Date of Scene: 30 January 2022
Location: Warehouse in Hell's Kitchen on the side of the river
Synopsis: Black Cat makes a mistake and requires rescuing. Emma, Mike, Jennifer, Tabitha, and Ted all come to rescue her. They're big damn heroes in a night of horror.
Cast of Characters: Felicia Hardy, Emma Frost, Jennifer Walters, Ted Kord, Michael Hannigan, Tabitha Smith

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Thursday night and a winter storm has blown through much of the north east, as well as the rest of the country. A silence from the snowfall has crept into the city like during no other time. This silence is when Felicia decided to act. Black Cat is doing some sleuthing tonight with the goal to prove that she has an earned right to be in the Avengers, and isn't in on pure nepitizm.

So the former thief has tracked down a shady shipment of some nefarious chemicals to an unmarked warehouse off the bay, and the woman in the cat suit, slipped in. Doing simple recon tonight was the plan, but while she was getting deeper and deeper into the facility, she brushed past a cage, with her phone pointed towards it, capturing the sights in order to make a presentation later. A lengthy claw swipes out and catches the latch and the thief gasps as she taught herself to do. Gasps are always safer than screams. The cage is rattled and the suit is cut.

Felicia recoils and holds her arm up and eyes the gash in her suit and her arm with an explitive. And that's it. Felicia hears a rumbling in the facility, and a galloping sound on the floors rushing towards her in all directions. "Shit." Felicia then turns the phone on herself and starts a new message, an SOS from an Avenger's sanctioned app for her to send out a cry for help in a dire situation.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is walking back from somewhere having been on a stroll along the perimter of the city. In the distance away from the blockade of those whom were watching the angels and the evacuated section of Manhattan. There aren't that many around so when there's a sensation pouring out of a level of total distress and desperation along a sense of anger and is picking up.. Well, she goes immediately in that direction. Emma is making quick, confident strides as she's going along, moving to take rapid steps. Going to send out mental sweeps of the area, starting to try and get a better idea as to what is going on by directly scanning minds to see if she can pick them up more confidently.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer happens to be in town when the alarm goes off on her comms. Her office had the misfortune of being broken into while the city was evacuated and she had come in to take stock of the damage. Which was minimal. Who the heck robs a law office anyway? It's not like you keep petty cash around, and most of her clients are pro bono.

Grateful for the break of taking inventory to make sure that they hadn't wandered off with sensitive case files, she grabs her coat and hastily makes her way to where the location is at.

It doesn't take her long to get there. The streets are mostly deserted after all. There she waits for a while to see who else might answer the distress instead of just charging right in.

Ted Kord has posed:
And what is the Blue Beetle, man of action (!), doing to night? "I'm freezing my ass off. The heating elements in this uniform are not working right! the ResistWeave is not insulating... which is great in summer. Not so great now. I ducked three big old angels. The idea of freezing to death doesn't appeal." Then he gets an Avengers distress call on his ear bud.

"I wonder who that could be? I better find out before a heavy hitter comes along and spoils all the fun." The Blue Beetle leaps off the windy roof and his aero-discs carry him towards the location.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike doesn't have an app telling him of some SOS coming from an Avenger. Hank's got his phone number if need be. But, being it's been a chaotic few weeks, he' opted to get out a bit to clear his head. And well, if he can fly a bit that's perfectly fine for him.

Clear the head. That was at least the plan, but one tends to see more than planned when using phantasm abilities to fly. In this case, the raven formed being saw a Jennifer seeming rather intent on getting somewhere fast. Using his bird's eye view to keep track, the bird follows after Jen's path, reaching the warehouse as well.

He comes in for a landing on a nearby fence, the reasonably large bird turning his head to look to Jen, giving a wing wave. "...Everything alright?" Mike's voice queries the Avenger.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Sure it's a lazy night but for would be X-Woman in training that is Tabby smith that isn't always a good thing. So she's currenly stuck walking through warehouse districts with maybe a little buzz in her head and an ear worm of 80's rock stuck in her head that never stays the same song but like the bits that stick with you on shuffle.

