's made sure that their ready to respond types are- Well ready to respond. And so with the start of the work week, Joan is once again checking nearby major cities for back up options for sourcing needed supplies for rebuilding efforts.

So that explains her being in Metropolis.

As for what she's doing in this burger joint of all joints? Well. She's hungry. It's cold outside, and this place wasn't crowded to the pont where the line was out the door. So the cargo pants wearing architect stands in line, safe from the wind chill outside. The brown haired woman tilts her head, peering around the tall person in front at her to look to the menu and pictures on display. Odd place. But, she heard the burgers are delicious.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
The tall person in front is Felicia Hardy, her blonde hair toed into a half pony tail with the rest of her hair falling in waves beneath it down onto her shoulders. She has a black pair of sunglasses resting on her head, locking her hair behind her ears casually as she looks up to the menu. A thick crocheted off beige color sweater keeps her warm with the long turtle neck and the excess of fabric up there behaving like a loose scarf, hugging her, but resting over her neck and shoulders. A pair of black pants and a black pair of furry boots keeps the warmth locked in.

With a glance back to make sure of her surroundings Felicia spots Joan and quickly steps aside, "Here, you go ahead of me honey, I'm not sure what I want yet, and I take forever to make up my mind." She says, putting a hand out to brush Joan's shoulder and invite her to take the taller woman's spot in line.

Joan Wright has posed:
For a burger place there are a lot of options on display. Each just slightly different than the one before. Joan quietly skims through the listing, quietly baffling at what is being conveyed on the display. Ok so they have the single, the double, the triple, the quadruple, the quintuple, the sex- Oh gosh. That's a lot of meat.

So lured in by the pull of the train wreck that is the menu, the fact that Felicia's looking at her is completely missed by the shorter woman. That is until the older woman directs her offer to Joan. The brunette turns her head, looking over to Felicia, seeming a bit surprised. "Oh! Sorry I didn't mean to crowd you -"

Wait. She's letting her skip ahead? "Oh. Thank you." She allows for herself to be guided in front of her momentary benefactor. "They definitely have a lot on there but I'll probably just go for the single."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I'd agree, but people keep telling me I need to eat more, so... why not go wild and treat myself." Felicia responds as she shuffles behind Joan and smiles, "With avocado and ... mmmm, honey mustard." Felicia says, sounding like she's brushing up against something sinful, but, is being talkative while reading the menu herself.

The line shuffles forwards and the tall blonde continues to read the menu, stepping up behind Joan again as space is made briefly because she was caught oggling something on the boards above. "Mint Chocolate Milkshake." She murmurs to herself before motioning quietly to the person starting to take Joans order than Felicia will be paying for both Joans and her own. Try to do something nice PG once said.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan finally makes her way up to the counter. Despite the temptation of the milkshake she looks to the cashier, ordering a single burger with bacon, cheese, and bbq sauce with a side of small fries. As for the drink? Coffee.

As she pulls out her wallet, she ends up giving another surprised look as the cashier refuses to take her card and gestures to Felicia. Joan turns her head, wide eyed, "Oh no, I couldn't-"

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"And you aren't." Felicia interrupts as she steps up beside Joan, and starts to speak her order. The double with avocado, honey mustard, and adding bacon. With a milkshake and secret sauce drizzled on the fries. She's certainly taking the advice to 'Eat a Burger' seriously. A black card is pulled from her wallet and she extends it over to the clerk and smiles as she pays for their food.

"Thank you." Felicia says before she walks over to a booth and sits down, and pats the spot on the table opposite her with a few rapid claps with her finger pads. "Come, join me, they're gonna bring it all out together anyways." Felicia smiles a cheery grin with her face still slightly red from the cold. "This your normal town or are you kicked out too?"

Joan Wright has posed:
"U-" Joan is quiet as she watches Felicia move beside her and order. By the time words find their way back to her lips, the black card is seen being passed along. She gives a defeated nod. "Ok." She agrees, pulling a few bills before sliding it back into one of her many pockets. As she turns to step away, she reaches over to put the bills in the tip jar on the counter.

The architect walks alongside Felicia, glancing up to her as she continues speaking. "I'm not kicked out persay, but I am from out of town." Joan allows, "...Are you a New Yorker?"

Has to be.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Sitting in the booth, and then rising up and shifting her weight, Felicia curls her feet underneath herself on the bench, and kind of leans towards the wall, her elbow on the table as she keeps her posture with a hand on her cheek, supporting her whole head. "Yeah. Didn't think I'd be getting a room in Metropolis any time recently and yet..." She lifts up her free hand and motions around to the area vaguely before slapping it down on her hip and keeps looking to Joan. "What about you?"

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan's slide into the booth is a bit more conservative. She starts to lean back but upon finding the gap between back and cushion to be too much, she ends up sitting ridgid. Hands folded as she rests them on the table. "I live in the Long Beach area but my office is in Manhattan." She allows, "Construction company of sorts. So, right now I'm in town sourcing alternative places we can get materials for any repair requests we get called in for."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"You had materials IN Manhattan... wow." Felicia repeats aloud as she ponders and observes Joan and makes a subtle nod that the woman might be some sort of military background, and to not mess with her in any situation and appear like any sort of threat. That would go poorly.

"Construction has high turnover, I can imagine the new year being the busiest time with setting up new projects while still being kind of slow on the current ones, but I just live there, I don't know nothing about building anything." She says, showing off her dainty hands, a few cuts and bruises and bumps, but nothing like a construction workers, but not really the chic kind of persona vibe she's been giving off.

Joan Wright has posed:
"With our company, business is rarely slow." Joan comments. Now normally one would probably say this with a smile, but there appears to be a bit of a sigh in there. "But, it is challenging and very interesting for an architect like me. They pay well enough to try and prevent turnover."

Joan considers the blonde woman and the hands being shown. "What industry are you part of?"

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"Oh, I'm a world renowned cat burglar." Felicia says with as deadpan a face as she can muster before a twitch tugs at her lips and a smile forms. "No. I'm an influencer, but I like to keep myself busy with crafts and cooking when I'm back home." Felicia says, waving her hand towards Joan in a playful bantering sort of way. "I'm on insta and tiktok all the time but it's hard to keep up with some trends sometimes, but y'know, gotta do it to keep your name on other's phones."

Joan Wright has posed:
"Oh." Joan gives a nod, "...I have a twitter account. That's about it. Not much of a cook either. But I can build a house like nobody's business."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I avoid twitter. That place can be a shit hole of negative nancys." Felicia says, not watching her langauge but still raising an eyebrow towards Joan, "Really? Like... bricks and internet and garages and the whole shebang?"

Joan Wright has posed:
"Well, it does help to give instruction if you know what those you're instructing are having to do." Joan replies, "I'd rather the electrical go to the electricians and the plumbing go to the plumbers, but I have enough of an understanding to be useful should there be an issue."

As the tray of food is brought over, Joan's eyes widen. "Oh wow that was quick. Well, thank you for the meal."

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"Thank you for bringing us the food!" Felicia says with a bat of her eyes at the waiter who shuffles off and back behind the counter. "That makes sense." Felicia nods towards Joan as she shifts on her feet, but still sitting very tall because of her position and overall height. She has her eyes light up with a joy as she holds up her nearly dripping burger and smiles before she opens wide while holding it in both hands. "Thank /you/ for the company, now don't judge me as I devour this b***h."

    CHOMP!
