Peggy Carter has posed:
While they'd certainly spent time apart before -- his several years out in Los Angeles being one of the longest times -- it had been a while since they were apart more than a few days. A whole month seemed like a lifetime right now. That mean when she talked to him on the phone about the assignment in Europe finally being done, she did try to insist that she was going to pick him up. Into her third trimester or not, Peggy was more than capable of still driving a car.

Of course, he disagreed. It was a warm, teasing little spat on the phone which ended in her saying 'Fine, fine, it's not worth debating'. Which probably means she's still coming. And, sure enough, as he deplanes from the trans-Atlantic flight, there's a small crowd of people who are waiting to pick up their loved ones. And some drivers holding signs.

Peggy's got a sense of humor, and she is holding up one of those signs: 'SOUSA' it says simply. She's even stolen a little driver's cap that mostly matches the gray, empire waisted dress she is wearing. She's hiding most of her stomach behind that sign, so he can't see quite how much she's changed. Yet.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel had expected she show up but it was the props that really got him laughing when he sees her. "I'm Sousa," he says grinning as he comes up to her bags in one hand, cane in the other. He looks jet lagged but happy to be home.

Leaning across the sign he bends down to kiss Peggy on the lips, letting it linger despite all the people around them both.

Peggy Carter has posed:
Peggy grins wide at his laughter and words. "Well, welcome home, handsome." Despite the fact that holding a sign implied that she didn't know who she was picking up, the kiss between them certainly says otherwise. She leans up and over, wrapping her free arm happily around his shoulder and tugging him into a tight embrace to follow up that quite deep kiss.

Someone in the crowd wolf whistles behind them, Peggy laughing softly, warmly into the kiss. "Mm. Might as well give them a show. I missed you." She whispers against his mouth. She definitely *feels* different than the last time they hugged. There is noticably more of her.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"Works for me," Daniel whispers back about giving the people in the airport a show. Then he waves to the whistler and kisses Peggy once more, going for a dip before he's aware there's a whole lot more of her than when he left. He kisses her still but he holds off on the dip. "Wow," he murmurs after that second kiss, "Sure I've only been gone for a month?" he asks. "Our kid certainly didn't slow down while I was gone, did they?"

Peggy Carter has posed:
That makes her laugh even more. "Yes, careful there, dear. I wouldn't care to plant both of us on this floor, especially after you were stuck in a tin can for hours and hours." Peggy knows flights are sometimes hell on his leg, especially long international ones. The various pressure, not getting to move or stretch much? It's all hell on injuries. She keeps her lips against his for a few heartbeats longer before pulling back just enough he can get a proper look at her.

"Well, technically 34 days, but that's close enough to a month to call it even. And I'm not... *That* much bigger." She's only been seeing things slowly, a day at a time. To him, he left and she was soft but not noticably pregnant under clothes. Now, there is no DOUBT about that rounding beneath the more generous waistline of her dress. "But I have officially given up on pants. *Nothing* damn well fits." She grumbles, starting to usher him along to the exit and the car.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"Thanks," he says with a smile about being gentle to his leg. "Flights aren't great, but glad to be home."

"And sure 34 days but wow..." he mumrmurs, but there's a smile on his lips, all of this is exciting for him. "Well you can steal some of mine if you need to," he offers about the pants with a grin.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"I... am not entirely certain *yours* would fit. It's been a bit of a juggle." The dress she's wearing is one he's seen before. She's not actually caved in and bothered to get new clothing yet, at least that he can tell. She's just likely relegated herself to the part of her closet that isn't form fitting at all, or skirts she can button or zip over her expanded waist.

"And I told you I wouldn't *drive*... Jarvis was kind enough to insist on driving the car if I was going to come all the way out to the airport. That means, I can keep you company in the back. And he still has it warmed up waiting for us outside." She grins to him, lacing her arm through his so he can lean a bit heavier on her with his free shoulder as she escorts him towards the doors.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"Huh," he says when even his pants don't fit, yep, he's missed a lot.

When she mentions Jarvis he smiles, "Good of him to drive you, have he and Ana been out of your hair since I left?" he asks her a fond smile at the thought of their friends and their well meaning kindness.

He gratefully takes the help as they head for the doors, "Missed you Peg," he tells her as he limps along beside her.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"I missed you too. Desperately. That horrible Director woman, sending you off for weeks. Doesn't she know your wife is expecting?" Peggy teases lightly, but there is the edge of an apology behind her eyes too. Before they step out the door, she pauses to look at him, "I... am sorry, Daniel. I know it needed to happen but... God, it felt like longer than a month." She leans up to kiss him one more time. Lingering. Savoring.

Then she forces herself to get control. He needed off his feet. She settles on her heels again and leads the way out into the chilly thru way. Sure enough, Edwin Jarvis is there about 20 feet down the sidewalk, the big town car waiting for both of them. He waves eagerly, "...and 'out of my hair' wouldn't exactly describe it. They have been very worried I could not feed myself without you around. Where would they have gotten THAT idea?" Peggy mutters to him as they walk closer.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Chuckling, Daniel replies "She's a real slave driver, but gotta admit, she's easy on the eyes..." he says of the 'boss'. He shakes his head at the rest. "I know it did, and I got the job done over there, so nothing to apologize for, we knew the world wouldn't stop needing us." He returns that kiss with equal care and longing.

Daniel follows Peggy out into the cold upnodding to Jarvis as the man waves, he's got no free hands to wave back. "No idea, but you know them always hovering even when you weren't near to bursting..." he says in a bad attempt to cover whatever he might have said to them to encourage their care.