Dressed to avoid the New York weather, she wears a red leather bomber jacket with a fleece lining over a pair of jeans in a lighter shade of pink. A little choker that looks more a spikey dogs' collar around her neck with a tiny red Explosion shaped pendant in pewter. a belt to match the choker and clunky black combat boost help with the keeping warm while a red wool beanie sits atop her head to make her short but wildly spiked forward bangs in check, along with some red on red tinted cat eye sunglasses on her nose keeps wind oof those blue eyes.

sometimes random proximity to superhopr worthty stuff can be a pain. It's how she ended up nealy choking to death on molten plastic fumes that she still might be recovering from. But the alarm on her phone goes off and there's a distress thing. "This better not get me yelled at again." For someone who might currentlky have a hero complex, Tabby seems reluctant but still presses on cause that the Hero thing. she mutters and starts the job as quick as she can to the scene of the alert.

At least when she gets there she sees some familiar faces. Ted Kord gets the mother of all sheepish embarrassed blushed. "Ummm, Hi Ted. Wanna talk stuff but hero time. Need less crazy brain to do stuff instead of mopey regret stuff. 'Kay?" she says and smiles.

Even seeing Emma and others gets smiles less embarrased. "Thank god I don't have to come up with plans myself!" she says sounding relieved

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Outside it's a rather non-descript warehouse, some graffiti on the sides, and an iron fence wraps around the parking lot which doesn't have more than a few handful of cars parked. There's a single bright LED light on the side of the facility facing the parking, and a few hidden cameras. The place seems empty enough, like a few cars were left to stay over night as they are all covered in the snow, untouched. It feels plenty safe to approach.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is going along carefully over while making sure to stay out of sight. Not quite joining the group though seemingly aware of their position - if only due to the cluster of minds coming together. Not attempting to read them yet or do anything. She would frown upon attempting to scan the warehouse. That was.. Unusual. And not something she could quite get off the top of her head. Tapping a perfetly manicured finger over her cheek, going to speak into the communicator that she had.. But only speaking to Tabitha rather than the group as a whole.
<<I'm picking a cluster of.. Feral minds. No higher thought processes, almost beastial in nature. I'm wary of scanning further from my position without knowing more on it and risk giving them a warning of your approach.>>

Jennifer Walters has posed:
"Right," says She-Hulk, putting her hands on her hips. "Looks like we got a crowd. Anybody know why Black Cat would be poking around in a warehouse?" She looks around to those assembled, noting she's the only actual Avenger and shakes her head, mumbling, "Probably not."

There's a few faces she recognizes, and others that she doesn't. "Right, well. Anybody here good with infiltration to check out the place? I'm not exactly the subtle one here. Hulk smash and all. If not I'll just kick the door down, and you all stand behind me in case there's any gunfire."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The Raven turns its head to look to the nearby warehouse and then back to She Hulk, giving a birdy sized shrug. Then talk of infiltration comes into play and a wing raises up. "I'm pretty ok at being unseen." Unsmelled, unheard... Yeah yeah. There's the general picture.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord has dropped down to join the group. He raises his hand at Jen's question and points to himself. Adopts a stealthy pose, hovering on the aero-discs. He pulls a pry bar out of his backpack and shoots up towards the roof. Dang skylights. They armor them thicker than a Normandy pill box. No trust anym...

"Shit. A talking bird."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
"At least the building isn't on fire and the odds of smelling like plastic is low?" Tabby states to the arriving heroes. There's some major urges to squee and fangirl and thos herte familiar with Tabby can probably see it in her features but she at least seems eager to do the hero thing around others.

"Soo I can kinda be sneaky enough. If I yell come in swinging. If there's am SOS, folks probably expect us right?" Tabby quietly says and starts running towards the building and hopefully sweeping arond the camera's vierw when she sees it all sneaky and hunkering. Hunkering is important as is bluetooth headsets.

<<At least you can tell them apart from me! If I don't scream I can let you known when to kick in the walls and be real heroes?>> Boomie states in a whisper as she tries to make her way inside with as much stealth an impulsive street rat can muster. Patience is not a strong suit but she's trying to be good.

