Profile
Doll is a manic, multiplying pixie of a mutant. A criminal, league trained and occasionally a henchwoman for hire, Doll is a proud mutant who can literally be her own mooks. Able to literally learn from her fatal mistakes, Doll seeks to find fun and experience in as much of the world as she can manage...with as many of her as she can manage.
Timeline
Timeline:
01 April 2005: Born in a New York to a young French Ex-Pat and an American wife at first estatic to welcome a new member into their family.
2006: Joy swiftly turned to horror at the idea of their firstborn child being a 'freak' when her eyes first changed color to something more unnatural during the height of the mutant panic. Doll does not know this, as she is deposited at an orphanage.
2006-2018 Life wasn't much sweeter as a meta under the guardianship of a nun who believed those lights in her eyes to be the fires of the fallen and a mark of the devil. Kept seperate from the other children, her only view of the outside world a small window too high for those below to see her when she called out.
2018: Finally intending to make her escape in desperation, Lily would leap from the window to escape and fall the fatal difference to her demise below. Except she didn't...she remembered the fall, remembered the impact...but instead she found herself simply sitting there, fallen on the ground in front of her own form only for it to evaporate into sparkling lights.
2018-2020: Testing the limits of her abilities, Doll's new powers grew with practice and soon she developed the tricks and talents she needed to survive. She never had a home, but never would she go hungry again.
2020: Eventually, Doll's path would bring her to a meeting of chance as she broke into a building for the purpose of thievery that turned out to be more than merely a collection of cultural icons, but the hideout of a member of league of shadowy warriors and assassins.
Ambushed by a stranger she hadn't detected Lily attempted to use her powers to overwhelm and escape...and failed miserably. She's completely outmatched.
Doll's ability to multiply and 'rebuild herself' peaks the strangers interest and Doll is made an offer: She would be trained to defend herself with more than just her tricks, and to have the skills to capitalize on her gifts if she would utilize those very skills when the time came and he called on her. 2022:On the date of her birthday when she returned to the dwelling her instructor had disappeared along with all trace of him. Lily herself didn't even know what had become of the man, if he had died or if he had simply moved on.
2022: onwards: With the skills at her disposal she set out to put them to another use. Certainly there would be plenty out there that would be willing to pay the right price for her gifts and her skills.

Personality
Joyful:
What's life when consequences are always a learning experience? Doll can often come across as happy, excited, eerily so. Being literally a girl who can bounce back from 'anything' as far as she knows means any task can be taken on not just without fear, but with a happy knowledge that it could be a thrilling new experience.
Sweet?:
Doll personality can be a bit of a duality. At times she often comes across as sweet, playful and almost childish that is perhaps accented by her appearance and quiet, but her demeanor can swiftly turn serious to the point of sinister when drawn out.

Powers
Dolls:
Doll is able to create duplicates of herself instaneously she refers to as 'dolls'. These clones are fully independent, conscious and aware, able to make their own decisions. Each duplicate has a shared consciousness of sorts, able to 'upload' their information to a shared conciousness. It allows each to experience or 'remember' what the other is doing or has done . Every Doll can never really be cut off fully from this mental upload without a means of erasing the actual memory, even if the clone is destroyed. Dolls can also make dolls up to five comfortably or around a dozen at a push before the mental 'noise' gets too disorientating for her to comfortably operate. Any 'Doll' can be reabsorbed into another at any time and when one is destroyied it evaporates into sparkling lights to eventually reassemble itself. If every Doll is destroyed, this energy will eventually reform into a single 'doll' in several hours once the disorientated 'cloud' conciousness can pull itself together.
Skills
Acrobatic:
Doll is very talented at getting around the enviornment, climbing, and manuevering and, as a highly trained martial artist, she has exceptional balance. There are certainly people in the world more skilled or better trained than her at it, but she's good enough at it that had she lived a more 'legitimate' life then she would have been a shoe-in for the olympics.
Break and Entering:
Doll has an extensive experience in more mundane security systems. While alien, bleeding-edge electronic and similar would leave her stumped, Old-fashioned and standard market alarms are something that she can manage. Assuming that she doesn't simply have someone kick the door in for her.
Martial Arts:
Doll has become a skilled martial artist. Being able to be injured or killed while still learning from her mistakes has helped her to get more out of her two years of training than most could. However her skills are short of those of full League of Assassins member acquires with a true lifetime of training. She can handle multiple opponents of common skill without requiring her clone 'dolls', but when outmatched her mutant ability to change the numbers can offer her a surprising strength in numbers.
So Cute You Could Die!:
Doll is quite aware how petite, pretty, adorable she looks despite her actual criminal and violent life choices. Twisted just right, she can turn this to an 'eerie' menace, but otherwise it can often serve to her advantage to be percieved as innocent.
Weaponry:
Similarly to her skills in martial arts, Doll has been trained to skillfully wield a wide variety of weapons from traditional blades and martial arts weapons to more modern firearms. While she doesn't measure up to the greatest masters, she's still a highly trained assassin.
Resources
Contacts:
Through bribery, guile, intimidation and debts, Doll has been learning how to establish contacts withing the city, both criminal and legitament to feed her information about police activity, other criminal enterprises, super-hero activities and even bigger 'villains' recruiting.
Hideouts:
Doll has begun to build a knack for finding and establishing 'hideouts' and safe houses she can take refuge in when the heat gets a little too high. Most of them blend into plain sight, or exist within forclosed and abandoned properties.
Outsourced Henchmen:
Like any good 'study', Doll has been the right-hand girl for other villains and 'super-villains' and has watched closely their means of finding muscle to gather up a crew for herself or whomever she herself is working for when she wants to rely on something or someone other than her 'Dolls'. While she doesn't quite have the same rep to draw on as some of the big names, with enough time she is getting good at often picking a few very talented individuals, but at the very least she's always able to find some 'mooks'.
Toys of the Trade:
Either through employers or her own illicit connections, Doll is able to often source the weapons, gear or tech she needs for a job. While cutting edge tech usually requires a well-equiped patron, more mundane equipment for jobs or her usual 'League' gear is rarely a bother.
Weaknesses
Build Space:
While Doll herself can come back from all of her copies being destroyed, she cannot utilize this to teleport herself somewhere. The new 'Doll' will reform slowly and somewhere within 100 meters of the last doll destroyed. Even when forming a new Doll while she has others, each new one may be able to form instantly, but will be formed within 10 meters of its source.
Mental Bandwidth:
'Uploading' information from all of her copies means that her collective conciousness can sometimes be trying to make sense of too much if multiple dolls were to be destroyed at once forcing them all to 'reupload' their memories and experience immediately, leading to dizziness and disorientation for the remaining Dolls.
Missing Teacher:
Doll's mentor agreed to train her in exchange for the promise that she'd put her skills to his tasks and cause. Yet he vanished before exactly what he wanted could be explained or the debt called in. Should he or his ilk return, just what might be demanded of her or whatever she had carved out for herself is anyone's guess, especially since the League didn't actively approve of her recieving instruction.
