Date of Scene: 30 January 2022
Location: Wellness Office
Synopsis: Jubilee decides to storm off instead of licking Bobby
Cast of Characters: Bobby Drake, Megan Gwynn, Jubilation Lee, Kitty Pryde, Noriko Ashida, Emma Frost

Bobby Drake has posed:
There is only one occupant at the moment in the infirmary - one Iceman, Bobby Drake.

Sitting propped up in the bed, Bobby's eyes are closed. There is a large bandage over his shoulder where he was bitten by the vampire bride Clemencia, and it appears to be clean for the moment. His eyes are closed, and he is resting - by all accounts on the machines monitoring him, he is doing fine. Regular color, strong heart beat, nothing really amiss to speak of.

Off to the side are a few items that he was brought in with, which have been meticulously cleaned. It includes his clothes, and set off next to that is a scarf. All have managed to have every trace of blood and grim removed. The benefits of superior technology here in the Xavier Mansion.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
So like, in a panic, Megan had offered to wrap up Bobby's bite wound with her thin pink cotton scarf. Which may have just saved his life. But now it was probably in the infirmary, possibly bloodied and discarded somewhere. Megan really liked that scarf though, and she'd real,y like to get it back..

Oh yeah, there was Bobby too of course, of course she's concerned about his well being and hoping he didn't turn into a vampire or something, but...Darnit, she really wants her scarf back too! So she peeks in, looking about and tip toe's around, peering this way and that..

Bobby Drake has posed:
For the moment, Bobby is still lying peacefully. Eyes closed, relaxing it seems. From all indications on the monitor, if one could read them, he is asleep in a rather normal sleep.

Megan's scarf is off to the side, showing no signs that it had been a battlefield dressing.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn holds her breath as she steps near Bobby, peering at his shoulder that was bitten, perhaps wondering if he might leap up at any moment and go all fangy on her. "Okaay, don't be silly, Megan, I'm sure they tested him for, uh..Vampire disease or whatever, right?" she laughs nervously, as she reaches for the scarf. Ooh did someone clean it? Must have been Beast. Yay, it looks good as new..

Bobby Drake has posed:
"Baaah braaaaah!" shouts Bobby suddenly, his eyes bolting open from his slumber. He sits up suddenly in the bed, and then immediately cries out in pain, his hand moving up to grab his shoulder. "Yeeeeooooow."
He then turns his gaze to Megan, wherever she may be in the room after that outburst, and offers a weak, "Hi."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"It's not a disease," comes a voice. From the distinct valley girl twang, it's Jubilation Lee, but her voice is low and quiet, as though she might be telling a ghost story or something. When did she get in here, exactly? Who knows? Vampires are like that. Her hair is brushed down to cover half of her face and the exposed half seems to have a lot of concealer on there.

Jubilee folds her arms across her chest and watches Bobby sit up suddenly. It doesn't seem to surprise her even a little. "That's a pretty nasty hickey you got there, Bobby..." She side-eyes towards Megan and manages a slight smirk. "Just what were you doing before I got here?"

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn has just retrieved her scarf, wrapping it around her shoulders when Bobby jerks awake. "Gah!" she yells in surprise and jumps back, "Don't bite me, don't bite me!" and..Ohh..He looks pretty normal-ish. She grins sheepishly, "Errr, hiii Bobby, how's it going?" and then there's Jubes, who *is* a vamp and will probably take offence to that and..Awwwkward. "Ohhh Heey Jubes, how's it shaking?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby seems a bit dazed initially. "Why would I..." He pauses, and looks around, and winces against as he moves his shoulder. "Oh. Right." He looks around, and down at himself, and then at the monitor, and then back at Megan. "I don't think it works that way?"

Turning his gaze over towards Jubilee, he forces a weak smile towards her. "Yeah, and she has totally ghosted me since then."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Oh, it's been a dream, Pix," Jubilee answers with a shrug, even giving off a very subtle smile to put the girl at ease. "An absolute dream..." Her gaze shifs to Bobby as she steps around Megan to take a spot at one of the bedsides. She gently patpats the top of his hand. Hers is cold.