Emma Frost has posed:
There would be the mental equivalent of a sigh from Emma Frost <<Do pay attention. You're representing yourself in a group of those in more established groups. It would behoove you to focus and to not let yourself drift. This is an opportunity for you to make connetions and contacts>> She would go once more to sweep ahead wiht her mind. Emma is attempting to not have her presence be known, attempting to not announce herself or do anything to stand out. For her own reasons no doubt. But still.. Ready to if the opportunity came to lend her aid beyond gathering cursory telepathic information.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
She-Hulk watches as Ted and Tabitha go off. She looks over to Mike and says, "Guess I'll just wait here, then." She folds her arms and waits patiently for the explosions to begin. It's a warehouse. There's always going to be explosions.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The Raven lowers his wing, turning his head at the curse. Taking in the Blue Beetle Costume, a smirk that's unnatural on a bird beak appears. "Shit." He responds back, mirroring Ted's comment, "A talking beetle."

Hearing Tabitha he looks over, listening to her introduction that turns run.

The bird blinks. "Did she- Guess we're going now." He comments, shaking his head as he hops off the fence, flying across the lot and high over Tabitha's head through the warehouse wall. Doors? What's that?

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord snaps the lock on the skylight finally. Engineering degree. He glares at the bird. "I'm just a human dressed AS a beetle. You are a sentient bird."

Carefully opening the light, he peers down into the gloom. Wait what gloom? He has LI goggles. He adjusts them. "Now I'm getting attitude from birds."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabby nods in her head and Emma can feel the understanding from her warniing. There's even a mental image of a grown up Tabitha. Long hair, ponytails, even filled out into her mid twenties hogtying the image of a younger teenaged Tabitha, much skinnier and gagged so she doesn't squee or swear.

Wild exploding women botching recon work does not get you invited to the grown ups table. <<Very very important, But I know I'm not alone here. I got a pro I am actually trusting with holding my leash now.>> she mentals with a mix of playfulness and actual appreciacion for Emma's presence and keeps those wilder thoughts down because you never know who is listening.

Tabby is a work in progress.

Once inside and throigh the doors. Thankfully no one followed up on Felicia as far as Boom-Boom.

Sneaky sneaky, she tries to follow any trail the Black Cat might have set if just by checking for open or locked doors and ducking under cameras where she can see them. Between her on the grounnd and Ted on the roof working down it should increase coverage and Black-Cat location times by a bit. Extra birdy eyes and speed making Tabby's job even quicker.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
The warehouse is dark. As it's night, there's not supposed to be anyone present, and the cars in the parking lot gave off the idea that none have been here all day. So it would seem. But once inside there's a menacing, almost primal sort of fear bubbling up into the belly. Something is incredibly wrong, and there is a sense of FEAR from all around, but in the darkness of the man-made cavern that is the warehouse, there's a ominous sense of dread.

The hollowness gives an incredible sense of the unknown. There's a rumble below the concrete floors, barely preceptible unless one is standing still for a moment and silent enough to notice. There's life below. Or at least something big. Moving.

Emma Frost has posed:
There's a terrified human mind within in a state of panic that Emma Frost can pick up. Tabitha's commentary is for now ignored as Emma would focus. <<There.>> She would go to try and quickly pull from eyes and thoughts to try and get a positioning of thing sin the room. Attempting to give Taibtha a sense of direction and circumstance as to location. Attempting to give the younger mutant the positions of the feral, raw minds and that of the terror prone one.
She would calmly send to the one that was wretching.. <<Assistance is on the way. Remain controlled and it will be there shortly>>

Jennifer Walters has posed:
She-Hulk just /sighs/ as she's left alone standing outside. "I wanted to make a plan," she mutters. "Coordinate things. But nooooo.... just go storming off on your own."

She stands there helplessly for about a minute before shrugging, "WELP," and just walks up to the front door which she just /rips/ off it's hinges. No going back now.

"HELLO BAD GUYS!" she shouts. "IT IS I, THE MIGHTY SHE-HULK COME TO TWART YOUR BAD GUY PLANS!" She stands there in the empty hallway, alone save for that foreboding doom. "Eegh," she says, shivering at the sensation. "This place gives me the willies."

