Cast of Characters: James Proudstar, Tabitha Smith

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar sighs in faux exasperation and pulls on a pair of jeans and a plain tee. It is pretty much his whole wardrobe. He kicks on his work shoes and he ties his hair back with a leather strap and smiles picking you up and carrying you downstairs for lunch.
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith flashes him a grin and bends over to pull her boots back on while he's dressing. When he picks her up she notes, "Not complaining, but you sure do seem to be making a habit of this carrying me around."
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar looks at you seriously, "That last time I let you walk someplace we got separated and it took me a subjective 6 months to find you again. How long did it take you to find me?"
Tabitha Smith has posed:
The smile slips briefly off Tabby's face before coming back as she arches a brow at him, "What are you talking about Jimmy?" It's possible he's not talking about what she thinks he's talking about right?
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar looks at her seriously, and kisses her forehead and when he pulls back he's smiling again, "I'm going to be carrying you for a bit okay? Is it really that big a deal? It's not like your weigh anything at all. I've always like carrying you."
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith shakes her head, "I did say I wasn't complaining. I don't mind you carrying me, but people are gonna start wondering if there's something wrong with me that I can't walk." Could be a joke. Probably a joke.
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar nods considering, and smiles, "Walk with a limp when I let you down?"
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith smirks, "No point in pretending. They're going to make me work no matter what I do anyway. When were you thinking on making your poor survival students endure me as a teacher?"
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar smiles and nods, "Usually, the first camping trip is the end of October, right around Halloween. It would be nice to have a female counselor, somebody always gets their period. Statistically, it's not possible. But honestly, you can team teach for any class, and maybe we do a field trip to Mutant town in September?
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods, "Oh good. That gives me time to figure out something to say other than my instinctive babbling." She curls herself around slightly so she doesn't seem like she's dangling.
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar carries her casually to the kitchen and sets her down, so that they can make lunch, "You'll be fine, soon as you take all their money while they're busy playing candy crush you'll have their attention.
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith smirks as she goes into the fridge for the makings for sandwiches. "You want me to start Urban survival by robbing all the students?" She puts her supplies on the table and starts in with the cold cuts.
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar waits to see if Tabby is making them both sammies before grabbing his own fixings. "Well, yeah, I start wilderness survival by marching them into the woods."
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith does indeed seem to be preparing two different sandwiches at the same time but she's preparing both of them the way Tabby likes her sandwiches so whether she's making one for him could be a question mark. "So I rob them while they're playing CandyCrush and then confiscate their phones before they notice I robbed them?"
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar nods, and smiles, "That works, the idea is to get back to the mansion without any resources. You escaped from... something and need to get back home without any resources? Or is that a more advanced lesson?" Jim watches wondering.
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith purses her lips, "Depends on the priorities I suppose. Getting back to the mansion on foot without money or a phone could take a while. The best route back is nearly 50 miles even if they don't get lost." She just happens to have that piece of information right there in her head.... "That's if we start them somewhere nicely central like the park instead of down at the Battery or out in Brooklyn or Queens. That's at least 16 hours of walking for a normal person without extreme speed or flight. Anyone without extra endurance is not going to be able to walk for 16 hours straight without having done it before so right there we're talking more than one day. I would think basic course is just finding lunch without money or a phone."
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar smiles and nudges Tabby, "Don't look now but you're developing your first class plan. I can work on the endurance side, regular hikes are part of the class and we can up that pace if we need to. This is important stuff for them to know, Tabs. When the Shi'ar came most of the kids had go bags ready. That comes directly out of what we've been teaching them. The one's who fled in to the hills and headed for the neighbors did so on paths we use during the hikes. I think adding an urban element, is a good idea. You know about this Tabby, more than me, maybe more than Logan. You are a value add."
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith gives him a bit of side-eye for a moment then shrugs, "Not everyone can accidentally get rescued by a cosmic level god power who looks like Elvis I guess. Endurance is going to be very important for getting somewhere safe from the city without getting into trouble first but hiding is just as important. And being able to recognize what they need to hide from because spotting trouble headed your way can be tough if you're not used to a city."
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar smiles and nods, "Yeah, exactly. Not that spotting trouble isn't my strong suit but what rates as trouble to me, may not be the same for others. This is something you have some expertise in, avoiding trouble and dealing with it when you can't."
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods, "I suppose so. Now I just need to figure out what to do until then. Well I suppose I can work on convincing Sam to recommend me out of training status." She finishes the sammies and passes one over to him. It is notably half again as large as her own.
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar takes the sandwich and nods, "Rogue and Kitty always need help. You could work on Danger Room scheduling? No one is ever up to date with that. Also, Sam works in town if you want to work at Harry's?"
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith hmms. "Harry's. That's an idea except it means I'd have to watch other people drinking instead of drinking with them." She chuckles, "And convince them to give me tips."
James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar nods, "That's where Sam got work, so he can help you out." munches sandwich. "You make a good sandwich as well."
Tabitha Smith has posed:
Tabitha Smith nods, "I guess I have even more to ask Sam about when I see him next. Glad you like it. Sandwiches aren't too hard. Though the BLT Sam made me was better."
