Jennie-Lynn Hayden is a recent transplant to New York City, young and relatively new to the heroics game. She's had an online presence as a content creator for some time, putting out videos about her politics, mostly solidarity with mutants and the less fortunate, and never hidden her powers but never turned them to what one might call heroic ends until recently. As she discovers her titanic powers, she becomes more confident that she can really effect the change in the world she wants to see.

Timeline

Timeline:
* 2002: Jennie-Lynn is born with her twin brother Todd. They are separated and given up for adoption by her birth mother. At time of writing, Jennie-Lynn is not aware her birth mother is Rose Canton, the supervillain Thorn, or that her birth father is Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, though she has noticed how similar her powers are to a Green Lantern's and has suspicions. She is distantly but inexpressibly aware of Todd's existence by a magical connection between them.
* 2010: Her powers manifest when she is attacked by a janitor at the orphanage. She does not discuss it, and the janitor escapes.
* 2011: She is adopted by Julian and Myrna Hayden.
* 2014: She turns green. She is taken for a mutant whose powers are beginning to manifest. This is demonstrably untrue, as she'd had powers for years prior, but nevertheless teaches Jennie-Lynn important lessons about compassion and pride in the face of bigotry. Her parents successfully fight to keep her enrolled in her school, which she wants not because she thinks she will be able to keep her friends but because the bigots don't get to win and drive her off. She becomes something of a hermit during this time, which her parents mistake for depression. She sequesters herself because she is afraid her rage will make her powers take revenge on her oppressors, and she's also afraid she'll like it. During this time, she turns to social media for human contact, and discovers online communities dedicated to highlighting and supporting struggling people. She decides to join these communities and add her voice to the chorus, discussing politics, philosophy, and body positivity for non-humans. She is forced to mature enough to learn that her anger will not improve her situation, so she begins to learn to hide it behind her smile.
* 2020: She completes high school and moves to New York City.

Personality

Idealistic:
Jennie-Lynn may be Jade, but she's not jaded. Despite everything that's happened to her, she refuses to lose her hope. She deliberately sees the best in every situation and refuses to give in to failure.

Sympathetic:
Jennie-Lynn has been an outcast for most of her life. It's taught her that compassion is precious. She feels for people, especially the down-trodden.

Vehement:
More than just self-assured and strident, beneath Jennie-Lynn's relentless positivity is an ugly undercurrent of anger she tries her best to deny.

Powers

Green Energy:
Jennie-Lynn can expel and manipulate a green energy that seems nearly limitless in its applications. If there is some internal battery that fuels her powers, she has never managed to empty it or even use enough energy to make using her powers more difficult until recharging.

* Blasts and Explosions: Jennie-Lynn can cause rays and bursts of force and/or heat to emanate from her body. Her control over them allows her to fine-tune how much force and/or heat any given blast generates, so she can pull her punch.

* Constructs: Jennie-Lynn can turn the green energy solid and shape it into any object she can imagine. These objects are just puppets controlled by her imagination, though, so she can't, for example, create a tiny calculator that knows how to do equations she doesn't. She found that out studying for a calculus test and was quite disappointed.

* Emit Force Barriers: This seems to be the foundation of her Constructs ability. She can create force fields out of green energy and control their shape and density; for example, to surround herself in a protective bubble that still allows air to pass through.

* Flight Aura: Jennie-Lynn can surround herself with a tight aura that allows her to fly. She's reached hypersonic speeds in the past, traveling from New York City to Milwaukee in twenty minutes. Her aura protects her from the friction and debris of such speeds, but doesn't bestow superhuman senses or reflexes that would allow her to know how to use that speed safely, so she prefers to travel much slower. This aura also keeps her internal temperature comfortable and makes sure she can breathe easily.

* Matter Manipulation: Jennie-Lynn can rearrange the molecules of matter into other things, but for some reason, it only seems to work on her own clothes, to turn them into one of her costumes and back again. She has no idea why.

* Perceive Astral and Magical Energies: Jennie-Lynn can choose to extend her senses into what she thinks are other dimensions (which may be technically true, but not the way she thinks) to perceive beings in astral and magical realities. She doesn't do this often. The denizens of other realities are often scary, and she privately fears this ability is a sign of psychosis.

Twin-Epathy:
Okay, so that was a bad portmanteau. Nevertheless, she is subconsciously and empathically aware of her twin brother's existence and shares a lot with him, even though she's never met him or consciously suspected he exists at time of writing.

Skills

Acting:
She has some talent in acting and putting on a show which goes hand in hand with modelling and fashion. Again no pro but definitely a developing talent.

Basic Combat:
Still new to the suoerheroing gig, Jen is eager to learn the ropes and while fearful to use the full extent of her powers, years growing up in the orphanage and being bullied for her lions has led her to develop some ways to defend herself even before her powers manifested. She had no formal combat training yet but she is definitely not helpless in a fight.

Fashion:
Jennifer has dabbled a bit in fashion design and sewing but is definitely no pro, but she definitely has a good eye for pleasant fashion and style arrangements, and she has dabbled in seeing her own clothes too. This is an off shoot of her photography talents.

Modelling:
She has a knack for the camera and for posing and fashion. While not an established model yet, she does have the body and the looks for a promising modelling career and has done a few one offs.

Photography:
Jennie-Lynn has been creating online content for a few years now and knows a lot about shot composition, lighting, framing, and the equipment necessary to make quality photos and videos.

Weaknesses

Blatant:
Jennie-Lynn's powers are not subtle. They always involve at least a flash of green light for instantaneous effects like blasts, and a persistent aura around longer effects. Her constructs are patently unnatural, looking as if they are made of a transparent, green, gem-like shell encasing a slowly crawling green fire inside.

Kermit Jokes:
Jennie-Lynn's skin, hair, and nails are all green. She is clearly inhuman.

Starheart:
Jennie-Lynn's powers are not tied to the green light of willpower. Though she doesn't know it (at least at time of writing), her real father was the inheritor of a magic ring empowered by a prehistoric cosmic being made of sentient, magical chaos energy, and this being imbued Jennie-Lynn with a seed of its power. As such, a strain of chaos runs through her powers, making them occasionally dark and unreliable.

Wood:
Jennie-Lynn's powers cannot affect wood at all. She can't harm it with blasts, block it with force fields, or pick it up with constructs. Wood acts as if her energy does not exist.
