Naomi McDuffie is just a girl who was adopted and goes to school in Oregon. Well, at least that was her life until she gained super powers and moved across country. Now she lives in New York City, goes to a different school and is trying to figure out her powers. Of course, sometimes she also might show up to kick a bad guy in the face. Maybe she might step out to stop a rampaging monster but she's still kinda working out the kinks of having powers.

Timeline:
* 2002.1: Naomi is born to her mother in another dimension, in that same year Zambudo, a powerful villain from her home dimension tries to kill her and her mother sends her to Earth.
* 2002.2: Greg McDuffie, a Rannian who chose exile on Earth, picks up a strange signal nearby and finds a portal with strange enemies spilling through. He fights them off with the help of a former enemy named Dee (a Thangarian) only to have a baby thrust into his arms and the woman who did it died.
* 2002.3: Greg and Jen McDuffie fake all the necessary paperwork with the help of contacts at S.T.A.R. Labs to make it seem like they properly adopted hteir new daughter Naomi McDuffie
* 2019: After growing up relatively normally, two super heroes get into a fight right in the middle of small town Oregon. People start speaking about the 'last' time something like this happened and Naomi starts to investigate.
* 2020.1: Naomi finds out the last time something like this happened was March 14th 2002, the day she was supposedly adopted. She confronts her mother, father, and a mysterious mechanic named Dee who seems to be involved.
* 2020.2: Naomi finds out her true past only for the one item that came with her from the other dimension to activate and unlock all of Naomi's latent abilities, along with a message from her birth mother.
* 2020.3: Zambudo, the man responsible for hte death of Naomi's parents and destruction of her homeworld is able to find her thanks to her new power. They have a confrontation only for Akira, the same woman that helped save Naomi 18 years prior, to push Naomi back to normal Earth. Naomi gives Zambudo one last parting gift, sealing him back in his home dimension for now.
* 2020.4: Naomi tells her parents she has to figure some things out and begins flying across country toward Metropolis.

Adopted:
Being adopted has had a rather big effect on her life. She's always felt like she doesn't fully belong. Sure, she really wasn't from Earth but it's more than that. Even without that information, being adopted made her feel as if there was something missing from her life. She loves her mom and dad but she always felt that there was another life she was missing. Now, even knowing what she knows, she feels even more lost. Especially knowing her homeworld is lost to her and her parents are dead.

Just a Girl:
In a lot of ways, Naomi is just a girl. She worked at a diner, went to school, and she had two loving parents. Now, being adopted had an effect on her but she really lived something of a normal life. She likes to hang out with her friends, enjoys watching TV sometimes, and she enjoys going on the internet.

Make It Better:
Her father and mother always taught her to do good. They raised her to be someone that they could both be proud of. Her father, even though she didn't know it, was a soldier. Her mother a free spirit and while they both had hteir moments, they always wanted what was best for their daughter. Then the last message from her mother hammered it into her mind. She couldn't just be a bad person. She had to make a change in the world for the better. After all, the parents that raised her loved her despite knowing she was different and the mother she never knew loved her enough to give up her life so she could live a good life.

Powers

Agility and Reflexes:
Seemingly, her agility is slightly more enhanced when she is transformed. Despite a lack of training, she was able to snatch the energy constructs of Zambudo out of the air when he attacked. She is likely capable of blocking slow projectiles as well such as arrows as well.

Durability:
She's tough enough to take being thrown through a building, smashing into the ground at supersonic speeds, and capable of taking hits from super powered beings.

Energy Control:
When transformed, she has an energy field about her that she can use for two purposes. One, she can create power energy blasts that have enough force behind them to crater the ground and blow away cars. Two, she can use that field to enhance her own strength and perform even greater feats. She was able to send the being that destroyed her homeworld flying with this enhanced power despite his immense strength. When she uses her energy to enhance her physical attacks, her energy is capable of hitting intangible enemies. As an example, a being made of smoke could be punched by her when her energy enhances her attacks.

Flight:
While she is still learning to fully control her flight, she is incredibly fast. Her speed is such that she was capable of flying from Oregon to New York in just over an hour.

Strength:
After transforming, her baseline strength is enough that she can easily lift and carry a city bus, smash stone, and dent reinforced steel.

Transformation:
Naomi's powers let her transform into an armored form in which she can control the energy that dwells within her. The transformation takes place at will and even sometimes not at will. If she is in danger or tense it can try to kick in.

Skills

Charisma:
She has a natural talent for talking to people. She was a server at a diner and learned a lot about talking to people there but has also shown a rather talent for just getting people to open up and talk to her about just about anything if she can talk to them long enough.

Investigation:
She has a reasonable degree of talent for figuring this out. She understands the need to gather information, put together clues, and follow leads.

Resources

Dee:
He's a mechanic, a big dude, and als a Thanagarian soldier that used to be her adoptive father's enemy. Now, he's kinda like an uncle she didn't know she had. He never interacted with her much but he was there the night she arrived on this planet. He had an interest in making sure she had a good life and now...well, he's still a big strong dude with thangairan training and equipment. If she found herself in trouble he'd probably be right there with Greg McDuffie trying to help her out.

Her Father:
While she has both parents, everyone else often does, too. While her dad might have adopted her, he is still her father and he is also an ex-Ranninan Soldier and still has all the equipment and training. He might have let himself go a bit over the years but he's just rusty. He also has contacts that he can call on. He's always willing to help out his little girl.

Weaknesses

Concentration:
It's not that her powers turn off if she doesn't concentrate, it's that they go wild. The energy that whips up around her is kinda simple to keep in check as long as you are paying attention. You stop concentrating and it can go wild. Until she starts to learn how to control it casually, she's gonna have to keep an eye on it constantly or else she'll end up in pain and with her power flaring all over the place.

Exhausting:
Her powr is just that, exhausting. Even at baseline it starts to take a toll on her after an hour or two. She starts to fire off blasts, powering up her punches, flying around at super high speeds? Well, she'll drain herself quick and she can end up passing out.

Food:
She has to eat a lot of protein. Her power is like a combustion engine inside of her. It needs energy and constantly. She has to eat over twice as much as she used to and it needs to be protein. A lot of it.

Impulsive:
She wants ot help. While that's admirable, it also means she sometimes rushes off into a fight without thinking. As such, she can sometimes get in way over her head before she even realizes it. Sometimes it means she doesn't really have a plan or listen to one.

Totally New:
She's new. Like, brand new. Her powers, her background...heck all of this heroine stuff is new to her. She is going to make mistakes, she doesn't have training with her powers and heck, she barely knows how to fight. All she has is a lot of power and a lot of moxxy. No skill.