With that, she makes her way further in.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
It's a good thing the bird can't pick up on these feelings. But the lack of light does make it to where he can't really see anything. And the lack of the sense of touch makes it to where the rumble would be missed as well. IF he were on the floor. Nope. Phantasm's up in the rafters, having a look. If it wasn't so damn dark!

THEN She-Hulk rips the door off, allowing for some of the night light to creep in. It's still dark. But not AS dark. Thank the heavens! Using the added light as a guide, the bird flies a bit further into the building. He can SEE again! It's a miracle!

Ted Kord has posed:
Remember Teddy, the smoke and fire in that factory, where Doomsday caught you? That is what this feels like. Some evil monster waiting to tear into you.

Ted may not be fearless, but he mastered his demons. He drifts down slowly and the BB Gun comes out. Fear... can keep you alive, sharpen your reactions. It's terror that makes you freeze that can kill you. Fear is just a fact of life. He scans the warehouse over the sights of the pistol.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
The sounds from the lower levels get Tabby a frown as she finds light hard to find so she mutters and concentrates as she wisps up a little small ball of plasma, low yield less explody, just poofing harmlessless as she just keeps the light on as soon as the last goes out and she has a rhythm. Just floating in her palm. There's actually some real mental effort on the part of Tabitha through the mind link to make sure that the light is not actually a bomb. she has been practicing a lot. The directions from Emma get acknowledges with a mental nod and hopefully a reassuring feeling to be sent to the other end of the psychic hotline between the blonde X-Women.

the directions are followed and while Boom Bomm picks up the pace she does try and stay quiet. The plasma flame might make stealth more awkward but it's better than going in blind.

Better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness.

And extra help and boots in asses should be along sooner but for now Tabby is clearly in the lion's den as she gets closer to the rescue point.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
As soon as Emma's last message to Tabitha is sent, there's a force that comes behind Jennifer, and the hole she created to walk into, a spindly sort of figure blocks the mental realm that Emma could see in, and she is pushed out by a force of blackness. A tall spindly man with a very pale face stands behind Jennifer and steeples his fingers together as he addresses the room.

"Good, evening my, guests." A sort of old proper british sort of accent. Slow. Methodical. Every word is dripping out of his mouth, "I wasn't expecting any more visitors tonight, but we can always make room for more."

Emma Frost has posed:
How useful! Someone that has announced themselves as soon as an entrant goes in. Emma Frost goes to continue to try and lead Tabitha along, going to try and sidetrack the girl along the feral minds, going to hopefully lead her about towards the terrified human mind within. Attempting to keep Tabitha updated over on the position of the feral ones to hopefully let her avoid them. Emma's priroity for now hopefully being freeing the captive and letting the other metabeings present deal with whatever the pish posh thing was.
And then Emma's telepathic connection to Tabitha would be blocked. Emma would narrow her eyes. It was on. <<Our adversary has blocked my telepathy. The situation is more dangerous. Be on your guard. And your priority is to the captive individual>> Emma would try to speak through the communicator.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
She-Hulk turns around at the sound of the voice and narrows her eyes at the man. "Oh goodie," she says sarcastically. "A creepy British guy. Look. You're not going to scare me like that," she says. "It takes more than knees and elbows to get me." She folds her arms and sizes the man up. "So, tell me again what your bad guy plans are? I mean, if you just want to have a spot of tea and some biscuits I can do that."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Phantasm doesn't have a communicator, or a fancy schmancy app. Or a few of his senses. But he does have the sense of hearing. Opting not to make his presence known, at least as far as he can tell, the raven keeps to the shadows. Being he has no clue where Tabitha has gone off to nor even a clue to look in the basement, the present threat to She-Hulk is getting his attention.

...Yeah like She-Hulk's going to need backup. But still. She got left behind once already, probably best not to do it again.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord drops down, to follow Tabitha. He says softly, "You're doing fine, Tabby. Good to see you again. We'll get this figured out." he's behind her so she can't see his smile. "Sorry I didn't recognize you out of business wear. She-Hulk and the bird are watching the bad guy. We got their backs. Stay in sight till she whomps the scary guy. Then we proceed... or we get swarmed. Be ready."

