Latveria

Latveria is a nation in the Baltic states that shares a common border with Hungary, Romania, and Symkaria. It occupies an area roughly 35,000 sq miles. The government of Latveria can be described as a 'harsh benevolence', dispensed at the hands of Victor von Doom. The government is totalitarian in the extreme, an autocracy that recognizes Dr. Doom as the supreme authority. Social welfare policies are surprisingly progressive; employment and literacy are very high and the standard of living is on average higher than Great Britain, France, and other G20 nations. Even child care protocols are mandated by the state, to include ensuring children get plenty of sleep.