"How ya feeling, Bob-O? Like a really bad crick in the neck, huh?" She waggles both eyebrows, though only one can be seen due to her mess of hair covering most of her face.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
There's the sound of someone walking in the doorway. Kitty Pryde steps in, still wearing her X-men costume she had on during the fight. Suggesting she's been too busy with things to go get changed. Or maybe just staying ready in case they return.

She walks over to where the others are standing. "Hey guys," Kitty offers to Jubilee and Megan, before looking over to where Bobby is lying there. "Man, some people will do anything to get out of their kitchen chores," she says in an exaggerated tone as she steps over to Bobby's bedside. "Hey Bobby," she says, reaching out to pat his shoulder and then turn to work at the displays that show his biometric readings.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn arches a brow at Jubes, "Err, sooo how does it work then..And what was with that book, and why were they after you and are they gonna come back?" oh she has Soo many questions for the vamp mutant. As Kitty approaches, she smiles at her. "Hii Kitty! Ohh, I'm not skipping classes, I just came to get my scarf back..Err and check on Bobby too of course!" right, that's important too..

Bobby Drake has posed:
"That is not exactly it, no," replies Bobby to Jubilee. "More like, thankful I still have a neck?" He shifts a bit, wincing as he does so, to try to sit up a bit more comfortably in the bed.

As Kitty walks in, Bobby's face twists into a bit more of a sheepish grin. "I know, I know - can we skip the lecture, and just go straight to the "I'm really disappointed in you" part?" He tries to form a smile in preparation, but does not quite pull one off, sighing instead. As she pats his shoulder and looks at the displays, an earnest one finds its way to appearing, though. "Hey Kitty." he echoes.
He lifts up his good arm and points towards the scarf. "It's over there. Thanks for letting them use it."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee looks over at Megan and stares for a moment, her eyes shrinking a little as she squints. "Well, you see, when a mommy vampire and a daddy vampire love each other very much..." Her words trail off and she scowls. "I can't -- Kitty, you handle that," she grumbles, totally not-at-all respecting the covenant of the teacher-student relationship. Barking orders now, is she? There's a few moments of reflection and then Jubilee sighs. It's not a real sigh, exactly, but she just lets out a small pocket of air she's been saving in her lungs just for this occasion.

"I'm sorry, Megan," Jubilee says softly. "Kitty. I'm just..." She glances out at the hallway for a moment then back to Bobby, not bothering to finish that thought.

"Which one of them bit you?" she asks suddenly, leaning in to get a closer look, apparently all business. Unfortunately for Megan, answers won't come so easily.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"That's a good question, Megan," Kitty says after Megan asks about the book. "We need to understand more of what's going on," she says, the words directed towards Jubilee with a serious look as there isn't an answer given on the topic.

The Jewish girl glances back at the monitors and then over to Bobby again. She takes his hand in both of hers and gives it a pat. "No no, not going to do that," she tells Bobby in reply to The Disappointed Speech. "No, I have something much more serious to ask you," she says.

She leans a little closer, hand rubbing the back of his. "Bobby... when you die, can I have your vintage Matchbox Car collection?" she asks him in a very straight-laced tone.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks slowly, perhaps belatedly realizing how badly this might affect Jubilee, but they all need answers really. For now, she swallows, biting her lip, focusing on Bobby. "Sooo how you feeling, Bobby..?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
A wry laugh from Bobby at Jubilee's question. "I didn't have a chance to exchange digits." He does not shy away from Jubilee's peering into his wound, but he turns his attention towards Kitty, giving the hand beneath his a bit of a squeeze. Either trying to reassure her, or himself.

As she leans in, his eyes are already rolling. He knows what is coming. At least, somewhat. "Sorry, those are already promised. But the Hot Wheels aren't spoken for." He flashes her a grin, and then follows with a bit of a laugh, and then a sigh. "My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to really appreciate your face when I tried to bite you."
At Megan's question, he shrugs, and instantly regrets it. "Uh. Well. They stopped the bleeding, but..." He frowns for a moment. "The flesh isn't healing up. And uh..." He looks up at Kitty, as if using her face for support. "I can't ice it up."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee reaches out with her fingers, perhaps to delicately pull back the dressing to take a look, but stops just as Bobby reveals that the wound isn't healing. Her eyes shift to watch for any signs of joking, finding none. Jubilation's expression sours almost immediately. Perhaps Bobby has revealed something significant.