Tabitha Smith has posed:
The mind link comes down and there's probably one last flash of worry and actual fear from Tabitha to Emma as final instructions come though but soon there's silence and maybe Emma is just being radio silent.

This leaves Boom-Boom looking and stumbliing through the dark with little light but what she makes to guide her way and rescue Felicia. Step one, get her loose. Step too maybe not get mauled. Ionised Electron heavy gas burning does have a slight smell in addition to the light. So advantages on location are not in Boomie's favor are dwindling.

"Pss pss pss, Cat?" she stage whispers trying to make sure there's a live voice to guide her.

Ted catchiing up gets a very releived smile but she puts a finger to her clear glossed lip and makes a shhh sound. "This might be a trap. I can still hear the critters moving" comes the warning whispers. It's probably easy to not recognise a girl knot being crazy for a change.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
The tall spindley man, standing before Jennifer, blocking the way into the facility with his long black suit reaches up to the button of his coat and unhooks it, and with a motion of breathing in air, he rises up, and up, and up, and up. Arms sprout from beneath his normal arm and extra elbows as his arms grow longer and he looks like a mutated sort of horrific spider. "I. ALWAYS. Need. More. SUB. JECTS!" And he rushes forwards toward Jennifer with a hiss.

Tabby, and Ted wander forwards into the darkness of the warehouse and find a set of stairs down into an uncomfortably cramped basement with a wall of cages filled with a bizarre collection of animals locked, and with handfulls of empty cages in the wall of cells. There's no sign of Felicia yet, but there is a new sort of rumbling sound as something else is in the end of the hallway and two pairs of feet begin to rush towards Tabby and Ted with a horrific scream in the darkness rushing their way.

Emma Frost has posed:
Now Emma has lost contact with Tabitha, and even if communications were still up the other woman probably has too much going on to be able to be able to reply. So Emma can only try and get to a point where she can observe the fight - from a distance. This means however she has to get closer and stealth is not her strong suit. So Emma would stay close to the ground, following the noise of waht would no doubt be the inevitable brawl that was coming as the She-Hulk would smash.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Oh and She-Hulk does smash! She smashes indeed! "I've fought cosmic horrors that would make your eyes bleed," she says, launching herself fist first and the spindly spider guy, "And my eyes aren't bleeding, here. SUBJECT /THIS/!"

She swings hard at the horror, not pulling any punches like she would a normal foe. Normally she doesn't go all HULK SMASH right from the start but this creepy spider dude? HULK SQUISH

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Spider-Man has really let himself go. And when did he get a British accent? As much as the bird would love to ponder this development, the phantasm swoops down from his perch. With a quick but graceful horizontal arc he ends up approaching Spider-damn! from behind. Talons latch against the back of the man's head as he leans forward, bringing wings over the man's eyes in an effort to blind him.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord gets more than an eyeful of the thing coming towards them. he uses the aero-discs as footing to push off them and do a flip over the monster and land behind it. He twists as he hopefully lands behind it. Maybe distract it away from Tabitha, who has more firepower than him. He fires a flurry of low power concussion blasts at the creature's back.

He hasn't quite processed what he's looking at.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
The sound of skittering then charging feet gets a huge sense of dread from Tabby as she turns her light to see where the sound is coming from.

"Umm, Beetle, honey. Go find Felicia! She may need tech to spring her. I can maybe zone this thing out and give you time. Also like you're stronger so she may need carrying." she actually sounds kind of tactical.

Beinng in front of the creature she starts throwing actual bombs. No so much high power to kill anything as much as trip it up as it gets very very close to Tabitha as she backpedaks as best she can with no light behind her to see where she's goin. At the most the impacts should feel like they'll hurt if it was a human taking the blasts and if it buys Felicia time to be rescued all the better.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
The man rises up, his arms unfolding and a trio of them palm down and starting to rise him up taller into the air, when a POWERFUL green fist is thrown, aimed where his sternum was but connects with the man below the belt. He crumples like laundry, and he falls down. Face clapping against the concrete floor with a hand trying to save him from the fall, but the wrist snaps with a sickening pop and he's suddenly got a bird on the back of his head.

