Character Info
Profile
Namora, Princess of Atlantis, has spent years on the surface fighting crime and in her native undersea world, protecting it from any internal and external threats. A child of an Atlantean father and human mother, she can quickly move between the two worlds. Though a staunch supporter of her cousin, Namor, she falls on the side of the angels - sometimes disagreeing with the most radical elements in Atlantean society.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1921: Born Aquaria Neptunia, to Elanna, an Icelandic surface dweller, and Tanas, an Atlantean
in the Atlantean Colony of Maritanis. Nicknamed Namora after her cousin, Namor.
* 1930: Moves to
Atlantis and meets her cousin, Namor, who doesn't think much of her until she saves him from being
stuck in a wrecked submarine's torpedo tube.
* 1930-40: During the next ten years, Namor and
Namora have many undersea adventures together. Her father leaves Atlantis.
* 1946: Her blue skin
color inexplicably fades from blue to her mother's pale skin, so her father finally reveals her
human heritage.
* 1947: The High-Lord Thakorr invites Namora and her father back to Atlantis to
celebrate his birthday. The celebration is overrun and attacked by a group of mobsters led by Stomp
Richards, who kills many Atlanteans, including her father. It injures Lord Thakorr.
* late-1947:
Namora accompanies her cousin to seek revenge for the attack. After revenging themselves, Namora
stays on land to learn about the surface world. She moves in with her cousin's companion, Betty
Dean.
* 1948-1955: Many surface adventures ensue both with Namor and without, including travel to
China, tangling with pirates, and stopping the Troubadour of Terror from killing innocents accused
of stealing his song.
* 1963: Nuclear testing destroys Maritanis. Many colonists die as a
result.
* 1964: With her home destroyed, Namora moves to Lemuria.

* 1973: His jealous spouse, Llyra, poisons
Namora. The seemingly dead Namora is buried in an ice coffin and dropped into the ocean.
* 1986:
Agents of Atlas discover the coffin and revive Namora. She joins the secret organization, teaming up
with them on surface missions.
* 1987 She marries Talan.
* 1991 Still unable to conceive a
child and unhappy, she leaves on a solo adventure during which she meets the Atlantean scientist,
Vrrya, exiled from Atlantis many years before. He convinces Namora that he can clone her. The
pregnancy is successful.
* 1992 Her clone, Namorita is born.
* Early-1995: Talan dies in an
accident.
* 1995: Namor usurps the throne of Atlantis but receives no resistance from Namora.
She continues to run missions with the Agents of Atlas.
* 2011: Arthur Curry proclaims his right
to the throne. Atlantis is divided over the merits of being in contact with the surface and having
Curry as King. Namora sides with Namor and his distrust of the people on the surface despite or
because of her experience with land dwwellers.
* 2011-2018: Resistance to Namor as King grows in
popularity.
* 2018: Namora joins other Atlanteans fighting against Loki's attack on New York.

Personality
Adventurer:
As a child she was curious about the waters around Atlantis and adventured with her cousin.
After the death of her father, her horizons broadened and she roamed both the oceans and land alone
or on missions with the Agents of Atlas.
Altruist:
Namora deeply believes in protecting the welfare of Atlanteans. She will risk herself in
preventing any person or institution from polluting ocean waters and threatening marine
life.
Leader:
Namora will step forward to lead a group when circumstances require it. She is decisive and
accomplished at motivating followers.
Protective:
Fierce and uncompromising in safeguarding the life and security of Atlantis and those closest to
her. She would rather die than see family or friends harmed.
Self-Righteous:
There is nothing that will change Namora's convictions regarding the rights of Atlanteans having
the freedom of the Oceans and a pollution-free environment. She places Atlantis first in all matters
- political and moral.
Underhanded:
The princess is not above using chicanery to accomplish her goals, the means sometimes
justifying the ends. She tries to act honorably in most circumstances but will resort to
compromising herself if she feels the people she wants to protect are at risk. She will kill as a
last resort if it saves the lives of others.
Character Sheet
Powers
Amphibian Adaptions:
Her Atlantean heritage allows her to breath underwater indefinitely.
She is able to hear and
talk underwater.
Circulatory adaptations, allow her to resist the freezing temperatures and
pressure of the ocean depths. She also has eyes adapted to seeing in murky waters. Being half human,
she can breath on land indefinitely without artificial aid.
Aquatic Healing:
Underwater, Namora can regenerate more quickly than the average Atlantean. On the surface, she
heals more slowly but still regenerates with superhuman speed though being separated from water
slows the process and diminishes the ability over time.
Extended Longevity:
The average Atlantean lives to around 125 years. Namora will likely live much longer. Though one
hundred and one years old, she has the physique of someone in their twenties.
Flight:
Mobile on land and in the water! Vestigial wings at her ankles guide her in flight; she can fly
at speeds of 60 mph. Roughly the same rate she swims.
Marine Telepathy:
Namora can communicate with marine animals like Atlanteans in the royal family. There are
instances of her communicating with whales.
Mental Detection:
She is aware of Namor and is able to track him within a limited range.
Superhuman Agility:
More agile than the best human athlete or circus performer. Coupled with her speed, she is a
difficult target to hit.
Superhuman Durability:
Though she can be injured, Namora's hardened tissue structure can resist high force impact
injuries, high caliber bullets, extreme temperatures and energy blasts.
Superhuman Reflexes:
Atlanteans inherently have lightning fast reflexes that surpass the average human many times
over. She is capable of dodging blows and bullets and catching weapons thrown at her and returning
them in the blink of an eye.
Superhuman Speed:
Namora can out race Olympic athletes on land. She is an extremely fast swimmer, capable of
outracing a motor-boat and clocking speeds of 60 mph (50 knots).
Superhuman Strength:
Underwater Namora is stronger than the average Atlantean; she can lift 75 tons but will tire
after prolonged effort. On land is capable of lifting several tons.
Skills
Leadership:
The Princess has never aspired to leading the Atlantean people but could step into the role if
needed. She is a natural leader that inspires confidence in her ability to negotiate and plan
strategy. She led para-military operations from a young age and then joined the Agents of Atlas
where she participated in and led missions.

Atlantis:
The underwater realm is both her strength and weakness. It is the center of her existence and
she would risk her life keeping it safe.
Dehydration:
A sustained period away from water is dangerous to the aquatic princess. It weakens her over
time. Kept out of water long enough, she will die.
Enemies:

Atlanteans, opponents of Namor's reign have no love lost for the Princess. Llyra who once poisoned
