Profile
A gambler and fighter from Las Vegas, Keith Brooks was the kind of guy who was never really going to amount to anything worthwhile. That was until he found himself on the wrong side of refusing to throw a fight, and his survival in the desert was entirely dependent on an alien symbiote that was also trapped there. The two of them bonded and worked together to escape, returning to Vegas to make a bit of money before moving to New York City to escape the hostile forces that had tried to kill him in the first place.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1992: Born in San Diego, California to Ken and Mary.
* 2000: Mother dies in supposed car
accident.
* 2002: Attempts to run away from abusive home, is brought back.
* 2004: Attempts to
run away again.
* 2006: Keith successfully runs away and fakes his age to get a job.
* 2008:
Wandering for a couple of years now, taking odd jobs where he can, he winds up in Los Angeles.
*
2010: Having established himself in Los Angeles working construction, he began taking frequent trips
to Las Vegas.
* 2012: In the wake of a major earthquake, Keith finds himself helping to rescue
people with heavy construction machinery.
* 2013: Found himself working on the sets of various
Hollywood productions including Space Trek: 2222 and Weird West.
* 2015: Having found himself in
a lot of debt, he begins to get into underground high stakes fights in LA.
* 2017: Doomsday's
attack destroys large swaths of the Western US, Keith once again goes to work trying to help
survivors.
* 2019: Keith moves to Las Vegas in order to continue working underground fights with
higher stakes.
* 2020: Using knowledge of other fighters, Keith begins placing larger and larger
bets.
* 2020: The meteor containing the Klyntar symbiote Lesion crashes in a secluded part of the
Mojave desert.
* 2021: Keith finds himself on the wrong side of a bad bet, and gets left for dead
in a secluded part of the Mojave desert.
* 2021: Lesion finds Keith close to death, and bonds
with him. The pair are able to work together enough to escape the desert.
* 2021: The pair know
they can't go back to Vegas, so they head east, eventually finding themselves in New York due to
other symbiotes being spotted there.

Personality
Determined:
He never stops trying, regardless of the situation he finds himself in. It's what's allowed him
to keep going in life when things have seemed their bleakest, and it's part of what allows him to
maintain some control over Lesion rather than being totally overwhelmed by the symbiote. He's strong
willed and stubborn.
Quick Tempered:
Keith has always been quick to anger, and Lesion's influence has not helped matters anyway. If
he feels that he has been slighted, he can go off quickly. He'll calm down once whatever has managed
to piss him off has been dealt with, or if he's punched a hole in a wall.
Would Be Hero:
Keith likes to think he'll be a hero. That he can just swoop in and save people, that it'll be
easy like he's seen on TV. He has no idea how hard it actually is in order to be a hero, and the
influence from Lesion can make his judgement in situations where he needs to be heroic less than
useful. Still he'll keep trying.

Powers
Symbiote: Agility:
The Lesion symbiote has given Keith the kind of agility he never would have imagined he could
have had before. He's able to react to gunfire to evade it, especially if he expects it. He mostly
uses the newfound speed to evade attacks when in close quarters combat.
Symbiote: Enhanced Senses:
While it does generally require focus in order to use the enhanced senses, the Lesion symbiote
does allow Keith to use his senses in far more acute ways than he would be able to normally. He can
focus his hearing, or vision, even his sense of smell or taste. He can use the enhanced senses to
listen in on conversations or track targets, to name a few potential uses.
Symbiote: Flight:
One of the things that the Lesion symbiote specializes in is its ability to form wings and take
to the sky with them. He is able to carry his own weight and then some, though he can't use his full
strength when he's in the air, he's still more than capable of lifting others with him when he
flies.
Symbiote: Reaction:
The symbiote can react without input from Keith, it is a sapient being after all, but Lesion
will take control in order to respond to threats or potential harm. It's always on and functions as
a sixth sense to help keep Keith, and by extension itself, out of harm's way.
Symbiote: Regeneration:
The symbiote can heal him if he gets injured. While the healing factor may not be instantaneous,
he is able to survive things which would kill normal humans. Injuries can be recovered from, though
it requires a lot of energy to be done and more severe injuries can't be recovered while in the
field.
Symbiote: Shapeshifting:
Like all symbiotes, Lesion has the ability to change it's form. This is primarily used in combat
in order to form talons for close quarters, or to form wings to move around. Lesion has a bit of an
affinity for birds due to its time in the desert, and tends to maintain a vaguely avian shape more
often than not.
Symbiote: Strength:
The symbiote has granted Keith strength far beyond what any normal human could ever hope to
have. He can pick up and throw a car with a little effort, and can easily smash through concrete
walls and tear through steel plate with his talons.
Skills
Combat:
Keith isn't a trained fighter, at least not in any official way, but he has been fighting
underground for years. He's a brawler, focusing on close quarters combat and grapples, aided by the
Lesion symbiote.
Construction:
Keith has worked construction for years, so he knows how to put buildings together. But he also
knows how to take buildings apart, and can use that knowledge when in a fight to target the right
load bearing sections to bring it down on top of someone should the need arise. Or to avoid those
sections if he's trying to keep the place standing.
Hard Knocks:
While he does have a GED, Keith has never been much for school learning. He's spent most of his
time learning how to live on his own, and he knows how to live in less than lavish conditions.
Resources
Fight Winnings:
With the Lesion symbiote, Keith's underground fight record has turned around. He can win fights
much more easily now, which means more winnings and more money, as long as he keeps Lesion hidden as
much as possible, though eventually to work his way into the big money fights, will need to enter as
Lesion rather than himself.
Job:
Keith still maintains a job, working freelance construction where he can. He also uses the fact
that a high visibility vest and a clipboard will allow you to get basically anywhere unchecked.
Weaknesses
Gambling Addict:
Keith loves to gamble. Most money he makes that doesn't go into survival will end up going into
betting. This attitude is what wound up setting in motion the chain of events that lead to him
merging with Lesion, but he has not learned his lesson.
Symbiote: Bond:
Lesion has to maintain a bond with a host in order to be able to have more control over its
form, otherwise it tends to maintain a more goo-like state. Should the symbiote be separated from
Keith, it can be contained much more easily than if it were still attached to the host.
Symbiote: Heat:
Like all symbiotes, Lesion is weak to fire and other major heat sources. Extreme heat can damage
the symbiote, and as a result it will attempt to get away from any sources of heat like flames, even
going so far as to abandon the host if it comes to it. It is an entirely self preservation
reaction.
Symbiote: Sound:
Extremely loud or high frequency soundwaves can cause disruption to the symbiote, forcing it to
lose cohesion and need to retreat. Continued exposure can even cause the symbiote to break the bond
with the host in order to flee the source of the sound.
