Lydia's bedtime routine is fairly standard, even for a vampire. Take a shower to clean off the day's dirt and grime that might have accumulated, followed by the brushing of her teeth. She may be a vampire, but that's no excuse to neglect good dental hygiene. She wiggles into some pyjamas and spends the rest of the morning with her girlfriend, during those precious few hours where they're both awake. Sometmes they talk. Sometimes they cuddle, and sometimes they do other things. Today was a cuddling morning. Then, Lydia falls asleep.

Sleep for the vampiress is different, how that she walks among the ranks of the undead. Instead of the gentle process of slowly shutting layers and layers of consciousness down for restful sleep, Lydia just kinds of... turns off. It's quick and near immediate. One moment she's in bed, tired and weary from the sun, and the next she knows the sun has set and she's awake. Raven has told her that in that time she lays in bed, motionless, like a corpse. No gentle breathing, no heartbeat, no stirring at all. Just *off* in a dreamless sleep.

Except today.

Today she dreams.

She's floating up high above Manhattan, high enough to where she can see the entire island laid out before her, higher than she's ever flown under her own power. Beneath her spreads the amazing metropolis, glittering and alive at night, glowing from the lights that illuminate the streets and buildings. It's a breathtaking view, much like the one of Genosha that she sees from the Asteroid, but close enough to make out the details.

Then six points of light shine on the island, golden beacons to the heavens. One to the far north, not quite the apex of the island but near to it, golden and green light mix and grow. To the south, truly at the nadir of the landmass gold and blue light merge into something strong. To the south west, darkness and light war into something great and powerful. To the south east, gold and neutral light blend into power. To the north east gold and silver light merge into a point of power. And the northwest, a point of absolute white light blends with the gold making it even more radiant that before. Golden lines reach out from each point, seeking each other until they all meet into a familiar symbol: The six pointed star of Israel, the Magen David. As soon as all the lines connect it surges with power, heralding the end.

As that great symbol surges more points of light blossom. Red and black and silver and golden in their own right. The formation is also not unknown to her, the 11 sephirot bloom forth their own power. With each pulse, the blossom on the Magen lessens; closes down; diminishes. With the 11th pulse of energy, the Magen David falls into shadow the power locked into a place of containment.

Lydia wakes with the start. She scrambles over to her laptop and impatiently boots it up. She needs to get this information down before it slides from the forefront of her mind, though she doubts she'll ever forget a single detail of the first dream she's had since she was turned in October. When she's finally able to get into her computer, she brings up the map and finds the points of light that have been burned into her memory, and adds pins, and notes. Then taking out her phone, she sends Jon a quick text. "Check the map. We need to talk. Had a vision." It's only then she realizes what time it is. 1:00 in the afternoon. She hastens to add, "Tonight. We'll talk tonight."
