Idunn has many names -- the Maiden, the Ever-Young, the Rejuvenator -- all of which pertain to her role as the Asgardian goddess of Spring, Immortality, and Youth. She is the only one who can grow and harvest the Golden Apples, the source of all Aesir immortality, assuring a treasured place within the Asgardian pantheon. In truth, she is just one 'face' of the larger deific representation of The Maiden, the youngest of the three Fates who can be found across countless cultures. Because of this, she is capable of displaying startling demonstrations of power -- her ancient existence at odds with the youthful guise she wears.

Personality

Bad Liar:
Idunn does not have a talent for guile. Any lies or attempts at manipulation tend to be very obvious.

Curious:
Idunn has lived vicariously through others for a very long time. Some people might say she is nosy, others might be kind enough to call it (un)healthy curiosity. Nonetheless, she seems completely comfortable asking intimate questions and prying into matters that are not her business. This sense of wonder also extends to the unfamiliar world around her. What's that? Who's that? What would happen if I pushed this button? Hopefully she has more luck than the dead cat.

Friendly:
Idunn is blessed with an outgoing personality and an easy charm. Exceptionally loquacious, she often speaks with a flurry of animation and extroverted confidence. This chatterbox can usually find a reason to talk to just about anyone about anything (see +per curious).

Nurturing:
Idunn is a natural caretaker. This extends to people, plants, animals -- anything needing TLC. If someone is put in her care, they can expect lots of unnecessary fussing.

Optimistic:
She has retained a wide-eyed optimism, believing that most people and cosmological destinies are bound to be good. Concepts such as truth, love, and valor always win.

Passionate:
She is enthusiastic and prone to charging wholeheartedly into an endeavor or cause she believes in. When she cares about something or someone, she REALLY cares. There are rarely lukewarm feelings where she is concerned.

Stubborn:
She can also be bullheaded and unyielding, even if facts or logic reveal flaws in her reasoning. Once her mind is made up about something, there is very little to be done to change it.

Powers

Advanced Healing Factor:
Idunn naturally possesses a highly advanced metabolism that allows her to heal with superhuman speed and efficiency. When it comes to injuries, she will miraculously recover more quickly than a human being and even significantly faster than most Asgardians. She is so blessed with vitality that she can even extend this gift to someone else via touch, effectively healing their wounds with the same expediency. The drawback is that this takes some vitality from her, potentially leaving her weak and unable to heal herself until properly recovered.

Allspeak:
Idunn can communicate and be understood by all races.

Beast Affinity:
Animals tend to trust and like Idunn. Unless she is provoking them, most beasts (both magical and mundane) will remain calm and complacent in her presence. This skill is often used in conjunction with Allspeak.

Golden Apples:
Idunn is the only one who can plant and harvest Asgard's golden apples. This has afforded her an important albeit niche role in court. Most recently, she has discovered that she can grow them on Midgard (supposing she has one of their seeds to plant).

Green Magic:
Idunn has an affinity for plant life. She can make things grow and bloom with a touch and command the natural world around her -- animating trees, vines, whatever else. She can also communicate with them on a basic level, garnering a glimpse of their 'memories' or any other impressions left in the area.

Life Magic:
Even compared to other Asgardians, Idunn can heal herself and other living beings with startling efficiency; she is even able to ease any pain or discomfort with but a touch. She is also able to manipulate a living thing's internal workings (heart, lungs, bowels *ahem*) for better or ill. Her natural tether to life also allows her to assess the health of organic matter (ie: people, plants, animals - but not technology) and detect when something is awry. Often, she is able to pick up on maladies (both mundane and supernatural) even before a being displays physical symptoms. Sometimes, in very rare and special circumstances, Idunn is even capable of bringing a person back from death -- but only with a heap of caveats; this includes timing (it's easier to make a heart beat again if it's only recently stopped), method of death (killed by a mundane sword vs. a powerful curse), and more intangibly, the will of the other two fates -- The Crone and the Mother. If all three are in agreement that a soul deserves another chance, this miracle becomes a lot more feasible. But...it is rare to happen. Performing this act alone is incredibly draining for Idunn as she is literally transferring her own life force into another being's body. Subsequently, it is one thing to reanimate the petty life of a human and another thing to bring back a powerful Asgardian. What would happen if she ever exerted all of her energy until her own longevity ran dry? Even she does not know.

