Profile
Like his father, a Ukrainian kickboxing champion, Boris has an augmented DNA due to his father having been experimented on by a group affiliated with the Falcone crime family of Gotham. Gifted with abilities derived from canines, Boris followed his father's footsteps fighting under the name "Warmir the Hound". Leaving that life behind after his father had gone missing, Boris immigrated to America. Working in a gym, investigating the secrets of the city and hoping to find details that will lead him back to his father.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1980: The Falcone family employs the Enterprise to create super-criminals.
* 1983: Igor Shostak is injected with the Canine Splicing formula invented by the Enterprise.
* 1992: Igor Shostak unfairly becomes Ukraine's kickboxing champion.
* 1993: Igor Shostak meets Marysa, whom he falls in love with.
* 1994: Boris Shostak is born, and Igor retires, much to the Enterprise's disdain. Few weeks later, Marysa is killed in a freak accident. The Enterprise continues to conduct experiments on other fighters.
* 2004: Boris exhibits Canine behaviour for the first time when he easily bonds with stray dogs in the neighbourhood.
* 2009: Boris begins getting into many brawls at school, showing his affinity for fighting. His father begins training him to help him redirect his urges.
* 2014: Boris was able to detect a tumour in his father by smell alone. Few weeks later, Igor is diagnosed with cancer.
* 2015: With the financial strain the medical bills put on him and his father, Boris had tracked down an underground fighting ring, and signed up behind his fathers back under the masked alias of "Warmir the Hound". Few weeks later he won his first fight and came back with a large sum of money.
* 2018: Boris's father had begun to go into remission. After years of fighting as a hound, and now a regular, his alias became a buzz in the streets. His father asked him about it for the first time, but Boris denied it.
* 2019: Boris's father had gone into complete remission, and the cancer seemed to be gone. Boris continued fighting, however.
* 2021: Boris's father disappears, with a note left behind that reads "Stop fighting for them." Using his keen sense of smell, Boris follows a trail that lead him back to the fighting ring.
* 2022: Boris became a US immigrant and arrived in Gotham, where the trail for his father leads. He got a job at a Gym.

Personality
Canine Like:
As a result of his mutation, Boris can sometimes exhibit dog like behaviors, like panting to regulate his body temperature or sniffing around. While to humans it might seem odd, the stray dogs in his neighborhood seemed to easily warm up to him.
Determined:
Boris has always been determined to get things done and make things happen. When his father got sick and needed money, he threw himself into fighting for it. When his father disappeared, he ventured to a foreign land to find him without any second thought. In a fight, he would push through the most excruciating pain as if it were nothing.
Hot Headed:
Boris has a quick tempered nature, often jumping into conclusions and always ready to brawl, a fact that can often get him into trouble.
Loyal:
Boris's loyalty can be compared to that of a dog and its master. Loyal to a fault. Even as he discoverers his father's past, he would be willing to cross the ocean for him. Any friend who would show him loyalty, would receive tenfold of that loyalty back, even if that "friend" is not that good of a person.
Thickheaded:
In a fight, Boris has excellent judgement, but that's as far as it goes for him. He is willing to learn, but growing up always getting into fights did not help his education much. Any sciency talk near him would lose his attention immediately.

Powers
Canine Empathy:
Boris has non verbal communication with canine animals, able to sense and understand their emotions and behaviors, and they can sense and understand his. Boris has an easier time getting wild canines to trust him, and is able to get these canines to help him in various ways.
Enhanced Condition:
Boris has inherited the effects of the gene splicing procedure his father had undergone, and as a result, ever since he was young, his strength, durability, and agility were always at a constant above peak human condition.
Enhanced Olfactory Sense:
When Boris was 8, he had manifested a power his father never had, able to detect specific people, objects, substances or even places, locate their origin, and track them with nothing but his nose. He was once even able to detect a tumor inside his father by smell.
Night Vision:
Boris has excellent vision, and the ability to see in low light conditions with sufficient spectral and intensity range. He is not, however, able to see in total darkness. Though it helps that he has a good sense of smell to remain aware of his surroundings.
Pain Resistance:
Another attribute to his enhanced condition, Boris is resistant to physical pain, allowing him to power through serious injuries and continue to function. That doesn't mean he doesn't feel it, and can still be affected by it on rare occasion.
Skills
Acrobatics:
Boris is able to leap from surface to surface with ease, has a strong grip while climbing, and can sometimes even manage to evade a few projectiles. Though this skill can be attributed to his enhanced condition, it doesn't come without some practice.
Bandaging:
While a minor skill, after the countless injuries Boris had sustained during his days in the underground fighting ring, he had learned how to treat those injuries and bandage himself like a pro. He knows how to stop a bleeding, and how to snap a bone back into place.
Kickboxing:
Taught to him by his father from a young age, Boris had come to master the art of punching and kicking. It helps that he's got long arms and legs to easily reach his opponents. His fighting expertise had always lead him to victory in the underground fighting ring.
Martial Arts:
Boris also studied Taekwondo and Mauy Thai, and in Gotham he began studying Karate. Although he's not a master in any of these martial arts the way he is at kickboxing, he is able to combine these techniques to form his own houndlike fighting style.
Tracking:
Mostly attributed to his power, Boris had eventually become a master at tracking, not only relying on his sense of smell. As thickheaded as he may be, he knows how to follow a plethora of trails.
Resources
A Baton:
Though he doesn't typically use one, Boris does like to crack a few skulls with a bat he brought from back home which has his father's initials on it.
Hound Mask:
A poorly sown together mask Boris has made when he first started fighting in the rings. Now he could also use it to conceal his identity while fighting crime.
Weaknesses
Color Blind:
A side effect of his father having undergone gene splicing, Boris was born with eyes that work the same way canine's eyes do, and that means his eyes only have two cones. Boris cannot perceive the colors red or green - Though he's still able to perceive shades containing either of those colors, which sometimes helps him guess what color he's looking at.
Foreign Accent:
Boris had learned some english back in Ukraine, and though it's adequate, his slavic accent is very thick which can make some words incomprehensible to native english speakers. Overall, this can make his ability to communicate difficult.
Secret Identity:
Boris doesn't want the Enterprise to know who he really is, and has to navigate his activity in a way that they wouldn't. Though he may jump into fights easily, he might also find it best to get out of sight just as quickly.
Strange Behavior:
Though most of the time Boris can manage to appear entirely normal, his canine behaviors can sometimes jump out of him when he sees a squirrel run by or a Frisbee fly past. He is often embarrassed of these behaviors and can get quite upset when others witness them. It can make him quite self conscious, and turn away from people without giving them a chance.