"I took something from them and they want it back," Jubilee explains to Kitty, obviously reticent about the topic for some reason. "But, it's not like it belonged to them in the first place!" She adds that, as though expecting someone to tell her to just give it back, whatever it is. The book. Her arms cross over her chest, as though she's making a point of demonstration about it.

"Bobby, I'm real sorry you got hurt," Jubilee confesses, her tone returning to one of care.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde gives Bobby's hand a squeeze, though letting go as she snaps her fingers at not getting the Matchbox cars. "Darn it, had my eyes on that sweet 'vette," she tells him jokingly.

Her eyes go to the bandage, showing a bit of the concern that she feels at hearing that isn't healing. "Having possession of it is risking the lives of people here," Kitty says simply as she turns back towards Jubilee. "So what is it about it that it's worth risking those lives?" It wouldn't be the first time the X-men were in possession of something like that. But Kitty gets right to the point of whether it is worth that.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks slowly, glancing at Bobby worriedly. "Not..Healing..? But, but it's only been a couple of days, right? Give it time.."she laughs nervously, but shoots Jubilee a worried glance. "That book of yours..Is it magic? May I see it..?" she might not be Illyana, but Megan knows a little something about magic.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"I'm sure I could sneak the 'vette out, if that's really all you wanted." Bobby smiles up at Kitty weakly, and closes his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath, and letting it out with a soft sigh.
He is quiet for a moment, before speaking up again. "The risk, that just comes with the territory. I knew what I was getting into - I mean, it's not like I expected fighting vampires to be a walk in the park." Bobby shifts a bit, trying to sit up again, but then decides to just stay where he is.
A glance over towards Megan. "It's different. It's hard to explain, but - " He shakes his head. "The flesh won't come back together. Even on a microscopic level. It's not a matter of time - it just isn't happening. And as long as that is not happening, it's getting in the way of my powers." He frowns for a moment in thought. "So I guess for the moment, I'm not so much an Iceman as an Icethrower?" He laughs softly.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Yeah, but, still," Jubilee adds, giving Bobby's wrist another gentle pat with her hand, allowing it come to rest just above the plastic medical bracelet he was given. Bobby might be taking it in stride, but, still!

Kitty's question, the subtle lecture, draws Jubilation's attention. She stares at Kitty, her expression blank at first. But, there's a tension brewing. A deep line forms across her brow and her mouth begins to open so she can respond. But, no words come. Instead, her hand starts to tighten its grip on Bobby's wrist. Tighter. Tighter. Tighter, as she stares at Kitty Pryde.

Jubilation's face tenses, the muscles in her neck tighten. Her jaw clenches, but then the moment passes. She's learning. "...It's... all of it," Jubilation tries, choking back her rage. "...All of the information about us. The history. The bloodlines. The slayers. All of it." Each sentence seems to relax Jubilee just a little bit more, as though talking about it is helping pull her from some kind of darkness. Bobby's wrist is released.

"I..I don't know, Megan," Jubilee adds, trying to keep her tone as soft as she can. "...I'll, I'll let you know."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde's eyes are gazing back at Jubilee. Though she's only a year and a half older than the Asian girl, Kitty's been through enough she just stares back as she sees the tension pass through the other girl.

Kitty doesn't give any outward sign whether she thinks that is enough to be worth the risk. Instead she just says, "Might it have anything that would help us treat Bobby's bite?" she asks. "A cure or preventative?"

"It was the one in the purple and gold toga, who was dancing," Kitty says then, answering Jubilee's earlier question about which of the vampires bit Bobby.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks slowly at Bobby, uncertain of what to think, too afraid to speak it out loud. "Ohh.." is all she manages to utter softly. And then there is some hope perhaps..Maybe..In the book, perhaps? "Oh! Right, the book. Surely there is something in there about that..?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby's eyes open back up, and he looks again to Kitty. "Thanks - I knew I could count on you to focus on the important details." He sighs softly, and turns his gaze then towards Jubilee, interested in her answer to the question. While he does appear outwardly to be fine, it is clear that there is not much energy behind his responses - the usual light hearted banter seems forced. Some sort of exhaustion, mental if not physical, may be at play. He is doing a good job of masking it, perhaps, except to those that know him well.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
There is a battle happening here and it's telegraphed all over Jubilee's face, her body, her tone. A private struggle that never ends between the girl and the darkness that has been forced upon her, constantly vying for control. She curls her lips inward -- another calming strategy, maybe -- and closes her eyes. A couple more moments pass.

