Cast of Characters: Harper Row

"Who knows what an industrious techie could get up to if she were to stick around here unsupervised for that whole time! Not me."

Red Robin to Superboy before "unintentionally" leaving Harper Row in the Outsiders' Fabrication Shop for nine hours.

Left alone in a cutting edge fabrication shop, fully equipped with 3d printers and other machines to work metal, plastics, wood and ceramics (along with other materials) as well as a diverse assortment of tools to make and repair almost any sort of gear, outfits (ranging from basic costuming to all-out armor) and even weapons.

Another time limit, while Harper may soon become annoyed with others imposing time limits on her today is not that day as the joy of this environment dismisses any hint of the same annoyance she felt toward Oracle earlier in the evening. Plus, this time she knows up front what and why the time limit is for and she's getting to have fun making things for herself.

She spends her first hour examining the shop, checking out the equipment in it and building a plan for the rest of the night. During this investigation the base's robo-chef brings down the sandwiches (grilled roast beef on rye, including Dijon mustard, red onions and still gooey Swiss cheese) and coffee that Superboy had ordered for her before Red Robin and he departed. Once she's done eating and coming up with her plan she starts by hacking the control systems and attempting to disable the logging functions built into the shop's control systems but coming to realize that she's not up to the task (but she does find a way to send Tim a delayed private message saying <<Good security routines>> as a way of complimenting the system's security architecture).

The costuming options were attractive, but the project she's been working on longer is her gun. She never stored the plans electronically but having written down she's also committed the design to memory. She's easily able to duplicate her gauss-gun design on a more portable scale although the final design of the gun's exterior will be found not to perfectly match her original visually when she compares the drawing at home (before destroying the notes) especially as she ended up printing an impact resistant carbon fiber casing for it. This took a couple of hours to set up and with a total of six to print the casing and complete the assembly.

During the printing of the gun, the costuming is worked on. Customized ankle boots with sound dampening properties in the soles and steel reinforce toes are made as is a body suit and accompanying jacket with reinforced plating in the jacket and shin and knee guards that can attach to the bodysuit. Made with a computer assisted design system, the outfit is made to fit Harper and she smiles at the perfect fit when she tries it on, finally putting on the simple mask that is similar in design to ones already in the system but, like the rest of the outfit, blue instead of the original blacks or greens that the original masks had.

All-in-all it was a busy night, leading to a clear advancement of her gear but she already saw potential improvement. But Harper realized those would need to wait for another day.