"Yooooou." He says, eyes suddenly opening on the back of his head and snarling towards the large bird attached to his collar. "You will do." And a pair of hands wrap around his back and move in to grab at the raven, and a mouth parts within the hair below the oddly placed backwards eyes and he opens his maw wide to try and bite the Phantasm.

Emma would suddenly feel a horrific scream as the void that went up around the building's mental sphere suddenly collapses and she can feel everything that was bottled within the few seconds. A new Spider-Damn. A wall of trapped creatures in countless cages, and a MONSTER chasing down the hallway towards Tabitha and Ted.

The creature stops after it bull rushes past Ted and Tabby, feet clomping on the ground, unshoed hooves stomp aggressively as it turns around and a man fused WITH the head of a horse. It's not a centaur, but what Lovecraft would have made instead of one. The horse and man are melded with a second head coming out of the man's chest and neither thing can even breath properly but it stands, and fights the two T's, collapsing from the bombs, but howling in such pain as two broken bodies can muster in a dank, wet, long hallway of horror.

Emma Frost has posed:
The scream over from the disruption or destruction of the mental blockage around the area has Emma simply reinforce her shields. The result is seemingly something beastial. Something trapped and let free? A restrained thing snapping out at the edge of a chain? Emma can't quite tell without further probing. And now is not necessarily the best time to do so. Emma Frost goes to try and press at the -thing-, gestalt it might be, and try to disorient it with a telepathic sense of ennui and dizziness! Rather than trying to engage with it (whatever it is) in up front mental attacks and combat, Emma attempts to disorient it. To find whatever it is that is the equivalent of the creature's sense of balance and completely rupture it if at all possible! To make it if she could completely dizzy.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
"Oh no you don't!" shouts She-Hulk, aiming a kick at the spider-damn's head. "I wouldn't eat him if I were you. I heard he tastes pretty fowl." Don't judge. She couldn't help it. She then grabs one of the hands holding the bird to try to wrest him free so he doesn't become a snack.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Aw you've got to be-.

As the horrific looking mouth appears, the bird jumps back off of the creature. Catching a bit of a glimpse of one of the approaching hands, he ends up getting knocked to the side as the hand comes in contact getting the barest of grasps on his talon. The other hand, he ends up passing through the other hand.

Despite having to have She-Hulk interceed on his behalf for a grab he should have easily avoided, there is at least one happy point to things. It is a good thing he startled back from the bite to begin with. Because if he had seen She-Hulk's incoming kick, well-

He'd probably be tumbling halfway to Gotham by now.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord is pretty sure he'll recognize this 'Black Cat' when he spots her. he gets a look at a couple of Tabby's boomies and thinks she does have the firepower to handle this skeeter/spider thing. He turns around and flies down into the darkness. Hmmm Black Cat. He's a little hazy on the Avengers' roster. Power Girl is on it and Diana. He doesn't know  any Black Cat. He presses on.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
The creature that rushes past her knocks the young blonde woman down and does a pretty good job of trying to trample Boom-Boom on his way past. Luckily the bombs do their jobs but there's going to be major bruisiing and a few vuts as she's knocked hard into some of those cages and rattling them fiecely in the poor thing's path to the ground.

This might be a bad call of a landing but at least one problem is out of the way and since stealth is not an option. Not like it's the only misshapen hybrid victim of science abuse.

"Ted, hurry, I don't wanna hurt thse things more than it takes to stop them." she says and tries to rise up onto her feet with a wobble and then a very oh crap look at the cages that might have claws and paws and teeth tring to shred her in their fight for freedom. "I hope she is not one of these. CAT, cavalry, gimme a shout please!" she calls out loud now.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Reaching back and trying to bite into the bird, but instead he gets a mouth full of feet. The things neck twists hard and he spins over twice, arms curling up like a grotesque ribbon against his now lifeless form as it crashes into one of the shelves. The Bird and the Green are now free from their battle with madness, and the mind Emma felt obscuring the whole area simply is snuffed out.