"Maybe," Jubilee answers with a nod. "I've been reading it every night. It's really, really, uh, long."

Somewhere, a pig zooms across the sky, as Jubilation Lee just admitted to ...studying.

"It's kind of weird, though," Jubilation adds, now finding enough of herself to be able to start using her arms, gesturing as she talks, more naturally. More like a person and not a predator about to strike. "I read that the kiss has evolved to heal quickly..." she explains, just tossing 'kiss' out like everyone's up-to-date on their vampire lingo. Her eyes lift to watch everyone's reaction to the implication. "...You know, so no one...um, like, notices..."

"Lots of us can just heal it for you," Jubes adds with a shrug. The 'us' and 'you' are just tossed out there, oh so casually. Jubilee's eyes dart down to the wound. Hey...

"Bobby, uh, I have an idea, maybe," she quietly shares, though suddenly getting awkward about it.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
It isn't too hard, after hearing Jubilee's comment about others can heal it for him, to guess where Jubilee's idea might have run. Kitty looks from Jubilee to Bobby for a moment, and then goes over to a computer and types something out on it.

Hank McCoy's lab is just around the corner, so it doesn't take him long at all to get there. Beast walks in through the door and looks everyone over. "Ms. Lee," he says in his deep, mellifluous tones. "Bobby, I thought you had ice armor to prevent this kind of thing," he chides jokingly as he walks over.

Kitty waves to Hank. "Thought maybe it would be good to have someone with more medical training in here, if Jubilee is wanting to go where I think she's wanting to go," she explains to Beast. He turns to look to Jubilee for an explanation.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby squirms a bit in the bed, still wincing slightly, at Jubilee's suggestion. "Uh." He seems unsold on the idea. "How certain are you that you know how to...make that work?"
Bobby looks over as Hank comes in and sighs deeply. "I mean, I did, and I had it on! During the fight." Bobby seems a bit defensive for a moment in tone. "But, the fight was over, or so we thought, and I thought it wasn't necessary anymore." He omits exactly what he was doing at the moment of the bite, his gaze drifting over towards Kitty guiltily. "We were all kind of joking around, right?"
He stiffens a bit as Kitty continues. "Um. Do we need an audience for that, if that's what we're doing?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"I'm not certain at all," Jubilee answers matter-of-factly, totally shredding any attempt at a bedside manner. "I don't know if it would even work." She shrugs, looking up at Bobby with uncertainty in her eyes. Then over to Kitty, brows hiked. "You know about the...?" She doesn't finish. Whatever method vampires apparently use to hide their tracks isn't being said out loud.

Jubilation looks up at Hank, trying her best to avoid his gaze. There's just something so weird about being an abnormality in front of a man of science. Instead, Jubilee bends down and cups her hand over her mouth so she can whisper the procedure to Bobby privately.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty crosses her arms and leans back against a counter. "Only if they are audiences with multiple Ph.Ds in genetics, medicine, physics..." she starts, before Beast cuts her off with a wave of his hand lest she list, or embellish, all of his educational achievements.

"Not a bad idea if you're going to try something," Beast confirms. Kitty looks back to Jubilee. "Well I know what you just told us. Apparently they can heal the bites, so they aren't noticed," she tells Hank. "Figured you could keep an eye on his vitals. If he goes into a shock. Or something more dire? Develops a good sense of humor?" Kitty suggests, her lips quirking a bit to hide her smile as she tries to keep Bobby's spirits up with some of their normal levity.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby's eyes dart nervously around. He looks over at Kitty, watching her reaction. "I feel like you're enjoying this way too much." It is said in a teasing manner, as Bobby tries to summon up some of that usually abundant optimism. Then a glance to Hank. "I mean, if we've got one..."

As Jubilee leans over and whispers to him, he just shakes his head and sighs deeply. "Yeah. I was afraid that's what you were going to say." He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and then nods as he opens them. "May as well."

