The niece of John Henry Irons, Natasha Irons is both a student and also a worker at the Steelworks. While at school, she also works there to further her skills in computer and mechanical engineering. She is considered a prodigy of both. Secretly, she has helped design and improve upon the Steel armor that was designed just for her. As Steel, she carries on a legacy of the symbol of Superman that she wears proudly on her chest.

Timeline:
* 2001: Born to Clay and Blondel Irons.
* 2005: Clay attempts to be there for his daughter and her brother but is unable due to business. Not fully known is that Clay isn't doing things that are fully above board. Natasha is often in the care of her uncle, John Henry Irons.
* 2010: Ezekiel, her brother is kidnapped by the villain Skyhook over the fact that Clay Irons double crossed him on a heist they pulled. Despite his attempts to rescue Ezekiel, Clay ends up arrested and Skyhook ends up getting away. Ezekiel is never found.
* 2013: Due to family life that is growing unstable, Natasha ends up in the care of her Uncle John.
* 2020: John presents Natasha with the first prototype of his armor he designed for her. Knowing that she was intelligent enough to work on his own armor, he decides to help her join him. He figures he not only can't stop her but also, he can't do it forever.
* 2021: Natasha Irons makes her first appearance as Steel.

Personality

Bold:
The best word to describe Natasha Irons. Bold. She is that and a handful more. She doesn't know how to stop, doesn't know how to quit, and tends to take on the biggest tasks. Despite her intelligence, she doesn't know her limits. In her mind, limits are made to be broken and she's gonna find a way past hers. If she sees an obstacle, she'll overcome it. If she sees a problem, she'll solve it. If she sees an enemy, she'll smash it. Sure, she might fail but that doesn't mean she isn't gonna try even if it is at the detriment to herself.

Loyalty:
She's loyal, in her own way. Loyal to a fault. She doesn't abandon her friends or her family. She's the type not to take an insult lightly but a threat or insult to her friends is unignorable. Even if it costs her dearly, she'll defend those she cares about. Further, once she's decided on you being her friend, it's tough to shake her.

Intellect:
While not precisely a power, it is an ability of hers. She is not always the smartest person in the room but more often than not, she is. She is intelligent enough to understand her Uncle's armor and hammer. She's smart enough to repair them, work on them, and improve them. She's smart enough to understand many things far faster than others.

Combat:
Her skills in combat are not just her armor. Her Uncle made sure she not only knew how to fight but how to fight in and out of armor. He also trained her how best to utilize her hammer. While she's still something of a novice in actual combat, she is highly trained. She has skills, but lacks actual experience.

Engineering:
She's got an incredible amount of skill in engineering with a focus on robotic, mechanical, computer, and electrical engineering. She was capable of making improvements upon her Uncle's armor, fix the design he helped make for her, and is still improving upon it now. She also created her own computer AI to help her with the armor. Further, she created her own version of the hammer her Uncle used with only access to the designs he used.

Multi-Tasking:
Her skills at doing multiple things at once is beyond belief. She can simultaneously keep her mind on multiple things at once. She has had a lot of time doing it. Certainly, she only has two hands but that doesn't mean she can't keep track of one thing's progress while working on another with one hand, writing something with the other, and focusing on the process of yet another thing. This was a skill she was required to build up if she was going to keep track of the sensors in her armor, while fighting, and while keeping track of her hammer. Not to mention also communicating with someone if that is required, too.

Armor:
Natasha's armor was originally designed by her Uncle on her behalf but she worked on her own changes after receiving it. The armor itself is made up of a malleable steel alloy that is tough enough to withstand the attacks of the toughest of foes though not indefinitely. While the armor uses this malleable steel to not just survive but also disperse blows, it is not an indefinite thing and can cause damage to the pilot. Despite this, the armor is incredible tough.

THe armor enhances its wearer's natural capabilities, giving them strength to rival powerful beings that would put the wearer on par with some of the most powerful beings. It gives the wearer a small boost to dexterity and speed, making them capable of feats that would make most Olympic athletes quite jealous. It also provides the wearer with life support system that not only provides oxygen but also protects from environmental factors such as those one might find in space.

Further capabilities include flight that allows supersonic flight, a computerized control system (on board AI) with a powerful firewall, sensor systems (designed to mimic Superman's Sight and hearing, it also include movement sensors, radiation sensors, EMP sensors, and capability of tracking bio- signatures), and it had wrist cannons capable of firing off powerful pulses of energy that could punch holes in steel.

A unique feature of the armor that Natasha has not yet fully perfected is the liquid steel mask that flows out of the helmet to cover her face and allows for direct mimicry of her face and fast removal in situations that might require it.

Kinetic Hammer:
Her hammer is a complicated piece of engineering despite being what seems like just a hammer. Made out of powerful alloys, her hammer is capable of withstanding the attacks of beings on the level of Superman by combining its unique composition with a unique drive inside the hammer that works in tandem with the EM field of the the planet. By using this marvel of engeineering, Natasha can cause the hammer to release powerful EM and purely electrical fields that can disrupt and damage. She can cause the hammer to not just be thrown but to basically fly on its own.

The hammer's unique field causes it to have an inertial dampening field, not only making it easier to swing but also making it so that when thrown, it gets faster the further it is thrown rather than slowing down. At close range, it is, well, a powerful hammer, capable of stopping a speeding car at 10 to 20 yards. At 20 to 30 yards it could stop a semi. Reaching 30 to 40 yards would send a tank flying. Once it passes more than 40 yards of flight time, the hammer has enough force to trouble even the most powerful of beings.

Further, beyond this, the hammer can be locked to the armor or to the Earth. Simply by setting it, she can lock the armor to her back and it'd be unmovable by anyone other than her. If she were to drop the hammer, it locks to the planet itself and could only be moved by someone in her family. The hammer locks down so hard that even the most powerful of beings would likely have an easier time moving the planet than moving the hammer as the hammer almost becomes one and the same.

Steelworks:
Her Uncle's laboratory and her chief source of income. It gives her a base of operations if she needs it, a way to improve her armor, repair her armor, and just generally work on things she has chosen to focus on.

By All Means:
Natasha has a real problem with finding that the ends justify the means. She wouldn't necessarily just kill someone to save another but if she thought the best way to handle a situation involved breaking rules, than she'll break them. It's just the way she's wired. Rules are great up until they aren't. Laws are just right until someone uses it (in her mind) wrong.

Family:
Natasha's father is a career criminal and he's pissed off a few villains, including one known as Skyhook (who is responsible for the disappearance of her brother). Further, while her Uncle is not a man who is easily messed with, he himself could be a target due to her own actions.

Hammer First:
She has another problem where she often feels like she should hammer first and ask questions later. Her actions rushing her into a fight when she feels or thinks the best way to handle it is with a hammer. Despite her intellect, she often believes problems can't be beaten into a solved form.

Her Mouth:
Natasha sometimes runs off at the mouth without thinking. Sometimes cashing checks she can't cash. She doesn't necessarily regret what she said right away but sometimes she has to.

Obstinate:
She's just, not one to really listen to others. When she sets her mind to something, her intellect gets in the way. She thinks she's covered her bases because she's smart enough to usually do so. She doesn't often listen to reason until it's too late.
