Galvanizing the Gauntlets
Date of Scene: 25 January 2022
Location: Labs - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: Sarah Rainmaker goes to Damian to ask for help repairing her gauntlets.
Cast of Characters: Sarah Rainmaker, Damian Wayne

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
She's sitting in a corner of the labs. Sarah Conner has just very, very slowly taken out a large wrapped bag which is clinking. From the bag she would take out two bulky looking gauntlets that would be recognizable as the ones she had been wearing since she had come to the Titans.
The Gauntlets looked like they had taken a flamethrower to them. The metal of them was cracked and warped, the inner bits still smelling of ozone days later, the electronics all fried.. She would gingerly take them from the bag, then a small flash drive in another hand.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Robin was working on the current issue regarding the angels. He had been coordinating with Dr. Richards on the idea, but was still hung-ho on using entropy to confine the angels in Manhattan.

The young man had been wearing goggles and was focused on a piece of technology, with a micro-soldering iron in his hand. The removal of the gauntlets had him look up from the table, before looking back down at the circuit. He was dressed in his Robin costume, even his mask was still on under the goggles, the only thing that was missing was his cape, which in its stead was a lab coat, fully showing off his crew cut without his hood up.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would glance at Robin. "Greetings." Her voice rather raw compared to the previous time she had at least been speaking. She was looking at the remnants of her gauntlets, going to put a flash drive into a computer.. And then slowly upending the bag from which would pour out dust, cracked circuits, glass, and melted plastic.
"DAMMIT." She would swear and clench her fist tight enough to draw blood.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian looked up from his project, and placed the soldering iron in its holder. "Hello." He speaks while taking off his goggles. "Electrical or accelerant?" He asks, plainly, before staring at the pulverized remains of the gauntlets.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would hold her hand up and over and some lightning would sizzle on it, "Fifty million joules. My maximum capacity, I think. There's only so much resistance and insulation they can take, and it was well past it." She would move to the side to let him see better.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"If that is how they met their demise, you would be lucky if you got anything left."

Robin takes the gauntlets in, looking and examining them to get an idea of how they were made. "Do you have access to the schematic?" He asks, continuing to look at the tech. "Yes, these are well and truly buggered."

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would go to pass over the flash drie, "The last version of them at least. A.. Friend did some work on them to make them better and lighter that isn't in there." By 'friend' she probably means 'Caitlin'. "You put it very politely." She would attempt to make a joke

Damian Wayne has posed:
Robin takes the thumb drive before looking over the charred and zapped remains of the gauntlets. "Okay..." Before he sets down the items. "Give me a couple of days, a week at most. And I can get you a worthwhile replacement. I needed a distraction from this..." He gestures to the angel-trap he was working on before. "This will be a welcome distraction."

His words were to the point and very precise, he was restrained, but his ire was not toward Sarah's conundrum, it was solely aimed at the situation in Manhattan.

Sarah Rainmaker has posed:
Sarah Rainmaker would nod, "Thank you, I.. I'm new here and I know I'm not coming at the best time. I appreciate everything that you and the Titans are doing for you. And I owe you a debt that I can never repay." Left unsaid is the 'if we survive that long'. "And I appreciate it. I could.. Clean and maintain them. Never make any modifications."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"No problem." Damian offers, before walking over to a computer and putting in the thumb drive. "Lighter composite for sure, perhaps something to insulate more. But then again, they have to..." he trails off, before looking up. "It is what teammates do for each other." He offers, before continuing down the rabbit hole of finding things to change up and improve on the design.
