Personality

Legacy:
After learning the history of his family's legacy, deep down he does feel responsible to live up to what they've done in the past, though he wants to put his own spin on it. It is the 21st century, and while the family legacy is important to him, he's not going to change who he is, but will make things work his way.

Reluctant:
Jason is a bit reluctant to be a hero. He never knew anything about his family's legacy or that he would have to inherit the powers. His father rejected the mantle, which meant it passed down to him. He thought he would have a comfortable life living on his family's money and then would inherit the company some day, but things have changed and now he has powers and responsibility.

Wild Child:
Jason has always been kind of a wild child. Getting into trouble, playing by his own rules, and talking or buying his way out of situations that he finds himself in. That's not as possible with some of the newer threats he comes across as a hero, and he's having to adjust to dealing with things, though his skill in talking his way out of situations may come in handy.

Powers

Weapon Manifestation:
Glaive's artifact is able to store weapons, as long as they are not too complex, and then is able to manifest them at will. Over the last 800 years a massive collection has been built up. The weapons cannot be too complicated, however, so no firearms or bombs. The most complex weapon he has access to is a crossbow. However due to the magic of the artifact, the weapons are nigh unbreakable.

Weapon Warp:
Once a weapon has been manifested, he is able to do a short range teleport to the weapon's location if he throws or fires it. This has a range limit, so he cannot leave a weapon somewhere and teleport to it once it is outside of his range. He also can overtax himself if he uses the teleport too much in a short period of time.

Skills

Business Knowledge:
Jason does have a degree in business, and despite getting a job in his family's company, he's no slouch in that department, quite capable of managing situations that arise in the family's company. In addition, he has put his focus on the R&D section of the company.

Close Quarters Combat:
Jason has learned martial arts since a young age, at the insistance of his grandfather, which turned out to be because of the plan to train him as the new Glaive. He also has extensive practice with melee weapons of many varieties, and has participated in and won competitions.

Free Running:
Also part of his training, despite not knowing what it was for, was free running. Useful for getting around on rooftops, Glaive also uses these skills in combat to maneuver around the battlefield when he is engaging opponents, doing his best to keep them off balance.

Guitar Playing:
Jason is actually a very capable guitar player. Having been learning since he was about eight years old, he had considered starting a band but his attempts to do so didn't go well, but he has continued to keep up his practice just the same.

Leadership:
Son of the CEO or not, Jason takes his job seriously and does what he can to ensure that his leadership is above board. His particular leadership style often comes from seeking out those with more experience for advice, and taking into consideration many options before making a decision, but he will lead from the front, either in the board room or on the streets.

Resources

Family Wealth:
Glaive's family is wealthy, and he has never wanted for anything his whole life. Because of this, he can buy anything he wants using the family's resources, and he uses that money to benefit him with his new crime fighting escapades.

Glaive Armor:
Over the years, the various Glaives have used the most modern type of equipment that they could, and the newest one is no exception. He wears a modern set of tactical armor, including bulletproof aramid fibers in the bodysuit and hood, and a mask to obscure his face under the hood.

Glaive Bracer:
The artifact that grants him his powers, the Bracer was created in the 12th century and bound to his family's bloodline. It cannot be used by anyone not related to his family by blood, and is what contains the weaponry. It looks like a silver bracer with a yellow crystal embedded in it.

Weaknesses

Bracer:
Without the gauntlet, he has no powers. While nobody else can use it, if he doesn't have it on him, he cannot access any of the abilities it provides, preventing him from getting any of his weapons or being able to teleport with them. Everything runs through the gauntlet.

Cocky:
Despite his inexperience, he is confident in his abilities, perhaps overly so, and this can lead to him biting off more than he can chew when it comes to facing down hostiles. Sure he is able to take down a few street thugs armed with handguns, but when it comes to facing a true super powered threat, he may be in over his head.

Inexperienced:
Glaive is still new at being a hero, and it shows. He is inexperienced, and despite training and mentoring from his grandfather, he still has a lot to learn about how to be a hero, and what it means to really put himself out there.
