A French, foreign exchange student. Pretty, smart (BSc in physics), friendly. Friends at school sometimes call her AZ for Absolute Zero. Outrageous accent. Known to have a very healthy appetite, enough to make a normal person morbidly obese.

Timeline:
* 2001: Born in Paris, France. Father unknown, mother disappeared shortly after giving birth, assumed to be an illegal immigrant. Adopted and raised by an elderly couple in the suborbs of Marseille. A hungry baby and child, how does all this food fit inside tiny little her?

* 2006: Started showing disturbing quirks, nearly maimed a child in her kindergarten when she accidentally nearly froze her arm. Still eats like a teenage boy but also sucking heat energy from nearby sources.

* 2015: recognized as a bit of a prodigy, joined the Polytech Marseille while still attending school. Having gained far better control over her 'powers', she can now cool things she touches to near absolute zero. The physics department secretly cares for that alone far more than for her intellect, so they put her on their BSC program.

* 2020: Much to the dismay of her university, Ayanna got an opportunity to continue her studies abroad and moves to the united states.

Friendly & Outgoing:
While managing to stay alone and concentrate on her studies or whatever chore is at hand, something inside her is restless and consuming, needing stimulation and more. Even without the supernatural effects, she's inherently a friendly person who enjoys positive social interaction and parties.

Glutton:
Ayanna is hungry for most anything, the black hole inside her isn't very picky for what form of energy it consumes. Food, heat, emotion, electric, it's insatiable but doesn't impose too much on the host.

Black Hole:
Ayanna literally hosts some kind of a black hole, either inside her or a gateway to such. Nobody did an autopsy or other invasive procedure to have a definitive answer. It's doesn't seem to be sentient. It's just simply hungry. While it spares her the ever consuming gravity well, it will absorb any given non kinetic energy offered, meaning she can potentially soak light, heat, electricity, radiation, you name it. She can still be harmed by any or all of those if she's being blasted without her consciously meaning to absorb it. Othwerwise she might prove fatal to everyone around her.

Depleting Touch:
By touching, Ayanna can deplete the target from selected or all readily availble energy, hence her Absolute Zero nick name. She can not 'eat' or 'consume' by touching food or a can of gasoline, but she can drain a battery, soak fire and absorb light.

Longevity:
The black hole doesn't take everything from her, unknown to her but she gets to keep some of the enegry going through and her aging process is now slowing gradually, probably coming to a standstill when she reaches her mid twenties.

Regardless of her powers, she studied hard and really deserves her BSc, she's a smart one, really!

Dancing:
Latin and Afro beats get her excited. Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk...

Snowboard:
She's good enough to post videos on youtube and having people watching them press the like button.

Allowance:
Ayanna is getting a decent allowance from her parents an the university, just enough to rent a small apartment and focus on her studies without having to find a job. Anything extra will require her to find extra income.

Foreigner:
Growing up abroad, Ayanna isn't natively familiar with English language and American culture beyond what is portrayed in movies and news.

Human:
She's human and shares all weaknesses known to humanity, especially when sleeping, distracted or unaware. Poison, physical damage (cuts, bashes etc), sickness, drowning, bad hair day...

The Hunger:
While the black hole is very 'generous' by giving Ayanna control over it, it's also very demanding. Ayanna is always needing, whether it's food, or some other kind of energy, social ineraction, emotion and experiences count too, the black hole isn't picky as long as it gets enough of something to absorb.
