Noriko is a teen runaway who has troubles controlling her electricity powers and subsequently ended up a student at Xavier's. She'll be that good friend to tell you if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed even if you don't want her to. Having spent time on the streets, she waits to trust and knows some basic skills on how to survive.

Forthright:
It's a nice name for stubborn, willful, says whatever the __fill_in_the_blank__ she wants whenever. Noriko doesn't live by propriety, but snark and sarcasm. People looking for little white lies or sugary pick me ups should look elsewhere.

Loyal:
Although difficult to get close to, Noriko is extremely loyal once someone has gained her trust.

Push+Pull:
Noriko doesn't have a huge desire to get hurt again after being disowned by her father. It's made it difficult for her to trust people aren't going to abandon her. Even if she's drawn to others to fill the void left behind by her family, she's not going to be left by anyone again, ever.

Electric Absorption:
Noriko absorbs electricity from her surroundings constantly. It's not something she can control, which is why she has her gauntlets to help regulate it. She doesn't know how much she can hold and hasn't made it a priority to find out. She doesn't seem to have to be touching objects to absorb electricity from them.

Electric Discharge:
Noriko is able to discharge electrical energy that has built up in her body. She typically uses her gauntlets to direct the discharge.

Electric Sensing:
Noriko doesn't think of this as a power and maybe it isn't, but she is able to sense charge building up in her body. It's probably really only useful as a party trick, but she can tell you which adapter should be used with what with her eyes closed. It is quite handy for learning how to not explode though. Still, this knack or whatever it is, like the rest of her, is very raw and green, so she still relies on her gauntlets for tried and true power level information.

Electric Velocity:
Noriko is able to discharge electricity in the form of speed (her own). Mainly, her body chews through it fast and gets her going fast. She's just beginning to explore this. Aside from getting extra miles per her hour, It affects her metabolism, thinking, speaking, etc as well.

Nori speaks Japanese and English fluently with barely a trace of an accent.

Leadership:
Noriko shows potential for leadership when placed in such trials, but isn't the type rearing at the bit for such responsibility.

Softball:
Nori has played softball since she can remember. She hasn't had much of a chance to play in recent years though and that all feels like a lifetime ago.

Streetwise:
Nori has a few rough tricks the kids who survive the streets pick up. Although untrained, Nori can and will fight dirty. She knows how to blend into a crowd and "disappear" after sampling a bagel from someone's plate while on a bathroom break. She knows how to crudely overload electronic locks, boxes, etc (if only it worked every time). She knows where to score and how to sleep without getting robbed.

Gauntlets:
Noriko has a pair of cumbersome gauntlets that start just above the elbow and encase the rest of her hands. They are required to help her regulate her charge levels safely.

Street Friends:
Noriko has some street contacts she could lean on in the right circumstances. She wouldn't push anyone for more than they could give, and knows who is good for what.

Control:
Surge does not have control over her abilities, much less than her average peer. This shows up in big and small ways, even with the aid of her gauntlets. She still needs power, so overdoing it on the trickle (leaving the gas on) or letting her power levels get too low can sneak up on her. It can also mean she can misjudge how much juice is required for something. This causes...problems (see weaknesses below)

Electrical Deprivation:
If Surge does not have access to electricity, her health can go downhill. Moving/processing slowly, feeling faint, falling unconscious, or even coma. Any number of more subtle side effects plague her on the daily such as increased irritability, headaches, troubles concentrating, slowness when she isn't making sure her gauntlets are calibrated correctly. The more severe the depletion, the more severed the symptoms.

Electrical Overload:
Surge can also have too much electricity. At first it manifests as faster thoughts, metabolic processes, movement, speech, but it escalates to jittery almost electronic speech and electrically explosive discharges she can't control. The energy has to go somewhere! Why not under this rug? Oops.

The school is visited by Suthtehk The Malefactor's three vampire brides and their army of undead, hell bent on recovering what belongs to them! Divine, the half-Kryptonian visiting the school, draws first blood, figuratively speaking, and ignites a war between vampires and mutants!
Xavier's Ski trip II: Return of the Hunger of the Night	January 15th, 2022	The X-Men investigate the mysterious cave from their first outing in Killington. The cave, as it turns out, is possibly the butthole of a sleeping primordial ice giant, who draws power from every murder in the local town, which transform people into its Wendigo-like servants. After, er, climbing into the creature, its servant attacks, fought off by Warpath, and the giant itself awakens, forcing the team to scramble to save the town from the ensuing avalance. Defeating the titan itself requires defeatnig the seemingly deathless Wendigo servant - ultimately, Rogue defeats it with her own life-stealing abilities, reclaiming the lifeforce stoeln on the titan's behalf, and sending it back to its slumber. Also: the school cancels all future ski trips and everyone votes for tropical vacations.

Chevaline, The Other Red Meat	August 6th, 2021	Dyani, Noriko, and Rogue discover a dead horse that was drained of its blood by a mysterious hooded figure, who promptly escapes into the night. Moments later, Jubilation Lee joins the group, apparently not dead at all. Noriko was right! Dyani remains suspicious, however, as there's just something not right about Jubilee -- something difficult to place and even harder to communicate. Dyani wrangles the living horses while the others leave to get help.

Yet Jean discovers there are several Death Commandos remaining, sent to her home town with one goal: cleansing the entire Grey blooodline.

The X-Men are on high alert as they prepare for a long journey, and the Brotherhood is warned of -- and asked for help with -- the Shi'ar fleet in space.