Superhuman Durability:
Asgardian flesh and bone is three times denser than similar human tissue, contributing to their superhuman strength and weight. She is able to face threats such as bullets, blades, exposures to temperature and pressure extremes, and falls from great heights without sustaining physical injury.

Superhuman Longevity:
The Asgardian gods are extremely long-lived but they are not truly immortal -- unlike Idunn. She is the goddess of youth and immortality and thus remains suspended in a state of young adulthood. If she *is* aging, it is at such a gradual rate to be unnoticeable.

Superhuman Speed:
Idunn is not especially athletic beyond the natural capabilities of her Asgardian heritage. She can run a clip faster than the greatest human athlete but she's unlikely to win any racing contests amongst her deific peers.'

Superhuman Stamina:
She is blessed with the stamina of an Asgardian goddess.

Superhuman Strength:
Idunn is superhumanly strong. She is able to lift somewhere around 20 tons, which is admittedly on the lower end for an Asgardian. She is unlikely to win any arm-wrestling contests amongst her peers, although a mortal would be suitably impressed.

Winter's Grip:
Unbeknownst to her (for now), Idunn also possesses a foil to her life-giving abilities. She is capable of rapidly aging and weakening organic material through touch, essentially siphoning off its/their life force to replenish her own levels or to make herself especially powerful for a time. This grip can make fresh fruit rot, young flesh wrinkle, or make the appropriate materials decompose.

Skills

Charm:
Idunn radiates an effervescence, a joie de vivre, that can best be described as personal magnetism. She is the goddess of youth and vitality, and it often lends her the appearance of wide- eyed innocence which in turn makes her appear sincere and trustworthy. Usually, people are inclined to help her.

Green Thumb:
Idunn is excellent at gardening and wields a green thumb. Flowers and plants seem to thrive in her presence, often growing lush and riotous within her care.

Horseback Riding:
Idunn is proficient at horseback riding and horsemanship.

Lyre:
Idunn is masterful with the lyre.

Singing:
Idunn has a sweet singing voice and has entertained many listeners at court.

Resources

Golden Apple:
The Golden Apples of Idunn grow only in Asgard, and can only be picked by the goddess Idunn. They are what grants the Asgardians their vigor, youth, and virtual immortality. They only grow in a garden found to the east of the Hall of Valhalla, which is why she has been unable to leave the realm for all of this time. In actuality, these 'Golden Apples' are synonymous with the 'Immortal Fruit' found in other legends, such as the Olympians with their ambrosia or the Chinese with their immortal peaches. They are all faces of the same legend ( https://heroesassemble.mushhaven.com/index.php?title=Immortal_Fruits ).

Lyre:
Said to have been crafted from one of her precious apple trees, this lyre is especially beautiful in make and sound.

Winged Horse:
Idunn might have made off with her mother's winged horse, Arni. He once served as Freya's steed during her brief tenure as Valkyrie.

Weaknesses

Bad Liar:
Idunn does not have a talent for guile. Any attempts to lie or manipulate is usually very obvious.

Earth Knowledge:
Idunn is completely ignorant of Midgard's history, geography, and culture beyond its relation to the Aesir gods. She has heard second-hand knowledge from some of the adventurers but most of the concepts and experiences are foreign to her.

No Combat Training:
Idunn has no martial skills to speak of. She knows what end of the sword you're supposed to hold but other than that she doesn't have a clue what to do with it.

Softhearted:
It is difficult for Idunn to witness any form of suffering. It is in her nature to nurture, not harm, which is why it can be so easy to manipulate her goodness. She will forgive the same person for the same wrongs over and over, because she wants to believe they are sorry. This also makes it easy to leverage her love for others.
