Prisons

Several facilities across the country exists to house and detain metahuman offenders. In New York, Riker's Island is operated by the New York State Department of Corrections. Furthur south, Gotham City maintains the Blackgate compound, which has some (but limited) facilites for holding metahuman detainees.

California's Department of Justice has a working agreement with the Department of Damage Control to use the DODC Supermax Prison for their violent offenders.

Belle Reve and The Vault are penitentiaries exclusively overseen by the US Government.

The Raft is located in international waters 25 miles off of the coast of New York and is a NATO facility largely operated by SHIELD personnel.