The mantaur creature below is writhing on the ground, howling in agony as it lays on the ground with an arm stump spurting blood. and legs on the ground feebly kicking at nothing and trying to fight against it's own demise. When behind Tabby and Ted a voice rings faintly.

"HELP!" Shouts a woman's voice, deeper in the hall.

Emma Frost has posed:
As the bird goes to get engaged, Emma Frost goes to take a moment to link it. She goes to give a sense to the others present and fighting a 'mouth' on the bird, an alerting to the others tha tit was an individual and on their side. Just by giving it the sensation hopefully and passing it along to the group. Emma is of course attempting to veil her own identity and mostly sending along positive sensations to the group to give the impression that she is an ally.
Emma goes to then send to Tabitha and (if she can) Ted, a firmer location of where the cry is coming from, attempting to help solidify it and if need be aid the others.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
She-Hulk dusts her hands off when she sees that the Spider-Damn is no longer moving. "And that takes care of that. I wonder what he was doing in here," she muses as she walks over to the bird. "You okay, there, Mike? Didn't know you could turn into a bird. What are you doing out here anyway? You should have evacuated with the rest."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
With Spider-Damn! disposed, The bird finds himself on the ground for a moment. The beak points towards the body for a moment. "Yeah I'm fine. Got my good days and bad." He starts to push himself up, mimicking She-hulks' hand movements as he dusts his wings off. "I was taking a break" He admits, "And I did- kind of."

As the howl of agony piercing through draws his attention, he looks in that direction. Someone is still in trouble. "We should probably go that way."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord hears the voice and streaks towards it, gun at the ready. Any animal jumping out at him will get blinded and clipped on his way past. "Coming Cat Lady! Stay strong. Blue Beetle is here... friend of Tabby's!" He looks about, sparing a closer look at the cages. Ugh... he hates cruelty to animals. Let alone making them into abominations. There's been too much of that. Whatever happened to just building a giant robot?

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Hell of a way to feel like shit by maybe killing an innocent in self defense. Boom-Boom is not going to do well coming home tonight.

The sound of a woman's voice is heard and that at least springs the knocked around Boom-Boom to action once more. "Beetle! You hear that? There's hopefully the sound of Felicia's voice. The resumed mental link is a releif but the flood of emotions from Tabitha is a jumble of anger and remorse as the image of the hybrid dying on the floor because of her bombs, even restrained they turned out to be too much despite the implied duability most siences victims display. It's soon all beaten down for Emma's sake. And Felicia.

Tabby has more hero work. To the cages the girl smiles weekly."We'll find you helpm or releif, please calm down." she says and moves. Tabby knows they're feral but even a cat or dog can undestand tone and attempts at caring as they criitters made the rescue list after Black-Cat is clear. The cages are still the safest place for them.

Tabby and Felicia's relationship if even existant is neither denied or confirmed. If anything a good rescue is a goo way to make friends.

"We'll have you out and home and having bubble baths and mimosas in no time." She reassures, Anytone that might see Tabby now is probably going to notice the running eyeliner and masacara where tears destroyed some actually expensive makeup. But rescues keep her hopefull still. She can get yelled at for her screw up later.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia is tied down to a large gurney and is struggling against her restraints, her suit is cut and was in the middle of being removed before the intruders showed up and pulled away her tormenters. "HELP ME OUT OF HERE!" She says, fighting against her bonds, her domino mask remains on, and she is crying. "Please." Felicia says, horrified and trembling beyond words.

Upstairs however, the team is perfectly calm and safe, even with the creepy vibe still lingering despite the main cause of it being put down, there are still lingering questions that might or might not be asked.

Emma Frost has posed:
And the chaos and fighting seems to be winding down. Emma is going to now duck back into an alleyway just in case while going ot continuet o passively sweep the area. Trying to check on the hopefully unconscious or close to it threats or poor experiments, to attmept to make sure that they were all down. And then to see just what sorts of recovery units were coming for the horrid, mistfortunate wretches.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
She-Hulk makes her way though the warehouse and eventually down the stares into the basement. When she gets to the strange horse man amalgam that's still alive she winces. "Oh, man," she breathes. She could see how menacing it could have been, once but now it's just pitiful.

