Profile
Kimi Starr, aka Tempest - a woman of mixed Japanese descent who has taken up the fight against the modern day criminal element under her own rules. While still relatively new to all of this, she does not see herself as a 'hero' but instead as a guardian of people who can't, or aren't allowed to fight back.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1990: Born to parents Hikari and Richard Starr in Dayton, OH.
*2009: Accepted to study at Purdue University in accelerated Graduate Program.
* 2012: Accepted to Masters Programs at University of New York.
+ 2014: Offered and accepted position with Brown, Masters and Peak Law Firm, New York, NY.
* 2018: Made Partner at Brown, Masters, Peak and Starr Law Firm.
* 2022: Survived attack of New York, left country to 'find herself' overseas in her mother's homeland.
* 2023: Returned to New York, having found meaning and a new purpose in life - embracing a new path and goals.

Personality
Guilty Conscious:
Even fighting crime, evil and hate in the world - there are times where people must do things they detest. Crossing those lines, causing harm, destruction, and being in the presence of death so often weighs heavily on Kimi. This has caused her to usually shy away from others, putting up a front of authority and business, walling off what she considers her 'humanity' in order to protect herself from the things that she feels she must do, or endure.
Pragmatic:
A quiet individual, who chooses her words carefully, and her actions more so. At first glance she appears to have a disdain for others, but this is only skin deep - as a defensive mechanism to keep the majority of others at arm's length. Beyond the armor, Kimi is an surprisingly caring woman who wants to take others under her wing to teach them how to be the best possible version of themselves they can be.
Pragmatist:
Watching her world go up in flames once has made an impression on the woman known as Kimi Starr. Not taking anything for face value, or anyone's word simply 'because'. There is a level of shrewd self-reliance which marks her very being. In her eyes, the world is not only dangerous, it is vicious; and anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a fool. Experience is the best teacher, and in her line of work - you're lucky if experience doesn't kill you.
Vengeful Spirit:
While Kimi shows kindness and compassion to the very few she has allowed to grow close to her; the danger of crossing someone like her is not to be underestimated. With a temper as violent as hers, the concept of restraint goes out the window. In instances where lines are irrevocably crossed - things like the Geneva Convention and Rules of War become more like 'suggestions'.

Powers
Ablative Winds:
Kimi controls a focused shell of wind around her at the skin level to protect her from incoming attacks, strikes and hits. This deflects and absorbs much of the kinetic force, but can still be penetrated by a strong enough, or pinpoint attack. This can easily deflect an incoming punch, but would be all but useless for a high speed sniper?s bullet for example.
Aero Force:
Magic is the way she described the powers granted to her from her augmentation (mystical tattoo with 'angelic?' blood mixed in.) She is able to generate and control bursts of wind. This allows her to utilize various techniques which she has developed over the past year of having her power. Softening her landings, limited jump enhancement, extending the reach of her blade and attacks utilizing high pressure and focused winds, ranged 'melee' strikes utilizing wind control, etc.
Aero Force : Aero Boost:
Utilizing her control of wind, Kimi can augment her jumps and allow herself limited gliding along the wind currents. This also permits her to cushion her landings from great heights.
Aero Force : Tornado:
Kimi can summon a localized vortex causing moderate to severe damage to those caught within it. Equivalent to an E3 class tornado. The size range she can create is limited, ranging from a few square feet to at most a 10-15m radius.
Aero Force : Wind Slash:
Uses compressed wind to fire a 'shot' by concentrating and either pointing, swinging her blade, punching, or gesturing in a direction. The range on this is limited to at most, 5 meters.

Forensics:
Her time training and working as an Attorney has given Kimi the opportunity to learn quite a bit about Forensics in the world of criminal justice.
Kenjutsu Prowess:
Over the course of intense training has all but mastered the use of her preferred weapon, a medium length dual-edged sword.
Legal Expertise:
She's a practicing high skill attorney, obviously her knowledge of the legal system, laws and whatnot is basically unquestioned.
Multilingual:
Due to her years in higher education, the legal justice system and living in such a melting pot city, Kimi has picked up several languages including her native English, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin, French, German, Hindi and a smattering of Arabic.
Psychologist:
Due to her time in the legal field, understanding, relating to and manipulating the emotional and mental state of others - Kimi has learned a great deal in general psychology.
Skilled Acrobat:
Given her newfound speed and reflexes, Kimi?s study of parkour and acrobatics has become paramount with her new high speed fight style and life.
Skilled Interrogator:
From her time as an Attorney, Kimi's skills in interrogating and discovering what she wants to know out of people are formidable to say the least.
Skilled Markswoman:
Having lived in New York for most of her adult life, Kimi has practiced quite regularly with small arms and rifles and is quite adept at using them.
Skilled Martial Artist:
while not among the realms of the best of the best, Kimi has mastered a personal fighting style based on knowledge of a few different forms of martial arts.
Skilled Tactician:
Her time since her change has given Kimi the time and drive to study modern and ancient military and combat tactics in order to increase her own survivability, but to be able to read the actions of her opponents before they take them.

New York Lifestyle:
As a Partner at a sizable law firm in New York City, Kimi's finances provide her with a more than comfortable lifestyle. Not one to show off, she maintains a modest New York Apartment near Central Park.
Tempest's Blade:
The dual-edged blade Kimi uses as her primary tool in her 'other job'. The sword is blackened in color with gold and red etching along the fuller and pommel. The handle is wrapped in what appears to be a mixture of dark silk and ray skin. The crossguard extends an inch and a half past the outer edges of the blade, and is shaped like a flattened diamond.
Weaknesses
Depression:
Kimi suffers from long term depression, which she takes medication for. While usually not debilitating, public failure, loss or humiliation leave her questioning her very existence and have more than once left her in an almost fugue like state.
Short Fuse:
At first glance, there is the calm, collected, and cool outer armor. Distant and taciturn. But rumbling beneath that exterior is a raging storm of intense anger. She can be easily provoked and has tried time and time again to curb this temper, but has yet to find a means to keep it entirely in check. If pushed too far, that boiling rage could one day consume Kimi and put not only herself, but others around her in mortal danger.
Thalassophobia:
Kimi's fear of large bodies of water, specifically being out on them without land in sight, is utterly paralyzing to her. While she can enjoy a day at the beach or wading in the shallows. Going past that is simply out of the question for her. It leaves her absolutely and utterly incapacitated.
