Nabu

Nabu the Wise is a member of the First Gods known as the Lords of Order. When the First Firmament collapsed, Nabu came to settle the Demiurge.

Much to the dismay of his allies, Nabu quit the ranks of the rulers of Gemworld in order to empower allies on Earth. This has left Gemworld significantly more disordered and chaotic due to the weight of power shifting to the Lords of Chaos.

Nabu selects emissaries to be the avatar of Fate. By donning the Helmet of Nabu, a gestalt awareness is formed with Nabu and the wearer's minds. This allows the emissary to channel much of the power of a First God without being destroyed by the primal energies.

Nabu's most recent ally has been Kent Nelson. Kent has largely stopped wearing the helm, frustrating Nabu's plans for the safety of Earth. Kent searches for a successor to pass the helmet on to, and Nabu will not let him die until he does.