He looks over at Kitty. "Somehow this is your fault." The tease helps with the brave face, apparently.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"I just mean, like, it's not... I mean, so, we /can/ make it heal up, but... she didn't," Jubilee adds, attention turning to Kitty. "So, why didn't she?" She looks over at Bobby and then Hank and then Kitty again. "So, you said it was the dancing one, right? Clemencia the Seer, we call her. You'll know her as the bastard daughter of Agrippina the Younger," Jubes explains. All this information -- factual information read out of a text -- sounds so alien coming from her mouth. But, this is important to her.

Jubilation's eyes close tightly as Bobby's reaction comes. May as well, he said. It would be a lot easier if he said no.

"Bobby," Jubes starts, her tone softening again. ".../Clemencia/ the Seer!" Her emphasis suggests that she expects him to understand what that might mean, as though everyone knows Clemencia the Seer. "...They say just looking at her makes you go wack-o. What if..." She falls quiet again as the thought finally forms.

"What if she made Bobby into a trap?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
One of Henry McCoy's tufted eyebrows lifts. "Fascinating, Jubilation. Is that even possible?" he asks. He pulls out a notebook and begins jotting something down in it. "What kind of form could this trap take?" he asks her.

Kitty's eyebrows go up as well, if less hairy than Hank's. "Uh," she says slowly, a hand going to her Star of David dangling from the necklace about her neck. Not that it has anything to do with Bobby, or Jubilee. It's a bit of a habit for her, especially in moments like this.

Bobby Drake has posed:
A frown crosses Bobby's face. "I'm not a trap," he protests, but weakly, as if not quite sure of the statement he is making. He looks up at Jubilee, and then back at Hank. If he is relieved at the idea of not being licked or kissed by Jubilee, he gives no indication one or the other.

A deep sigh. "So we have to convince "Leave the gun, take the cannoli" to do it?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"I don't know..." Jubilee confesses to Hank, almost sounding ashamed that she doesn't know. She's never had a chance to be a subject matter expert on anything before and... still isn't one. This one is her chance and she's blowing it. "The Codex says that Clemencia the Seer was once called Clemencia the Beguiling. That, that, that she could make you insane just by looking at her. So, who knows what might happen if..."

Jubilee's eyes linger on the medical dressing on Bobby Drake's neck.

Bobby's willingness to go through with it puts Jubilee on edge, even so far as pulling her away from his bedside. "Bobby," she protests, turning away. "I'm not going to do it." Her eyes close tightly, hands curling into tiny fists down at her side. "I'm...sorry." There's hope, though, in her tone, as she turns back to face him.

"But, I'll keep reading, see if there's anything in there, anything else that could help you?" she offers, holding that hopeful stare until... Until...

"Kitty, Jeez, do you mind!?" Jubilee complains, her face souring as she brings her hand up to block her eyes from that Star of David necklace. It's like someone's shining a flashlight in her eyes.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde looks up from her thoughts, taking a second to realize what Jubilee is reacting to. "Oh, sorry," she says. Though before she tucks it away, she turns towards Bobby, holding it where it would probably cause the same effect with Bobby. Were it to cause the same effect with Bobby. But then it is tucked away into the neckline of her costume.

"Alright, well, if you have things in hand, I'm going to go take inventory of a Hot Wheels collection," she says, resting a hand on Bobby's shoulder and grinning at him. "Hang in there. I'll bring you some food later," she promises.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
A pitter patter can be heard before Noriko appears looking like she had a long nap of sorts.  She even takes a moment to rub her eyes against her shoulders.  Her hair is a whirl and she immediately fixates her eyes on Jubes, redirecting herself to blurrily sidle next to her.  She offers Kitty a nod in greeting just as the young woman pulls her Star of David down.  Megan gets a little lift of Nori's chin in recognition.

"Everything okay?" Noriko asks kind of under her breath to Jubilation.

"Hey Bobby.  How are the holes?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
No reaction to the necklace. "I expect them all to be there when I get out. No sticky fingers" Bobby grins up at Kitty, and nods to her second statement. "I'd like that."

Regarding Jubilee for a moment, Bobby considers. "Then if you don't mind, maybe you ought to let someone else review the book." He frowns slightly. "I understand if you don't want to try that, but let's at least investigate to see if there is something there to be done. I'd really rather not give up and leave it up to chance."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Why does someone else need to do it?" Jubilee replies. When the sentence started, it sounded innocent enough, but her tone quickly shifts to something that reveals her anger about that. "...I know how to /read/, Bobby /Drake/! I just said I'd get on it." Each word sounds more and more hateful, each one tensing Jubilee's body just a bit further.

