Born in an era much more brutal than today, Teth-Adam rose to power when he was empowered by six Egyptian gods. Becoming BLACK ADAM, he overthrew Kahndaq's barbarian rulers and took control himself, ruling over the country with an iron fist. For half a century Kahndaq was well protected, becoming a hub of peace and prosperity. Imprisoned within a magical tomb for his continued disobedience to the wizard Shazam, Black Adam was finally freed in the 21st century. Now loose once again on the world, he tries to reclaim what was once his and make Kahndaq the greatest place on earth once more.

Timeline

Timeline:
* 1200 BC: Born and raised to live a harsh and painful life as a slave in the barbarian ruled Egyptian nations of Kahndaq.

* 1165 BC: While escaping underground prisons, Teth-Adam and his nephew Aman found themselves transported to the Rock of Eternity. Upon encountering the wizard Shazam, Aman is bestowed his powers as his new Champion. Aman, hoping to heal Adam, shares his powers with Teth.

* 1164 BC: Teth kills Aman, fearing that his approach of freeing Kahndaq would not only leave the country in ruin but cripple themselves.

* 1163 BC: Teth eliminates the barbarian leadership of Kahndaq in a violent manner, taking the throne for himself and ruling with an iron fist. He brings peace and prosperity to the masses.

* 1100 BC: Over the next sixty years Teth defends his homeland from a variety of invaders, leading it to what some call the pinnacle of civilisation. Despite these successes, Shazam, frustrated by Teth's violent ways, banishes him to an enchanted tomb.

* 2020: Doctor Thaddeus Sivana unseals Adam's tomb, the mgic that sealed it so tightly now unbound with Shazam deceased. Enraged at his imprisonment, Teth murders the entire team except for Sivana, before fleeing into the new world.

Personality

Care:
Despite the brooding, quiet and sometimes angry demeanour, Teth cares significantly about his people in Kahndaq. People often misjudge him on initial reactions and actions, only to realise late on down the line how much he does care about his country and people.

Driven:
Teth-Adam is a driven person, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Once he sets his mind onto something, it can be very difficult to stop him from at least trying to get what he wants.

End Justifies the Means:
Adam is certainly known as someone that can get things done, but it's most of the time done at great cost. He comes from an era where in order to get something, you take it forcefully. This mentality certainly hasn't changed in the 21st century, leading to some interesting personable situations.

Impatient:
Fair to say, Teth-Adam is an impatient man. If he doesn't get something or if something works against him, he has a tendency to snap in quite a bit of anger. Word for the wise: don't stand in his way!

Loyalty:
If one gains the favour of Teth-Adam, they will generally find themselves with it for a long period of time. Teth's loyalty extends beyond that of allegiances and race, meaning he's had quite a few alliances over the years.

Powers

Amon's Strength:
Black Adam's strength rivals that of the mighty Kryptonians when under a yellow sun. Though the upper limits are largely unknown, he is easily capable of lifting over a hundred tons.

Aton's Power:
It is the power of Aton that generates the magical lightning which transforms him. This lightning can not only be used to transform him, but also as a weapon against his enemies if aimed correctly. Through these powers, Black Adam can also travel to the fabled Rock of Eternity.

Heru's Speed:
Given the correct scenario and conditions, Black Adam is capable of speeds approaching that of light. Though true speedsters powered by the Speed Force are faster, he is certainly capable of giving them a run for their money.

Mehen's Courage:
With Godly courage, Black Adam possesses a superhuman resistance to mind control or other sorts of psychic manipulation. Mehen's courage also grants him an enormous amount of inner strength, which when combined with his own natural driven personality, makes him very difficult to stop once he gets going.

Shu's Stamina:
Black Adam does not require food, sleep, water or even oxygen to survive. Able to withstand even the harsh wilderness of space, he is physically invulnerable, able to withstand some of the strongest attacks out there. He also has a high level of resistance to magical spells. If he does succumb to injury, he recovers in a fraction of a time a normal mortal would.

Transformation:
Black Adam's powers are granted to him when he cries out the word 'SHAZAM'. Unlike his counterparts though, his powers are provided by the Egyptian pantheon. Though it was the Wizard Shazam who originally provided the link to the gods who empower him, the powers themselves come directly from the six. As a result, his powers cannot be stripped without their consent. Though he stays transformed practically all the time, reverting to his mortal state does sometimes happen should the situation call for it.

Zehuti's Wisdom:
Zehuti powers Black Adam's thought process, giving him a huge amount of knowledge about the magical and mundane. This makes him difficult to control when it comes to mental attacks, on top of making him seemingly 'know' appropriate knowledge when in different situations.

Skills

Ancient History:
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Adam possesses a great knowledge about a variety of subject matter when it comes to Ancient Egypt. Though there's not much practical use for these skills (for him, at least), it doesn't hurt when he feels the urge to school somebody!

Experienced:
Black Adam isn't new to this gig. In fact, he's had decades of experience to hone and fine-tune his powers. Because of that, he's developed a unique fighting style on both the ground and the air that really utilises them to their maximum.

Leadership:
As the leader of Kahndaq for over half a century, Teth-Adam developed a bulk of experience that added onto his already natural sense of leadership. He's not one to be a sheep and move along - he's the sort to take charge and lead should it be required, no matter what the cost. A lot of people find themselves at least partly understanding Teth's viewpoint, and those that are willing to listen a bit more may just find themselves swayed by his diplomacy.

Resources

Kahndaq:
Teth-Adam's home and the country he rules. Filled with his loyal subjects, it is always open for him and possesses a great many material items should he need them. Moreover though it is a place of great spiritual ease for Adam, and it's a place he often journeys to in order for solitude or meditation.

Weaknesses

Anger:
Though he doesn't get quite as enraged as the Hulk, Adam has been known to lose his temper on more than one occasion. This has proven to be a key weakness in his persona, as when he does lose it he often loses sight of his goal and can become easily distracted.

Mortal:
As powerful as Black Adam is, Teth-Adam is still just a regular, mortal man. Tricking him to change back into this form or forcefully changing him into this form exposes him to all the dangers that mortals encounter, putting him at great risk.

Out of Time:
Born and raised in an ancient Egyptian era gives you different traits than you otherwise would normally get. Teth-Adam is ruthless when it comes to achieving what he wants, so much so that he can be often seen as a villain. Even in regular social situations some of his actions can be a bit surprising, leading to frustrations from not only those around, but he himself.