"Mike, go find the others," she says to the bird. "I'm going to try to help this poor guy. Nobody deserves to die like this." She gets down on her knees, heedless of the pooling blood and tries to prop the beast up, so that it can at least get some air in its lungs. "Hang in there," she says gently, being close to it and trying to give it comfort. She'll stay there with it until it finally passes.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Jen and Phantasm head after the the sounds of extreme pain. The volume of the cries and whimpers make tracking down the source easy.

Coming across it, the Phantasm lands nearby, assessing the situation. Thoughts of the woman torn apart by the creature in the campground come to mind. Too far gone to save. Not far enough gone to avoid suffering.

"Poor guy." He murmurs pitifully.

He glances over to Jennifer as she tells him to go after the others and shakes his head. "I can't, Jen. Not while he's like this." As Jen props up the creature, he reaches his wings over, gently touching it with them. The bird grows quiet as he focuses on loaning out some of his ability to the dying form. The loss of the sense of touch may have been an unknown disadvantage to him earlier but at least when used like this...

It is a small mercy.

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha follows behind Ted and into where Felicia is being restrained. With the woman's suit a mess Tabby doesn't even hesitate to offer a replacement in the for onf her very warm jacket, unzipping it to cover the bound woman while Ted seems to hang back in case of things hangging out of damaged skin tight outfits mid removal.

At least this time the bombs can save a lift as she lets a bunch of small onnes BOOM away the buckles and bolts tying the oldert woman down so she can slip free and leave Tabitha in a tight little black cropped tee with Property of Xaviier Institute XL on the front. That size is probably accurate but still small compared to the rest of the student body.

I'm Tabby, Boom-Boom. We got your deets and came running as soon as possible. Ready to blow this popsicle stand sweetie?" she reassures and tries her best cheesy.

Over the mind link a sense of relief is gradually overwhelming any worry about cruelty she inflicted in error. <<Eyes on the prize. Bringing her up and home!>> she brains in an almost victorious tone. The trampling and cages of feral animals leaving bruises all over Tabby and a few scratches along her neck around that dog collar and pendant.

At least she can breath and not hack up plastic. And that's still better than what she just inflicted to the poor thing Jen is watching over.

Once Felicia is covered by red jacket and ready to go, the blonde X-Trainee offers a hand and a shoulder to lean on on the way out. "Got a prefered GMO?" the blue eyed blonde asks curiously to start planning a direction outside the building.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Horseboy, or as called by some others, Agony, is on his side, both windpipes are ruinned and with the stumps continuing to spray with the erratic heartbeats, it doesn't take long thanks to the work of Jennifer and the Raven for them to pass on. Finally. Felicia now free and covered, leans against Tabitha and whispers into her ear her thank you as she seems weak and drained emotionally from the damage.

Jennifer Walters has posed:
Jennifer sighs as Horseboy finally passes. "Well, there goes that," she says sadly. She gets to her feet, grumbling darkly, "I'm glad I kicked the head in of the guy who did that to them. I just may go back and kick him to Mars. Let's go find the others."

It doesn't take long for them to find Tabitha and Ted as they're carrying Felicia out. "Alright," she says. "My car is parked outside, and we can take her to the Mansion. We should have a spare change of clothes there that'll fit her."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The bird gives a sigh as Horseboy passes on. "Too mch death this week." He comments, moving his wings from the body. Phantasm's quiet as they gather together. A lingering glance is given towards the costumed Felicia. "Hmm." Shaking his head he moves with the group to the car. He calls dashboard .

Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith smiles and accepts the thanks as she leads Felicia out. When she passes Agony, now ended there's nothing but some teary remorse for how that went down. Monsters are supposed to be tanky and human level bombs should not blow legs off or cave in chests.

"I'm so sorry." she states and looks to the cages. "We have to help those we can save right. They don't deserve this." she says while working to help Black-Cat make her exit.

The help from Jen and Mike and the lack of yelling for having been the cause of Agony's fatal injuries a releif. so she happily keeps her mouth shut as she help Felicia into the car and stays with to get her into a safe place.