"Are you saying I'm stupid or something? Or you don't trust me? What is it, /Bobby/ /Drake/..." It keeps going. And going. She's snowballing. But then, her salvation comes. Or is it Bobby's salvation?

"Nori..." Jubilee whispers softly. It would sound like a gasp, as though a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders, but Jubilee doesn't gasp. She doesn't breathe. And she already used up her 'for appearances' air, earlier. Instead, she turns so the only person in her view is Noriko.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"I read fast.  I'm not an expert but I can speed people up by pointing them to relevant sections of what they want," Noriko explains quickly while slipping her gauntlet down to Jubilation's hand or at least in the vicinity.  Whether Jubilation feels comfortable with the proposition of Noriko reading the book or not isn't really the point.

"And maybe that will keep the knowledge sharing to what it needs to be?  I can work with people."  The last part, perhaps meant to say Noriko is free, comes across as slightly ironic, given her reputation for isolating herself from everyone but Jubilation for a whole year when she got to the school...and her other interactions.

"Probably something we should get started on right away."  Noriko is the only one in Jubilation's view. She doesn't break eye contact with the vampire, gaze locked.  "Bobby risked his life to protect us and everyone else.  We don't want people to think we're slacking."  Her jaw isn't as relaxed as it should be.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby allows Nori to speak or all out first before he nods. "It's not that I doubt you, Jubilee. You know that." He tries to sit up a bit higher but then winces and gives up. "Did I try to pry the tome away from you when I saw it at the lodge?"
"This is different though. I need some kind of answer from that book. My life is on the line." He nods to Nori. "Not that I want you to feel guilty, but it is because I was working to protect /you/, the same way all of us do." He sighs softly. "I get that you are afraid to do what the book says. I wouldn't ask you to do something you aren't comfortable with. But likewise, I don't want to give up on finding an answer because of that."
Bobby leans back and closes his eyes for a moment. "There has to be some reason behind this. It's supernatural in cause, so it just be supernatural in cure."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
How could Jubilee tolerate this? How terrible would it be to put the book in the hands of one of the mortals? They were once her friends, her peers, her family, but as the nights go on, her ties to them continue to slip. She's unsure, lost, without meaning, and this book has what she's looking for. How could they expect her to hand it over? If the vampire community at large is hating on her for /having/ the book, just imagine how they'd react to her giving it to the mortals.

"It's not different! You want an answer, I want you to get that answer. You're still not saying why someone /else/ has to get it for you!" She's almost growling by now, those fangs starting to come out. The lights start to cast much deeper shadows across Jubilee's features as her inner beast begins nudging its supernatural influence into her physical form. "/I'm/ saying I'll read the book and /you're/ saying it has to be someone else!" Jubilee shouts back, now very clearly fangy. She can't retract them, but usually knows how to best make them less obvious. Not now.

"The whole reason I even know to be cautious about licking away Clemencia the Seer's bite is /because/ I've been reading it!" Jubes snarls. But then Jubilee is recaptured in Noriko's influence. It happens so quickly, just as it had started. Jubilation's face relaxes, but her eyes close. Little trickles of blood appear from the corners of her eyes and dribble down her cheeks. They're not tears but they're close enough. Jubilation continues to stand there, just... eyes closed, fists shaking down by her side. This was a big one.

"Nori can read it," she finally says. Just like that. "I want Nori to read it."

And so, a plan is formed. Without another word, Jubilee storms out before someone would need to measure Bobby for a suit. Just as the door to the Wellness Office slams shut, a loud angry scream can be heard echoing around in the Main Foyer. The hustle and bustle of student activity immediately goes silent, just for a few seconds, before returning to normal.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko watches as Jubilation storms out, giving the girl her exit without diminishing its effect.  It's an odd form of respect probably only picked up by the vampire, or at least understood.  "I'm not going to let you die for that," Noriko's eyes are suddenly back on Bobby's. "We're going to figure this out," she speaks in the royal 'we' (no not you Princess Jubilee).  "Look, that?  That wasn't personal.  I got your back," which is as much to say she was ready to stop Jubilation should things have gotten out of hand as it is she's not going to rest till she's gone through every last inch of that book for something that might aid him.

