Eternal Death

Death is one of the four Eternals, the most potent of all ideologues in the universe.

Death is the end of all life. It is the final breath of the last sentient being, the last gasp of energy from the final fluttering bacterium. It is the balancing force with Eternity, the march of progress where that which Is perishes to make room for what Will Be.

Death of the Endless is an aspect of this primal ideologue. Her domain is specifically the life of mortals. She is the first and final of all psychopomps. When a mortal perishes she offers to escort them to their afterlife. Some refuse, attached to unfinished business. Over time they go insane with loneliness and despair and become ghosts that threaten the living. Those who join her go where their harmony drives them, a calculus that only Death herself seems to completely understand.