"I need to go work on this," and be with Jubilation, obviously.  "You'll be the first to know anything."  Then Noriko blur walks out in Jubilation's wake, her expression somewhat locked down.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bearing the brunt of Jubilee's wrath, Bobby is just silent. He lets her rage, and knows that no words he says now will help. He watches her stalk out, and then nods as Nori speaks before he can.

"I know that wasn't personal. She's going through a lot." Bobby fixes Nori with a soft expression, and a smile. "I am really glad that she has you. And I appreciate everything you are doing for her." His statements are earnest. "Take care of her, please. I'm sure you will find a solution to this," he says, pointing to his neck. " I have faith in you both."

And then as she steps out, Bobby closes his eyes with a sigh.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would go to take a moment to go on by outside, right as Jubilee would storm out of the room. So her head would swivel to look at the retreating figure but Jubilation would pass before Emma could say anything. So upon seeing the crowd in the room Emma would knock on the door to announce her presence, not bothering to telepathically sweep to see what was going on. So with that done, teh blonde would etner into the room and scan about quietly.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Opening his eyes slowly as Emma steps in, Bobby offers a weak smile towards her. "Hey there. Coming to see the show?" He laughs for a moment.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Bobby, "No, I fear I'm rather too late to get the spectacle and somewhat behind in hearing what happened. I don't want to make you relive whatever there was going on so if you don't want to talk about it don't feel obligated to do so."

Bobby Drake has posed:
Raising a hand, Bobby vaguely waves. "Just standard stuff. Got bit a vampire, Jubilee is afraid to lick me, so I can't ice up." He chuckles. "That's it, more or less. How are you?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "I would hardly call that standard, but one must give you credit for finding a new way to add to the eternal tally of calamities which have been experienced. I take it that someone else will be doing the report while you're in recovery?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
"I imagine, yes. I don't know that I am in much of a condition to file any report." Bobby laughs. "If it wasn't for Kitty always having my back, I wouldn't even know which vampire bit me." He sighs for a moment, as he watches Emma. "It's a bit of a messed up situation, to be honest. But I trust them to figure it out. Nothing else to do."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod at Bobby, "Then I'll read it whenever the summary goes up. And yes, that's what the rest of the team is here for." She wouldn't bother sitting down. "So how are you handling things emotionally, Mister Drake?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake shrugs, evoking a wince, again, from the wound in his shoulder. "Oh. I don't know. My powers don't entirely work, my wound won't heal, I made Vampire Princess Jubilee angry for asking her to help fix it." Bobby laughs. "Take a pick."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "Of course. I know I'm not the one to advise you on this, Robert.." Her sticking to formalities, "But I think you should talk to someone on this thats' a bit more specilized at helping to deal with processing these sorts of things."

Bobby Drake has posed:
A soft laugh. "Here I was just hoping that I could get a little blue pill to help correct my performance issue." Bobby flashes a grin.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "I don't think it works that way, Robert. But emotions are something that need time to process and deal with things. So as someone that is not qualified in answers, I would urge you to consider i fyou feel it's appropriate."

Bobby Drake has posed:
"Look. I appreciate that you want to help. I do. But my best bet at surviving this with my sanity and my powers intact is to just do it the same way I always do." Bobby sighs deeply to himself. "It's worked so far. And if it ain't broke..."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "I'm aware. It's your decision in the matter, Robert. And if you feel that you can handle things then by no means change them up, particularly if what you have is effective."

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake nods. "I appreciate it. And rest assured if I want someone poking around on there, I'll give you a call." He manages a smile. "I do appreciate the concern though."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head, "Robert, I'm not qualified. You'd want to if anyone talk to someone that has some degree of therapy training or counseling. That most certainly isn't me."

Bobby Drake has posed:
"Ah. Well. I suppose we could find someone if needed." Bobby smiles towards Emma. "For now, though, I think I just need to focus on healing up this wound. Somehow."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Of course Robert. Do heal. And cope with things in your own way." Emma's checked in wtih Robert, and said what she has to. So she's going to leave to leave him to his thoughts.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Another smile is spared for Emma. "Thank you." And then Bobby closes his eyes to rest as she seems ready to leave.
